AIM: To delineate the different imaging characteristics of uveal schwannoma from melanoma and discuss the optimal treatment strategy for intraocular schwannoma.METHODS: Case series of three patients diagnosed with int...AIM: To delineate the different imaging characteristics of uveal schwannoma from melanoma and discuss the optimal treatment strategy for intraocular schwannoma.METHODS: Case series of three patients diagnosed with intraocular schwannoma was collected at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Guangzhou, China from July 2014 to December 2020.All the study patients underwent ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).The clinical features, therapeutic strategies, and prognoses of all patients were reviewed.RESULTS: Ultrasonography of all three patients(all females, mean age, 39y, age range, 23-54y) showed low to medium reflectivity with a homogeneous internal structure.MRI of all three patients demonstrated isointensity on T1-weighted imaging spin-echo(T1WI SE) images and hypointense on fast spin-echo T2-weighted images(FSE T2WI) images with respect to the brain.Minimally invasive pars plana vitrectomy(PPV) and local resection of the tumor was performed for all patients, and the diagnosis of schwannoma was confirmed by histopathological examination.CONCLUSION: The present study indicates that ultrasonography and MRI features of uveal schwannoma may contribute to the differentiation of uveal schwannoma from melanoma, and the optimal therapy for intraocular schwannoma is minimally invasive PPV and local resection.展开更多

BACKGROUND:Traumatic aortic dissection(TAD)has a low incidence but extremely high mortality.It always presents atypical clinical manifestations that are easily missed or misdiagnosed.This study mainly aims to describe...BACKGROUND:Traumatic aortic dissection(TAD)has a low incidence but extremely high mortality.It always presents atypical clinical manifestations that are easily missed or misdiagnosed.This study mainly aims to describe the imaging characteristics and management of TAD patients.METHODS:A retrospective analysis of 27 blunt TAD patients was performed between 2013 and 2020.Demographic features,imaging characteristics,and management were analyzed.RESULTS:Twenty-seven patients with type B aortic dissection(age 56.04±16.07 years,20 men)were included.Aortic intimal tears were mostly initiated from the aortic isthmus.The sizes of the proximal intimal tears in the greater curvature were larger than those in the lesser curvature(1.78±0.56 cm vs.1.24±0.52 cm,P=0.031).Compared with those in the control group,the maximum diameters of the aortic arch,thoracic aorta,and abdominal aorta in the TAD patients were all significantly widened(all P<0.050).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the maximum diameter of the thoracic aorta was an independent risk factor for TAD,with a predictive value with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of 0.673.Finally,26 patients successfully underwent delayed thoracic endovascular aortic repair(TEVAR),and the remaining one patient was treated conservatively.No progression of aortic dissection or death occurred during the six-month follow-up period.CONCLUSIONS:In blunt trauma,the aortic isthmus is the most common site of proximal intimal tears.An accurate diagnosis of TAD requires an overall consideration of medical history and imaging characteristics.Delayed TEVAR might be an eff ective therapeutic option for TAD.展开更多
Objective:To explore the imaging characteristics changes of pulmonary infections in patients with hypo-immunity and analyze the correlation between NLR,PCT levels and their severity.Methods:This study included 80 pati...Objective:To explore the imaging characteristics changes of pulmonary infections in patients with hypo-immunity and analyze the correlation between NLR,PCT levels and their severity.Methods:This study included 80 patients with hypo-immunity and pulmonary infections who were diagnosed and treated at our hospital from October 2022 to October 2024.Imaging examinations were performed on the patients.Subsequently,the patients were divided into a severe group and a mild group based on the severity of their disease.Univariate analysis was conducted,and variables with statistical significance from the univariate analysis were included in a multivariate logistic regression analysis to clarify the correlation between plasma NLR,PCT levels,and their severity.Results:Imaging examinations revealed that ground-glass opacities in the lungs were centered around the hilum,with patchy or map-like distributions accompanied by reticular shadows.The affected areas and normal lung areas were interspersed,with a tendency to merge.Some patients also developed pneumothorax.Ground-glass opacities were the most characteristic manifestation,which could also present as reticular shadows,interstitial thickening,miliary shadows,multiple small nodules,intrathoracic lymphadenopathy,and a small amount of pleural effusion.In the correlation analysis,NLR and PCT were statistically significant in the univariate analysis(p<0.05).When included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis,NLR(OR=2.846,95%CI:2.402-3.358)and PCT(OR=1.958,95%CI:1.554-2.601)were found to be positively correlated with the severity of pulmonary infections in patients with hypo-immunity.Conclusion:The imaging manifestations of patients with impaired immune function are complex and diverse,primarily including patchy,linear,massive,cavitary,and diffuse lesions,among other forms.These manifestations not only assist physicians in identifying the presence of pulmonary infections but also provide crucial information for diagnosing the type,severity,and complications of the infections.The levels of NLR(Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio)and PCT(Procalcitonin)exhibit a positive correlation with the severity of pulmonary infections in patients with impaired immune function,warranting significant attention.展开更多

