文摘In this study,an inverse design framework was established to find lightweight honeycomb structures(HCSs)with high impact resistance. The hybrid HCS,composed of re-entrant(RE)and elliptical annular re-entrant(EARE)honeycomb cells, was created by constructing arrangement matrices to achieve structural lightweight. The machine learning(ML)framework consisted of a neural network(NN)forward regression model for predicting impact resistance and a multi-objective optimization algorithm for generating high-performance designs. The surrogate of the local design space was initially realized by establishing the NN in the small sample dataset, and the active learning strategy was used to continuously extended the local optimal design until the model converged in the global space. The results indicated that the active learning strategy significantly improved the inference capability of the NN model in unknown design domains.By guiding the iteration direction of the optimization algorithm, lightweight designs with high impact resistance were identified. The energy absorption capacity of the optimal design reached 94.98%of the EARE honeycomb, while the initial peak stress and mass decreased by 28.85%and 19.91%,respectively.Furthermore,Shapley Additive Explanations(SHAP)for global explanation of the NN indicated a strong correlation between the arrangement mode of HCS and its impact resistance.By reducing the stiffness of the cells at the top boundary of the structure, the initial impact damage sustained by the structure can be significantly improved.Overall, this study proposed a general lightweight design method for array structures under impact loads, which is beneficial for the widespread application of honeycomb-based protective structures.

文摘The synergistic effects of corrosion and impact loading on the microstructure evolution and dynamic mechanical properties of ultrahigh-strength AerMet 100 steel are investigated.Through integrated experiments and modeling, the result reveals that the corrosion leads to grain refinement and a reduction in the proportion of low-angle grain boundaries.Notably, corrosion promotes austenite enrichment(increasing from 1.8%to 13.9%)through selective dissolution of the martensitic matrix, while repetitive impacts reverse this trend(reducing to 0.1%)through stress-induced martensitic transformation.Fracture analysis demonstrates corrosion-induced ductile-to-brittle transition, with quasi-cleavage features dominating after prolonged corrosion.A physics-based dynamic yield strength model with<3%prediction error relative to impact tests is developed. These findings establish microstructure-property relationships of AerMet 100 steel under multi-field coupling, providing critical guidance for designing corrosion-resistant ultrahigh-strength steels in marine-impact environments.

文摘Material phase-transition represents a significant phenomenon and mechanism in the context of hypervelocity protection. This study presents a thorough analysis of the phase-transition phenomena induced by shock pressure as the shock wave propagates initially to the rear of the projectile. The shock wave that induces a phase-transition is commonly referred to as a macroscopic phase-transition wave, whereas the interface that separates the distinct phases is referred to as macroscopic phase-boundary.The contact interface between the spherical projectile and the thin plate, characterized by its curved surface, plays a significant role in the nonlinear propagation and evolution of wave systems. The pressure distribution along the central axis of a spherical projectile is derived in accordance with the linear decay law observed for axial pressure. On this basis,a quadratic function is employed to characterize the trend of changes in wave front pressure, thereby facilitating the establishment of a model for wave front pressure distribution.Using the phase-transition pressure criterion for materials, the wave front phase evolution process is derived, and the macroscopic phase-boundary is determined.Based on the geometric propagation model(GPM)and the pressure distribution of the wave front,a phase geometric propagation model(PGPM)is proposed. The phase distribution of a spherical projectile impacting a thin plate is obtained by theoretical methods. The accuracy of the PGPM is subsequently validated through a comparison of its results with those obtained from numerical simulations.

文摘Drilling and blasting tunneling is a cyclic process in which tunnel rock undergoes repeated blast loading, affecting its dynamic characteristics, energy evolution, and damage progression. To explore the dynamic mechanical properties and damage mechanisms of carbonaceous slate under cyclic impact loads of varying intensities, cyclic dynamic tests are conducted using a triaxial split Hopkinson pressure bar. This study analyzes the stress-strain relationship, energy damage evolution, and macro-to-micro failure characteristics. The results show that peak stress and strain are significantly influenced by impact intensity and the number of impacts. The initial dynamic stress is positively correlated with the impact intensity, but with more impact, the dynamic stress decreases while the peak strain increases.Energy evolution follows a pattern of"slow growthfluctuating growthrapid growth,"with the crack initiation stress and its proportion decreasing.CT and SEM analyses reveal that as the impact intensity increases, failure becomes more chaotic, the fracture volume increases, and the fracture mode shifts from interlayer and intergranular to through-layer and trans-granular fractures. These findings provide an experimental basis for soft rock tunnel stability analysis.

文摘Compared with traditional energy sources, wind power has a lower environmental impact. However, emissions are still generated across the life cycle of wind turbines, from production to recycling. As wind power rapidly develops and deployment increases, these impacts are becoming increasingly evident.A comprehensive understanding of these impacts is crucial for sustainable development.Based on the harmonization of previous detailed life cycle assessment(LCA)studies, this study develops a simplified LCA model that estimates the life cycle environmental impacts of wind turbines based on their nominal power.Using this simplified LCA model,we assess the global warming potential(GWP),acidification potential(AP),and cumulative energy demand(CED)of wind power at the regional scale for 2022 and under three future scenarios(high-power wind turbine promotion, reduced wind curtailment, and a comprehensive development scenario). The results indicate that in 2022,the life cycle GWP,AP,and CED of wind power in western China were 10.76 g CO_(2) eq/kWh,0.177 g SO_(2) eq/kWh,and 17.6 kJ/kWh,respectively.Scenario simulations suggest that reducing wind curtailment is the most effective approach for reducing emissions in Inner Mongolia,Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia, and Xinjiang, producing average decreases of 8.64%in GWP,8.39%in AP,and 9.26%in CED.In contrast, for Guangxi,Chongqing,Sichuan,Guizhou,Yunnan,Xizang, and Shaanxi, the promotion of high-power wind turbines provides greater environmental benefits than reducing curtailment, producing average decreases of 3.45%,3.09%,and 4.29%in GWP,AP,and CED,respectively. These findings help clarify the environmental impact of wind power across its life cycle at the regional scale and provide theoretical references for the direction of future wind power development and the formulation of related policies.

