The sorbent showed good chemical and thermal stability. Kinetics studies indicated that the equilibrium adsorption was achieved within 10 min and the adsorption kinetics fitted well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The maximum adsorption capacity of the ion-imprinted polymer towards Ni(Ⅱ) at the optimal p H of 7.0 was 66.22 mg·g^(-1). The relative selectivity coefficients of the sorbent were 9.23, 15.71, 14.72 and 20.15 for Ni(Ⅱ)/Co(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ)/Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ)/Zn(Ⅱ) and Ni(Ⅱ)/Pb(Ⅱ), respectively. The adsorption isotherm fitted well with Langmuir isotherm model. The thermodynamic results indicated that the adsorption of Ni(Ⅱ) was a spontaneous and endothermic process. The sorbent showed good reusability evidenced by six cycles of adsorption/desorption experiments. The precision of this method is satisfactory. Thus, the prepared sorbent can be considered as a promising sorbent for selective separation of Ni(Ⅱ) in real water samples.展开更多

DNA methylation, EZH2 and histone modifications also ensure the parental-specific monoallelic expression of at least 62 imprinted genes. Although it is therefore tempting to speculate that epigenetic dysregulation may extend to imprinted genes, expression changes in cancerous prostates are only well documented for insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2). A literature and database survey on imprinted genes in prostate cancer suggests that the expression of most imprinted genes remains unchanged despite global disturbances in epigenetic mechanisms. Instead, selective genetic and epigenetic changes appear to lead to the inactivation of a sub-network of imprinted genes, which might function in the prostate to limit cell growth induced via the PI3K/Akt pathway, modulate androgen responses and regulate differentiation. Whereas dysregulation of IGF2 may constitute an early change in prostate carcinogenesis, inactivation of this imprinted gene network is rather associated with cancer progression.展开更多

On historical grounds, these two determinants have been largely studied independently of each other. Recent evidence suggests, however, that NSCs can reset select genomic imprints to prevent precocious depletion of the stem cell reservoir. Moreover, imprinted genes like the transcriptional regulator Zac1 can fine tune neuronal vs astroglial differentiation of NSCs. Zac1 binds in a sequence-specific manner to pro-neuronal and imprinted genes to confer transcriptional regulation and furthermore coregulates members of the p53-family in NSCs. At the genome scale, Zac1 is a central hub of an imprinted gene network comprising genes with animportant role for NSC quiescence, proliferation and differentiation. Overall, transcriptional, epigenomic, and genomic mechanisms seem to coordinate the functional relationships of NSCs and imprinted genes from development to maturation, and possibly aging.展开更多

CLEN-imprinted pol- ymers were synthesized by the combined use of ally-β-cyclodextrin (ally-13-CD) and methacrylic acid (MAA), allyl-β-CD and acrylonitrile (AN), and allyl-β-CD and methyl methacrylate (MMA) as the binary functional monomers. MAA-linked allyl-β-CD MIPs (M-MAA) were characterized by Fourier transform-infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Based upon the results, M-MAA polymers generally proved to be an excellent selective extraction compared to its references: AN-linked allyl-β-CD MIPs (M-AN) and MMA-linked allyl-β-CD MIPs (M-MMA). M-MAA polymers were eventually chosen to run through a molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) micro-column to enrich CLEN residues spiked in pig livers. A high recovery was achieved, ranging from 91.03% to 96.76% with relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.45%.展开更多

文摘Maize(Zea mays L.)is a globally significant crop essential for food, feed, and bioenergy production. The maize kernel, serving as a primary sink for starch, proteins, lipids, and essential micronutrients,is crucial for enhancing maize yield and quality.Previous studies have established the critical role of Polycomb Repressive Complex 2(PRC2)in regulating kernel development. In this study,we applied a reverse genetics approach to investigate the role of ZmFIE1,the homolog of the PRC2 complex component Extra sex combs(Esc),in maize development. The functional loss of ZmFIE1 significantly reduces embryo size in the early stage but has a relatively small impact on mature kernels.Integrating transcriptional and metabolomic profiling suggests that ZmFIE1 is involved in regulating nutrient balance between the endosperm and embryo. In addition,we demonstrate that ZmFIE1 is maternally expressed, and that the maternal inheritance of the fie1 allele significantly affects the imprinting status of paternally imprinted genes.Overall, our results suggest that ZmFIE1 is a key gene involved in the modulation of embryo development via regulating genomic imprinting and nutrient balance between embryo and endosperm, which provides new insights into the regulation mechanism underlying kernel development.

文摘Quantitative determination of tetracycline(TC)in environment and foods is of great importance,as excessive residues might have negative effects on human health and environmental risks.Herein,a selfpowered molecularly imprinted photoelectrochemical(PEC)sensor based on the Zn O/C photoanode and the Fe-doped CuBi_(2)O_(4)(CBFO)photocathode is developed for the sensitive detection of TC.The photocathodic current can be amplified by the efficient electron transfer caused by the Fermi energy level gap between the photoanode and photocathode.Furthermore, molecularly imprinted polymers(MIPs)at photocathode can selectivity identify the TC templates and thus improve the specificity.Under the optimal conditions, the sensor has a linear range of 10^(-2)-1.0×10^(5) nmol/L,and a limit of detection(LOD)of 0.007 nmol/L(S/N=3).More crucially, the milk sample detection is carried out using the as-prepared sensor, and the outcome is satisfactory. The research gives us a novel sensing platform for quick and accurate antibiotic(like TC)in environment and food monitoring.

