We demonstrate a multi-method approach towards discovering and structuring sustainability transition knowl edge in marginalized mountain regions.By employing reflective thinking,artificial intelligence(AI)-powered tex...We demonstrate a multi-method approach towards discovering and structuring sustainability transition knowl edge in marginalized mountain regions.By employing reflective thinking,artificial intelligence(AI)-powered text summarization and text mining,we synthesize experts’narratives on sustainable development challenges and solutions in Kardüz Upland,Türkiye.We then analyze their alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)using document embedding.Investment in infrastructure,education,and resilient socio-ecological systems emerged as priority sectors to combat poor infrastructure,geographic isolation,climate change,poverty,depopulation,unemployment,low education levels,and inadequate social services.The narratives were closest in substance to SDG 1,3,and 11.Social dimensions of sustainability were more pronounced than environmental dimensions.The presented approach supports policymakers in organizing loosely structured sustainability tran sition knowledge and fragmented data corpora,while also advancing AI applications for designing and planning sustainable development policies at the regional level.展开更多
This study analyzed the difference between using a downward breaststroke kick and a horizontal breaststroke kick in a sample of world class elite swimmers.We compared average muscle activity of the gluteus maximus,qua...This study analyzed the difference between using a downward breaststroke kick and a horizontal breaststroke kick in a sample of world class elite swimmers.We compared average muscle activity of the gluteus maximus,quadriceps femoris(vastus medialis and rectus femoris),hamstring/long head of the biceps femoris,gastrocnemius medialis,rectus abdominal,and erector spinae when using the downward breaststroke kick technique.We find that when this sample of swimmers utilized the downward breaststroke kick,max speed and velocity per stroke increased,measured by 12,788 EMG samples,where the results are highly correlated to duration of the aerodynamic buoyant force in breaststroke kick technique.The increases in performance observed from measuring the world class elite swimmers is highly correlated to the duration of the kick aerodynamic buoyant force.Among this sample of elite swimmers,the longer a swimmer demonstrates a buoyant force breaststroke kick,the lower the time in a 100 breaststroke.展开更多
In the Freudian-Lacanian field,there is an important distinction between knowledge and truth.The truth,of an unconscious nature,is something that inhabits us,directs us,but that escapes us.Knowledge,in turn,is somethi...In the Freudian-Lacanian field,there is an important distinction between knowledge and truth.The truth,of an unconscious nature,is something that inhabits us,directs us,but that escapes us.Knowledge,in turn,is something to be invented,from the hole of the Real,the Unconscious truth,and the subjective experience.The relationships between playing,creating,and fantasizing;the dimension of the uncanny,fiction,and imagination in subjectivity;the invention of knowledge of oneself,derived from the pains and flavors of being who one is,are creative dimensions that inhabit the subject,permeate the analytical act,and transversalize psychoanalysis.In the practice,we listen to and witness processes of analysis that awaken an invention/reinvention of oneself,in the process of remembering,repeating,and elaborating,but also in what the transference relationship summons.Knowledge of oneself,does not guarantee a life without mishaps,sadness,and illusions,but allows the invention and recognition of knowledge and a style.The concept of Sinthome(2007),coined by Jacques Lacan,comes in the wake of the processes of self-invention and is a knowing-doing with the symptom,with the paradoxes of joyful suffering,producing,as a result,an art of saying.Therefore,in this communication,I will articulate elements of theory,practice,and psychoanalytic experience that allow us to expand knowledge of the themes of invention and imagination articulated with the concept of sinthome,their relationships with subjectivity,and the direction of psychoanalytic treatment.展开更多

Objective To preliminarily observe the effects of cupping on localized skin temperature of patients with back pain.Methods A total of 43 patients with back pain were included in this study.They were treated with mediu...Objective To preliminarily observe the effects of cupping on localized skin temperature of patients with back pain.Methods A total of 43 patients with back pain were included in this study.They were treated with medium-sized cups with a volume of 260 mL The randomly selected Xinshu（心俞 BL 15）on one side（37 cases） was given cupping treatment while that on the other side as the control.And Shenshu（肾俞 BL 23）（6 cases） was treated in the same way.The thermal infrared imager was used to record the changes in localized skin temperature before and after cupping（for 10 minutes）,and then comparison was made with that of the control side.Results After cupping,the localized skin temperature fell and then rose.When the cup was removed after retaining for 10 minutes,the localized skin temperature was（0.4±0.9） ℃（P=0.004） lower than that before cupping;10 minutes after cupping off,the localized skin temperature was（0.4±1.1） ℃（P=0.016） higher than that before cupping while（0.8±0.9） ℃ higher than that when cupping off.The skin surface temperature on the control side declined steadily.Conclusion After cupping treatment,the localized skin temperature fell and then rose while that of the control side declined steadily.It might be related to therapeutic effects.展开更多
