The method of integrating factors is used to study the conservation laws of the Herglotz type Birkhoffian systems in this paper.Firstly,the definition of the integrating factors of the Herglotz type Birkhoffian systems is given.Secondly,the relationship between the integrating factors and conservation laws is studied,and the conservation theorems of Herglotz type Birkhoff's equations and their inverse theorems are established.Thirdly,two types of generalized Killing equations for calculating integrating factors are given.Finally,as an example,a linear damped oscillator is taken.This example can be transformed into a Herglotz type Birkhoffian system.The resulting conservation theorems are used to find the conserved quantities for this example. 展开更多

Background As information technology has advanced and been popularized,open pit mining has rapidly developed toward integration and digitization.The three-dimensional reconstruction technology has been successfully applied to geological reconstruction and modeling of surface scenes in open pit mines.However,an integrated modeling method for surface and underground mine sites has not been reported.Methods In this study,we propose an integrated modeling method for open pit mines that fuses a real scene on the surface with an underground geological model.Based on oblique photography,a real-scene model was established on the surface.Based on the surface-stitching method proposed,the upper and lower surfaces and sides of the model were constructed in stages to construct a complete underground three-dimensional geological model,and the aboveground and underground models were registered together to build an integrated open pit mine model.Results The oblique photography method used reconstructed a surface model of an open pit mine using a real scene.The surface-stitching algorithm proposed was compared with the ball-pivoting and Poisson algorithms,and the integrity of the reconstructed model was markedly superior to that of the other two reconstruction methods.In addition,the surface-stitching algorithm was applied to the reconstruction of different formation models and showed good stability and reconstruction efficiency.Finally,the aboveground and underground models were accurately fitted after registration to form an integrated model.Conclusions The proposed method can efficiently establish an integrated open pit model.Based on the integrated model,an open pit auxiliary planning system was designed and realized.It supports the functions of mining planning and output calculation,assists users in mining planning and operation management,and improves production efficiency and management levels. 展开更多

Spatiotemporal landslide susceptibility assessment integrating typhoon tracks:a case study of typhoon Lekima

The 2019 Typhoon Lekima triggered extensive landslides in Zhejiang Province.To explore the impact of typhoon paths on the distribution of landslide susceptibility,this study proposes a spatiotemporal zoning assessment framework based on typhoon paths and inner rainbands.According to the typhoon landing path and its rainfall impact range,the study area is divided into the typhoon event period(TEP)and the annual non-typhoon period(ANP).The model uses 14 environmental factors,with the only difference between TEP and ANP being the rainfall index:TEP uses 48-hour rainfall during the typhoon,while ANP uses multi-year average annual rainfall.Modeling and comparative analysis were conducted using six machine learning models including random forest(RF)and support vector machine(SVM).The results show that the distribution pattern of high-risk landslide areas during TEP is significantly correlated with typhoon intensity:when the intensity is level 12,high-risk areas are radially distributed;at levels 10-11,they tend to concentrate asymmetrically along the coast;and when the intensity drops to below level 9,the overall susceptibility decreases significantly.During ANP,the distribution of landslides is relatively uniform with no obvious spatial concentration.Analysis on the factor contribution rate indicates that the rainfall weight in TEP is as high as 32.1%,making it the dominant factor;in ANP,the rainfall weight drops to 13.6%while the influence of factors such as slope and topographic wetness index increases,revealing differences in landslide formation mechanisms between the two periods.This study demonstrates that the spatiotemporal zoning method based on typhoon paths can effectively characterize the spatial susceptibility patterns of landslides and improve disaster identification capabilities under extreme weather conditions.The finally generated annual susceptibility zoning map divides the study area into four types of risk regions,providing a reference for dynamic monitoring and differentiated risk management of landslides in typhoon-prone areas. 展开更多