Results: the pathological examination results of 40 patients suspected early lung cancer were 30 malignant, 10 benign, 64 spiral CT showed malignant, 11 benign, 64 layers of spiral CT was 97.50%, 96.67%, specificity was 100.00%;64 spiral CT confirmed malignant cases, deep segmentation, fine spur, spike, the detection rate of vascular tract collection and vacuolar signs was higher than that in benign cases. Blood flow, permeability, blood volume, and mean passage time CT perfusion parameters were higher than benign cases, and the difference was all statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: the 64-layer spiral CT imaging features, fine burr features and spike features are common in the initial diagnosis of early lung cancer patients, and the blood flow, permeability and blood volume are at high levels, which can provide a practical basis for the differentiation between disease diagnosis and benign and malignant.展开更多

With the regional trial results in Baoying, Jiangsu province, this paper explored the fusion model and effect of ENVISAT/SAR and HJ-1A satel ite multispectral remote sensing images. Based on the ARSIS strat-egy, using the wavelet transform and the Interaction between the Band Structure Model (IBSM), the research progressed the ENVISAT satel ite SAR and the HJ-1A satel ite CCD images wavelet decomposition, and low/high frequency coefficient re-construction, and obtained the fusion images through the inverse wavelet transform. In the light of low and high-frequency images have different characteristics in differ-ent areas, different fusion rules which can enhance the integration process of self-adaptive were taken, with comparisons with the PCA transformation, IHS transfor-mation and other traditional methods by subjective and the corresponding quantita-tive evaluation. Furthermore, the research extracted the bands and NDVI values around the fusion with GPS samples, analyzed and explained the fusion effect. The results showed that the spectral distortion of wavelet fusion, IHS transform, PCA transform images was 0.101 6, 0.326 1 and 1.277 2, respectively and entropy was 14.701 5, 11.899 3 and 13.229 3, respectively, the wavelet fusion is the highest. The method of wavelet maintained good spectral capability, and visual effects while improved the spatial resolution, the information interpretation effect was much better than other two methods.展开更多

The mortality rate was as high as 80% in the ...BACKGROUND: Bacterial hepatic abscess usually is acute and progressive, often resulting in sepsis, impairment of liver function and disseminated intravascular coagulation. The mortality rate was as high as 80% in the past. For the purpose of early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of this disease, we probed the imaging manifestations and their characteristics in bacterial hepatic abscesses by CT scan. METHODS: Twenty-four lesions from 21 patients with bacterial hepatic abscesses that were confirmed by clinical features, puncture and culture were reviewed for CT manifestations. Fourteen patients were male and 7 were female, with an average age of 56.2 years. All lesions underwent CT plain scan and three-phase enhanced scan and 15 patients underwent delayed-phase imaging. Three senior radiologists read the films in accordance with a standard. RESULTS: Among 24 lesions, 18 (75%) were situated in the right liver with diameters of 1.4-9.3 cm (average 4.5 cm). Nineteen (79.2%) lesions were round or sub-round in shape, and 22 (91.7%) had smooth, uninterrupted and sharp edges. All lesions showed low attenuation of less than 20 Hu. Twenty-two enhanced lesions (91.7%) had rim-shaped enhancement in the abscess wall, and 13 (54.2%) showed single or double-ring signs. Eighteen (75%) displayed honeycomb-like, grid-like or strip-like enhancement. Eighteen (75%) were regionally enhanced in the surroundings or upper or lower layers. Only 2 (8.3%) displayed a gas-liquid surface sign. CONCLUSIONS: The CT findings of bacterial hepatic abscess are usually typical, and the diagnosis of the abscess is not difficult. To precisely diagnose atypical cases, it is necessary to combine CT with clinical observations and follow-up.展开更多
BACKGROUND Deep Sylvian meningiomas are rare and difficult to diagnose when small tumours lead to various symptoms.The difficulty associated with surgery is underestimated.Our case involved a mass(11 mm×12 mm...BACKGROUND Deep Sylvian meningiomas are rare and difficult to diagnose when small tumours lead to various symptoms.The difficulty associated with surgery is underestimated.Our case involved a mass(11 mm×12 mm×12 mm in size)in the right Sylvian fissure.It is the smallest deep Sylvian meningioma known and might be more easily misdiagnosed than previous examples.CASE SUMMARY A well-enhanced mass in the right Sylvian fissure of a 26-year-old male with a three-month history of seizure was identified via magnetic resonance imaging.The patient underwent operations twice for seizure control.During the first operation,the tumour was surrounded by the second segment of the middle cerebral artery and its numerous perforators.Partial resection had to be selected due to mild arterial damage.After the first operation,the patient presented with simple partial seizure.During reoperation,we isolated the anatomical structure near the tumour and the tumour over and removed it from its dorsal side by piecemeal resection.CONCLUSION This case reported the smallest deep Sylvian meningioma according to a literature review.Preoperative diagnosis is a crucial step due to deep Sylvian meningioma firmly adhering to the middle cerebral artery and its perforators.Adequate preparation is crucial to ensure the success of surgery.展开更多

