This paper deals with the numerical solutions of two-dimensional(2D)semi-linear reaction-diffusion equations(SLRDEs)with piecewise continuous argument(PCA)in reaction term.A high-order compact difference method called Ⅰ-type basic scheme is developed for solving the equations and it is proved under the suitable conditions that this method has the computational accuracy O(τ^(2)+h_(x)^(4)+h_(y)^(4)),where τ,h_(x )and h_(y) are the calculation stepsizes of the method in t-,x-and y-direction,respectively.With the above method and Newton linearized technique,a Ⅱ-type basic scheme is also suggested.Based on the both basic schemes,the corresponding Ⅰ-and Ⅱ-type alternating direction implicit(ADI)schemes are derived.Finally,with a series of numerical experiments,the computational accuracy and efficiency of the four numerical schemes are further illustrated. 展开更多

The role of grammar in language teaching has always been the question that researchers debate.In recent years,grammar knowledge has been distinguished in the foreign language acquisition research,namely the implicit knowledge and the explicit knowledge(Dai Manchun 2005;Gu Qiyi 2005).As to the reaserch of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge as well as their measurement,it is easy to find that many scholars have studied the role of two different kinds of grammar knowledge in second language development.But the research on the role of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge in second language reading comprehension is too few,not to mention the research on the role of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge in English reading comprehension in the senior high school.The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between implicit and explicit grammatical knowledge and English reading comprehension ability of senior high school students.In addition,since the vocabulary is important to reading comprehension,this factor will also be considered in the study. 展开更多

A two-dimensional computational model is develope for the calulation of tides, storm surges and otherlong-period waves in coastal and shelf waters. A two-dimensional computational model is develope for the calulation of tides, storm surges and otherlong-period waves in coastal and shelf waters. The Partial differental equations are approximated by two sets of difference equations on a space-staggered grid system. Both sets are explicit with one set for water level and x-component velocity, and another for water level and y-component velocity. These two sets are used successively for stepby-step solution in time. An analytical investigation on the linearized sets of the difference equations indicates that thecomputational scheme is unconditionally stable. The model is of second order accuracy both in space and in time andconserves mass and momentum. Simulations of surface elevation caused by periodic forcing in one-opening rectangularbasin with flat topography and by steady wind stress in the basin with flat or slope topography show that the computed results are in excellent agreement with the corresponding analytic solutions. The steady-tate wind-induced setupin a ofed basin with discontinuous topography computed with the present model are also in excellent agreement withthe results from Leendertse's model. Finally, the model is applied to hindcast a storm surge in the South China Seaand reproduces the surge elevation satisfactorily. 展开更多

On the Alternate Direction Implicit (ADI) Method for Solving Heat Transfer in Composite Stamping

Thermostamping of thermoplastic matrix composites is a process where a preheated blank is rapidly shaped in a cold matching mould. Predictive modelling of the main physical phenomena occurring in this process requires an accurate prediction of the temperature field. In this paper, a numerical method is proposed to simulate this heat transfer. The initial three-dimensional heat equation is handled using an additive decomposition, a thin shell assumption, and an operator splitting strategy. An adapted resolution algorithm is then presented. It results in an alternate direction implicit decomposition: the problem is solved successively as a 2D surface problem and several one-dimensional through thickness problems. The strategy was fully validated versus a 3D calculation on a simple test case and the proposed strategy is shown to enable a tremendous calculation speed up. The limits of applicability of this method are investigated with two parametric studies, one on the thickness to width ratio and the other one on the effect of curvature. These conditions are usually fulfilled in industrial cases. Finally, even though the method was developed under linear assumption (constant material properties), the strategy validity is extended to multiply, temperature dependant (nonlinear) case using an industrial test case. Because of the standard methods involved, the proposed ADI method can readily be implemented in existing software. 展开更多

In this paper,we present an approach for smooth surface reconstructions interpolating triangular meshes with ar-bitrary topology and geometry.The approach is based on the well-known radial basis functions(RBFs)and the constructed surfaces are generalized thin-plate spline surfaces.Our algorithm first defines a pair of offset points for each vertex of a given mesh to en-hance the controUability of local geometry and to assure stability of the construction.A linear system is then solved by LU decomposi-tion and the implicit governing equation of interpolating surface is obtained.The constructed surfaces finally are visualized by a Marching Cubes based polygonizer.The approach provides a robust and efficient solution for smooth surface reconstruction from various 3 D meshes. 展开更多

