Biography videos based on life performances of prominent figures in history aim to describe great mens' life.In this paper,a novel interactive video summarization for biography video based on multimodal fusion is ...Biography videos based on life performances of prominent figures in history aim to describe great mens' life.In this paper,a novel interactive video summarization for biography video based on multimodal fusion is proposed,which is a novel approach of visualizing the specific features for biography video and interacting with video content by taking advantage of the ability of multimodality.In general,a story of movie progresses by dialogues of characters and the subtitles are produced with the basis on the dialogues which contains all the information related to the movie.In this paper,JGibbsLDA is applied to extract key words from subtitles because the biography video consists of different aspects to depict the characters' whole life.In terms of fusing keywords and key-frames,affinity propagation is adopted to calculate the similarity between each key-frame cluster and keywords.Through the method mentioned above,a video summarization is presented based on multimodal fusion which describes video content more completely.In order to reduce the time spent on searching the interest video content and get the relationship between main characters,a kind of map is adopted to visualize video content and interact with video summarization.An experiment is conducted to evaluate video summarization and the results demonstrate that this system can formally facilitate the exploration of video content while improving interaction and finding events of interest efficiently.展开更多

According to a large amount of data and principal knowledge, thinking of the need of actual project, a detailed system design and realization is finished. Background: The human gut microbiome is an important target for disease treatment and prevention. Various microbial species within the complex ecosystem of the microbiome have been shown to play important roles in dis...Background: The human gut microbiome is an important target for disease treatment and prevention. Various microbial species within the complex ecosystem of the microbiome have been shown to play important roles in disease. Identification of bioactive materials capable of altering the abundances of these species both safely and effectively is a major goal in microbiome research. Many traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) have been reported to affect the composition of the gut microbiome. Here, we summarize studies that have used TCMs to alter the gut microbiome and discuss the response relationship between TCMs and gut microbial species. Methods: We searched the PubMed, Web of Science, and Knowledge Network databases using the terms “traditional Chinese medicine,” “gut microbiome,” and specific system disease names (endocrine, immune, nervous, cardiovascular, and digestive). Studies were excluded if irrelevant or if the experimental procedures were unclear. Results: TCMs have been reported to affect a wide range of gut microbial taxa spanning major phyla, including Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Verrucomicrobiota, Actinobacteria, and Fusobacteria. In all, 54 TCMs including compounds and extracts have been tested in rodents and 30 have been examined in human trials. Almost all studies have reported positive results in regulating the gut microbiome as well as modulating corresponding phenotypes, spanning diseases of the endocrine, immune, nervous, cardiovascular, and digestive systems. Gut species, including Akkermansia, Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Faecalibacterium, and E. coli, were found to be regulated by 19 TCMs. A network was constructed to visualize the interactions between TCMs and these taxa. Conclusion: There exists a complex and close relationship between intestinal microflora and diseases. Sufficient experimental data and studies have proved that the imbalance of intestinal microflora affects health by mediating metabolism, immune regulation, inflammation and signal transduction. Many characteristic alterations of intestinal microflora are positively correlated with diseases, so intestinal microflora has become a potential risk index and treatment target for many diseases. Many TCMs affect the relative abundances of microbial species in the gut, and therefore may be useful for modulating the gut microbiome. This review provides a reference for prioritizing candidate TCMs from the enormous repertoire of such medicines to test which specific gut microbes are targeted.展开更多
The evolution of the Internet has enabled us to enjoy the music created in various countries.But still,it is often difficult to understand the lyrics written in foreign languages.Professional translators have publishe...The evolution of the Internet has enabled us to enjoy the music created in various countries.But still,it is often difficult to understand the lyrics written in foreign languages.Professional translators have published many international songs with lyrics that fit the melody so that the ordinary people can enjoy the lyrics of such international songs.This paper discusses lyrics transcreation into the Japanese language.Also,the paper presents an interactive visual lyrics transcreation system and describes the details of its implementation.This system allows users to select temporary lyrics from a set of tentative translations and then freely modify the lyrics with a real-time visualization mechanism.We also propose a lyrics translation algorithm that solves an essential problem of lyrics translation into Japanese.In this study,we interviewed two experts regarding problems with lyrics translation and received reviews of our presented system.We also conducted preliminary experiments with 19 participants to determine the best combination of user interface components for our system.We performed additional user experiments inviting 12 participants to compare lyrics transcreation using the presented system to manual lyrics transcreation.Lyrics transcreation by the presented system brought better results against those of manual transcreation.展开更多

