The human brain is a complex intelligent system composed of tens of billions of neurons interconnected through synapses,and its intricate network structure has consistently attracted numerous scientists to explore the...The human brain is a complex intelligent system composed of tens of billions of neurons interconnected through synapses,and its intricate network structure has consistently attracted numerous scientists to explore the mysteries of brain functions.However,most existing studies have only verified the biological mimicry characteristics of memristors at the single neuron-synapse level,and there is still a lack of research on memristors simulating synaptic coupling between neurons in multi-neuron networks.Based on this,this paper uses discrete memristors to couple dual discrete Rulkov neurons,and adds synaptic crosstalk between the two discrete memristors to form a neuronal network.A memristor-coupled dual-neuron map,called the Rulkov-memristor-Rulkov(R-M-R)map,is constructed to simulate synaptic connections between neurons in biological tissues.Then,the equilibrium points of the R-M-R map are studied.Subsequently,the effect of parameter variations on the dynamic performance of the R-M-R map is comprehensively analyzed using bifurcation diagram,phase diagram,Lyapunov exponent spectrum(LEs),firing diagram,and spectral entropy(SE)complexity algorithms.In the RM-R map,diverse categories of periodic,chaotic,and hyperchaotic attractors,as well as different states of firing patterns,can be observed.Additionally,different types of state transitions and coexisting attractors are discovered.Finally,the feasibility of the model in digital circuits is verified using a DSP hardware platform.In this study,the coupling principle of biological neurons is simulated,the chaotic dynamic behavior of the R-M-R map is analyzed,and a foundation is laid for deciphering the complex working mechanisms of the brain.展开更多
Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosyst...Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved.However,intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment.This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework.Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels,respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity,with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale.At the county level,the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale,while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions.This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions.展开更多

But, overall, forestry mitigation activities also contribute to the sustainable development agenda. The horizontal ecological compensation plays an important role in balancing the interests of all parties and coordinating regional development in the basin.However,the mechanism of ecological compensation based on emb...The horizontal ecological compensation plays an important role in balancing the interests of all parties and coordinating regional development in the basin.However,the mechanism of ecological compensation based on embodied carbon emissions is still poorly understood.Here,taking the Yellow River Basin as the research area,we use the multi-regional input-output(MRIO)model to measure the embodied carbon transfers between its seven urban agglomerations in 2012 and 2017 from the viewpoint of value-added trade benefits.Further,for the first time,the green trade benefits and ecological compensation amounts are analyzed.The results indicate that:(1)The transfer of trade-embodied carbon among the urban agglomerations in the basin showed obvious spatial heterogeneity and geographic proximity effects,and trade-embodied carbon outflows(inflows)had a pattern of"highest in the midstream,second in the downstream,and lowest in the upstream".(2)The industry composition of the urban agglomerations in relation to embodied carbon outflows(inflows)was similar,mainly in the service and heavy manufacturing industries.(3)The spatial pattern of green trade benefits in the basin had shifted from"high in the north and low in the surrounding area"to"high in the east-central part and low in the west".(4)The pattern of ecological compensation in the basin had shifted from the upstream surplus,the middle and downstream deficit to the midstream deficit,and the upstream and downstream surplus.Therefore,we recommend improving energy structures in high-demand urban agglomerations by adopting clean energy,focusing on decarbonization and energy efficiency in resource-rich regions.Additionally,promoting low-carbon economies,especially in the service and heavy manufacturing industries,implementing differentiated emission reduction strategies,and optimizing carbon compensation mechanisms considering regional disparities and resource endowments are crucial.It is expected that the study can enrich the scientific basis of horizontal ecological compensation and increase the fairness of regional carbon emission rights allocation.展开更多