A parallel solver framework for fully implicit monolithic fluid-structure interaction

We propose a suite of strategies for the parallel solution of fully implicit monolithic fluid-structure interaction(FSI).The solver is based on a modeling approach that uses the velocity and pressure as the primitive variables,which offers a bridge between computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and computational structural dynamics.The spatiotemporal discretization leverages the variational multiscale formulation and the generalized-αmethod as a means of providing a robust discrete scheme.In particular,the time integration scheme does not suffer from the overshoot phenomenon and optimally dissipates high-frequency spurious modes in both subproblems of FSI.Based on the chosen fully implicit scheme,we systematically develop a combined suite of nonlinear and linear solver strategies.Invoking a block factorization of the Jacobian matrix,the Newton-Raphson procedure is reduced to solving two smaller linear systems in the multi-corrector stage.The first is of the elliptic type,indicating that the algebraic multigrid method serves as a well-suited option.The second exhibits a two-by-two block structure that is analogous to the system arising in CFD.Inspired by prior studies,the additive Schwarz domain decomposition method and the block-factorization-based preconditioners are invoked to address the linear problem.Since the number of unknowns matches in both subdomains,it is straightforward to balance loads when parallelizing the algorithm for distributed-memory architectures.We use two representative FSI benchmarks to demonstrate the robustness,efficiency,and scalability of the overall FSI solver framework.In particular,it is found that the developed FSI solver is comparable to the CFD solver in several aspects,including fixed-size and isogranular scalability as well as robustness. 展开更多

Realistic human reconstruction embraces an extensive range of applications as depth sensors advance.However,current stateof-the-art methods with RGB-D input still suffer from artefacts,such as noisy surfaces,non-human shapes,and depth ambiguity,especially for the invisible parts.The authors observe the main issue is the lack of geometric semantics without using depth input priors fully.This paper focuses on improving the representation ability of implicit function,exploring an effective method to utilise depth-related semantics effectively and efficiently.The proposed geometry-enhanced implicit function enhances the geometric semantics with the extra voxel-aligned features from point clouds,promoting the completion of missing parts for unseen regions while preserving the local details on the input.For incorporating multi-scale pixel-aligned and voxelaligned features,the authors use the Squeeze-and-Excitation attention to capture and fully use channel interdependencies.For the multi-view reconstruction,the proposed depth-enhanced attention explicitly excites the network to“sense”the geometric structure for a more reasonable feature aggregation.Experiments and results show that our method outperforms current RGB and depth-based SOTA methods on the challenging data from Twindom and Thuman3.0,and achieves a detailed and completed human reconstruction,balancing performance and efficiency well. 展开更多

The accuracy of numerical computation heavily relies on appropriate meshing,whichserves as the foundation for numerical computation.Although adaptive refinement methods areavailable,an adaptive numerical solution is likely to be ineffective if it originates from a poorly ini-tial mesh.Therefore,it is crucial to generate meshes that accurately capture the geometric features.As an indispensable input in meshing methods,the Mesh Size Function(MSF)determines the qual-ity of the generated mesh.However,the current generation of MSF involves human participation tospecify numerous parameters,leading to difficulties in practical usage.Considering the capacity ofmachine learning to reveal the latent relationships within data,this paper proposes a novel machinelearning method,Implicit Geometry Neural Network(IGNN),for automatic prediction of appro-priate MSFs based on the existing mesh data,enabling the generation of unstructured meshes thatalign precisely with geometric features.IGNN employs the generative adversarial theory to learnthe mapping between the implicit representation of the geometry(Signed Distance Function,SDF)and the corresponding MSF.Experimental results show that the proposed method is capableof automatically generating appropriate meshes and achieving comparable meshing results com-pared to traditional methods.This paper demonstrates the possibility of significantly decreasingthe workload of mesh generation using machine learning techniques,and it is expected to increasethe automation level of mesh generation. 展开更多