In the construction of Metaverses,sensors that are referred to as the“bridge of information transmission”,play a key role.The functionality and efficiency of today’s sensors,which operate in a manner similar to phy...In the construction of Metaverses,sensors that are referred to as the“bridge of information transmission”,play a key role.The functionality and efficiency of today’s sensors,which operate in a manner similar to physical sensing,are frequently constrained by their hardware and software.In this research,we proposed the Parallel Sensing framework,which includes background,concept,basic methods and typical application of parallel sensing.In our formulation,sensors are redefined as the integration of real physical sensors and virtual software-defined sensors based on parallel intelligence,in order to boost the performance of the sensors.Each sensor will have a parallel counterpart in the virtual world within the framework of parallel sensing.Digital sensors serve as the brain of sensors and maintain the same properties as physical sensors.Parallel sensing allows physical sensors to operate in discrete time periods to conserve energy,while cloud-based descriptive,predictive,and prescriptive sensors operate continuously to offer compensation data and serve as guardians.To better illustrate parallel sensing concept,we show some example applications of parallel sensing such as parallel vision,parallel point cloud and parallel light fields,both of which are designed by construct virtual sensors to extend small real data to virtual big data and then boost the performance of perception models.Experimental results demonstrate the effective of parallel sensing framework.The interaction between the real and virtual worlds enables sensors to operate actively,allowing them to intelligently adapt to various scenarios and ultimately attain the goal of“Cognitive,Parallel,Crypto,Federated,Social and Ecologic”6S sensing.展开更多

Aiming to the severe wind power curtailment issue, the characteristics of interactive load are studied upon the traditional day-ahead dispatch model to mitigate the influence of wind power fluctuation. A multi-objective optimal dispatch model with the minimum operating cost and power losses is built. Optimal power flow distribution is available when both generation and demand side participate in the resource allocation. The quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm is applied to convert multi-objective optimization problem into single objective optimization problem. The simulation results of IEEE 30-bus system verify that the proposed method can effectively reduce the operating cost and grid loss simultaneously enhancing the consumption of wind power.展开更多
Background In the demanding field of live news broadcasting,the intricate studio production procedures and tight schedules pose significant challenges for physical rehearsals by cameramen.This paper explores the desig...Background In the demanding field of live news broadcasting,the intricate studio production procedures and tight schedules pose significant challenges for physical rehearsals by cameramen.This paper explores the design and implementation of a lightweight virtual news previsualization system,leveraging virtual production technology and interaction design methods to address the lack of fidelity in presentations and manipulations,and the quantitative feedback of rehearsal effects in previous virtual approaches.Methods Our system,Previs-Real,is informed by user investigation with professional cameramen and studio technicians,and adheres to principles of high fidelity,accurate replication of actual hardware operations,and real-time feedback on rehearsal results.The system's software and hardware development are implemented based on Unreal Engine and accompanying toolsets,incorporating cutting-edge modeling and camera calibration methods.Results We validated Previs-Real through a user study,demonstrating superior performance in previsualization shooting tasks using the virtual system compared to traditional camera setups.The findings,supported by both objective performance metrics and subjective responses,underline Previs-Real's effectiveness and potential in transforming news broadcasting rehearsals.Conclusions Previs-Real eliminates the requirement for complex equipment interconnections and team coordination inherent in a physical studio by implementing methodologies complying the above principles,objectively resulting in a lightweight design of applicable version of virtual news previsualization system.It offers a novel solution to the challenges in news studio previsualization by focusing on key operational features rather than full environment replication.This design approach is equally effective in the process of designing lightweight systems in other fields.展开更多

They aim to transmit information t...Multimedia Interactive Informative Systems (MIIS) are software applications resulting from the convergence of multiples technologies such as audiovisual, computing and communication. They aim to transmit information to a large, diverse and dispersed public. As with other mass media, the fulfillment of MIIS goals depends largely on the quality of communication between the system and end users. Therefore, those systems should be developed in order to ensure that this quality requirement is satisfied. If MIIS are constructed according to usual software engineering practices, the analysis discipline of the development process includes requirements identification and specification;however, these techniques are focused on functional requirements, and they do not give much importance to non-functional requirements. In this paper, we propose a development process based on the production of videogames which has two different phases: preproduction and production. The first phase, corresponding to requirements identification, derives into the concept of system. In order to translate this concept into a specification, we propose the use of new communicational attributes and a MIIS metamodel. The establishment of MIIS non-functional specification is the result of analyzing class diagrams through quality attributes. In order to evaluate if the specifications are responding to communicational attributes, a functional prototype is built and evaluated with end users. The proposed methodology is applied to a real case study.展开更多