All pati...Objective: to analyze the effect of transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine malformation. Methods: a total of 100 patients with suspected uterine malformations were investigated. All patients were admitted to the group from February 2018 to March 2022. All patients underwent hysteroscopy, two-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound and three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound. Taking hysteroscopy as the gold standard, the accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of different methods were compared, and the characteristics of three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound imaging were analyzed. Results: in all patients, hysteroscopy, two-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound and three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound showed 70, 44 and 66 cases of uterine malformation, respectively, and 30, 56 and 34 cases of non-uterine malformation were detected. The sensitivity of three-dimensional ultrasound was 94.29%(66/70), and that of two-dimensional ultrasound was 62.86%(44/70). The specificity of the two methods was 100%(30/30), and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). The accuracy of three-dimensional ultrasound examination was 96%(96 cases), and that of two-dimensional ultrasound examination was 74%(74 cases). There was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: compared with two-dimensional ultrasound, transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound has higher accuracy and sensitivity in the diagnosis of uterine malformation, clear imaging, and can be used to judge the specific manifestations of uterine malformation. It has a positive effect on the clinical treatment of diseases, so it is recommended to be popularized.展开更多

The system consists of a hardware subsystem, including a rotating device, CCD, 16 mm focus lens, a frame grabber card, a penetrating lighting and a computer, and a software subsystem. The software subsystem performs pretreatment, character segmentation and character recognition. In the pretreatment, the original image is filtered with preset threshold to remove isolated spots. Then the horizontal projection and the vertical projection are used respectively to retrieve the character segmentation. Subsequently, the configuration characteristic algorithm is applied to recognize the characters. The experimental results demonstrate that this system can recognize the characters on beer bottles accurately and effectively; the algorithm is proven fast, stable and robust, making it suitable in the industrial environment.展开更多

