The relationship among the amount of water imported by pre- wetted lightweight aggregate, IRH and AS was established. A solution polymerization method has been used to synthesize a polyacrylic-type superabsorbent polymer(SAP).The influence of various influential factors,such as the temperature,neutralization degree,cross-linking agen...A solution polymerization method has been used to synthesize a polyacrylic-type superabsorbent polymer(SAP).The influence of various influential factors,such as the temperature,neutralization degree,cross-linking agent,and initiator,on the water absorption capacity of SAP has been investigated.The results show that the absorption can display a non-monotonic behavior depending on the synthesis conditions.The absorption can also change according to the pH,ion types and ion concentration.As the pH value increases,the water absorption capacity decreases significantly.It also decreases if the N^(a+)concentration becomes higher and becomes particularly low in solutions containing Mg^(2+).With the addition of SAP,the compressive strength of cement mortar decreases;the internal relative humidity can be maintained at 96%within 200 hours;and autogenous shrinkage can be reduced by nearly 69%.展开更多

Purpose:This paper presents a new semi-automatic methodology for identifying inter-actor relationships by discerning viewpoints in non-social,political textual corpora.Although previous research has successfully disce...Purpose:This paper presents a new semi-automatic methodology for identifying inter-actor relationships by discerning viewpoints in non-social,political textual corpora.Although previous research has successfully discerned viewpoints,biases,and affiliations based on textual features,the task of relationship analysis in the absence of interactional data remains unaddressed.Design/methodology/approach:We introduce a new paradigm for topic representation as a dynamic,continuous,multi-viewpoint spectrum based on the representation of viewpoints as vectors that capture common topical themes.As a proof of concept,we applied this paradigm to scrutinize the inter-state relationships reflected in the speeches of the UN General Assembly Debate Corpus(UNGDC).Findings:The proposed paradigm effectively identifies discursive trends in UNGDC.Our analysis reveals common attitudes towards the topic and their prominence among different groups of actors and facilitates the analysis of relationships between actors through a quantitative representation of viewpoint similarity.The method also successfully captured temporal shifts in viewpoints and overall discourse trends,correlating with major geopolitical events.Research limitations:One limitation of this study is the method’s sensitivity to data sparsity,which can skew viewpoint representations in cases of low topic involvement.Practical implications:The proposed paradigm can be utilized by scholars in political science and other domains as a tool for semi-automated unsupervised textual analysis of various non-social textual sources,enabling the discovery of latent relationships between actors and the modeling of viewpoints in complex topics.Originality/value:This study presents a novel framework for unsupervised semi-automatic textual analysis of relationships in non-social corpora through a new approach for the representation of viewpoints as thematic vectors.展开更多

In light of the potential of science diplomacy for building Sino-Arctic trust under systemic international conditions of power transition and globalization, this is the natural next step toward exploring triple-helix collaborations. Knowledge-based collaborations between academia, business, civil society, and government also open up avenues for innovation and entrepreneurship by both Arctic societies and Chinese society in attempts to address major challenges to sustainable development in these societies. This paper discusses possible triple-helix knowledge-based collaborations with China by each of the five Nordic countries, and highlights the innovation and entrepreneurial talents of summer school students at the University of International Relations in Beijing in developing projects as part of a course entitled ＂The Global Arctic＂.展开更多
Without the geometry of light and logic of photon,observer-observability forms a paradox in modern science,truthequilibrium finds no unification,and mind-light-matter unity is unreachable in spacetime.Subsequently,qua...Without the geometry of light and logic of photon,observer-observability forms a paradox in modern science,truthequilibrium finds no unification,and mind-light-matter unity is unreachable in spacetime.Subsequently,quantum mechanics has been shrouded with mysteries preventing itself from reaching definable causality for a general purpose analytical quantum computing paradigm.Ground-0 Axioms are introduced as an equilibrium-based,dynamic,bipolar set-theoretic unification of the first principles of science and the second law of thermodynamics.Related literatures are critically reviewed to justify the self-evident nature of Ground-0 Axioms.A historical misinterpretation by the founding fathers of quantum mechanics is identified and corrected.That disproves spacetime geometries(including but not limited to Euclidean and Hilbert spaces)as the geometries of light and truth-based logics(including but not limited to bra-ket quantum logic)as the logics of photon.Backed with logically definable causality and Dirac 3-polarizer experiment,bipolar quantum geometry(BQG)and bipolar dynamic logic(BDL)are identified as the geometry of light and the logic of photon,respectively,and wave-particle complementarity is shown less fundamental than bipolar complementarity.As a result,Ground-0 Axioms lead to a geometrical and logical illumination of the quantum and classical worlds as well as the physical and mental worlds.With logical resolutions to the EPR and Schr?dinger’s cat paradoxes,an analytical quantum computing paradigm named quantum intelligence(QI)is introduced.It is shown that QI makes mind-light-matter unity and quantum-digital compatibility logically reachable for quantumneuro-fuzzy AI-machinery with groundbreaking applications.It is contended that Ground-0 Axioms open a new era of science and philosophy—the era of mind-light-matter unity in which humanlevel white-box AI&QI is logically prompted to join Einstein’s grand unification to foster major scientific advances.展开更多

Furthermore, it is still a country where international relations are under the umbrella of political science and political science itself is heavily influenced by the study of the law. This paper looks at the development of international relations both as a tool for training diplomats and as a topic of study within political science in Chile. It does so within the framework of the social sciences. Using interviews as a complimentary tool of research, it concludes that, along with a marked influence of economics in the study of social sciences in Chile, the country＇s political and social history has shaped the advent of social sciences at the undergraduate level and has dwarfed the growth and contents of both political science and international studies, in spite of the country＇s successful embrace of globalization.展开更多

