Purpose: Formal concept analysis(FCA) and concept lattice theory(CLT) are introduced for constructing a network of IDR topics and for evaluating their effectiveness for knowledge structure exploration.Design/methodolo...Purpose: Formal concept analysis(FCA) and concept lattice theory(CLT) are introduced for constructing a network of IDR topics and for evaluating their effectiveness for knowledge structure exploration.Design/methodology/approach: We introduced the theory and applications of FCA and CLT, and then proposed a method for interdisciplinary knowledge discovery based on CLT. As an example of empirical analysis, interdisciplinary research(IDR) topics in Information & Library Science(LIS) and Medical Informatics, and in LIS and Geography-Physical, were utilized as empirical fields. Subsequently, we carried out a comparative analysis with two other IDR topic recognition methods.Findings: The CLT approach is suitable for IDR topic identification and predictions.Research limitations: IDR topic recognition based on the CLT is not sensitive to the interdisciplinarity of topic terms, since the data can only reflect whether there is a relationship between the discipline and the topic terms. Moreover, the CLT cannot clearly represent a large amounts of concepts.Practical implications: A deeper understanding of the IDR topics was obtained as the structural and hierarchical relationships between them were identified, which can help to get more precise identification and prediction to IDR topics.Originality/value: IDR topics identification based on CLT have performed well and this theory has several advantages for identifying and predicting IDR topics. First, in a concept lattice, there is a partial order relation between interconnected nodes, and consequently, a complete concept lattice can present hierarchical properties. Second, clustering analysis of IDR topics based on concept lattices can yield clusters that highlight the essential knowledge features and help display the semantic relationship between different IDR topics. Furthermore, the Hasse diagram automatically displays all the IDR topics associated with the different disciplines, thus forming clusters of specific concepts and visually retaining and presenting the associations of IDR topics through multiple inheritance relationships between the concepts.展开更多
BACKGROUND Treating periodontally hopeless teeth with advanced bone resorption and severe tooth mobility is a great challenge for both orthodontists and periodontists.Biofilm-induced periodontal inflammation and occlu...BACKGROUND Treating periodontally hopeless teeth with advanced bone resorption and severe tooth mobility is a great challenge for both orthodontists and periodontists.Biofilm-induced periodontal inflammation and occlusal trauma-related inflammation may synergistically aggravate tooth mobility.This case report illustrates that even periodontally hopeless teeth can be saved and have long-term stability with comprehensive periodontal treatment to control periodontal inflammation and promote periodontal bone regeneration and intricate orthodontic mechanical control to correct cross bite and occlusal trauma.CASE SUMMARY A 27-year-old female patient whose chief complaint was severe tooth mobility and discomfort of the maxillary incisor was diagnosed with severe aggressive periodontitis by clinical and radiographic examinations.To reduce tooth mobility and establish stable occlusion,we combined orthodontic treatment with periodontal therapy to preserve the tooth.Orthodontic treatment was performed after basic periodontal therapy and periodontal surgery.The loosened upper right central incisor was successfully retained,and the periodontal tissue remained stable during follow-up.CONCLUSION Teeth with severe mobility and bone loss can be saved through interdisciplinary treatment when periodontal inflammation is strictly controlled.展开更多

Based on Rogers' learner-centered humanistic teaching approach which emphasizes students' involvement and experiences in learning, EFMH puts students and their practice in a central place. After four-year exploration and operation, the Forum has developed from a small-scaled embryo into an internationalized, standardized and professionalized event, having produced fruitful outcomes. 文摘Social media platforms collect information from complex human social behaviors.It has been shown that they significantly impact capital markets.This article conducts a bibliometric analysis of 363 high-quality articles from the Web of Science on social media and capital markets.First,a descriptive analysis was performed,including discipline distribution,growth trends,institutions,publication sources,influential authors,articles,and countries.Second,collaborative networks identify cooperation between countries and institutions in the network analysis section.Bibliometric coupling analysis determines the relationship between journals of different disciplines.Cluster analysis and keyword co-occurrence networks identify hot research topics.Burst detection and keyword time zone analysis track field development.Finally,keyword analysis and clustering analysis are conducted on the research of different disciplines.These sample papers mainly include seven hot topics,including sentiment analysis and financial market prediction.Articles in business and finance focus more on social media’s impact on capital markets.In contrast,information technology articles focus more on extracting information from social media.Each field also has its unique research directions.This paper contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the research on social media and capital markets.It offers perspectives on disciplinary differences,serving as a valuable scholarly reference for conducting in-depth research.