The demand for Chinese-Western medicine collaboration has grown significantly,but current integration methods have substantial limitations.This article analyzes core issues in developing and implementing synergistic C...The demand for Chinese-Western medicine collaboration has grown significantly,but current integration methods have substantial limitations.This article analyzes core issues in developing and implementing synergistic Chinese-Western medicine clinical treatment strategies and explores the transformation from traditional integration to genuine synergistic models.We analyzed methodological obstacles in synergistic strategy development through literature review and theoretical analysis,and explored applications of intelligent technology in strategy development.Four core challenges were identified:(1)Treatment timing coordination difficulties caused by different decision-making approaches,with Chinese medicine using syndrome-based assessments and Western medicine relying on standardized measurements;(2)Treatment selection complexities when integrating different types of evidence,lacking frameworks for evaluating and combining diverse evidence sources;(3)Obstacles in incorporating patient preferences systematically,with inadequate assessment methods and unclear integration mechanisms;(4)Implementation barriers in translating synergistic strategies into clinical practice,requiring changes in organizational structures,workflows,and evaluation systems.Large language models(LLMs)and other intelligent technologies offer technical support for addressing these methodological challenges.This article examines current challenges in developing synergistic Chinese-Western medicine clinical strategies,analyzing the shift from traditional integration toward synergistic approaches and identifying four core methodological obstacles.Exploring intelligent technology applications provides insights to inform future research directions and clinical practice development in integrated healthcare delivery.展开更多

The efficient implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is crucial for network data security.This paper presents novel hardware implementations of the AES S-box,a core component,using tower field represen...The efficient implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is crucial for network data security.This paper presents novel hardware implementations of the AES S-box,a core component,using tower field representations and Boolean Satisfiability(SAT)solvers.Our research makes several significant contri-butions to the field.Firstly,we have optimized the GF(24)inversion,achieving a remarkable 31.35%area reduction(15.33 GE)compared to the best known implementations.Secondly,we have enhanced multiplication implementa-tions for transformation matrices using a SAT-method based on local solutions.This approach has yielded notable improvements,such as a 22.22%reduction in area(42.00 GE)for the top transformation matrix in GF((24)2)-type S-box implementation.Furthermore,we have proposed new implementations of GF(((22)2)2)-type and GF((24)2)-type S-boxes,with the GF(((22)2)2)-type demonstrating superior performance.This implementation offers two variants:a small area variant that sets new area records,and a fast variant that establishes new benchmarks in Area-Execution-Time(AET)and energy consumption.Our approach significantly improves upon existing S-box implementations,offering advancements in area,speed,and energy consumption.These optimizations contribute to more efficient and secure AES implementations,potentially enhancing various cryptographic applications in the field of network security.展开更多
[Objective]The paper was to investigate the effects of substituting corn pellets with potato residue on the growth performance,rumen fermentation indicators and economic benefits of Xinjiang Brown cattle.[Method]A tot...[Objective]The paper was to investigate the effects of substituting corn pellets with potato residue on the growth performance,rumen fermentation indicators and economic benefits of Xinjiang Brown cattle.[Method]A total of 80 Xinjiang Brown cattle,each 22 months old and with a similar body weight of(250±15)kg,were randomly assigned to four groups,with 20 cattle in each group,utilizing a single-factor experimental design.The total mixed diets for the experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ were formulated by substituting corn pellets with 2.00%,4.00%,and 6.00%potato residue,respectively,while the diet in the control group was not substituted with potato residue.The duration of the test was 100 d,which comprised a pre-test period of 10 d and a formal test period of 90 d.During the test period,the average dry matter intake,average daily weight gain and feed-gain ratio were assessed at 30-day intervals,and body size indicators were measured on days 0 and 90.Rumen fluid samples were collected from the oral cavity on days 0,30,60,and 90 to assess rumen fermentation parameters.Additionally,jugular blood samples were obtained during the fasting period,and serum was separated for the analysis of total protein mass concentration,urea nitrogen,and glucose concentration.Furthermore,the economic benefits accrued during the test period were calculated.[Result]The dry matter intake in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly higher than that in the control group from days 31 to 60(P<0.05).In contrast,the differences in dry matter intake between experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ and the control group were not statistically significant(P>0.05).From days 61 to 90,the dry matter intake in experimental group Ⅰ remained significantly higher than that in the other groups(P<0.05).Throughout the entire experimental period,the average daily weight gain observed in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly greater than that recorded in the other groups(P<0.05).Additionally,the total weight gain over the entire period was significantly higher than that of experimental group Ⅱ(P<0.05)and markedly higher than that of both the control group and experimental group Ⅲ(P<0.01).The feed-gain ratio in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly lower than that in experimental group Ⅱ(P<0.05).There were no statisticaly significant differences observed in body height,slope length,thoracic circumference,abdominal circumference,rumen pH,acetic acid,propionic acid,butyric acid,valeric acid,total volatile fatty acids,and ammoniacal nitrogen mass concentration among the groups(P>0.05).On the 90th day of the experiment,the serum urea nitrogen concentration in beef cattle from experimental groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ was significantly lower than that in the control group and experimental group Ⅲ(P<0.05).Additionally,the profit margins in experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ were higher than those in the control group,and the profit margin in experimental group Ⅰ was the highest.[Conclusion]The substitution of corn pellets with potato residue has the potential to enhance the average daily weight gain and total weight gain throughout the entire period in beef cattle,while simultaneously reducing the feed-gain ratio.However,this substitution does not appear to have a significant impact on body size indicators,rumen fermentation parameters,or the concentrations of serum total protein and glucose in beef cattle.Furthermore,this approach may yield improved breeding profitability,with a recommended substitution ratio of 2.00%based on the conditions of this experiment.展开更多

