This work proposes a numerical investigation on the effects of damage on the structural response of Reinforced Concrete(RC)bridge structures commonly adopted in highway and railway networks.An effective three-dimensional FE-based numerical model is developed to analyze the bridge’s structural response under several damage scenarios,including the effects of moving vehicle loads.In particular,the longitudinal and transversal beams are modeled through solid finite elements,while horizontal slabs are made of shell elements.Damage phenomena are also incorporated in the numerical model according to a smeared approach consistent with Continuum Damage Mechanics(CDM).In such a context,the proposed method utilizes an advanced and efficient computational strategy for reproducing Vehicle-Bridge Interaction(VBI)effects based on a moving mesh technique consistent with the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE)formulation.The proposed model adopts a moving mesh interface for tracing the positions of the contact points between the vehicle’s wheels and the bridge slabs.Such modeling strategy avoids using extremely refined discretization for structural members,thus drastically reducing computational efforts.Vibrational analyses in terms of damage scenarios are presented to verify how the presence of damage affects the natural frequencies of the structural system.In addition,a comprehensive investigation regarding the response of the bridge under moving vehicles is developed,also providing results in terms of Dynamic Amplification Factor(DAFs)for typical design bridge variables. 展开更多

The investigation centers on sheet pile design, examining two primary methodologies: Limit Equilibrium Methods (LEM) and Soil-Structure Interaction Methods (SSIM). While LEM methods, grounded in classical principles, provide valuable insights for preliminary design considerations, they may encounter limitations in addressing real-world complexities. In contrast, SSIM methods, including the SSI-SR approach, introduce precision and depth to the field. By employing numerical techniques such as Finite Element (FE) and Finite Difference (FD) analyses, these methods enable engineers to navigate the dynamics of soil-structure interaction. The exploration extends to SSI-FE, highlighting its essential role in civil engineering. By integrating Finite Element analysis with considerations for soil-structure interaction, the SSI-FE method offers a holistic understanding of how structures dynamically interact with their geotechnical environment. 高速多体分离力学问题是航空航天领域中的核心基础问题,它涉及在超声速/高超声速条件下多个物体分离的多物理强相互作用过程,如高速多体飞行器级间分离、抛撒分离,空间碎片/陨石(群)进入大气层等.高速多体分离研究区别于单体绕流问题,... 高速多体分离力学问题是航空航天领域中的核心基础问题,它涉及在超声速/高超声速条件下多个物体分离的多物理强相互作用过程,如高速多体飞行器级间分离、抛撒分离,空间碎片/陨石(群)进入大气层等.高速多体分离研究区别于单体绕流问题,高速流动产生的激波、压缩/膨胀波、分离涡等流体力学现象与分离体产生动态耦合,这种复杂非定常动力学过程是多体分离研究的核心挑战之一.理论预测与数值模拟面对高动态、强耦合的高速非定常多体分离过程存在一定的局限性,因此准确、可靠的地面实验模拟尤为重要.本文系统回顾了高速多体分离相关的实验技术与应用研究,主要包括静态实验、准定常实验、动态分离实验技术与测量方法等;梳理总结了高速多体分离中复杂流动物理现象与机制;此外,深入剖析了当前高速多体分离实验技术的局限性和挑战性,并对多体分离实验技术的未来发展方向进行了展望.高速多体分离风洞实验的核心挑战在于多体之间的非线性气动干扰、非定常流动与高动态运动的强耦合问题,风洞实验模拟亟需解决的关键技术包括毫秒级的动态实验测量、多体姿轨精确模拟与气动载荷高精度预测等.本文期望对多体分离风洞实验基础研究提供一些有意义的启示,推动我国空天高速多体飞行器装备发展. 展开更多