Using Xiamen as an example,this study investigates the practical route of incorporating Minnan culture into high school English reading instruction.It does this by combining the materials of Compulsory 2 UNIT4 History and Traditions,Compulsory 2 UNIT1 Cultural Heritage,and Compulsory 3 UNIT3 Diverse Cultures,and by creating a series of English reading lessons with a Minnan cultural theme.To enhance students’English reading skills and cultural literacy,southern Fujian cultural elements like Nanyin,lacquer thread carving,and Pok Pok were incorporated into the classroom through the use of games,pre-reading activities,reading activities,and post-reading activities.The results of the study show that the integration of southern Fujian culture into English reading teaching is feasible and effective,can stimulate students’learning interest,enhance the sense of cultural identity,and provide practical references for cultural integration in English teaching. 展开更多

Chinese medicine,with its rich historical roots and holistic approach,has been a fundamental aspect of healthcare in East Asia and is now gaining global recognition.Founded on centuries of empirical knowledge and philosophical insight,Chinese medicine draws heavily from classical texts to guide its practices in herbal medicine and acupuncture.Despite its cultural and historical significance,integrating Chinese medicine into global healthcare systems presents challenges,notably the need for evidence-based practices to enhance credibility,ensure patient safety,and foster broader acceptance within the medical community.This paper explores how Chinese medicine can adopt evidence-based practices by incorporating principles of Western medicine into its research methodologies.It reviews the origins and philosophical foundations of Chinese medicine,examining its reliance on classical texts and empirical methods.The paper also highlights the differences between the personalised approach of Chinese medicine,which tailors treatments to individual needs,and the standardised protocols typical of Western medicine.Additionally,it addresses methodological challenges in Chinese medicine research,such as inconsistent diagnostic criteria and insufficient design rigour.To bridge these gaps,innovative research methodologies that respect the unique variability of Chinese medicine are needed.By adopting evidence-based practices and rigorous scientific validation,Chinese medicine can enhance its legitimacy and facilitate its integration into the global healthcare landscape. 展开更多

In response to China’s national strategy of“Curriculum Ideology and Politics”(CIP),which integrates moral and political education into all disciplines,this study addresses the challenge of effectively implementing CIP in college English courses.Moving beyond generic approaches,this practice-oriented research project developed and piloted a localized CIP model for the widely used New Horizon College English(Fourth Edition)textbook.The core innovation lies in constructing a three-dimensional“textbook-culture-ideology”element map that systematically links specific unit themes with the unique cultural resources of Tangshan City,such as its industrial heritage,the“Spirit of Earthquake Resilience,”and intangible cultural heritage like Shadow Puppetry.Employing a methodology of content analysis,case study,and action research,the project identified synergies between textbook content and local culture,designed corresponding teaching activities,and implemented them in freshman English classes.Findings indicate that this localized approach enhanced student engagement,fostered cultural confidence,and facilitated the natural integration of ideological-political elements into language learning.The study concludes that the“textbook-culture-ideology”mapping model offers a practical,replicable framework for enriching college English teaching with meaningful local context,thereby achieving CIP goals more authentically.It provides valuable insights for pedagogical innovation in similar contexts. 展开更多

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of a competency-oriented TCM workshop teaching model for integrated medical and elderly care in geriatric nursing positions.Methods:A stratified sampling method was employed to select 100 nurses from three integrated medical-care institutions in Guangyuan City.Using digital randomization,they were divided into a control group(conventional teaching model)and an educational reform group(competency-oriented TCM workshop model).The two groups were compared in training performance,evaluation of teaching models,job competency,and TCM nursing service quality.Results:The educational reform group demonstrated statistically significant higher scores(P<0.05),better evaluations of teaching models,enhanced job competencies,and improved TCM nursing service quality compared to the control group.Conclusion:This competency-oriented TCM workshop teaching model effectively enhances nursing competencies in geriatric care,fully leverages TCM’s unique advantages,better meets elderly patients’medical and care needs,and improves the elderly experience in integrated medical-care institutions. 展开更多