In this paper, we develop a digital interactive kanban advertisement system using face recognition methodology to solve these problems. The system captures the person’s face through the camera. The digital advertisement content size is relevant by the person and camera observation locations. In this paper, we adopt the Adaboost algorithm to judge people face, and the system only need to grab the position of the face. The system doesn’t built expensive and complex equipment to reduce the system cost and enhance the system performance. Such systems are called Recommender Systems. They are divided into three main groups, including content-based, collaborative and hybrid recommenders. In this paper, we focus on collaborative filtering and the improvement of the accuracy of its techniques. Then, we suggest an Ensemble Learning Recommender System model made of a probabilistic model and an efficient matrix factorization method. The interactions between users and the platform are scored by explicit and implicit scores. At each user session, implicit scores are used to train a probabilistic model to compute the maximum likelihood estimator for the probability that an item will be recommended in the next session. The explicit scores are used to know the impact of the user’s vote on an item at the time of the recommendation.展开更多

文摘Background: The human gut microbiome is an important target for disease treatment and prevention. Various microbial species within the complex ecosystem of the microbiome have been shown to play important roles in disease. Identification of bioactive materials capable of altering the abundances of these species both safely and effectively is a major goal in microbiome research. Many traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) have been reported to affect the composition of the gut microbiome. Here, we summarize studies that have used TCMs to alter the gut microbiome and discuss the response relationship between TCMs and gut microbial species. Methods: We searched the PubMed, Web of Science, and Knowledge Network databases using the terms “traditional Chinese medicine,” “gut microbiome,” and specific system disease names (endocrine, immune, nervous, cardiovascular, and digestive). Studies were excluded if irrelevant or if the experimental procedures were unclear. Results: TCMs have been reported to affect a wide range of gut microbial taxa spanning major phyla, including Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Verrucomicrobiota, Actinobacteria, and Fusobacteria. In all, 54 TCMs including compounds and extracts have been tested in rodents and 30 have been examined in human trials. Almost all studies have reported positive results in regulating the gut microbiome as well as modulating corresponding phenotypes, spanning diseases of the endocrine, immune, nervous, cardiovascular, and digestive systems. Gut species, including Akkermansia, Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Faecalibacterium, and E. coli, were found to be regulated by 19 TCMs. A network was constructed to visualize the interactions between TCMs and these taxa. Conclusion: There exists a complex and close relationship between intestinal microflora and diseases. Sufficient experimental data and studies have proved that the imbalance of intestinal microflora affects health by mediating metabolism, immune regulation, inflammation and signal transduction. Many characteristic alterations of intestinal microflora are positively correlated with diseases, so intestinal microflora has become a potential risk index and treatment target for many diseases. Many TCMs affect the relative abundances of microbial species in the gut, and therefore may be useful for modulating the gut microbiome. This review provides a reference for prioritizing candidate TCMs from the enormous repertoire of such medicines to test which specific gut microbes are targeted.
文摘The evolution of the Internet has enabled us to enjoy the music created in various countries.But still,it is often difficult to understand the lyrics written in foreign languages.Professional translators have published many international songs with lyrics that fit the melody so that the ordinary people can enjoy the lyrics of such international songs.This paper discusses lyrics transcreation into the Japanese language.Also,the paper presents an interactive visual lyrics transcreation system and describes the details of its implementation.This system allows users to select temporary lyrics from a set of tentative translations and then freely modify the lyrics with a real-time visualization mechanism.We also propose a lyrics translation algorithm that solves an essential problem of lyrics translation into Japanese.In this study,we interviewed two experts regarding problems with lyrics translation and received reviews of our presented system.We also conducted preliminary experiments with 19 participants to determine the best combination of user interface components for our system.We performed additional user experiments inviting 12 participants to compare lyrics transcreation using the presented system to manual lyrics transcreation.Lyrics transcreation by the presented system brought better results against those of manual transcreation.