文摘The human brain is a complex intelligent system composed of tens of billions of neurons interconnected through synapses,and its intricate network structure has consistently attracted numerous scientists to explore the mysteries of brain functions.However,most existing studies have only verified the biological mimicry characteristics of memristors at the single neuron-synapse level,and there is still a lack of research on memristors simulating synaptic coupling between neurons in multi-neuron networks.Based on this,this paper uses discrete memristors to couple dual discrete Rulkov neurons,and adds synaptic crosstalk between the two discrete memristors to form a neuronal network.A memristor-coupled dual-neuron map,called the Rulkov-memristor-Rulkov(R-M-R)map,is constructed to simulate synaptic connections between neurons in biological tissues.Then,the equilibrium points of the R-M-R map are studied.Subsequently,the effect of parameter variations on the dynamic performance of the R-M-R map is comprehensively analyzed using bifurcation diagram,phase diagram,Lyapunov exponent spectrum(LEs),firing diagram,and spectral entropy(SE)complexity algorithms.In the RM-R map,diverse categories of periodic,chaotic,and hyperchaotic attractors,as well as different states of firing patterns,can be observed.Additionally,different types of state transitions and coexisting attractors are discovered.Finally,the feasibility of the model in digital circuits is verified using a DSP hardware platform.In this study,the coupling principle of biological neurons is simulated,the chaotic dynamic behavior of the R-M-R map is analyzed,and a foundation is laid for deciphering the complex working mechanisms of the brain.

文摘Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved.However,intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment.This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework.Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels,respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity,with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale.At the county level,the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale,while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions.This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions.

文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a complex,progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the leading cause of dementia worldwide.It is characterized by the accumulation of extracellular amyloid-beta(Aβ)plaques and intracellular tau neurofibrillary tangles,leading to synaptic dysfunction,neuronal loss,and cognitive decline.These pathological changes can begin decades before clinical symptoms emerge,highlighting the critical need for early,accessible,and accurate diagnostic tools.
文摘Implementation of forestry activities as a climate change mitigation option is likely to result in a range of outcomes in addition to carbon sequestration and these include changes with respect to environmental, social and economic aspects. These impacts to the extent when positive are deemed “co-benefit” and if adverse and uncertain, imply risk. It is important to recognize that implementation of forestry mitigation activities can have varied environmental, socio-economic co-benefits and/or risks. Further, there is no general agreement on attribution of co-benefits and risks to specific forestry mitigation activities. An overarching risk to mitigation potential that could be realised by implementation of forestry activities is climate change. But, overall, forestry mitigation activities also contribute to the sustainable development agenda. Maximizing co-benefits of forestry mitigation measures can increase efficiency in achieving the objectives of other international agreements.