The water content of leaves is 10% to 20%lower than the background value. The cells of leaves are deformed and broken. The leaf surface shows colourspots and becomes yellow or dark green. The spectral reflectance of the leaf surface is 5%-30% higher than thebackground value: the spectral shape has shifted 5-15 nm to the short wavelength. The gray scales of eanopyon images of Landsat TM and airborne imaging scanner (AIS) are 10%-100% higher than the backgroundvalues. On Landsat TM and AIS false colour images, plants poisoned by gold display a yellow color, whichdisinguishes them from background plants. Because of their complex community structu...Accurate, updated information on the distribution of wetlands is essential for estimating net fluxes of greenhouse gases and for effectively protecting and managing wetlands. Because of their complex community structure and rich surface vegetation, deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps are considered to be one of the most difficult types of wetland to classify. In this research, with the support of remote sensing and geographic information system, multi-temporal radar images L-Palsar were used initially to extract the forest hydrological layer and phenology phase change layer as two variables through image analysis. Second, based on the environmental characteristics of forested swamps, three decision tree classifiers derived from the two variables were constructed to explore effective methods to identify deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps. Third, this study focused on analyzing the classification process between flat-forests, which are the most severely disturbed elements, and forested swamps. Finally, the application of the decision tree model will be discussed. The results showed that: 1) L-HH band(a L band with wavelength of 0–235 m in HH polarization mode; HH means Synthetic Aperture Radars transmit pulses in horizontal polarization and receive in horizontal polarization) in the leaf-off season is shown to be capable of detecting hydrologic conditions beneath the forest; 2) the accuracy of the classification(forested swamp and forest plat) was 81.5% based on hydrologic features, and 83.5% was achieved by combining hydrologic features and phenology response features, which indicated that hydrological characteristics under the forest played a key role. The HHOJ(refers to the band created by the subtraction with HH band in October and HH band in July) achieved by multi-temporal radar images did improve the classification accuracy, but not significantly, and more leaf-off radar images may be more efficient than multi-seasonal radar images for inland forested swamp mapping; 3) the lower separability between forested swamps dominated by vegetated surfaces and forest plat covered with litter was the main cause of the uncertainty in classification, which led to misleading interpretations of the pixel-based classification. Finally, through the analysis with kappa coefficients, it was shown that the value of the intersection point was an ideal choice for the variable.展开更多
Various computed tomography(CT)appearances of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)were associated with different prognosis and the patients with large intracranial hematoma will have adverse outcomes,but no in-depth...Various computed tomography(CT)appearances of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)were associated with different prognosis and the patients with large intracranial hematoma will have adverse outcomes,but no in-depth study of non-contrast CT image appearances was carried out.We aimed to test the hypothesis that non-contrast CT image characteristics on admission are associated with and predict the outcome of CVST at 3 months.Methods:Three hundred and six patients with CVST between 2008 and 2017 were col ected.Age,sex,onset of CVST(acute,subacute,or chronic),etiology,clinical manifestations,midline shift,occluded venous sinus,location of infarction,non-contrast CT image characteristics,and the 3-month outcome were recorded.In addition,we established a non-contrast CT image-based classification and grading system to test the hypothesis;the CVST patients were classified into four grades(namely non-contrast CT image-based classification):grade I,no obvious abnormality;grade II,simple vein infarction without hemorrhage or with subarachnoid hemorrhage;grade II,cerebral venous infarction with subarachnoid hemorrhage;and grade IV,cerebral vein infarction with hematoma.Al enrolled patients had received subcutaneous injections of low molecular weight heparin subcutaneous injection for 14 days.Thereafter,oral anticoagulant therapy with warfarin was continued.Patients with epilepsy were given antiepileptic drugs,and patients with cerebral herniation received decompressive craniotomy.Results:Our observational findings revealed that midline shift(>5 mm),location of lesion(frontal lobe and temporal lobe),and cerebral venous infarction with subarachnoid or hematoma(grade II and IV)were associated with 3-month poor outcome(p<0.05);the respective increased risks were 12.730[risk ratio(RR)12.730,95%confidence interval(CI)1.680–96.490,p=0.014],46.538(RR 146.538,95%CI 6.222–348.079,p=0.000),32.549(RR 32.549,95%CI 2.180–486.104,p=0.012),37.725(RR 37.725,95%CI 2.051–693.778,p=0.015),and 93.164-fold(RR 93.164,95%CI 11.137–779.328,p=0.000).However,seizure,hemiplegia,location of occluded venous sinus(super sagittal sinus and deep venous systems),location of infarction(parietal lobe),and non-contrast CT image-based classification(I)were not correlated with the adverse outcome(p>0.05).Conclusions:Our findings suggested that non-contrast CT image characteristics on admission were associated with and predict the 3-month outcome of CVST.However,the ultimate conclusions need to be confirmed by a large sample of CVST patients at multiple institutions.展开更多

文摘Internal solitary waves(ISWs)change the roughness of the sea surface,thus producing dark and bright bands in optical images.However,reasons for changes in imaging characteristics with the solar zenith angle remain unclear.In this paper,the optical imaging pattern of ISWs in sunglint under different zenith angles of the light source is investigated by collecting optical images of ISWs through physical simulation.The experiment involves setting 10 zenith angles of the light source,which are divided into area a the optical images of ISWs in the three areas show dark-bright mode,single bright band,and bright-dark mode,which are consistent with those observed by optical remote sensing.In addition,this study analyzed the percentage of the dark and bright areas of the bands and the change in the relative gray difference and found changes in both areas under different zenith angles of the light source.The MODIS and ASAR images display a similar brightness-darkness distance of the same ISWs.Therefore,the relationship between the brightness-darkness distance and the characteristic half-width of ISWs is determined in accordance with the eKdV theory and the imaging mechanism of ISWs of the SAR image.Overall,the relationship between them in the experiment is almost consistent with the theoretical result.