It refers to Nozadze＇s attempts to comprehend Georgia and Caucasus through the concepts and ca...The paper deals with the political visions of a famous Georgian scientist and public figure Victor Nozadze （1893-1975）. It refers to Nozadze＇s attempts to comprehend Georgia and Caucasus through the concepts and categories of the new discipline of those times--geopolitics. The study uncovers the main propositions of his work On the Geopolitics of the Caucasus （A Struggle for Oil） which could be considered as one of the seminal works in the history of the geopolitical thought of Georgia. The paper argues that Nozadze was significantly influenced by the works of a German geo-politician Erich Obst and he became interested in the problems of geopolitics through the publications appearing in the Journal of Geopolitics. The study proves that geopolitical analysis of Obst and Nozadze are not contradictory; rather they deal with the different geopolitical aspects. The study proposes the geopolitical conception of Victor Nozadze, which could be formulated as follows： for the empires of the old and contemporary times of Caucasus was ＂an area of growth and enlargement＂, ＂an area of competition of geopolitical powers＂, the place where ＂all imperial powers clash each-other＂, ＂Caucasus was and remains an area of competition of geopolitical powers.＂ According to Victor Nozadze, the Transcaucasia was a single entity in geographic terms and due to its geographical location Georgia always strove towards acquiring a leading role in the unification of the Caucasus. He assumed that Georgia should have maintained the same role in the future as well. Although he was well aware of those aspects which hindered the unity of the Caucasus： contradictions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the different foreign orientations of these people. Although he considered continuation of attempts for unification of the Caucasus as a necessity and tried to justify this claim through the norms and rules of geopolitics.展开更多

文摘Without the geometry of light and logic of photon,observer-observability forms a paradox in modern science,truthequilibrium finds no unification,and mind-light-matter unity is unreachable in spacetime.Subsequently,quantum mechanics has been shrouded with mysteries preventing itself from reaching definable causality for a general purpose analytical quantum computing paradigm.Ground-0 Axioms are introduced as an equilibrium-based,dynamic,bipolar set-theoretic unification of the first principles of science and the second law of thermodynamics.Related literatures are critically reviewed to justify the self-evident nature of Ground-0 Axioms.A historical misinterpretation by the founding fathers of quantum mechanics is identified and corrected.That disproves spacetime geometries(including but not limited to Euclidean and Hilbert spaces)as the geometries of light and truth-based logics(including but not limited to bra-ket quantum logic)as the logics of photon.Backed with logically definable causality and Dirac 3-polarizer experiment,bipolar quantum geometry(BQG)and bipolar dynamic logic(BDL)are identified as the geometry of light and the logic of photon,respectively,and wave-particle complementarity is shown less fundamental than bipolar complementarity.As a result,Ground-0 Axioms lead to a geometrical and logical illumination of the quantum and classical worlds as well as the physical and mental worlds.With logical resolutions to the EPR and Schr?dinger’s cat paradoxes,an analytical quantum computing paradigm named quantum intelligence(QI)is introduced.It is shown that QI makes mind-light-matter unity and quantum-digital compatibility logically reachable for quantumneuro-fuzzy AI-machinery with groundbreaking applications.It is contended that Ground-0 Axioms open a new era of science and philosophy—the era of mind-light-matter unity in which humanlevel white-box AI&QI is logically prompted to join Einstein’s grand unification to foster major scientific advances.

These relate to effective organization of large distributed dynamic systems of diverse natures which may require innovative solutions reflecting the growing world dynamics in the 21 st century with emerging challenges and threats to local and global prosperity, stability, and safety.

文摘In Chile, the study of international relations is very limited both in the number of programs and in its scope. Furthermore, it is still a country where international relations are under the umbrella of political science and political science itself is heavily influenced by the study of the law. This paper looks at the development of international relations both as a tool for training diplomats and as a topic of study within political science in Chile. It does so within the framework of the social sciences. Using interviews as a complimentary tool of research, it concludes that, along with a marked influence of economics in the study of social sciences in Chile, the country＇s political and social history has shaped the advent of social sciences at the undergraduate level and has dwarfed the growth and contents of both political science and international studies, in spite of the country＇s successful embrace of globalization.
文摘The paper deals with the political visions of a famous Georgian scientist and public figure Victor Nozadze （1893-1975）. It refers to Nozadze＇s attempts to comprehend Georgia and Caucasus through the concepts and categories of the new discipline of those times--geopolitics. The study uncovers the main propositions of his work On the Geopolitics of the Caucasus （A Struggle for Oil） which could be considered as one of the seminal works in the history of the geopolitical thought of Georgia. The paper argues that Nozadze was significantly influenced by the works of a German geo-politician Erich Obst and he became interested in the problems of geopolitics through the publications appearing in the Journal of Geopolitics. The study proves that geopolitical analysis of Obst and Nozadze are not contradictory; rather they deal with the different geopolitical aspects. The study proposes the geopolitical conception of Victor Nozadze, which could be formulated as follows： for the empires of the old and contemporary times of Caucasus was ＂an area of growth and enlargement＂, ＂an area of competition of geopolitical powers＂, the place where ＂all imperial powers clash each-other＂, ＂Caucasus was and remains an area of competition of geopolitical powers.＂ According to Victor Nozadze, the Transcaucasia was a single entity in geographic terms and due to its geographical location Georgia always strove towards acquiring a leading role in the unification of the Caucasus. He assumed that Georgia should have maintained the same role in the future as well. Although he was well aware of those aspects which hindered the unity of the Caucasus： contradictions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the different foreign orientations of these people. Although he considered continuation of attempts for unification of the Caucasus as a necessity and tried to justify this claim through the norms and rules of geopolitics.
