Sustainability evaluation of regional microgrid interconnection system is conducive to a profound and comprehensive understanding of the impact of interconnection system projects.In order to realize the comprehensive and scientific intelligent evaluation of the system,this paper proposes an evaluation model based on combination entropy weight rank order-technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution(TOPSIS)and Niche Immune Lion Algorithm-Extreme Learning Machine with Kernel(NILAKELM).Firstly,the sustainability evaluation indicator system of the regional microgrid interconnection system is constructed fromfour aspects of economic,environmental,social,and technical characteristics,and the evaluation indicators are explained.Then,the classical evaluationmodel based on TOPSIS is constructed,and the entropy weight method and rank order method(RO)are coupled to obtain the indicator weight.The niche immune algorithm is used to improve the lion algorithm,and the improved lion algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of KELM,and the intelligent evaluation model based on NILA-KELM is obtained to realize fast real-time calculation.Finally,the scientificity and accuracy of themodel proposed in this paper are verified.The model proposed in this paper has the lowest RMSE,MAE and RE values,indicating that its intelligent evaluation results are the most accurate.This study is conducive to the horizontal comparison of the overall performance of regional microgrid interconnection system projects,helps investors to choose the most promising project scheme,and helps the government to find feasible project. 展开更多

The effects of adjacent metal layers and space between metal lines on the temperature rise of multilevel ULSI interconnect lines are investigated by modeling a three-layer interconnect. The heat dissipation of various metallization technologies concerning the metal and low-k dielectric employment is simulated in detail. The Joule heat generated in the interconnect is transferred mainly through the metal lines in each metal layer and through the path with the smallest thermal resistance in each Ield layer. The temperature rises of Al metallization are approximately pAl/pCu times higher than those of Cu metallization under the same conditions. In addition, a thermal problem in 0.13μm globe interconnects is studied for the worst case, in which there are no metal lines in the lower interconnect layers. Several types of dummy metal heat sinks are investigated and compared with regard to thermal efficiency,influence on parasitic capacitance,and optimal application by combined thermal and electrical simula- tion. 展开更多

The increasing proportion of distributed photovoltaics(DPVs)and electric vehicle charging stations in low-voltage distribution networks(LVDNs)has resulted in challenges such as distribution transformer overloads and voltage violations.To address these problems,we propose a coordinated planning method for flexible interconnections and energy storage systems(ESSs)to improve the accommodation capacity of DPVs.First,the power-transfer characteristics of flexible interconnection and ESSs are analyzed.The equipment costs of the voltage source converters(VSCs)and ESSs are also analyzed comprehensively,considering the differences in installation and maintenance costs for different installation locations.Second,a bilevel programming model is established to minimize the annual comprehensive cost and yearly total PV curtailment capacity.Within this framework,the upper-level model optimizes the installation locations and capacities of the VSCs and ESSs,whereas the lower-level model optimizes the operating power of the VSCs and ESSs.The proposed model is solved using a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm with an elite strategy(NSGA-II).The effectiveness of the proposed planning method is validated through an actual LVDN scenario,which demonstrates its advantages in enhancing PV accommodation capacity.In addition,the economic benefits of various planning schemes with different flexible interconnection topologies and different PV grid-connected forms are quantitatively analyzed,demonstrating the adaptability of the proposed coordinated planning method. 展开更多

With sustaining change of production mode,layout planning is no longer a thing built once for all.Cellular layout(CL) is becoming a hotspot in the research field of manufacturing system layout.Traditional researches on layout planning are mainly concentrating on aspects of layout arithmetic,style and evaluation,etc.Relatively seldom efforts are paid to CL and its specific problems as cell formation(CF),equipment sharing and CL analysis.Through problem analyzing of layout in cellular manufacturing system(CMS),research approach of cell formation,interactive layout and layout analysis threaded with process interconnection relationship(PIR) is proposed.Typical key technologies in CL like CF technology based on similarity analysis of part processes,interactive visual layout technology,layout evaluation technology founded on PIR analysis and algorithm of cell equipment sharing are put forward.Against the background of one enterprise which encounters problems of low utility of key equipments and disperse material logistic,an example of four-cell layout is given.The CL adjustment and analysis results show that equipment with high level of sharing degree should be disposed around the boundary of its main cell,and be near to other sharing cells as possible; process route should be centralized by all means,so equipment adjustment is to be implemented along direction that route intersection can be decreased; giving consideration to the existence of discrete cell,logistic route and its density should be centralized to cells formed.The proposed research can help improve equipment utility and material logistic efficiency of CL,and can be popularized to other application availably. 展开更多

