It is not a new field of study in the sense that it requires an entirely new ethical thinking. Rather, it is a field where we can try to use our traditional philosophical notions and apply them to this field of computer technology, information science, and knowledge society in order to define responsibility and accountability. Although relations of causalities may be blurred and complex because of the auto-poetic development of computers and information systems we may still have to face the fact that human beings are fundamentally responsible behind the responsibilities of the computers. So we can say that the concept of reliability and accountability is related to human responsibility in the field of Internet technology. Indeed, issues of hacking, viruses and intervention in computers also pose the problems of responsibility and violation of property and copyrights and here we face similar issues as when we talk about physical property rights although what happens is going on in cyberspace. Also we face fundamental problems about transparency, power and democracy of society as the result of the information revolution in knowledge. This shows how it becomes more and more difficult for governments and organizations to hide information and that information is becoming more and more public. We can also talk about the present development as a technology-driven information revolution in knowledge society. The information overload is a result of this revolution that is expressed in the Internet and that changes the relation of human beings to society where human beings need to access information technology and tools in order to be able to live and work in society.展开更多

One of these areas is hotel information system. Many operations, such as check-in, check-out, and food and beverage, are performed owing to information technologies. Package programs are used for managing hotel operations. Software provides reporting, filtering, remote accessing, and cost control services which are important key parameters of decision-making processes of hotel managers. Cost control is one of the most important operations in hotel management. Cost control service of package programs assists managers in monitoring overall cost and computing each department's partial cost and serves information to the different departments of hotels using information technologies. Cost control is important in the departments which are profitable in a hotel. Food and beverage is one of these profitable departments, which is the second profitable department in hotels. It makes profit between mostly 20% and 40%. This research aims to understand effects of information technologies during decision-making processes. The sample of study is food and beverage managers in five-star hotels in Istanbul. Questionnaire was applied to 45 participants.展开更多

Objective:To explore the effect of the PDCA cycle combined with information technology on the treatment intervention of Chinese herbal medicines.Methods:Traditional medication intervention was implemented from July 20...Objective:To explore the effect of the PDCA cycle combined with information technology on the treatment intervention of Chinese herbal medicines.Methods:Traditional medication intervention was implemented from July 2022 to June 2023,and 57 patients who received Chinese herbal medicine treatment during this period were selected as the control group.The PDCA cycle combined with information technology was implemented from July 2023 to June 2024,and 56 patients who received Chinese herbal medicine treatment during this period were selected as the experimental group.Various indicators were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher,and the incidence of unreasonable prescriptions and adverse reactions was significantly lower than that of the control group.Conclusion:The combination of the PDCA cycle and information technology can improve the overall efficacy of Chinese herbal medicines,reduce the incidence of unreasonable prescriptions and adverse reactions,and ensure the safe use of Chinese herbal medicines.It is worthy of promotion and application.展开更多

Semiconductor perovskite films are now being widely investigated as light harvesters in solar cells with ever-increasing power conversion efficiencies,which have motivated the fabrication of other optoelectronic devic...Semiconductor perovskite films are now being widely investigated as light harvesters in solar cells with ever-increasing power conversion efficiencies,which have motivated the fabrication of other optoelectronic devices,such as light-emitting diodes,lasers,and photodetectors.Their superior material and optical properties are shared by the counterpart colloidal nanocrystals(NCs),with the additional advantage of quantum confinement that can yield size-dependent optical emission ranging from the near-UV to near-infrared wavelengths.So far,intensive research efforts have been devoted to the optical characterization of perovskite NC ensembles,revealing not only fundamental exciton relaxation and recombination dynamics but also lowthreshold amplified spontaneous emission and novel superfluorescence effects.Meanwhile,the application of single-particle spectroscopy techniques to perovskite NCs has helped to resolve a variety of optical properties for which there are few equivalents in traditional colloidal NCs,mainly including nonblinking photoluminescence,suppressed spectral diffusion,stable exciton fine structures,and coherent singlephoton emission.While the main purpose of ensemble optical studies is to guide the smooth development of perovskite NCs in classical optoelectronic applications,the rich observations from single-particle optical studies mark the emergence of a potential platform that can be exploited for quantum information technologies.展开更多