文摘Honey,a natural substance,has long been valued for its dual role in both food and medicine in diverse cultural traditions,particularly in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).It is rich in sugars,amino acids,enzymes,polyphenols,and flavonoids that contribute to its antimicrobial,antioxidant,and immuno-modulatory properties.Additionally,honey is effective in managing some conditions,such as antibiotic-resistant infections,inflammation,and oxidative stress-related diseases.This review explores the extensive health benefits of honey,emphasizing the homology between food and medicine,as proposed by TCM philosophy.Further,this review explores the traditional applications of honey in respiratory health,wound healing,and gastrointestinal support,along with modern scientific validation of these uses.Moreover,the role of honey as a dietary supplement,functional food,and preservative in culinary practices is examined.Overall,this review highlights the synergy between ancient wisdom and contemporary science,advocating for the continued exploration of the role of honey in health,nutrition,and medicine.

文摘The horizontal ecological compensation plays an important role in balancing the interests of all parties and coordinating regional development in the basin.However,the mechanism of ecological compensation based on embodied carbon emissions is still poorly understood.Here,taking the Yellow River Basin as the research area,we use the multi-regional input-output(MRIO)model to measure the embodied carbon transfers between its seven urban agglomerations in 2012 and 2017 from the viewpoint of value-added trade benefits.Further,for the first time,the green trade benefits and ecological compensation amounts are analyzed.The results indicate that:(1)The transfer of trade-embodied carbon among the urban agglomerations in the basin showed obvious spatial heterogeneity and geographic proximity effects,and trade-embodied carbon outflows(inflows)had a pattern of"highest in the midstream,second in the downstream,and lowest in the upstream".(2)The industry composition of the urban agglomerations in relation to embodied carbon outflows(inflows)was similar,mainly in the service and heavy manufacturing industries.(3)The spatial pattern of green trade benefits in the basin had shifted from"high in the north and low in the surrounding area"to"high in the east-central part and low in the west".(4)The pattern of ecological compensation in the basin had shifted from the upstream surplus,the middle and downstream deficit to the midstream deficit,and the upstream and downstream surplus.Therefore,we recommend improving energy structures in high-demand urban agglomerations by adopting clean energy,focusing on decarbonization and energy efficiency in resource-rich regions.Additionally,promoting low-carbon economies,especially in the service and heavy manufacturing industries,implementing differentiated emission reduction strategies,and optimizing carbon compensation mechanisms considering regional disparities and resource endowments are crucial.It is expected that the study can enrich the scientific basis of horizontal ecological compensation and increase the fairness of regional carbon emission rights allocation.

文摘With the increasing use of technology in language education,understanding the benefits and barriers of mobile-assisted language learning(MALL)is crucial for effective integration.Qualitative data were collected through interviews among Chinese English teachers in universities.Thematic analysis was employed to identify themes.The findings reveal that Chinese English teachers perceive MALL to offer benefits like convenience,effectiveness,efficiency,engagement,personalization,and resource richness.However,several barriers were identified,including low teacher ability,student device misuse,lack of institutional support,technical limitations,health concerns,and time constraints.These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing the adoption of MALL in Chinese universities and have implications for language teaching practice.
文摘The vonoprazan(VPZ)triple therapy regimen for Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)eradication developed by Han et al employs a scientifically rigorous clinical trial design.This multicenter randomized controlled trial establishes a standardized treatment framework aimed at improving H.pylori eradication rates,focusing on simplifying treatment regimens,shortening therapy duration,and optimizing therapeutic outcomes.The core of clinical translation lies in improving drug accessibility,establishing multidimensional safety evaluation systems,and optimizing cost-effectiveness.Conducting regional adaptability studies and comprehensive safety assessments is crucial for enhancing VPZ regimen effectiveness in China’s diverse healthcare environments.This study provides important evidence-based support for optimizing H.pylori treatment strategies in China,though further validation of universal applicability for nationwide implementation remains necessary.

