To meet the need for cultivating application-oriented talents in local universities,this study introduced a project-based learning approach into the reform of bioinformatics experimental teaching.The course was structured around a project titled"Influenza Virus Analysis",comprising four progressive modules:database utilization and information retrieval,sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis,functional and structural prediction,and omics data analysis.These modules were integrated into a coherent research workflow that connected fragmented knowledge and technical skills.During implementation,flipped classroom and group collaboration methods were employed,alongside the establishment of a diversified assessment system emphasizing process evaluation.Teaching practice indicates that the reform effectively enhances students professional application skills,learning experience,and scientific literacy,facilitating a shift from"tool operation"to"problem-solving"capabilities.This study provides a reference model for the reform of bioinformatics experimental teaching in local universities. 展开更多

With the in-depth development of emerging engineering education,higher education has put forward higher requirements for the cultivation of engineering professionals.Professional practical courses are an important part of undergraduate teaching plans,aiming to improve students’practical abilities and their ability to comprehensively apply professional knowledge.To further explore teaching reform and improve the diversified curriculum assessment and evaluation system,this paper proposes a series of teaching reform methods for professional practical courses.It reforms the content and teaching methods of professional practical courses.On the basis of introducing practical application scenarios and cutting-edge technologies,it adds interdisciplinary modules,makes full use of internal and external school resources to break traditional disciplinary boundaries,and integrates interdisciplinary content from cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence,big data,and biotechnology.This enhances students’understanding of industry needs,practical operation capabilities,and awareness of multi-disciplinary integration.Secondly,it promotes a student-centered teaching model,increases students’opportunities for independent participation,and cultivates their independent thinking and innovation abilities.At the same time,it reforms the evaluation system:by comprehensively considering students’performance and achievements in the process of professional practical courses,it measures students’abilities more comprehensively through a multi-dimensional evaluation system.This study provides new ideas for the teaching of professional practical courses. 展开更多

In an era defined by complex,interconnected challenges like climate change,pandemics,and resource depletion,the traditional siloed approach to science education is proving increasingly insufficient.Interdisciplinary project-based learning represents a promising path forward in science education,fostering integrated and holistic learning experiences that move beyond isolated subject learning.Grounded in philosophical ideas of holism,pragmatism,constructivism,and transcendentalism,this article presents a case project illustrating the practical application of interdisciplinary project-based learning.This project engages students in integrating concepts from biology,chemistry,earth science,engineering,and social studies.Through phased activities-research and planning,data collection,implementation,and presentation-students develop a decent understanding of real-world problems while fostering skills in collaboration,problem-solving,and a sense of civic responsibility.Additionally,strategies are proposed to navigate the challenges associated with implementing interdisciplinary project-based learning,including aligning projects with standards,investing in professional development,leveraging community resources,and building support from stakeholders. 展开更多

This study aims to explore the effect of project-based teaching methods on improving students’ abilities in normal universities. This study delves into the practice teaching system based on ability training implemented in normal universities, examining the application of this teaching model in teacher education and the potential challenges it may encounter. Our case study reveals that the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach can effectively transform students from passive recipients of knowledge into active problem solvers, thereby enhancing their critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. However, challenges do exist, including ensuring active participation from all students, providing equal opportunities for each student to develop and showcase their abilities, and completing complex projects within a limited timeframe. Therefore, teachers may need to adjust their teaching strategies, and schools need to provide more resources and support. These adjustments can help the practice teaching system based on ability training better serve teacher education and offer students a higher-quality educational experience. 展开更多

Application Effect of PBL Teaching Method in the Clinical Practice Teaching of Pediatric Neurological Diseases

Objective: to explore the application value of PBL teaching method in the clinical practice teaching of pediatric neurological diseases, and to provide a reference for the clinical teaching of pediatric neurological diseases. Methods: 100 pediatric clinical interns from Dezhou Women and Childrens Hospital were randomly divided into two groups and 50 cases each, with different teaching modes to compare the teaching effect. Results: after the intervention, the DREEM, SRSSDL, theoretical and practical tests and teacher evaluation scores of the study group were significantly higher (P <0.05), and the overall teaching satisfaction was significantly higher compared with the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: the PBL teaching method has a high value in the clinical practice teaching of pediatric neurological diseases, and can significantly improve the teaching environment and learning results of interns, which is worth popularizing. 展开更多

Enhancers and hindrances to doctor-nurse interdisciplinary collaborative practice in Nigeria

