The trajectory of human history is characterized by a persistent battle against disease.Over time,the field of medicine has transitioned from enigmatic witch doctors and herbal remedies to a sophisticated realm of contemporary medicine that includes fundamental medical and health sciences,clinical medicine,and public health.Nevertheless,the present phase of medical advancement encounters significant challenges,particularly in effectively translating basic research findings into practical applications in clinical and public health settings.Scientists increasingly collaborate with clinical experts to overcome these obstacles and address specific clinical issues by delving deeper into fundamental mechanisms.This collaborative effort has created a new interdisciplinary field:engineering medicine(EngMed),which focuses on addressing clinical and public health needs by integrating various scientific disciplines.This article discusses the definition,key tasks,significance,educational implications,and future trends in EngMed. 展开更多

In an era defined by complex,interconnected challenges like climate change,pandemics,and resource depletion,the traditional siloed approach to science education is proving increasingly insufficient.Interdisciplinary project-based learning represents a promising path forward in science education,fostering integrated and holistic learning experiences that move beyond isolated subject learning.Grounded in philosophical ideas of holism,pragmatism,constructivism,and transcendentalism,this article presents a case project illustrating the practical application of interdisciplinary project-based learning.This project engages students in integrating concepts from biology,chemistry,earth science,engineering,and social studies.Through phased activities-research and planning,data collection,implementation,and presentation-students develop a decent understanding of real-world problems while fostering skills in collaboration,problem-solving,and a sense of civic responsibility.Additionally,strategies are proposed to navigate the challenges associated with implementing interdisciplinary project-based learning,including aligning projects with standards,investing in professional development,leveraging community resources,and building support from stakeholders. 展开更多

Higher education increasingly emphasizes the unique role of aesthetic education in cultivating virtue and morality.From the perspective of integrating aesthetic education with teaching,this study develops an analytical framework to explore the theoretical foundations,practical pathways,and teaching mechanisms involved in interdisciplinary aesthetic education course construction at Sichuan University.Employing literature analysis and case studies,the paper systematically examines the theoretical basis of aesthetic education and its contemporary demands in higher education.Specifically,it focuses on Sichuan University’s initiatives in aesthetic education curriculum reform,covering practices such as curriculum design,faculty team development,resource coordination,and collaboration between internal and external institutions.Findings suggest that interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses enrich the content of aesthetic education in universities and enhance students’overall competence;however,these courses also face challenges like insufficient faculty and inadequate evaluation mechanisms during implementation.Consequently,this paper proposes strengthening top-level design,refining the curriculum system,enhancing faculty training,and improving evaluation mechanisms as recommendations for future improvement.This research aims to provide valuable references for aesthetic education reform in higher education in the new era,significantly contributing to interdisciplinary synergy and the comprehensive educational goal of integrating moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education. 展开更多

Multi-platform collaborative MRC-PSO algorithm for anti-ship missile path planning

To solve the problem of multi-platform collaborative use in anti-ship missile (ASM) path planning, this paper pro-posed multi-operator real-time constraints particle swarm opti-mization (MRC-PSO) algorithm. MRC-PSO algorithm utilizes a semi-rasterization environment modeling technique and inte-grates the geometric gradient law of ASMs which distinguishes itself from other collaborative path planning algorithms by fully considering the coupling between collaborative paths. Then, MRC-PSO algorithm conducts chunked stepwise recursive evo-lution of particles while incorporating circumvent, coordination, and smoothing operators which facilitates local selection opti-mization of paths, gradually reducing algorithmic space, accele-rating convergence, and enhances path cooperativity. Simula-tion experiments comparing the MRC-PSO algorithm with the PSO algorithm, genetic algorithm and operational area cluster real-time restriction (OACRR)-PSO algorithm, which demon-strate that the MRC-PSO algorithm has a faster convergence speed, and the average number of iterations is reduced by approximately 75%. It also proves that it is equally effective in resolving complex scenarios involving multiple obstacles. More-over it effectively addresses the problem of path crossing and can better satisfy the requirements of multi-platform collabora-tive path planning. The experiments are conducted in three col-laborative operation modes, namely, three-to-two, three-to-three, and four-to-two, and the outcomes demonstrate that the algorithm possesses strong universality. 展开更多