The integration of visual elements,such as emojis,into educational content represents a promising approach to enhancing student engagement and comprehension.However,existing efforts in emoji integration often lack systematic frameworks capable of addressing the contextual and pedagogical nuances required for effective implementation.This paper introduces a novel framework that combines Data-Driven Error-Correcting Output Codes(DECOC),Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)networks,and Multi-Layer Deep Neural Networks(ML-DNN)to identify optimal emoji placements within computer science course materials.The originality of the proposed system lies in its ability to leverage sentiment analysis techniques and contextual embeddings to align emoji recommendations with both the emotional tone and learning objectives of course content.A meticulously annotated dataset,comprising diverse topics in computer science,was developed to train and validate the model,ensuring its applicability across a wide range of educational contexts.Comprehensive validation demonstrated the system’s superior performance,achieving an accuracy of 92.4%,precision of 90.7%,recall of 89.3%,and an F1-score of 90.0%.Comparative analysis with baselinemodels and relatedworks confirms themodel’s ability tooutperformexisting approaches inbalancing accuracy,relevance,and contextual appropriateness.Beyond its technical advancements,this framework offers practical benefits for educators by providing an Artificial Intelligence-assisted(AI-assisted)tool that facilitates personalized content adaptation based on student sentiment and engagement patterns.By automating the identification of appropriate emoji placements,teachers can enhance digital course materials with minimal effort,improving the clarity of complex concepts and fostering an emotionally supportive learning environment.This paper contributes to the emerging field of AI-enhanced education by addressing critical gaps in personalized content delivery and pedagogical support.Its findings highlight the transformative potential of integrating AI-driven emoji placement systems into educational materials,offering an innovative tool for fostering student engagement and enhancing learning outcomes.The proposed framework establishes a foundation for future advancements in the visual augmentation of educational resources,emphasizing scalability and adaptability for broader applications in e-learning. 展开更多

Future-Proofing CIA Triad with Authentication for Healthcare:Integrating Hybrid Architecture of ML&DL with IDPS for Robust IoMT Security

This study presents a comprehensive and secure architectural framework for the Internet of Medical Things(IoMT),integrating the foundational principles of the Confidentiality,Integrity,and Availability(CIA)triad along with authentication mechanisms.Leveraging advanced Machine Learning(ML)and Deep Learning(DL)techniques,the proposed system is designed to safeguard Patient-Generated Health Data(PGHD)across interconnected medical devices.Given the increasing complexity and scale of cyber threats in IoMT environments,the integration of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems(IDPS)with intelligent analytics is critical.Our methodology employs both standalone and hybrid ML&DL models to automate threat detection and enable real-time analysis,while ensuring rapid and accurate responses to a diverse array of attacks.Emphasis is placed on systematic model evaluation using detection metrics such as accuracy,False Alarm Rate(FAR),and False Discovery Rate(FDR),with performance validation through cross-validation and statistical significance testing.Experimental results based on the Edge-IIoTset dataset demonstrate the superior performance of ensemble-based ML models such as Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGB)and hybrid DL models such as Convolutional Neural Networks with Autoencoders(CNN+AE),which achieved detection accuracies of 96%and 98%,respectively,with notably low FARs.These findings underscore the effectiveness of combining traditional security principles with advanced AI-driven methodologies to ensure secure,resilient,and trustworthy healthcare systems within the IoMT ecosystem. 展开更多

