Ur-baniza...Urbanization strategic environmental assessment (SEA) is an effective instrument to enhance the harmo-nious development of urban complex system, integrating of environment and development in decision-making. Ur-banization strategic environmental assessment integration technology system (SEA-ITS) is composed of "3S" (RS, GIS and GPS), environmental expert system and environmental model system, coupling with appropriate SEA working process closely. In this paper, the structure and components of SEA-ITS are analyzed based on Chinese characteristics, meanwhile methods to fulfill the following system functions are discussed: urbanization SEA in-quiring, analysis, discrimination, assessment, prediction, decision-making and output. Moreover, methods and tech-nologies employed in different urbanization SEA hierarchies are summarized. As a case study, urbanization SEA-ITS is applied in Changchun City to solving complex real problems. Methods such as system dynamics and grey cluster are adopted to achieve the environmental impact assessment on the eco-industrial system planning. It is revealed that the system designed is capable of reflecting the dynamic behavior of eco-industrial system under different sce-narios, meanwhile accomplishing strategy optimization and supplying scientific reference. The 4th strategy, namely concerning on economy increase and its interaction with science, technology and environment progress, would have the best efficiency. Further, more attention should be paid to the secondary development of integration techniques and function modification system of urbanization SEA-ITS.展开更多

An 8×10 GHz receiver optical sub-assembly （ROSA） consisting of an 8-channel arrayed waveguide grating （AWG） and an 8-channel PIN photodetector （PD） array is designed and fabricated based on silica hybrid in...An 8×10 GHz receiver optical sub-assembly （ROSA） consisting of an 8-channel arrayed waveguide grating （AWG） and an 8-channel PIN photodetector （PD） array is designed and fabricated based on silica hybrid integration technology. Multimode output waveguides in the silica AWG with 2% refractive index difference are used to obtain fiat-top spectra. The output waveguide facet is polished to 45° bevel to change the light propagation direction into the mesa-type PIN PD, which simplifies the packaging process. The experimentM results show that the single channel I dB bandwidth of AWG ranges from 2.12nm to 3.06nm, the ROSA responsivity ranges from 0.097 A/W to 0.158A/W, and the 3dB bandwidth is up to 11 GHz. It is promising to be applied in the eight-lane WDM transmission system in data center interconnection.展开更多

Objective:This study aims to assess nursing faculty’s perceptions and challenges in teaching Generation Z students,providing insights into the barriers and opportunities in bridging the generational learning gap.Mate...Objective:This study aims to assess nursing faculty’s perceptions and challenges in teaching Generation Z students,providing insights into the barriers and opportunities in bridging the generational learning gap.Material and Methods:A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 335 nursing faculty members in the Delhi NCR region.Participants were recruited using a snowball sampling technique,and data were collected via a self-administered structured questionnaire.The questionnaire measured faculty perceptions and challenges using a Likert scale,with reliability assessed using Cronbach’s alpha.Data were analyzed through Descriptive and inferential statistics.Results:Findings revealed that while faculty recognize the need for technology integration and student-centered learning,they face challenges such as academic integrity concerns,psychological stress,and adapting to Gen Z’s expectations for personalized learning.The correlation between faculty perceptions and challenges was negligible(r=0.020,P=0.717),indicating that faculty perceptions remain stable despite these difficulties.Conclusion:Nursing faculty need to adapt pedagogical approaches to meet the evolving needs of Gen Z students.Bridging the gap between traditional teaching methods and the evolving needs of Generation Z requires faculty training,institutional support,and curriculum innovations.展开更多

Tacit knowledge is from a person＇s ＂theory-in-use＂ which lies behind a person＇s action or behavior. The knowledge of teaching demonstrated in the classroom can be referred to as tacit knowledge or theory-in-use which is often the theory behind the practice of experienced teachers. Freema Elbaz （1983） points out that the ＂experience＂ is referred to as ＂practical knowledge＂, which ＂provides the basis for a conceptualization which sees the teacher as possessing valuable resources＂ （6） and allows teachers to explicitly indicate and tacitly demonstrate their experience in teaching. The purpose of the study is to investigate how experienced college instructors apply their good teaching qualities to teaching social studies. The participants are three experienced college instructors teaching social studies. A concept map and a final reflection are used to elicit experienced instructors＇ personal epistemology in teaching social studies and their perception of technology use in the classroom. Each participant was asked to generate nine good teaching qualities and draw their concept map based on the nine qualities. Their concept maps reflected their theory-in-use and showed the relationship among their teaching qualities by displaying them together in a graphic form and how each teaching quality is connected to another. Participants＇ technology use was also explored to get their perception of the role of technology and their actual use of it in teaching. Then they were asked to validate their concept map data and reflect on their classroom teaching and use of technology. The findings show the three instructors taught under different schema and decided what their means and ends should be and how technology can help facilitate teaching and learning. However, most of them seemed to treat the content （e.g., democracy education） as their ends and thus used pedagogy （e.g., technology） as the means to reach the ends. 文摘The network integration provides users with a new network with long connection time and a high data rate when needed, but it also brings the defects of all the networks that integrate together into the integrated network. This will cause all kinds of existing and some new security problems in the operation of the integrated network. A complete protection based on recovery is proposed in the paper. It uses the public-key algorithm to authorize and private-key algorithm to encrypt the communicating data. This solution can provide the system with reliable security, and avoid Denial of Service (DoS) of the user. This solution has been proposed lately, and we should further identify the correct action of all the layers and figure out how to react when a legal node is framed by multiple malicious nodes.
文摘Metallurgical sector plays an important role in the economy of each country because steel products present essential raw material for basic industries. Changes in the sectors of iron, steel and non-ferrous metals and the current development of technology forces the steel mills increased productivity, reduce production costs while ensuring to obtain a product with the required properties and to improve the competitiveness of enterprises in the global market. Currently, the most popular in meeting these requirements, enjoys a method of integration which combines individual operations into one integrated whole. The use of modem, perfectly designed, fully automated design of mechanical, hydraulic and measurement allowed us to achieve an innovative line of production. This article presents the general characteristics of the steel industry and a description of the latest integrated technology currently used in foundries and rolling mills. It also presents examples of the use of integrated technologies in metallurgy and the effects of economic, environmental and quality resulting from their use on an industrial scale.