This paper celebrates Professor Yongqi GAO's significant achievement in the field of interdisciplinary studies within the context of his final research project Arctic Climate Predictions: Pathways to Resilient Sustainable Societies-ARCPATH(https://www.svs.is/en/projects/finished-projects/arcpath). The disciplines represented in the project are related to climatology, anthropology, marine biology, economics, and the broad spectrum of social-ecological studies. Team members were drawn from the Nordic countries, Russia, China, the United States, and Canada. The project was transdisciplinary as well as interdisciplinary as it included collaboration with local knowledge holders. ARCPATH made significant contributions to Arctic research through an improved understanding of the mechanisms that drive climate variability in the Arctic. In tandem with this research, a combination of historical investigations and social, economic, and marine biological fieldwork was carried out for the project study areas of Iceland, Greenland, Norway, and the surrounding seas, with a focus on the joint use of ocean and sea-ice data as well as social-ecological drivers. ARCPATH was able to provide an improved framework for predicting the near-term variation of Arctic climate on spatial scales relevant to society, as well as evaluating possible related changes in socioeconomic realms. In summary, through the integration of information from several different disciplines and research approaches, ARCPATH served to create new and valuable knowledge on crucial issues, thus providing new pathways to action for Arctic communities. 展开更多

以生成式人工智能为代表的新一代数智技术为跨学科教育的新质发展带来广袤机遇。研究从审视跨学科主题学习的现存问题出发,发现突出问题包括学科整合拼盘化与任务设计浅散化、活动组织形式单一与空间资源受限、评价方式单一与评价标准... 以生成式人工智能为代表的新一代数智技术为跨学科教育的新质发展带来广袤机遇。研究从审视跨学科主题学习的现存问题出发,发现突出问题包括学科整合拼盘化与任务设计浅散化、活动组织形式单一与空间资源受限、评价方式单一与评价标准模糊。针对这些问题,研究接着从内容增强、场景拓展和证据生成三个层面剖析了数智技术赋能跨学科主题学习的内在机理。最后,研究提出了数智赋能跨学科主题学习的设计、实施与评价的关键路径。在设计路径方面,搭建“跨学科教学设计”教育智能体,形成人机协同的跨学科教学设计模式;在实施路径方面,打造跨学科智慧教学空间,丰富教学资源供给,形成多样态的跨学科主题学习活动组织形式;在评价路径方面,坚持素养导向评价,借由数智技术赋能实现循证跨学科教学评价。研究对切实推进跨学科教育的数智化转型与新质发展提供理论与实践参考。 展开更多

世界是物质的,物质是运动的,时间和空间维度的特征共同揭示了运动的物质世界的本质。随着人工智能技术和数据获取手段的迅猛发展,大规模时空数据的智能建模与解析已成为可能,这也推动了更深层次的技术突破与科学创新,新兴学科——时空... 世界是物质的,物质是运动的,时间和空间维度的特征共同揭示了运动的物质世界的本质。随着人工智能技术和数据获取手段的迅猛发展,大规模时空数据的智能建模与解析已成为可能,这也推动了更深层次的技术突破与科学创新,新兴学科——时空智能学STI(Spatio-Temporal Intelligence)应运而生。作为一个多学科交叉领域,STI致力于将时空数据与智能计算方法融合,从而开辟空天、空地、空海、深空、社会经济和智慧医疗等多领域多场景的全新应用,并推动从数据采集、分析到决策的全链路智能化,助力提升关键领域的决策效率与资源管理水平。本文首先回顾了地球科学研究的历史演进,从以测绘与制图为核心的大地测量学,到以空间信息服务为重点的地理信息学,再到当前新兴的时空智能学,充分展现了人类在测绘、测量及理解物理世界能力上的不断突破与发展。随着人工智能的广泛应用,我们正从静态空间数据分析逐步迈向动态时空数据的智能化处理与实时决策,这一转变映射了社会的深刻变迁:从以机械与物流效率为核心的工业时代,到以数字化与互联为特征的信息时代,再迈向以数据驱动洞察与自主决策为标志的智能时代。在此背景下,本文系统探讨了时空智能的核心概念、研究目标与范围,分析其与相关学科的交叉融合,阐述了典型应用场景,并从科学研究与实践应用两个维度剖析其潜在价值与意义。在当今复杂多变的世界中,时空智能不仅为更精准的知识发现开辟了新路径,也在弥合科学认知与生产实践之间的鸿沟方面展现出巨大潜力。 展开更多

Interest in integrating design methodologies within interdisciplinary teaching has emerged as a strong method for increasing student learning and creativity, especially in integrating art and education. This study discusses the theoretical underpinnings of design-based teaching methodology and its practical applications in interdisciplinary settings. It discusses current practices and emerging trends in how design thinking principles bridge the gap between artistic expression and educational pedagogy. The results highlight the importance of a collaborative learning environment, an iterative process, and project-based approaches that allow the development of skills related to creativity besides the analytical ones. The main strategies in implementing methodologies for such purposes and their impact on student engagement in learning are discussed. 展开更多