With the shift in the definition of disease from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)to metabolism-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD),as well as the rapid evolution of pathological classification and therapeutic targets,traditional clinical teaching models face challenges such as outdated guideline updates,disjointed translation of scientific research,and limited skill training.This study proposes a dynamic training model integrating“guidelines,clinical practice,and scientific research.”Through stratified case-based teaching(e.g.,FibroScan simulator and metabolic sand table),dynamic guideline analysis(comparing old and new evidence),and the integration of scientific thinking(visualization of CAND1 protein mechanism),a teaching system that integrates theory and practice is constructed.Innovatively developed smart assistant tools(AI decision support system,VR liver biopsy simulator)and a multi-dimensional evaluation system(deviation analysis of diagnosis and treatment pathways,milestone assessment)are used while emphasizing metabolic medicine integration(continuous glucose monitoring and digital therapy)and ethical privacy protection(federated learning framework).This model aims to cultivate students’evidence-based decision-making skills and scientific research transformation thinking through dynamic knowledge base construction and interdisciplinary collaboration,providing sustainable teaching solutions to cope with the rapid iteration of NAFLD diagnosis and treatment. 展开更多

This editorial provides a commentary on the recent article.The paper reviews current literature and explores innovative treatment strategies for lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans(LEASO)through an integrative approach.It highlights the effectiveness of combination therapies that merge traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)with Western medical practices,suggesting that such integrative methods may improve patient compliance and outcomes through personalized care.This paper stresses the importance of rigorous clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TCM interventions within LEASO treatment protocols,advocating for evidence-based validation of these combined therapies.Our recommendations emphasize accurate diagnosis,appropriate pharmacological in-terventions,the use of advanced surgical and endovascular techniques,and the inclusion of TCM to address underlying dysfunctions.Additionally,continuous monitoring,patient education,and lifestyle modifications are essential to slow disease progression and achieve optimal patient outcomes.The paper concludes by calling for further research to develop standardized treatment protocols that effectively integrate both Western and Chinese medical approaches in managing LEASO. 展开更多

Due to the small size,variety,and high degree of mixing of herbaceous vegetation,remote sensing-based identification of grassland types primarily focuses on extracting major grassland categories,lacking detailed depiction.This limitation significantly hampers the development of effective evaluation and fine supervision for the rational utilization of grassland resources.To address this issue,this study concentrates on the representative grassland of Zhenglan Banner in Inner Mongolia as the study area.It integrates the strengths of Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 active-passive synergistic observations and introduces innovative object-oriented techniques for grassland type classification,thereby enhancing the accuracy and refinement of grassland classification.The results demonstrate the following:(1)To meet the supervision requirements of grassland resources,we propose a grassland type classification system based on remote sensing and the vegetation-habitat classification method,specifically applicable to natural grasslands in northern China.(2)By utilizing the high-spatial-resolution Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)synthesized through the Spatial and Temporal Non-Local Filter-based Fusion Model(STNLFFM),we are able to capture the NDVI time profiles of grassland types,accurately extract vegetation phenological information within the year,and further enhance the temporal resolution.(3)The integration of multi-seasonal spectral,polarization,and phenological characteristics significantly improves the classification accuracy of grassland types.The overall accuracy reaches 82.61%,with a kappa coefficient of 0.79.Compared to using only multi-seasonal spectral features,the accuracy and kappa coefficient have improved by 15.94%and 0.19,respectively.Notably,the accuracy improvement of the gently sloping steppe is the highest,exceeding 38%.(4)Sandy grassland is the most widespread in the study area,and the growth season of grassland vegetation mainly occurs from May to September.The sandy meadow exhibits a longer growing season compared with typical grassland and meadow,and the distinct differences in phenological characteristics contribute to the accurate identification of various grassland types. 展开更多

GaN-based devices have developed significantly in recent years due to their promising applications and research potential.A major goal is to monolithically integrate various GaN-based components onto a single chip to create future optoelectronic systems with low power consumption.This miniaturized integration not only enhances multifunctional performance but also reduces material,processing,and packaging costs.In this study,we present an optoelectronic on-chip system fabricated using a top-down approach on a III-nitride-on-silicon wafer.The system includes a near-ultraviolet light source,a monitor,a 180°bent waveguide,an electro-absorption modulator,and a receiver,all integrated without the need for regrowth or post-growth doping.35 Mbit/s optical data communication is demonstrated through light propagation within the system,confirming its potential for compact GaN-based optoelectronic solutions. 展开更多