目的 利用二维斑点追踪超声心动图(2D-STE)联合无创心肌做功(MW)探究中重度肺心病患者在右心功能失代偿状态下左心室收缩功能的改变,并探索该方法在临床中的应用价值。方法 本研究纳入2023年4月~2025年4月在内蒙古自治区人民医院就诊的3... 目的 利用二维斑点追踪超声心动图(2D-STE)联合无创心肌做功(MW)探究中重度肺心病患者在右心功能失代偿状态下左心室收缩功能的改变,并探索该方法在临床中的应用价值。方法 本研究纳入2023年4月~2025年4月在内蒙古自治区人民医院就诊的30例中重度肺心病患者(病例组)及30例年龄、性别匹配的健康志愿者(对照组),所有受试者均接受标准超声心动图检查,并应用2D-STE联合MW进行分析,通过对比分析两组间各参数的差异,探讨中重度肺心病患者左心室心肌做功的变化规律。研究主要评估以下参数:左心室整体纵向应变(GLS)、左心室整体做功指数(LVGWI)、左心室整体有用功(LVGCW)、左心室整体无用功(LVGWW),左心室整体做功效率(LVGWE)。结果 常规超声参数比较:病例组较对照组左房增大、室间隔增厚、肺动脉内径增宽及肺动脉压力增高(P<0.05),左室射血分数轻度降低(P<0.05);心肌做功参数比较:病例组表现为GWW增加(P<0.01),GLS、GWI、GWE及GCW降低(P<0.01)。相关性分析显示,左心室GWI、GCW与PVD呈负相关(r=-0.314、-0.256,P<0.05),GWE、GWI、GCW与LVEF呈正相关(r=0.417、0.452、0.445,P<0.05),GWE、GWI、GCW与GLS呈负相关(r=-0.813、-0.835、-0.685,P<0.05),GWW与GLS呈正相关(r=0.439,P<0.05)。结论 MW技术可以精准地提供中重度肺心病患者的左心室心肌做功参数,证实患者在亚临床期左心室收缩功能已出现改变,为临床提前干预疾病提供了创新且可靠的数据支持。 展开更多

In this study, simplified numerical models are developed to analyze the soil-structure interaction (SSI) effect on frame structures equipped with viscoelastic dampers (VEDs) based on pile group foundation. First, a single degree-of- freedom (SDOF) oscillator is successfully utilized to replace the SDOF energy dissipated structure considering the SSI effect. The equivalent period and damping ratio of the system are obtained through analogical analysis using the frequency transfer function with adoption of the modal strain energy (MSE) technique. Aparametric analysis is carried out to study the SSI effect on the performance of VEDs. Then the equilibrium equations of the multi degree-of-freedom (MDOF) structure with VEDs considering SSI effect are established in the frequency domain. Based on the assumption that the superstructure of the coupled system possesses the classical normal mode, the MDOF superstructure is decoupled to a set of individual SDOF systems resting on a rigid foundation with adoption of the MSE technique through formula derivation. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed methods have the advantage of reducing computational cost, however, retaining the satisfactory accuracy. The numerical method proposed herein can provide a fast evaluation of the efficiency of VEDs considering the SSI effect. 展开更多

Based on the transfer matrix method and the virtual source simulation technique, this paper proposes a novel semi-analytical and semi-numerical method for solving 2-D sound- structure interaction problems under a harmonic excitation.Within any integration segment, as long as its length is small enough,along the circumferential curvilinear coordinate,the non- homogeneous matrix differential equation of an elastic ring of complex geometrical shape can be rewritten in terms of the homogeneous one by the method of extended homogeneous capacity proposed in this paper.For the exterior fluid domain,the multi-circular virtual source simulation technique is adopted.The source density distributed on each virtual circular curve may be ex- panded as the Fourier's series.Combining with the inverse fast Fourier transformation,a higher accuracy and efficiency method for solving 2-D exterior Helmholtz's problems is presented in this paper.In the aspect of solution to the coupling equations,the state vectors of elastic ring induced by the given harmonic excitation and generalized forces of coefficients of the Fourier series can be obtained respectively by using a high precision integration scheme combined with the method of extended homogeneous capacity put forward in this paper.According to the superposition princi- ple and compatibility conditions at the interface between the elastic ring and fluid,the algebraic equation of system can be directly constructed by using the least square approximation.Examples of acoustic radiation from two typical fluid-loaded elastic rings under a harmonic concentrated force are presented.Numerical results show that the method proposed is more efficient than the mixed FE-BE method in common use. 展开更多