文摘Language policies are of great significance to a nation’s stability,unity,and development.Uzbekistan’s language policies have reflected the political,economic,and cultural dynamics of different periods throughout historical changes,influencing social structures and ethnic relations.This paper summarizes the characteristics of Uzbekistan’s language policies in different eras:During the Tsarist Russian period,the Russification of language policies hindered the development of local languages;in the Soviet era,policies adopted a dual approach,promoting both Russian and prioritizing ethnic languages;after independence,Uzbekistan established Uzbek as the state language and emphasized foreign language education.The current language policy in Uzbekistan presents a complex landscape:While emphasizing the dominant role of the national language helps preserve its heritage,it may easily spark ethnic and political tensions;promoting pluralism and inclusivity brings benefits but faces challenges in balancing language statuses,resource allocation,management,and communication;modernization efforts encounter difficulties in standardizing dialects and foreign loanwords;and in international exchanges,there is a need to balance relations with global lingua francas.In conclusion,Uzbekistan’s language policies have undergone unique transformations and face numerous challenges.In-depth research is crucial for improving the country’s policies and enhancing China-Uzbekistan cooperation.Proactive measures are needed to address these challenges,ensuring the sustainability of language policies and fostering greater national prosperity.
文摘Taking Zhejiang Province as an example,this paper explores the mechanisms and implementation pathways through which the low-altitude economy drives the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry.It finds that the low-altitude economy can effectively promote the development of high-end and diversified tourism in Zhejiang by innovating tourism formats,optimizing resource allocation,and enhancing tourist experiences.Besides,it analyzes the current development status of the low-altitude economy in Zhejiang and its potential for integration with tourism,revealing specific enabling pathways for tourism transformation,including low-altitude sightseeing,aviation tourism,and low-altitude sports.Finally,it proposes policy recommendations such as strengthening policy support,enhancing infrastructure development,and cultivating market entities.The findings aim to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for the high-quality development of tourism in Zhejiang Province.

文摘Public participation is crucial in mitigating disasters.Stemming from the ongoing debate on benefit-and risk-driven approaches to landslide mitigation,this study seeks to uncover the factors and underlying mechanisms that affect farmers'willingness to participate in landslide prevention and mitigation(WPLPM).Conducted in Heifangtai,Gansu Province,China,renowned as the"landslide natural laboratory",this research employs multiple linear regression analysis on data from 399 questionnaires to pinpoint the key determinants of farmers'WPLPM.The findings reveal:(1)the"risk perception paradox"exists—farmers have high-risk perception but low WPLPM;(2)the impact of risk perception on WPLPM is tempered by self-efficacy related to fund,learning ability,and operation ability,offering an insight into the"risk perception paradox";and(3)There are significant positive influences of farmers'benefit perception,social network,and perceived responsibility on their WPLPM.Based on these insights,the study offers targeted policy recommendations.

文摘The demand for Chinese-Western medicine collaboration has grown significantly,but current integration methods have substantial limitations.This article analyzes core issues in developing and implementing synergistic Chinese-Western medicine clinical treatment strategies and explores the transformation from traditional integration to genuine synergistic models.We analyzed methodological obstacles in synergistic strategy development through literature review and theoretical analysis,and explored applications of intelligent technology in strategy development.Four core challenges were identified:(1)Treatment timing coordination difficulties caused by different decision-making approaches,with Chinese medicine using syndrome-based assessments and Western medicine relying on standardized measurements;(2)Treatment selection complexities when integrating different types of evidence,lacking frameworks for evaluating and combining diverse evidence sources;(3)Obstacles in incorporating patient preferences systematically,with inadequate assessment methods and unclear integration mechanisms;(4)Implementation barriers in translating synergistic strategies into clinical practice,requiring changes in organizational structures,workflows,and evaluation systems.Large language models(LLMs)and other intelligent technologies offer technical support for addressing these methodological challenges.This article examines current challenges in developing synergistic Chinese-Western medicine clinical strategies,analyzing the shift from traditional integration toward synergistic approaches and identifying four core methodological obstacles.Exploring intelligent technology applications provides insights to inform future research directions and clinical practice development in integrated healthcare delivery.

文摘Oncology covers a wide range of knowledge and is more difficult compared to other clinical disciplines.Therefore,it is crucial to seek an efficient teaching method for oncology education.In recent years,China’s internet technology has achieved rapid development.Massive Open Online Course(MOOC),a blended learning approach based on internet technology,has strong applicability to medical education.It can not only improve teaching quality but also promote further reform of the discipline.Based on this,our study searched for relevant research at home and abroad and reviewed the implementation path of integrating MOOC and blended learning in oncology education.This provides a theoretical foundation for the innovation of oncology teaching models,improves the level of oncology teaching,and lays a solid foundation for talent reserves in oncology departments.