文摘Higher education increasingly emphasizes the unique role of aesthetic education in cultivating virtue and morality.From the perspective of integrating aesthetic education with teaching,this study develops an analytical framework to explore the theoretical foundations,practical pathways,and teaching mechanisms involved in interdisciplinary aesthetic education course construction at Sichuan University.Employing literature analysis and case studies,the paper systematically examines the theoretical basis of aesthetic education and its contemporary demands in higher education.Specifically,it focuses on Sichuan University’s initiatives in aesthetic education curriculum reform,covering practices such as curriculum design,faculty team development,resource coordination,and collaboration between internal and external institutions.Findings suggest that interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses enrich the content of aesthetic education in universities and enhance students’overall competence;however,these courses also face challenges like insufficient faculty and inadequate evaluation mechanisms during implementation.Consequently,this paper proposes strengthening top-level design,refining the curriculum system,enhancing faculty training,and improving evaluation mechanisms as recommendations for future improvement.This research aims to provide valuable references for aesthetic education reform in higher education in the new era,significantly contributing to interdisciplinary synergy and the comprehensive educational goal of integrating moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education.

文摘Interdisciplinary Integrated Teaching is based on constructivist learning theory,systems theory,and collaborative learning theory,emphasising the comprehensive nature of knowledge and its contextual application.Constructivism holds that learning is a process of constructing personal cognition through the integration of knowledge from different fields,while systems theory emphasises that the diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases such as RA require a multidisciplinary collaborative perspective.Collaborative learning theory supports the cultivation of students’comprehensive abilities and problem-solving skills through teamwork.RA is a chronic,systemic autoimmune disease involving multiple organ systems and complex management strategies.Interdisciplinary integrated teaching integrates disciplines such as rheumatology and immunology,imaging,and pharmacy to help students understand the pathophysiological mechanisms,diagnostic criteria,treatment protocols,and patient management of RA,thereby enhancing their ability to address complex diseases.

文摘Interdisciplinary research plays a crucial role in addressing complex problems by integrating knowledge from multiple disciplines.This integration fosters innovative solutions and enhances understanding across various fields.This study explores the historical and sociological development of interdisciplinary research and maps its evolution through three distinct phases:pre-disciplinary,disciplinary,and post-disciplinary.It identifies key internal dynamics,such as disciplinary diversification,reorganization,and innovation,as primary drivers of this evolution.Additionally,this study highlights how external factors,particularly the urgency of World War II and the subsequent political and economic changes,have accelerated its advancement.The rise of interdisciplinary research has significantly reshaped traditional educational paradigms,promoting its integration across different educational levels.However,the inherent contradictions within interdisciplinary research present cognitive,emotional,and institutional challenges for researchers.Meanwhile,finding a balance between the breadth and depth of knowledge remains a critical challenge in interdisciplinary education.
文摘As urbanization process has been and will be happening in an unprecedented scale worldwide,strong requirements from academic research and practical fields for smart management and intelligent planning of cities are pressing to handle increasing demands of infrastructure and potential risks of inhabitants’agglomeration in disaster management.Geospatial data and geographic information systems(GISs)are essential components for building smart cities in a basic way that maps the physical world into virtual environment as a referencing framework.On higher level,GIS has been becoming very important in smart cities on different sectors.In the digital city era,digital maps and geospatial databases have long been integrated in workflows in land management,urban planning and transportation in government.People have anticipated GIS to be more powerful not only as an archival and data management tool but also as spatial models for supporting decision-making in intelligent cities.Successful applications have been developed in private and public organizations by using GIS as a platform for data integration,a system for geospatial analysis and collection of models for visualization and decision-making.Location-based services on smart mobile devices in ubiquitous telecommunication networks are now an indispensable function that expands knowledge of the nature and connections among people.On data side,crowd-sourcing,real-time urban sensing and true 3-dimensional(3D)models and visualization have provided more advantages of GIS to final users and at the same time challenged current available solutions and technologies of data handling,visualization and human–computer interaction.On the technological side,Web 2.0 participatory applications provide the framework and environment for GIS to closer link to photogrammetry and computer vision,which empowers smart devices more capabilities.How to manage big geo-tagged data volumes collected by numerous sensors and implement professional GIS functions in a cloud computing environment are urgent questions to facilitate smart cities management.This paper reviews advancements of GIS in the management of cities as information systems to facilitate urban modelling and decision-making,as referencing basis to integrate social network media,and concludes that an interdisciplinary urban GIS is needed to support development of smart cities.We take Singapore as a case of GIS pervasive applications,which has strategically made a master plan of national information infrastructure and has been implementing geospatial collaboration environments for public and private sectors.

