Walkie-talkies play a key role in publicsafety and military communications.To counter thesecurity threats posed by counterfeiting and illegal use,this paper proposes a radio frequency(RF)fingerprintingmethod for walki...Walkie-talkies play a key role in publicsafety and military communications.To counter thesecurity threats posed by counterfeiting and illegal use,this paper proposes a radio frequency(RF)fingerprintingmethod for walkie-talkies based on interpretable fea-tures and multi-layer perceptron(MLP).By extractinginterpretable features in time,frequency,and statis-tical domains affected by different RF impairmentsand performing correlation analysis and dimensionalityreduction,it ensures that the acceptable low complexityrequirements of walkie-talkie equipment are maintainedwhile the recognition capability is preserved.The mea-sured results show that the recognition accuracy of themethod can reach 96.5%,which has the advantages ofbeing efficient,stable and interpretable.This researchprovides a low complexity and reliable physical layersecurity solution for identifying legitimate and illegitimatewalkie-talkies,which can be further used to guide theengineering implementation and application of RF finger-print identification modules.展开更多