The membrane method based on adaptive wettability shows great advantages in oil-water separation.At present,researches focus on the excellent application performance of the membrane material,while the quantitative analysis of interactions in oil-water separation is rarely recognized.Herein,we constructed an adaptable wettability membrane with multiple polymer networks by polydopamine(PDA)and mussel-inspired amphiphilic polymer.Based on the Owens three-probe liquid method,the surface energy of the modified membrane was verified to meet the adaptive wettability conditions,with surface energies(γ-8)of 147.6 mJ m^(−2)(superhydrophilic/underwater superoleophobic)and 49.87 mJ m^(−2)(superhydrophobic/superoleophobic),respectively.The adhesion or repulsion of the membrane to the oil phase under different conditions during the separation process was quantified by the chemical probe AFM technique.In addition,the oil-water selective separation mechanism was further analyzed in a simplified membrane microchannel model.The results show that the different wetting produces capillary additional pressure in opposite directions,resulting in different energies to be overcome when the oil or water passes through the microchannels,thus achieving selective separation. 展开更多

The effects of lysine on this curve have been also investigated. The results showed that (1) Cadmium in Cd(OH) + form in the suspended particles exchanges with the cations. The exchange ratio of Cd 2+ is nearly at its greatest value in the range of pH (8.0—8.5) in natural aquatic system; (2) Ion exchange ratio decreases as the concentration of Cd 2+ raises from 8.9×10 -6 mol/L to 2×8.9×10 -6 mol/L; (3) At the lysine concentration of 6 8×10 -6 mol/L, it can promote the ion exchange ratio; (4) Adsorption of the suspended particles to cadmium is weaker in seawater and Jin Sha River than in the Yellow River. 展开更多

In order to simulate and analyze the dynamic characteristics of the parachute from advanced tactical parachute system(ATPS),a nonlinear finite element algorithm and a preconditioning finite volume method are employed and developed to construct three dimensional parachute fluid-structure interaction(FSI)model.Parachute fabric material is represented by membrane-cable elements,and geometrical nonlinear algorithm is employed with wrinkling technique embedded to simulate the large deformations of parachute structure by applying the NewtonRaphson iteration method.On the other hand,the time-dependent flow surrounding parachute canopy is simulated using preconditioned lower-upper symmetric Gauss-Seidel(LU-SGS)method.The pseudo solid dynamic mesh algorithm is employed to update the flow-field mesh based on the complex and arbitrary motion of parachute canopy.Due to the large amount of computation during the FSI simulation,massage passing interface(MPI)parallel computation technique is used for all those three modules to improve the performance of the FSI code.The FSI method is tested to simulate one kind of ATPS parachutes to predict the parachute configuration and anticipate the parachute descent speeds.The comparison of results between the proposed method and those in literatures demonstrates the method to be a useful tool for parachute designers. 展开更多