文摘AIM: To delineate the different imaging characteristics of uveal schwannoma from melanoma and discuss the optimal treatment strategy for intraocular schwannoma.METHODS: Case series of three patients diagnosed with intraocular schwannoma was collected at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Guangzhou, China from July 2014 to December 2020.All the study patients underwent ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).The clinical features, therapeutic strategies, and prognoses of all patients were reviewed.RESULTS: Ultrasonography of all three patients(all females, mean age, 39y, age range, 23-54y) showed low to medium reflectivity with a homogeneous internal structure.MRI of all three patients demonstrated isointensity on T1-weighted imaging spin-echo(T1WI SE) images and hypointense on fast spin-echo T2-weighted images(FSE T2WI) images with respect to the brain.Minimally invasive pars plana vitrectomy(PPV) and local resection of the tumor was performed for all patients, and the diagnosis of schwannoma was confirmed by histopathological examination.CONCLUSION: The present study indicates that ultrasonography and MRI features of uveal schwannoma may contribute to the differentiation of uveal schwannoma from melanoma, and the optimal therapy for intraocular schwannoma is minimally invasive PPV and local resection.
文摘Angiomyolipoma (AML) is a benign mesenchymal tumor that has been frequently reported in the kidney but rarely in the liver. AML is composed of fat, vascular, and smooth muscle elements. Because the proportion of the constituents composed of AML are varied, hepatic AML may be clinically, radiologically and morphologically difficult to distinguish from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or other hepatic lesions. Here we report a case with pathologically confirmed hepatic AML who was previously diagnosed as HCC based on imaging examinations.
文摘Adenomyosis and hysteromyoma are common gynecological diseases in clinic, which can occur in adolescent women and perimenopausal women. Especially, women aged between 30 and 50 years old are high-risk groups. In general, the clinical symptoms of patients with adenomyosis are mainly manifested as increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, and increased dysmenorrhea. At present, the disease of uterine glands is also one of the important causes of female infertility. The clinical manifestations of hysteromyoma are very similar to those of uterine gland diseases, especially when ultrasonic examination is performed. It is easy to be confused. In this study, the imaging characteristics of adenomyosis and hysteromyoma in ultrasonic examination were analyzed in depth and the differential value of ultrasonic examination was summarized.

文摘BACKGROUND:Traumatic aortic dissection(TAD)has a low incidence but extremely high mortality.It always presents atypical clinical manifestations that are easily missed or misdiagnosed.This study mainly aims to describe the imaging characteristics and management of TAD patients.METHODS:A retrospective analysis of 27 blunt TAD patients was performed between 2013 and 2020.Demographic features,imaging characteristics,and management were analyzed.RESULTS:Twenty-seven patients with type B aortic dissection(age 56.04±16.07 years,20 men)were included.Aortic intimal tears were mostly initiated from the aortic isthmus.The sizes of the proximal intimal tears in the greater curvature were larger than those in the lesser curvature(1.78±0.56 cm vs.1.24±0.52 cm,P=0.031).Compared with those in the control group,the maximum diameters of the aortic arch,thoracic aorta,and abdominal aorta in the TAD patients were all significantly widened(all P<0.050).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the maximum diameter of the thoracic aorta was an independent risk factor for TAD,with a predictive value with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of 0.673.Finally,26 patients successfully underwent delayed thoracic endovascular aortic repair(TEVAR),and the remaining one patient was treated conservatively.No progression of aortic dissection or death occurred during the six-month follow-up period.CONCLUSIONS:In blunt trauma,the aortic isthmus is the most common site of proximal intimal tears.An accurate diagnosis of TAD requires an overall consideration of medical history and imaging characteristics.Delayed TEVAR might be an eff ective therapeutic option for TAD.

文摘Objective:To explore the imaging characteristics changes of pulmonary infections in patients with hypo-immunity and analyze the correlation between NLR,PCT levels and their severity.Methods:This study included 80 patients with hypo-immunity and pulmonary infections who were diagnosed and treated at our hospital from October 2022 to October 2024.Imaging examinations were performed on the patients.Subsequently,the patients were divided into a severe group and a mild group based on the severity of their disease.Univariate analysis was conducted,and variables with statistical significance from the univariate analysis were included in a multivariate logistic regression analysis to clarify the correlation between plasma NLR,PCT levels,and their severity.Results:Imaging examinations revealed that ground-glass opacities in the lungs were centered around the hilum,with patchy or map-like distributions accompanied by reticular shadows.The affected areas and normal lung areas were interspersed,with a tendency to merge.Some patients also developed pneumothorax.Ground-glass opacities were the most characteristic manifestation,which could also present as reticular shadows,interstitial thickening,miliary shadows,multiple small nodules,intrathoracic lymphadenopathy,and a small amount of pleural effusion.In the correlation analysis,NLR and PCT were statistically significant in the univariate analysis(p<0.05).When included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis,NLR(OR=2.846,95%CI:2.402-3.358)and PCT(OR=1.958,95%CI:1.554-2.601)were found to be positively correlated with the severity of pulmonary infections in patients with hypo-immunity.Conclusion:The imaging manifestations of patients with impaired immune function are complex and diverse,primarily including patchy,linear,massive,cavitary,and diffuse lesions,among other forms.These manifestations not only assist physicians in identifying the presence of pulmonary infections but also provide crucial information for diagnosing the type,severity,and complications of the infections.The levels of NLR(Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio)and PCT(Procalcitonin)exhibit a positive correlation with the severity of pulmonary infections in patients with impaired immune function,warranting significant attention.
文摘Objective: to study the characteristics and application of spiral CT in early lung cancer. Methods: from January 2020 to November 2021, 40 patients of suspected early lung cancer, all received 64 spiral CT scan and pathological examination, referring to the diagnostic value of 64 layers of spiral CT, and the characteristics of 64 spiral CT imaging and CT of early lung cancer cases with CT perfusion parameters. Results: the pathological examination results of 40 patients suspected early lung cancer were 30 malignant, 10 benign, 64 spiral CT showed malignant, 11 benign, 64 layers of spiral CT was 97.50%, 96.67%, specificity was 100.00%;64 spiral CT confirmed malignant cases, deep segmentation, fine spur, spike, the detection rate of vascular tract collection and vacuolar signs was higher than that in benign cases. Blood flow, permeability, blood volume, and mean passage time CT perfusion parameters were higher than benign cases, and the difference was all statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: the 64-layer spiral CT imaging features, fine burr features and spike features are common in the initial diagnosis of early lung cancer patients, and the blood flow, permeability and blood volume are at high levels, which can provide a practical basis for the differentiation between disease diagnosis and benign and malignant.

