Electric charge induction monitoring of deformation and failure behavior of igneous rock:Laboratory test and field application

To advance the theoretical understanding,technological development,and field application of electric charge induction for monitoring rock deformation and failure,this study investigates the induced electric charge generated during the deformation and failure of igneous rocks.The charge originates mainly from a combination of electrical polarization and triboelectric effects.Through laboratory experiments,we analyzed the time-frequency evolution of induced electric charge signals and identified relevant monitoring parameters.An online downhole electric charge induction monitoring system was developed and validated in the field.Experimental results show that the dominant frequency range of induced electric charge signals generated during igneous rock deformation and failure lies between 0 and 23 Hz,and a low-pass finite impulse response(FIR)filter effectively suppresses noise.Optimal sensor distances for monitoring cubic and cylindrical specimens were determined to be 17 mm and 13 mm,respectively.We proposed early warning indicators,including the maximum absolute value of the induced electric charge,the arithmetic mean value,the distribution dispersion coefficient,and the cumulative sum value.In field application,time-domain curves and spatial distribution charts of these warning indicators correspond well with changes in abutment stress ahead of the mining face,offering indirect insights into local stress evolution.This research provides technical and equipment support for the application of electric charge induction technology to monitoring and early warning of coal bursts. 展开更多

Two-site synergistic binding strategy for improving adsorption and separation performance of antibodies

The adsorption and separation of antibody drugs are of great significance,but the promising hydrophobic charge induction chromatography(HCIC)and boronate affinity chromatography(BAC)suffer from low specific due to the limitations of single-site adsorption mechanism as well as low adsorption capacity of adsorbents,resulting in a lower purity and recovery of antibodies.To address this issue,this work proposes a two-site synergistic binding strategy integrating HCIC and BAC mechanism on a polymer brushes-grafted adsorbent.Five adsorbents were easily created by polymerizing the mixed monomers of 5-acryloylaminobenzimidazole,3-acryloylamide phenylboronic acid and acrylamide on surface of agarose gel via activators regenerated by electron transfer for atom transfer radical polymerization(ARGET ATRP).The molecular docking implies that the two-site synergistic binding towards immunoglobulin G(IgG)originates from the closely adjacent boronic and benzimidazole side groups in the polymer chains with monomer ratio of 1:1:0.The inference was verified by the effect of three monomer ratios and adsorption conditions on the adsorption performance of IgG.The adsorbent with two-site synergy possesses an excellent specific,enhanced affinity(K_(d)=3.9×10^(-6)mol/L)and adsorption capacity(Q_(m)=253 mg/g)towards IgG.Benefiting from the advantages,IgG from serum and monoclonal antibody(m Ab)from cell culture achieve purities of 95.8%and 98.3%,and recoveries of 95.7%and 97.5%,respectively.The results are comparable to those with protein A adsorbent considered to have the best specific so far,indicating the potential of the two-site synergistic binding strategy in the purification of antibody drugs. 展开更多

Recently,there has been a huge increase in the usage of fuel resources for automobiles which is severely affecting the climate and causing global warming.The use of electric vehicle(EV)is an effective way to protect the environment and reduce travel costs.However,the EV charging system has a single charging source,and the charging rate is limited.In this paper,an EV wireless charging system based on dual source power supply has been developed.It realizes intelligent switching between 12 V photovoltaic output and 220 V AC dual source power,and has wireless transmission function.Based on the proposed power supply architecture,the micro wireless charging model is built,which enables the EV model to store power and realize static and mobile control through the wireless induction charging system. 展开更多

In order to improve the efficiency of reducing fine dust emissions from diffuse sources,the commonly used water mist can be electrostatically charged.Thus,the attraction between particles and droplets increases due to electrostatic field forces.In the experimental investigations carried out,an electrostatic two-fluid nozzle was used to generate a charged spray mist according to the principle of charging by induction.In a chamber,dispersed dust was precipitated with the spray mist,while detecting the laser light attenuation.By means of comparative measurements it could be shown that faster sedimentation and separation takes place through electrostatic attraction.Parameter variations regarding the use of compressed air and water were investigated and the sedimentation time of the particle-droplet mixture in the chamber was shown.A size distribution was then calculated from the laser light attenuation,which shows that the proportion of small particles decreases with spray application.Furthermore,the influence of the polarity of droplets and solid particles on the reduction measure was determined. 展开更多