文摘Investigating effect of recrystallization mechanism on deformation mode and texture evolution is conducive to controlling deformation mechanism and texture in magnesium alloys under medium-high temperature impact loading. In the present study,a Johnson-Cook model incorporating twin strengthening was established to simulate macro-deformation,and a twinning induced recrystallization(TDRX)model and bulging recrystallization(GBBDRX)model are introduced into visco-plastic self consistant(VPSC)framework to quantitatively study the deformation mechanism of pre-twinned AZ31 magnesium alloy during medium-high temperature impact loading. Both TDRX and GBBDRX occur, with basal slip as the dominant slip system, followed by pyramidal〈c+a〉slip and prismatic slip. The dynamic recrystallization(DRX)significantly influences basal and pyramidal〈c+a〉slip systems, with minimal impact on secondary deformation mechanism. In addition, the recrystallization mechanism of grain boundary bowing increases the activity of basal slip and decreases the activity of pyramidal〈c+a〉slip. The nucleation and growth of recrystallized grains enhance basal slip activity and suppress pyramidal〈c+a〉slip, leading to the formation of a strong basal texture. As dynamic recrystallization progresses,a bimodal texture develops, characterized by a reduction in basal component pole density and a more pronounced basal slip.
文摘This study investigates the performance of high-strength cable bolts under impact loading conditions representative of rock bursts in underground environments.Although widely used, the dynamic behaviour of these cable bolts has received limited experimental attention, and their effectiveness in seismically active zones remains a subject of ongoing debate. To address this gap,a reverse pull-out test machine integrated with a drop hammer rig was employed.Tests were conducted on 70-t SUMO bulbed and non-bulbed cable bolts with encapsulation lengths of 300 and 450 mm,subjected to an impact energy of 14.52 k J.Results indicate that non-bulbed cables, despite showing lower initial peak loads(average 218 vs.328 k N for bulbed cables at 300 mm encapsulation),demonstrated superior energy absorption(average 11.26 vs.8.75 k J)and displacement capacity(average 48.40 vs.36.25 mm).Increasing the encapsulation length for bulbed cables led to a reduction in initial peak load but improved displacement and energy absorption. The dominant failure mechanism was debonding at the cable-grout interface, characterised by frictional sliding and cable rotation. These findings provide new insights into the energy dissipation mechanisms of cables and support the development of more resilient ground support systems for dynamically active conditions.

文摘To elucidate the accelerated degradation mechanisms of metallic interconnects in operational solid oxide fuel cells, the oxidation behavior of FSS430 ferritic stainless steel under the coupling of simultaneous electrical current and high-temperature exposure is investigated.Isothermal thermogravimetric analysis was employed to quantify oxidation kinetics, complemented by microstructural characterization using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Experimental results demonstrate that the applied current dramatically enhances oxidation rates, increasing specific mass gain from 0.25 mg/cm^(2)(0 A/cm^(2))to 5.20 mg/cm^(2)(0.2 A/cm^(2))and oxide scale thickness from 1.87 to 15.62μm after 200 h.This acceleration originates from current-induced electromigration forces that promote cationic transport through the oxide layer. The quantitative relationships between current density and oxidation parameters are established, enabling predictive modeling of interconnector degradation in solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)systems.

文摘The influence of different solution and aging conditions on the microstructure, impact toughness, and crack initiation and propagation mechanisms of the novel α+β titanium alloy Ti6422 was systematically investigated.By adjusting the furnace cooling time after solution treatment and the aging temperature,Ti6422 alloy samples were developed with a multi-level lamellar microstructure,in-cluding microscaleαcolonies and α_(p) lamellae,as well as nanoscale α_(s) phases.Extending the furnace cooling time after solution treatment at 920℃ for 1 h from 240 to 540 min, followed by aging at 600℃ for 6 h,increased the α_(p) lamella content, reduced the α_(s) phase content, expanded theαcolonies and α_(p) lamellae size, and improved the impact toughness from 22.7 to 53.8 J/cm^(2).Additionally,under the same solution treatment, raising the aging temperature from 500 to 700℃ resulted in a decrease in the α_(s) phase content and a growth in the thickness of the α_(p) lamella and α_(s) phase. The impact toughness increased significantly with these changes.Samples with high α_(p) lamellae content or large α_(s) phase size exhibited high crack initiation and propagation energies.Impact deformation caused severe kinking of the α_(p) lamellae in crack initiation and propagation areas, leading to a uniform and high-density kernel average misorientation(KAM)distribu-tion,enhancing plastic deformation coordination and uniformity. Moreover, the multidirectional arrangement of coarserαcolonies and α_(p) lamellae continuously deflect the crack propagation direction, inhibiting crack propagation.