文摘This work is aimed at developing an effective method for defect recognition in thermosonic imaging.The heat mechanism of thermosonic imaging is introduced,and the problem for defect recognition is discussed.For this purpose,defect existing in the inner wall of a metal pipeline specimen and defects embedded in a carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) laminate are tested.The experimental data are processed by pulse phase thermography(PPT) method to show the phase images at different frequencies,and the characteristic of phase angle vs frequency curve of thermal anomalies and sound area is analyzed.A binary image,which is based on the characteristic value of defects,is obtained by a new recognition algorithm to show the defects.Results demonstrate good defect recognition performance for thermosonic imaging,and the reliability of this technique can be improved by the method.

文摘Because of cloudy and rainy weather in south China, optical remote sens-ing images often can't be obtained easily. With the regional trial results in Baoying, Jiangsu province, this paper explored the fusion model and effect of ENVISAT/SAR and HJ-1A satel ite multispectral remote sensing images. Based on the ARSIS strat-egy, using the wavelet transform and the Interaction between the Band Structure Model (IBSM), the research progressed the ENVISAT satel ite SAR and the HJ-1A satel ite CCD images wavelet decomposition, and low/high frequency coefficient re-construction, and obtained the fusion images through the inverse wavelet transform. In the light of low and high-frequency images have different characteristics in differ-ent areas, different fusion rules which can enhance the integration process of self-adaptive were taken, with comparisons with the PCA transformation, IHS transfor-mation and other traditional methods by subjective and the corresponding quantita-tive evaluation. Furthermore, the research extracted the bands and NDVI values around the fusion with GPS samples, analyzed and explained the fusion effect. The results showed that the spectral distortion of wavelet fusion, IHS transform, PCA transform images was 0.101 6, 0.326 1 and 1.277 2, respectively and entropy was 14.701 5, 11.899 3 and 13.229 3, respectively, the wavelet fusion is the highest. The method of wavelet maintained good spectral capability, and visual effects while improved the spatial resolution, the information interpretation effect was much better than other two methods.

文摘BACKGROUND: Bacterial hepatic abscess usually is acute and progressive, often resulting in sepsis, impairment of liver function and disseminated intravascular coagulation. The mortality rate was as high as 80% in the past. For the purpose of early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of this disease, we probed the imaging manifestations and their characteristics in bacterial hepatic abscesses by CT scan. METHODS: Twenty-four lesions from 21 patients with bacterial hepatic abscesses that were confirmed by clinical features, puncture and culture were reviewed for CT manifestations. Fourteen patients were male and 7 were female, with an average age of 56.2 years. All lesions underwent CT plain scan and three-phase enhanced scan and 15 patients underwent delayed-phase imaging. Three senior radiologists read the films in accordance with a standard. RESULTS: Among 24 lesions, 18 (75%) were situated in the right liver with diameters of 1.4-9.3 cm (average 4.5 cm). Nineteen (79.2%) lesions were round or sub-round in shape, and 22 (91.7%) had smooth, uninterrupted and sharp edges. All lesions showed low attenuation of less than 20 Hu. Twenty-two enhanced lesions (91.7%) had rim-shaped enhancement in the abscess wall, and 13 (54.2%) showed single or double-ring signs. Eighteen (75%) displayed honeycomb-like, grid-like or strip-like enhancement. Eighteen (75%) were regionally enhanced in the surroundings or upper or lower layers. Only 2 (8.3%) displayed a gas-liquid surface sign. CONCLUSIONS: The CT findings of bacterial hepatic abscess are usually typical, and the diagnosis of the abscess is not difficult. To precisely diagnose atypical cases, it is necessary to combine CT with clinical observations and follow-up.