文摘This paper shows an environment which supports the development of multi-thread dialogue interactive systems.The environment includes several tools and run-time support programs for the design and implementation of the user interface of an interactive system.First,methods of user interface specifica- tion with Elementary Nets are discussed.Then,the syntax of a user interface specification language based on Elementary Nets and the pre-compiler for the language as well as a graphic editor for Elemen- tary Nets construction are described.Finally,an example is given to illustrate the design process of a user interface.

文摘In the construction of Metaverses,sensors that are referred to as the“bridge of information transmission”,play a key role.The functionality and efficiency of today’s sensors,which operate in a manner similar to physical sensing,are frequently constrained by their hardware and software.In this research,we proposed the Parallel Sensing framework,which includes background,concept,basic methods and typical application of parallel sensing.In our formulation,sensors are redefined as the integration of real physical sensors and virtual software-defined sensors based on parallel intelligence,in order to boost the performance of the sensors.Each sensor will have a parallel counterpart in the virtual world within the framework of parallel sensing.Digital sensors serve as the brain of sensors and maintain the same properties as physical sensors.Parallel sensing allows physical sensors to operate in discrete time periods to conserve energy,while cloud-based descriptive,predictive,and prescriptive sensors operate continuously to offer compensation data and serve as guardians.To better illustrate parallel sensing concept,we show some example applications of parallel sensing such as parallel vision,parallel point cloud and parallel light fields,both of which are designed by construct virtual sensors to extend small real data to virtual big data and then boost the performance of perception models.Experimental results demonstrate the effective of parallel sensing framework.The interaction between the real and virtual worlds enables sensors to operate actively,allowing them to intelligently adapt to various scenarios and ultimately attain the goal of“Cognitive,Parallel,Crypto,Federated,Social and Ecologic”6S sensing.
文摘Integration of soil information system (SIS) and interactive self-organizing data (ISODATA) was studied to establish proper agricultural developing zones in red soil region of southern China which are of crucial importance to farmers, researchers, and decision makers while utilizing and managing red soil resources. SIS created by using ARC/INPO was used to provide data acquisition, systematic model parameter assignment, and visual display of analytic results. Topography, temperature, soil component (e.g., organic matter and pH) and condition of agricultural production were selected as parameters of ISODATA model. Taking Longyou County, Zhejiang Province as the case study area, the effect of the integration and recommendations are discussed for future research.
文摘Peer review is the cornerstone in scientific publication.Although peer review has paramount importance in ensuring the quality of the published literature,it still has a number of shortcomings.The present manuscript proposes a new method to improve the current peer review system by providing an interactive,dynamic platform that allows direct,anonymous interaction between the authors of submitted manuscripts and the reviewers.Such real-time interaction may help eliminate any problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the reviewer’s comments or the authors’response,and would save time while keeping the identity of both parties anonymous.
文摘The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended setups.LMS platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the content.The students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal methods.Formal assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive mode.The aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and students.It is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in LMS.The interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges information.The findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational content.The result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.
文摘With the rapid and large-scale development of renewable energy, the lack of new energy power transportation or consumption, and the shortage of grid peak-shifting ability have become increasingly serious. Aiming to the severe wind power curtailment issue, the characteristics of interactive load are studied upon the traditional day-ahead dispatch model to mitigate the influence of wind power fluctuation. A multi-objective optimal dispatch model with the minimum operating cost and power losses is built. Optimal power flow distribution is available when both generation and demand side participate in the resource allocation. The quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm is applied to convert multi-objective optimization problem into single objective optimization problem. The simulation results of IEEE 30-bus system verify that the proposed method can effectively reduce the operating cost and grid loss simultaneously enhancing the consumption of wind power.