Recent advances in the studies along this line have challenged traditional location theory. The existing literature, however, focuses mainly on the impacts of ICTs on Iocational conditions and industrial spatial distribution. The dynamics behind such changes have not yet been given sufficient attention by geographers. Given this background, this paper investigates the impact of new ICTs on traditional location theory and the dynamics of industrial re-location that are enabled by new ICTs, based on data collected from an investigation of 178 firms. The paper argues that the application of new ICTs has been a key location factor in the information age, and that the time-cost is becoming critical to the spatial organization of firms, particularly as a result of a shorter product life and mass customization, among other dynamics.展开更多

This paper aims to study the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on remoteness and exclusion. It utilises two models - the resource movement framework,and the "information chain" - to analyse a telecentre in one district of mountainous Huancavelica,Peru's poorest region,set in the high Andes. It finds ICTs enabling new and positive resource flows for the two key user groups:teenaged school students and young farmers. These help to maintain social networks. They also support information searches that have improved agricultural practice where other information chain resources have been available. But non-use and ineffective use of the telecentre are found where information chain resources are lacking. ICTs have some impacts on intangible elements of remoteness. In this particular example,they also offer access to some previously-excluded resources. But they have not really addressed the systematic exclusions faced by mountain communities. Using a schema that links intellectual to financial value creation, it is found that China has systematically moved ahead in creating a self-supporting industrial and innovation ecosystem. Hardware enjoys higher barriers to entry, which the Chinese companies are increasingly reinforcing with intellectual property investments. In addition to being better integrated with the global economy, they are also buttressed by the huge domestic market. The overdependence of Indian firms on selling low-value services to a few countries and insulation from domestic demand make them vulnerable to emerging competition and international economic ill-winds. When the author refers to cultural situation, the author means the language or dialect that they speak....The teaching-learning process may have several obstacles; one of those would be a cultural situation of students. When the author refers to cultural situation, the author means the language or dialect that they speak. In the state of Puebla, Mexico, there are primary schools where the courses are taught to students who do not speak Spanish and they only speak their own dialect. On the other hand, the use of information and communication technologies in primary schools in Puebla is a fact but a main concern in schools is that the languages in which they are operated are Spanish. To analyze this situation, the author finds that turns out to be very important and with a negative effect on both the implementation and acceptance of a multimedia program in these schools, generating a technological gap between students. The government efforts are decimated because of this cultural divide prevalent in many communities in the state of Puebla and the increase of this situation when considering the illiterate population.展开更多

文摘In this paper we present a software package based on modern information technologies that allows rapid analysis and visualization of the properties of complex plasmas.The properties of plasma are simulated by two means.First of all,we have applied the molecular dynamics simulation method which numerically solves the equations of motions for plasma particles.Secondly,we calculate microscopic properties of plasma by using the Boltzmann equation with additional relations,initial and boundary conditions.
文摘The teaching-learning process may have several obstacles; one of those would be a cultural situation of students. When the author refers to cultural situation, the author means the language or dialect that they speak. In the state of Puebla, Mexico, there are primary schools where the courses are taught to students who do not speak Spanish and they only speak their own dialect. On the other hand, the use of information and communication technologies in primary schools in Puebla is a fact but a main concern in schools is that the languages in which they are operated are Spanish. To analyze this situation, the author finds that turns out to be very important and with a negative effect on both the implementation and acceptance of a multimedia program in these schools, generating a technological gap between students. The government efforts are decimated because of this cultural divide prevalent in many communities in the state of Puebla and the increase of this situation when considering the illiterate population.