文摘BACKGROUND Deep Sylvian meningiomas are rare and difficult to diagnose when small tumours lead to various symptoms.The difficulty associated with surgery is underestimated.Our case involved a mass(11 mm×12 mm×12 mm in size)in the right Sylvian fissure.It is the smallest deep Sylvian meningioma known and might be more easily misdiagnosed than previous examples.CASE SUMMARY A well-enhanced mass in the right Sylvian fissure of a 26-year-old male with a three-month history of seizure was identified via magnetic resonance imaging.The patient underwent operations twice for seizure control.During the first operation,the tumour was surrounded by the second segment of the middle cerebral artery and its numerous perforators.Partial resection had to be selected due to mild arterial damage.After the first operation,the patient presented with simple partial seizure.During reoperation,we isolated the anatomical structure near the tumour and the tumour over and removed it from its dorsal side by piecemeal resection.CONCLUSION This case reported the smallest deep Sylvian meningioma according to a literature review.Preoperative diagnosis is a crucial step due to deep Sylvian meningioma firmly adhering to the middle cerebral artery and its perforators.Adequate preparation is crucial to ensure the success of surgery.
文摘Objective: to analyze the effect of transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine malformation. Methods: a total of 100 patients with suspected uterine malformations were investigated. All patients were admitted to the group from February 2018 to March 2022. All patients underwent hysteroscopy, two-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound and three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound. Taking hysteroscopy as the gold standard, the accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of different methods were compared, and the characteristics of three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound imaging were analyzed. Results: in all patients, hysteroscopy, two-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound and three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound showed 70, 44 and 66 cases of uterine malformation, respectively, and 30, 56 and 34 cases of non-uterine malformation were detected. The sensitivity of three-dimensional ultrasound was 94.29%(66/70), and that of two-dimensional ultrasound was 62.86%(44/70). The specificity of the two methods was 100%(30/30), and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). The accuracy of three-dimensional ultrasound examination was 96%(96 cases), and that of two-dimensional ultrasound examination was 74%(74 cases). There was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: compared with two-dimensional ultrasound, transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound has higher accuracy and sensitivity in the diagnosis of uterine malformation, clear imaging, and can be used to judge the specific manifestations of uterine malformation. It has a positive effect on the clinical treatment of diseases, so it is recommended to be popularized.

文摘To preserve the original signal as much as possible and filter random noises as many as possible in image processing,a threshold optimization-based adaptive template filtering algorithm was proposed.Unlike conventional filters whose template shapes and coefficients were fixed,multi-templates were defined and the right template for each pixel could be matched adaptively based on local image characteristics in the proposed method.The superiority of this method was verified by former results concerning the matching experiment of actual image with the comparison of conventional filtering methods.The adaptive search ability of immune genetic algorithm with the elitist selection and elitist crossover(IGAE) was used to optimize threshold t of the transformation function,and then combined with wavelet transformation to estimate noise variance.Multi-experiments were performed to test the validity of IGAE.The results show that the filtered result of t obtained by IGAE is superior to that of t obtained by other methods,IGAE has a faster convergence speed and a higher computational efficiency compared with the canonical genetic algorithm with the elitism and the immune algorithm with the information entropy and elitism by multi-experiments.

文摘An optical imaging system and a configuration characteristic algorithm are presented to reduce the difficulties in extracting intact characters image with weak contrast, in recognizing characters on fast moving beer bottles. The system consists of a hardware subsystem, including a rotating device, CCD, 16 mm focus lens, a frame grabber card, a penetrating lighting and a computer, and a software subsystem. The software subsystem performs pretreatment, character segmentation and character recognition. In the pretreatment, the original image is filtered with preset threshold to remove isolated spots. Then the horizontal projection and the vertical projection are used respectively to retrieve the character segmentation. Subsequently, the configuration characteristic algorithm is applied to recognize the characters. The experimental results demonstrate that this system can recognize the characters on beer bottles accurately and effectively; the algorithm is proven fast, stable and robust, making it suitable in the industrial environment.
文摘The vegetation has been poisoned by gold in the western Guangdong-Hainan region. The gold content ofthe leaves there is as high as 10-1961 times the abundance, the chlorophyll content is 10%-30% lower thanthat of the vegetation in metamorphic terrains and 10%-20% higher than that in granite terrains, and thecarotenoid content is 10%-44% lower than the background value. The water content of leaves is 10% to 20%lower than the background value. The cells of leaves are deformed and broken. The leaf surface shows colourspots and becomes yellow or dark green. The spectral reflectance of the leaf surface is 5%-30% higher than thebackground value: the spectral shape has shifted 5-15 nm to the short wavelength. The gray scales of eanopyon images of Landsat TM and airborne imaging scanner (AIS) are 10%-100% higher than the backgroundvalues. On Landsat TM and AIS false colour images, plants poisoned by gold display a yellow color, whichdisinguishes them from background plants. According to the spectral and image features of goldbiogeochemical effects, the author has constructed a gold information system and expert prediction system,and thus two gold target areas and two gold prospect areas have been identified rapidly, economically andaccurately in the western Guangdong-Hainan region which is extensively covered by vegetation.