An adaptive decentralized asymptotic tracking control scheme is developed in this paper for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems with unknown strong interconnections,unknown time-varying parameters,and disturbances.First,by employing the intrinsic properties of Gaussian functions for the interconnection terms for the first time,all extra signals in the framework of decentralized control are filtered out,thereby removing all additional assumptions imposed on the interconnec-tions,such as upper bounding functions and matching conditions.Second,by introducing two integral bounded functions,asymptotic tracking control is realized.Moreover,the nonlinear filters with the compensation terms are introduced to circumvent the issue of“explosion of complexity”.It is shown that all the closed-loop signals are bounded and the tracking errors converge to zero asymptotically.In the end,a simulation example is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

The traditional distributed tactical training simulation system is limited by the availability and bandwidth of military network transmission channel and does not have the feasibility of remote interconnection and spatial sub-regional deployment.In this paper,a new communication method of distributed tactical training simulation system is proposed to solve the problem of strong business coupling between nodes and system availability under the condition of low bandwidth.The operator of federated exchange,federated queue and their concepts and design requirements are firstly proposed,and the inverted tree,triangle,ring exchange topology and circular queue structure are further constructed.Theoretically,the expected goal of high-speed interworking between nodes in the cluster and high reliable transmission between clusters is realized.The example also shows that this method can significantly improve the throughput of single switching node and federated node after using reliability confirmation mechanism. 展开更多

A Scalable Interconnection Scheme in Many-Core Systems

Recent architectures of multi-core systems may have a relatively large number of cores that typically ranges from tens to hundreds;therefore called many-core systems.Such systems require an efficient interconnection network that tries to address two major problems.First,the overhead of power and area cost and its effect on scalability.Second,high access latency is caused by multiple cores’simultaneous accesses of the same shared module.This paper presents an interconnection scheme called N-conjugate Shuffle Clusters(NCSC)based on multi-core multicluster architecture to reduce the overhead of the just mentioned problems.NCSC eliminated the need for router devices and their complexity and hence reduced the power and area costs.It also resigned and distributed the shared caches across the interconnection network to increase the ability for simultaneous access and hence reduce the access latency.For intra-cluster communication,Multi-port Content Addressable Memory(MPCAM)is used.The experimental results using four clusters and four cores each indicated that the average access latency for a write process is 1.14785±0.04532 ns which is nearly equal to the latency of a write operation in MPCAM.Moreover,it was demonstrated that the average read latency within a cluster is 1.26226±0.090591 ns and around 1.92738±0.139588 ns for read access between cores from different clusters. 展开更多

This study presents a comprehensive impact analysis of the rotor angle stability of a proposed international connection between the Philippines and Sabah,Malaysia,as part of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)Power Grid.This study focuses on modeling and evaluating the dynamic performance of the interconnected system,considering the high penetration of renewable sources.Power flow,small signal stability,and transient stability analyses were conducted to assess the ability of the proposed linked power system models to withstand small and large disturbances,utilizing the Power Systems Analysis Toolbox(PSAT)software in MATLAB.All components used in the model are documented in the PSAT library.Currently,there is a lack of publicly available studies regarding the implementation of this specific system.Additionally,the study investigates the behavior of a system with a high penetration of renewable energy sources.Based on the findings,this study concludes that a system is generally stable when interconnection is realized,given its appropriate location and dynamic component parameters.Furthermore,the critical eigenvalues of the system also exhibited improvement as the renewable energy sources were augmented. 展开更多

Scalability is an important issue in the design of interconnection networks for massively parallel systems. In this paper a scalable class of interconnection network of Hex-Cell for massively parallel systems is introduced. It is called Multilayer Hex-Cell (MLH). A node addressing scheme and routing algorithm are also presented and discussed. An interesting feature of the proposed MLH is that it maintains a constant network degree regardless of the increase in the network size degree which facilitates modularity in building blocks of scalable systems. The new addressing node scheme makes the proposed routing algorithm simple and efficient in terms of that it needs a minimum number of calculations to reach the destination node. Moreover, the diameter of the proposed MLH is less than Hex-Cell network. 展开更多