文摘Purpose: Formal concept analysis(FCA) and concept lattice theory(CLT) are introduced for constructing a network of IDR topics and for evaluating their effectiveness for knowledge structure exploration.Design/methodology/approach: We introduced the theory and applications of FCA and CLT, and then proposed a method for interdisciplinary knowledge discovery based on CLT. As an example of empirical analysis, interdisciplinary research(IDR) topics in Information & Library Science(LIS) and Medical Informatics, and in LIS and Geography-Physical, were utilized as empirical fields. Subsequently, we carried out a comparative analysis with two other IDR topic recognition methods.Findings: The CLT approach is suitable for IDR topic identification and predictions.Research limitations: IDR topic recognition based on the CLT is not sensitive to the interdisciplinarity of topic terms, since the data can only reflect whether there is a relationship between the discipline and the topic terms. Moreover, the CLT cannot clearly represent a large amounts of concepts.Practical implications: A deeper understanding of the IDR topics was obtained as the structural and hierarchical relationships between them were identified, which can help to get more precise identification and prediction to IDR topics.Originality/value: IDR topics identification based on CLT have performed well and this theory has several advantages for identifying and predicting IDR topics. First, in a concept lattice, there is a partial order relation between interconnected nodes, and consequently, a complete concept lattice can present hierarchical properties. Second, clustering analysis of IDR topics based on concept lattices can yield clusters that highlight the essential knowledge features and help display the semantic relationship between different IDR topics. Furthermore, the Hasse diagram automatically displays all the IDR topics associated with the different disciplines, thus forming clusters of specific concepts and visually retaining and presenting the associations of IDR topics through multiple inheritance relationships between the concepts.
文摘BACKGROUND Treating periodontally hopeless teeth with advanced bone resorption and severe tooth mobility is a great challenge for both orthodontists and periodontists.Biofilm-induced periodontal inflammation and occlusal trauma-related inflammation may synergistically aggravate tooth mobility.This case report illustrates that even periodontally hopeless teeth can be saved and have long-term stability with comprehensive periodontal treatment to control periodontal inflammation and promote periodontal bone regeneration and intricate orthodontic mechanical control to correct cross bite and occlusal trauma.CASE SUMMARY A 27-year-old female patient whose chief complaint was severe tooth mobility and discomfort of the maxillary incisor was diagnosed with severe aggressive periodontitis by clinical and radiographic examinations.To reduce tooth mobility and establish stable occlusion,we combined orthodontic treatment with periodontal therapy to preserve the tooth.Orthodontic treatment was performed after basic periodontal therapy and periodontal surgery.The loosened upper right central incisor was successfully retained,and the periodontal tissue remained stable during follow-up.CONCLUSION Teeth with severe mobility and bone loss can be saved through interdisciplinary treatment when periodontal inflammation is strictly controlled.
文摘To conform to the college English teaching reform from English for General Purposes (EGP) to English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in the vital transfer era, the Foreign Language Department of Second Military Medical University (中央人民政府) launched an English for Medical Academic Purpose (EMAP) curriculum with English Forum on Medical Humanities (EFMH), a project-based teaching practice. Based on Rogers' learner-centered humanistic teaching approach which emphasizes students' involvement and experiences in learning, EFMH puts students and their practice in a central place. After four-year exploration and operation, the Forum has developed from a small-scaled embryo into an internationalized, standardized and professionalized event, having produced fruitful outcomes. It is expected that the success of EFMH will provide inspiring experiences and enlightenments for higher medical education in terms of academic English teaching and teachers' responsibilities to foster high-quality medical students.