文摘Accurate, updated information on the distribution of wetlands is essential for estimating net fluxes of greenhouse gases and for effectively protecting and managing wetlands. Because of their complex community structure and rich surface vegetation, deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps are considered to be one of the most difficult types of wetland to classify. In this research, with the support of remote sensing and geographic information system, multi-temporal radar images L-Palsar were used initially to extract the forest hydrological layer and phenology phase change layer as two variables through image analysis. Second, based on the environmental characteristics of forested swamps, three decision tree classifiers derived from the two variables were constructed to explore effective methods to identify deciduous broad-leaved forested swamps. Third, this study focused on analyzing the classification process between flat-forests, which are the most severely disturbed elements, and forested swamps. Finally, the application of the decision tree model will be discussed. The results showed that: 1) L-HH band(a L band with wavelength of 0–235 m in HH polarization mode; HH means Synthetic Aperture Radars transmit pulses in horizontal polarization and receive in horizontal polarization) in the leaf-off season is shown to be capable of detecting hydrologic conditions beneath the forest; 2) the accuracy of the classification(forested swamp and forest plat) was 81.5% based on hydrologic features, and 83.5% was achieved by combining hydrologic features and phenology response features, which indicated that hydrological characteristics under the forest played a key role. The HHOJ(refers to the band created by the subtraction with HH band in October and HH band in July) achieved by multi-temporal radar images did improve the classification accuracy, but not significantly, and more leaf-off radar images may be more efficient than multi-seasonal radar images for inland forested swamp mapping; 3) the lower separability between forested swamps dominated by vegetated surfaces and forest plat covered with litter was the main cause of the uncertainty in classification, which led to misleading interpretations of the pixel-based classification. Finally, through the analysis with kappa coefficients, it was shown that the value of the intersection point was an ideal choice for the variable.

文摘Various computed tomography(CT)appearances of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)were associated with different prognosis and the patients with large intracranial hematoma will have adverse outcomes,but no in-depth study of non-contrast CT image appearances was carried out.We aimed to test the hypothesis that non-contrast CT image characteristics on admission are associated with and predict the outcome of CVST at 3 months.Methods:Three hundred and six patients with CVST between 2008 and 2017 were col ected.Age,sex,onset of CVST(acute,subacute,or chronic),etiology,clinical manifestations,midline shift,occluded venous sinus,location of infarction,non-contrast CT image characteristics,and the 3-month outcome were recorded.In addition,we established a non-contrast CT image-based classification and grading system to test the hypothesis;the CVST patients were classified into four grades(namely non-contrast CT image-based classification):grade I,no obvious abnormality;grade II,simple vein infarction without hemorrhage or with subarachnoid hemorrhage;grade II,cerebral venous infarction with subarachnoid hemorrhage;and grade IV,cerebral vein infarction with hematoma.Al enrolled patients had received subcutaneous injections of low molecular weight heparin subcutaneous injection for 14 days.Thereafter,oral anticoagulant therapy with warfarin was continued.Patients with epilepsy were given antiepileptic drugs,and patients with cerebral herniation received decompressive craniotomy.Results:Our observational findings revealed that midline shift(>5 mm),location of lesion(frontal lobe and temporal lobe),and cerebral venous infarction with subarachnoid or hematoma(grade II and IV)were associated with 3-month poor outcome(p<0.05);the respective increased risks were 12.730[risk ratio(RR)12.730,95%confidence interval(CI)1.680–96.490,p=0.014],46.538(RR 146.538,95%CI 6.222–348.079,p=0.000),32.549(RR 32.549,95%CI 2.180–486.104,p=0.012),37.725(RR 37.725,95%CI 2.051–693.778,p=0.015),and 93.164-fold(RR 93.164,95%CI 11.137–779.328,p=0.000).However,seizure,hemiplegia,location of occluded venous sinus(super sagittal sinus and deep venous systems),location of infarction(parietal lobe),and non-contrast CT image-based classification(I)were not correlated with the adverse outcome(p>0.05).Conclusions:Our findings suggested that non-contrast CT image characteristics on admission were associated with and predict the 3-month outcome of CVST.However,the ultimate conclusions need to be confirmed by a large sample of CVST patients at multiple institutions.