文摘Background In the demanding field of live news broadcasting,the intricate studio production procedures and tight schedules pose significant challenges for physical rehearsals by cameramen.This paper explores the design and implementation of a lightweight virtual news previsualization system,leveraging virtual production technology and interaction design methods to address the lack of fidelity in presentations and manipulations,and the quantitative feedback of rehearsal effects in previous virtual approaches.Methods Our system,Previs-Real,is informed by user investigation with professional cameramen and studio technicians,and adheres to principles of high fidelity,accurate replication of actual hardware operations,and real-time feedback on rehearsal results.The system's software and hardware development are implemented based on Unreal Engine and accompanying toolsets,incorporating cutting-edge modeling and camera calibration methods.Results We validated Previs-Real through a user study,demonstrating superior performance in previsualization shooting tasks using the virtual system compared to traditional camera setups.The findings,supported by both objective performance metrics and subjective responses,underline Previs-Real's effectiveness and potential in transforming news broadcasting rehearsals.Conclusions Previs-Real eliminates the requirement for complex equipment interconnections and team coordination inherent in a physical studio by implementing methodologies complying the above principles,objectively resulting in a lightweight design of applicable version of virtual news previsualization system.It offers a novel solution to the challenges in news studio previsualization by focusing on key operational features rather than full environment replication.This design approach is equally effective in the process of designing lightweight systems in other fields.
文摘Multimedia Interactive Informative Systems (MIIS) are software applications resulting from the convergence of multiples technologies such as audiovisual, computing and communication. They aim to transmit information to a large, diverse and dispersed public. As with other mass media, the fulfillment of MIIS goals depends largely on the quality of communication between the system and end users. Therefore, those systems should be developed in order to ensure that this quality requirement is satisfied. If MIIS are constructed according to usual software engineering practices, the analysis discipline of the development process includes requirements identification and specification;however, these techniques are focused on functional requirements, and they do not give much importance to non-functional requirements. In this paper, we propose a development process based on the production of videogames which has two different phases: preproduction and production. The first phase, corresponding to requirements identification, derives into the concept of system. In order to translate this concept into a specification, we propose the use of new communicational attributes and a MIIS metamodel. The establishment of MIIS non-functional specification is the result of analyzing class diagrams through quality attributes. In order to evaluate if the specifications are responding to communicational attributes, a functional prototype is built and evaluated with end users. The proposed methodology is applied to a real case study.
文摘Taylor vortex flow between two concentric rotating cylinders with finite axial length includes various patterns of laminar and turbulent flows, and its behavior has attracted great interests. When mode bifurcation occurs, quantitative parameters such as the volume-averaged energy change rapidly. It is important to visualize the behaviors of vortices. In this study, a three-dimensional visualization system with respect to time is devised. This system can change the viewpoint of flow visualization, and we can observe the track of a vortex from any point. The volume-averaged energy is projected to the track of the center of a vortex. The proposed system can help to investigate the relationship between the mode bifurcation process and the volume-averaged energy.
文摘Most of advertisement systems are presently still launch the publicity content by the static words and pictures. Recently, this static advertisement model will not be able to attract people’s attention more and more. Moreover, the static information content of advertisement system is limited because of the layout shown size. It can not also fully demonstrate the information content of advertisement system. In this paper, we develop a digital interactive kanban advertisement system using face recognition methodology to solve these problems. The system captures the person’s face through the camera. The digital advertisement content size is relevant by the person and camera observation locations. In this paper, we adopt the Adaboost algorithm to judge people face, and the system only need to grab the position of the face. The system doesn’t built expensive and complex equipment to reduce the system cost and enhance the system performance. This system can also achieve the same similar digital interactive advertising effectiveness.
文摘In interactive platforms, we often want to predict which items could be more relevant for users, either based on their previous interactions with the system or their preferences. Such systems are called Recommender Systems. They are divided into three main groups, including content-based, collaborative and hybrid recommenders. In this paper, we focus on collaborative filtering and the improvement of the accuracy of its techniques. Then, we suggest an Ensemble Learning Recommender System model made of a probabilistic model and an efficient matrix factorization method. The interactions between users and the platform are scored by explicit and implicit scores. At each user session, implicit scores are used to train a probabilistic model to compute the maximum likelihood estimator for the probability that an item will be recommended in the next session. The explicit scores are used to know the impact of the user’s vote on an item at the time of the recommendation.
文摘The issue of the extremely imbalanced gender ratio in preschool teachers has received widespread attention,and there are few studies on teacher-child verbal interaction behavior based on gender differences in preschool teachers.This article takes the“Little Light Bulb Is On”,a scientific exploration activity done by 5-6 years old kindergarten students as an example,and uses the improved Flanders Interaction Analysis System(iFIAS)as a tool to analyze the speech interaction behavior of male and female preschool teachers.The research results indicate that there are gender differences in teacher child language interaction between male and female teachers in terms of the atmosphere,the teaching structure,the teaching tendency,the way of raising questions,and the overall trend of interaction.