文摘Genomic imprinting is the epigenetic phenomenon by which certain genes are expressed in a parent-of-origin-specific manner, and was first discovered in mammalian embryos. Recent studies have shown that it also occurs in developing plant seeds, and is now becoming a hot topic of biology of plant seed development. According to the previous studies on imprinted genes, imprinting mechanism and their roles in plant seed development, the current progress of genomic imprinting in plant seed development was summarized and possible strategies were proposed to deal with the problems, which could provide helpful information for further research.
文摘A novel Ni(Ⅱ) ion-imprinted silica gel polymer was prepared via the surface imprinting technique combined with aqueous solution polymerization by using 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid(AMPS) as a functional monomer for the selective separation of Ni(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution. Thus, the prepared sorbent can be considered as a promising sorbent for selective separation of Ni(Ⅱ) in real water samples.
文摘Epigenetic dysregulation comprising DNA hypermethylation and hypomethylation, enhancer of zeste homologue 2 (EZH2) overexpression and altered patterns of histone modifications is associated with the progression of prostate cancer. Whereas dysregulation of IGF2 may constitute an early change in prostate carcinogenesis, inactivation of this imprinted gene network is rather associated with cancer progression.
文摘This study demonstrates the preparation and characterization of a novel ion imprinted cryogel which exhibits high affinity and selectivity towards Ce(Ⅲ) ions in aqueous solutions and bastnasite ore samples.2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) and N-methacryloylamido antipyrine(MAAP) were used as functional monomers for the preparation of Ce(Ⅲ) imprinted cryogel. The effects of various factors such as initial Ce(Ⅲ) concentration, flow rate, pH, interaction time and ionic strength on the Ce(Ⅲ) binding to the prepared ion imprinted cryogels were also studied. The binding equilibrium for Ce(Ⅲ) is obtained in30 min at the flow rate of 0.5 mL/min. The maximum binding capacity of the prepared ion imprinted cryogel towards Ce(Ⅲ) is obtained as 36.58 mg/g at optimum conditions. The selectivity of the prepared ion imprinted cryogel towards Ce(Ⅲ) in the presence of other possible interfering lanthanide ions such as La(Ⅲ) and Nd(Ⅲ) were also performed. The obtained results showed that the prepared ion imprinted cryogel exhibits high selectivity and sensitivity towards Ce(Ⅲ) ions. The limit of detection(LOD) was found as 50 μg/L.

文摘DEAR EDITOR,Genomic imprinting often results in parent-of-origin specific differential expression of maternally and paternally inherited alleles and plays an essential role in mammalian development and growth.Mammalian genomic imprinting has primarily been studied in mice and humans, with only limited information available for pigs.To systematically characterize this phenomenon and evaluate imprinting status between different species,we investigated imprinted genes on a genome-wide scale in pig brain tissues.
文摘Neural stem cells(NSCs) and imprinted genes play an important role in brain development. Overall, transcriptional, epigenomic, and genomic mechanisms seem to coordinate the functional relationships of NSCs and imprinted genes from development to maturation, and possibly aging.

文摘A pre-treatment methodology for clenbuterol hydrochloride (CLEN) isolation and enrichment in a complex matrix environment was developed through exploiting molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). A high recovery was achieved, ranging from 91.03% to 96.76% with relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.45%.

文摘The uniform surface ion-imprinted resins for Zn2+ as the imprinting vip were prepared by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization utilizing ally phenyl hydrogenphosphate as a functional comonomer. The Zn2+-imprinted resin adsorbed Zn2+ much more effectively than did the unimprinted one. The selective feature of the surface imprinted resins to the template ions was demonstrated.
文摘Heavy metal ion is one of the major environmental pollutants. In this study,a Cu(Ⅱ)ions imprinted magnetic chitosan beads are prepared to use chitosan as functional monomer,Cu(Ⅱ)ions as template,Fe_(3)O_(4) as magnetic core and epichlorohydrin and glutaraldehyde as crosslinker, which can be used for removal Cu(Ⅱ)ions from wastewater. The kinetic study shows that the adsorption process follows the pseudosecond-order kinetic equations. The adsorption isotherm study shows that the Langmuir isotherm equation best fits for the monolayer adsorption processes. The selective adsorption properties are performed in Cu(Ⅱ)/Zn(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ),and Cu(Ⅱ)/Co(Ⅱ)binary systems. The results shows that the ⅡMCD has a high selectivity for Cu(Ⅱ)ions in binary systems. The mechanism of ⅡMCD recognition Cu(Ⅱ)ions is also discussed. The results show that the ⅡMCD adsorption Cu(Ⅱ)ions is an enthalpy controlled process. The absolute value of DH(Cu(Ⅱ))and DS(Cu(Ⅱ))is greater than DH(Zn(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ))and DS(Zn(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ)),respectively, this indicates that the Cu(Ⅱ)ions have a good spatial matching with imprinted holes on ⅡMCD.The FTIR and XPS also demonstrates the strongly combination of function groups on imprinted holes in the suitable space position. Finally, the ⅡMCD can be regenerated and reused for 10 times without a significantly decreasing in adsorption capacity. This information can be used for further application in the selective removal of Cu(Ⅱ)ions from industrial wastewater.