文摘The efficient implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is crucial for network data security.This paper presents novel hardware implementations of the AES S-box,a core component,using tower field representations and Boolean Satisfiability(SAT)solvers.Our research makes several significant contri-butions to the field.Firstly,we have optimized the GF(24)inversion,achieving a remarkable 31.35%area reduction(15.33 GE)compared to the best known implementations.Secondly,we have enhanced multiplication implementa-tions for transformation matrices using a SAT-method based on local solutions.This approach has yielded notable improvements,such as a 22.22%reduction in area(42.00 GE)for the top transformation matrix in GF((24)2)-type S-box implementation.Furthermore,we have proposed new implementations of GF(((22)2)2)-type and GF((24)2)-type S-boxes,with the GF(((22)2)2)-type demonstrating superior performance.This implementation offers two variants:a small area variant that sets new area records,and a fast variant that establishes new benchmarks in Area-Execution-Time(AET)and energy consumption.Our approach significantly improves upon existing S-box implementations,offering advancements in area,speed,and energy consumption.These optimizations contribute to more efficient and secure AES implementations,potentially enhancing various cryptographic applications in the field of network security.

文摘[Objective]The paper was to investigate the effects of substituting corn pellets with potato residue on the growth performance,rumen fermentation indicators and economic benefits of Xinjiang Brown cattle.[Method]A total of 80 Xinjiang Brown cattle,each 22 months old and with a similar body weight of(250±15)kg,were randomly assigned to four groups,with 20 cattle in each group,utilizing a single-factor experimental design.The total mixed diets for the experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ were formulated by substituting corn pellets with 2.00%,4.00%,and 6.00%potato residue,respectively,while the diet in the control group was not substituted with potato residue.The duration of the test was 100 d,which comprised a pre-test period of 10 d and a formal test period of 90 d.During the test period,the average dry matter intake,average daily weight gain and feed-gain ratio were assessed at 30-day intervals,and body size indicators were measured on days 0 and 90.Rumen fluid samples were collected from the oral cavity on days 0,30,60,and 90 to assess rumen fermentation parameters.Additionally,jugular blood samples were obtained during the fasting period,and serum was separated for the analysis of total protein mass concentration,urea nitrogen,and glucose concentration.Furthermore,the economic benefits accrued during the test period were calculated.[Result]The dry matter intake in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly higher than that in the control group from days 31 to 60(P<0.05).In contrast,the differences in dry matter intake between experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ and the control group were not statistically significant(P>0.05).From days 61 to 90,the dry matter intake in experimental group Ⅰ remained significantly higher than that in the other groups(P<0.05).Throughout the entire experimental period,the average daily weight gain observed in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly greater than that recorded in the other groups(P<0.05).Additionally,the total weight gain over the entire period was significantly higher than that of experimental group Ⅱ(P<0.05)and markedly higher than that of both the control group and experimental group Ⅲ(P<0.01).The feed-gain ratio in experimental group Ⅰ was significantly lower than that in experimental group Ⅱ(P<0.05).There were no statisticaly significant differences observed in body height,slope length,thoracic circumference,abdominal circumference,rumen pH,acetic acid,propionic acid,butyric acid,valeric acid,total volatile fatty acids,and ammoniacal nitrogen mass concentration among the groups(P>0.05).On the 90th day of the experiment,the serum urea nitrogen concentration in beef cattle from experimental groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ was significantly lower than that in the control group and experimental group Ⅲ(P<0.05).Additionally,the profit margins in experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ were higher than those in the control group,and the profit margin in experimental group Ⅰ was the highest.[Conclusion]The substitution of corn pellets with potato residue has the potential to enhance the average daily weight gain and total weight gain throughout the entire period in beef cattle,while simultaneously reducing the feed-gain ratio.However,this substitution does not appear to have a significant impact on body size indicators,rumen fermentation parameters,or the concentrations of serum total protein and glucose in beef cattle.Furthermore,this approach may yield improved breeding profitability,with a recommended substitution ratio of 2.00%based on the conditions of this experiment.