In many regions,international power system interconnections provide economic,energy-security,environmental,and technical benefits.In contrast,such interconnections remain scarce in Northeast Asia.In 2016,after approving a joint memorandum of understanding between major electric power companies from China,Japan,South Korea,and Russia,related initiatives regained momentum in the region.Nevertheless,the corresponding developments in Japan remain limited,mainly owing to the lack of involvement of Japanese electric power companies.This study represents a pioneering attempt to provide an economic assessment based on power exchange prices of a power system interconnection between Japan and South Korea regarding the competitiveness of electric power companies in terms of competitive business segments and strategic consequences.We found that although the position of Japanese generators may slightly deteriorate,that of the supply segment would substantially improve,thus suggesting that more opportunities than threats are derived from the interconnection.This promising outcome may foster the adoption of an interconnection with South Korea considering the positive economic and business perspectives in Japan.Furthermore,realizing the interconnection may improve the energy security and air quality in the region. 展开更多

This work aims at exploring the effects of the interconnection between isolated electric power systems upon some important aspects such as enhancing reliability levels along with reducing installation and operation costs. To discern the advantages associated with this study, the developed methodology has been applied to three existing power systems in the northern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presently within the concession domain of the Saudi Electric Company (SEC). These systems have been established to meet the present loads and to withstand future electrical demands for a period of time before additional generation and transmission reinforcements are needed. In this work, reliability measures have been utilized to determine the period that these systems can fulfill the present and future loads without affecting the reliability levels and the threshold that an additional capacity should be added to maintain those required reliability levels. In application to the reliability criteria, technical, operational and economic advantages can be realized, i.e., higher reliability levels and lower installation and operation costs after the proposed interconnection between these selected isolated power systems take place. 展开更多

Interconnection planning involving bi-directional converters(BdCs)is crucial for enhancing the reliability and robustness of hybrid alternating current(AC)/direct current(DC)microgrid clusters with high penetrations of renewable energy resources(RESs).However,challenges such as the non-convex nature of BdC efficiency and renewable energy uncertainty complicate the planning process.To address these issues,this paper proposes a tri-level BdC-based planning framework that incorporates dynamic BdC efficiency and a data-correlated uncertainty set(DcUS)derived from historical data patterns.The proposed framework employs a least-squares approximation to linearize BdC efficiency and constructs the DcUS to balance computational efficiency and solution robustness.Additionally,a fully parallel column and constraint generation algorithm is developed to solve the model efficiently.Numerical simulations on a practical hybrid AC/DC microgrid system demonstrate that the proposed method reduces interconnection costs by up to 21.8%compared to conventional uncertainty sets while ensuring robust operation under all considered scenarios.These results highlight the computational efficiency,robustness,and practicality of the proposed approach,making it a promising solution for modern power systems. 展开更多

Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(PMSMs)are widely employed in high-performance drive applications due to their superior efficiency and dynamic capabilities.However,their control remains challenging owing to nonlinear dynamics,parameter variations,and unmeasurable external disturbances,particularly load torquefluctuations.This study proposes an enhanced Interconnection and Damp-ing Assignment Passivity-Based Control(IDA-PBC)scheme,formulated within the port-controlled Hamiltonian(PCH)framework,to address these limitations.A nonlinear disturbance observer is embedded to estimate and compensate,in real time,for lumped mis-matched disturbances arising from parameter uncertainties and external loads.Additionally,aflatness-based control strategy is employed to generate the desired current references within the nonlinear drive system,ensuring accurate tracking of time-varying speed commands.This integrated approach preserves the system’s energy-based structure,enabling systematic stability analysis while enhancing robustness.The proposed control architecture also maintains low complexity with a limited number of tunable parameters,facilitating practical implementation.Simulation and experimental results under various operating conditions demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.Comparative analysis with conventional proportional-integral(PI)control and standard IDA-PBC strategies confirms its capability to handle disturbances and maintain dynamic performance. 展开更多