The purpose of this study was to identify factors that enhance and hinder interdisciplinary collaborative practice (ICP) among doctors and nurses at the Nnamdi Azikiwe teaching hospital, Nnewi, southeast Nigeria. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey and the quantitative method of data collection was employed. The population was all doctors irrespective of area of specialty and all nurses employed and working in the hospital as at the time of study. Proportionate stratified and convenience sampling methods were used to select study participants according to their categories. Using validated structured questionnaire, data were collected from 110 doctors and 95 nurses in the teaching hospital on their perception on ICP and factors that enhance/hinder ICP. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Specifically, frequencies, percentages, standard deviation and graphic presentation were used for descriptive analysis of scores while the unpaired t test of mean score using Graph Pad Prism, Version 5.30 was used to determine the influence of profession, gender, and years of experience on perception of ICP at 0.05 level of significance. The study found that both doctors and nurses have positive perception on ICP. Their years of experience have significant influence on their perception. Clear individual roles and good working relationships enhance ICP while giving priority to professional status rather than expertise was seen as a prominent hindrance to ICP. The study recommends collaborative continuing education for doctors and nurses to enhance ICP in patient care. In addition, the inclusion of interdisciplinary collaborative practice programmme into the curriculum of medical and nursing students (where it does not exist) would go a long way to strengthen ICP and decrease hindrances when they graduate. 展开更多

Against the backdrop of inter-civilization exchanges and globalization,Beijing International Studies University has addressed the issues of“Sino-Western dual opposition”,“single classroom-based practice”,and“superficial interdisciplinary integration”in the traditional Basic Music Theory Course.With the goal of“integrating Chinese and foreign musical rhythms and cultivating humanistic envoys”,the university has conducted six years of exploration to build a cross-cultural practice system.By reconstructing a three-dimensional curriculum system of“Chinese foundation+Western theory+global diversity”,establishing a three-level practical platform of“classroom-campus-society”,deepening the interdisciplinary integration of“music+foreign languages/communication”,and adopting the“experience-collaboration-creation”three-stage teaching method,the course has transformed from mere music knowledge imparting to cross-cultural competence cultivation.After the reform,students have significantly improved their multicultural awareness and practical abilities,won multiple awards in competitions,and their multilingual musical works have been widely disseminated by the media.Additionally,the course has provided talent support for the“Belt and Road Initiative”and the construction of Beijing’s“Four Centers”.However,challenges remain,such as insufficient development of digital resources and an imperfect teaching evaluation system.In the future,efforts will be made to promote the integration of“music+digital intelligence”and optimize the evaluation system. 展开更多

在人工智能技术深刻变革高等教育的背景下,高校人工智能课程教学面临内容滞后、算力不足、伦理薄弱、评价单一等结构性挑战。为此,文章以浙江大学“人工智能引论”课程为例,分析其“课堂教学+平台实训”理实融合教学模式在新一代科教平... 在人工智能技术深刻变革高等教育的背景下,高校人工智能课程教学面临内容滞后、算力不足、伦理薄弱、评价单一等结构性挑战。为此,文章以浙江大学“人工智能引论”课程为例,分析其“课堂教学+平台实训”理实融合教学模式在新一代科教平台支持下的设计与实施成效。研究表明,该模式通过动态内容更新、渐进式实践、全程伦理引导与多维评价融合,有效促进了学生“认知螺旋发展”能力结构的形成。实证结果显示,平台实训显著提升了学生的实践能力与学习成效,课程感知与环境支持对人工智能素养具有显著正向影响。基于多源反馈,文章从课程内容、平台功能、评价机制与治理框架四方面提出优化策略,旨在为高校人工智能课程改革与复合型人才培养提供可操作的参考范式。 展开更多

【目的】智慧水务作为融合大数据、物联网、智能控制等技术的跨学科领域,已成为保障供排水安全稳定运行、提升水务管理智能化水平、实现降本增效的核心支撑。随着人工智能(AI)技术的快速发展及其在水务工程中的广泛应用,培养非计算机专... 【目的】智慧水务作为融合大数据、物联网、智能控制等技术的跨学科领域,已成为保障供排水安全稳定运行、提升水务管理智能化水平、实现降本增效的核心支撑。随着人工智能(AI)技术的快速发展及其在水务工程中的广泛应用,培养非计算机专业学生的智慧水务实践能力已成为高校环境类学科实践教学改革的重要议题。然而,当前智慧水务方向跨学科本科生的实践培养仍面临严峻挑战,普遍存在学生计算与编程等知识储备不足、AI技术实践课程内容与水务专业需求不匹配、教学资源与试验平台相对匮乏等问题,均限制了学生开展智慧水务工程实践的深度与广度。【方法】基于以上核心困境,本文基于认知负荷与建构主义学习理论,结合智慧水务项目的复杂性与本科生学习特点,系统构建了适应于智慧水务项目培养需求的“感知-解构-迭代”的人工智能实践教学模式,以循序渐进的方式引导学生完成从问题理解到模型应用的全过程学习。【结果】以“供水管网漏损定位”为典型智慧水务应用案例,本文具体呈现了该模式在教学目标设定、教学内容组织及教学实施流程中的具体实现路径。并从理论自洽性、教学设计精准性以及能力迁移的普适性等方面论证了该模式的应用价值与推广潜力。【结论】本文为破解智慧水务AI实践教学难题提供了从理论构建到教学实践的系统性解决方案。 展开更多