We present an analysis of the metallicity and star formation activities of H II regions in the interacting system Arp 86, based on the first scientific observations using mulri-object spectroscopy with the 2.16 m telescope at the Xinglong Observing Station. We find that the oxygen abundance gradient in Arp 86 is flatter than that in normal disk galaxies, which confirms that gas inflows caused by tidal forces during encounters can flatten the metallicity distributions in galaxies. The companion galaxy NGC 7752 is currently experiencing a galaxy-wide starburst with a higher star for- marion rate surface density than the main galaxy NGC 7753, which can be explained in that the companion galaxy is more susceptible to the effects of interaction than the primary. Explicit solution techniques have been widely used in geotechnical engineering for simulating the coupled hydro-mechanical(H-M) interaction of fluid flow and deformation induced by structures built above and under saturated ground, i.e. circular footing and deep tunnel. However, the technique is only conditionally stable and requires small time steps, portending its inefficiency for simulating large-scale H-M problems. To improve its efficiency, the unconditionally stable alternating direction explicit(ADE)scheme could be used to solve the flow problem. The standard ADE scheme, however, is only moderately accurate and is restricted to uniform grids and plane strain flow conditions. This paper aims to remove these drawbacks by developing a novel high-order ADE scheme capable of solving flow problems in nonuniform grids and under axisymmetric conditions. The new scheme is derived by performing a fourthorder finite difference(FD) approximation to the spatial derivatives of the axisymmetric fluid-diffusion equation in a non-uniform grid configuration. The implicit Crank-Nicolson technique is then applied to the resulting approximation, and the subsequent equation is split into two alternating direction sweeps,giving rise to a new axisymmetric ADE scheme. The pore pressure solutions from the new scheme are then sequentially coupled with an existing geomechanical simulator in the computer code fast Lagrangian analysis of continua(FLAC). This coupling procedure is called the sequentially-explicit coupling technique based on the fourth-order axisymmetric ADE scheme or SEA-4-AXI. Application of SEA-4-AXI for solving axisymmetric consolidation of a circular footing and of advancing tunnel in deep saturated ground shows that SEA-4-AXI reduces computer runtime up to 42%-50% that of FLAC’s basic scheme without numerical instability. In addition, it produces high numerical accuracy of the H-M solutions with average percentage difference of only 0.5%-1.8%. 展开更多

狗牙根(Cynodon dactylon)是生态绿化、固土护坡、植被重建和水土保持的常用草本植物,其发达的根系网络和独特的生长特性对于土壤孔隙的形成和空间重组具有重要影响。然而,目前相关研究多聚焦于其根系对土壤团聚体形成和稳定的作用,根... 狗牙根(Cynodon dactylon)是生态绿化、固土护坡、植被重建和水土保持的常用草本植物,其发达的根系网络和独特的生长特性对于土壤孔隙的形成和空间重组具有重要影响。然而,目前相关研究多聚焦于其根系对土壤团聚体形成和稳定的作用,根系生长过程对土壤孔隙的动态影响尚不清楚。本研究采用盆栽试验,选取狗牙根为模式植物,西南山地丘陵区典型紫色土和黄壤为培养基质,设置紫色土单种(G)、紫色土空白(CK)、黄壤单种(YG)和黄壤空白(YCK)4种不同处理。利用微根窗技术连续采集不同处理下的土壤剖面图像,通过优化的根系提取算法和图像处理技术量化不同时期的狗牙根根系性状和土壤孔隙结构参数,结合统计分析,探究狗牙根根系生长动态及其对土壤孔隙结构演变的影响。结果表明:(1)狗牙根在紫色土和黄壤中均呈生长状态,其根系生长速率在不同土壤类型间表现为:紫色土>黄壤,紫色土狗牙根的根长、根表面积和根体积分别是黄壤培养条件下的近3倍;(2)与未种植植物的CK和YCK相比,狗牙根的生长显著降低了紫色土和黄壤的孔隙数目、孔隙度和孔隙分形维数,并且根系对土壤孔隙的降低作用随根系生长不断增强;(3)冗余分析表明,根系累计解释了40.60%的土壤孔隙结构变异,根长、根表面积和根体积是降低土壤孔隙结构参数的关键根系性状。综上所述,通过优化的微根窗技术实现了植物根系和土壤孔隙的定点连续观测,发现狗牙根在生长期间显著降低了孔隙数目等参数,这为根–孔交互作用的原位、无损、动态研究提供了方法学支撑,也为生态脆弱区植被恢复和水土保持提供了理论依据。 展开更多
