Implementation of Human-AI Interaction in Reinforcement Learning: Literature Review and Case Studies

Theintegration of human factors into artificial intelligence(AI)systems has emerged as a critical research frontier,particularly in reinforcement learning(RL),where human-AI interaction(HAII)presents both opportunities and challenges.As RL continues to demonstrate remarkable success in model-free and partially observable environments,its real-world deployment increasingly requires effective collaboration with human operators and stakeholders.This article systematically examines HAII techniques in RL through both theoretical analysis and practical case studies.We establish a conceptual framework built upon three fundamental pillars of effective human-AI collaboration:computational trust modeling,system usability,and decision understandability.Our comprehensive review organizes HAII methods into five key categories:(1)learning from human feedback,including various shaping approaches;(2)learning from human demonstration through inverse RL and imitation learning;(3)shared autonomy architectures for dynamic control allocation;(4)human-in-the-loop querying strategies for active learning;and(5)explainable RL techniques for interpretable policy generation.Recent state-of-the-art works are critically reviewed,with particular emphasis on advances incorporating large language models in human-AI interaction research.To illustrate some concepts,we present three detailed case studies:an empirical trust model for farmers adopting AI-driven agricultural management systems,the implementation of ethical constraints in roboticmotion planning through human-guided RL,and an experimental investigation of human trust dynamics using a multi-armed bandit paradigm.These applications demonstrate how HAII principles can enhance RL systems’practical utility while bridging the gap between theoretical RL and real-world human-centered applications,ultimately contributing to more deployable and socially beneficial intelligent systems. 展开更多

长沙市非急救转运患者安全与团队协作现状分析——基于TEAM量表的实证研究

目的探讨非急救转运过程中团队协作水平对患者安全与满意度的影响,为构建标准化转运管理体系提供依据。方法采用回顾性观察研究设计,选取2022年1月—2024年12月长沙市某非急救转运平台完成的750例转运任务。基于团队急救评估量表(TEAM)... 目的探讨非急救转运过程中团队协作水平对患者安全与满意度的影响,为构建标准化转运管理体系提供依据。方法采用回顾性观察研究设计,选取2022年1月—2024年12月长沙市某非急救转运平台完成的750例转运任务。基于团队急救评估量表(TEAM)评估转运团队的协作水平,结合客户满意度问卷-8(CSQ-8)评价患者满意度,并收集转运过程中的安全事件发生情况,分析其相关性。结果750例患者中,92.67%需实施心电监护,82.80%接受呼吸支持,13.87%使用血管活性药物。TEAM评分为(34.87±5.67)分,患者满意度3个核心维度11个条目均分3.17分,Q12全面评价评分为(6.93±2.03)分。CSQ-8患者满意度评分为(26.54±1.95)分,得分≥26分者占64.13%。TEAM总分与突发事件发生率呈负相关(r≈-0.583,P<0.001),与满意度评分呈正相关(r≈0.624,P<0.01)。结论非急救转运过程风险较高,高度依赖团队协作。良好的团队协作能力可显著降低安全事件发生率,提高患者满意度。建议加强非技术技能培训,构建以TEAM为基础的标准化转运流程与质量改进机制,以保障转运安全和服务质量。 展开更多

Transparency is a widely used but poorly defined term within the explainable artificial intelligence literature.This is due,in part,to the lack of an agreed definition and the overlap between the connected—sometimes used synonymously—concepts of interpretability and explainability.We assert that transparency is the overarching concept,with the tenets of interpretability,explainability,and predictability subordinate.We draw on a portfolio of definitions for each of these distinct concepts to propose a human-swarm-teaming transparency and trust architecture(HST3-Architecture).The architecture reinforces transparency as a key contributor towards situation awareness,and consequently as an enabler for effective trustworthy human-swarm teaming(HST). 展开更多

This study explores the impact of human-AI collaborative teaching strategies on English teachers in secondary schools.Based on semi-structured interviews with five English teachers in Jiangxi Province,thematic analysis was conducted using the SAMR,UTAUT,and GHEX-IPACK theoretical frameworks.The findings indicate that AI technology is primarily applied in scenarios such as resource generation,assignment distribution,and learning analytics.By substituting traditional tools,enhancing teaching interactions,and reconstructing instructional processes,AI facilitates a shift in teaching strategies from“teacher-led”to“human-AI collaboration”.Teachers generally recognized the potential of this model for improving efficiency and supporting personalized learning,but also pointed out challenges,including data bias,hardware limitations,and a lack of emotional interaction.The study suggests that achieving deep human-AI collaboration requires balancing technological efficacy with humanistic care relying on blended instructional design and teacher training to optimize teachers’knowledge structures.This research preliminary constructs a practical model of human-AI collaboration in secondary school English education,providing insights for teacher professional development. 展开更多

目的基于英国国家癌症行动小组提出的TEAM准则,开发适用于我国的肿瘤多学科诊疗(MDT)模式有效性评估工具并进行应用,为肿瘤MDT模式可持续发展提供参考。方法采用文献分析法,经研究小组讨论初步构建评估条目,通过两轮专家咨询确定评估内... 目的基于英国国家癌症行动小组提出的TEAM准则,开发适用于我国的肿瘤多学科诊疗(MDT)模式有效性评估工具并进行应用,为肿瘤MDT模式可持续发展提供参考。方法采用文献分析法,经研究小组讨论初步构建评估条目,通过两轮专家咨询确定评估内容,并进行信效度检验。对33个肿瘤MDT团队的491名成员开展问卷调查,了解MDT模式有效性现状。结果评估工具包括一级维度5个、二级维度17个、三级评价条目36个。评估工具效标效度r值均>0.80(P<0.05),结构效度KMO值为0.849(P<0.001),内部一致性Cronbach’sα系数为0.920。65.6%的MDT成员认为肿瘤MDT模式有效性处于中等水平,一级维度中团队组成(59.5%)、会议组织(73.3%)、以患者为中心的临床决策(63.1%)和二级维度中会议后期(56.2%)、以患者为中心的照护(58.1%)等有效性处于中低水平。结论构建的肿瘤MDT模式有效性评估工具具有创新性和可行性。应进一步完善制度和标准,加强成本效益分析,关注群体决策行为,规范质控体系,深化“以患者为中心”的服务内涵。 展开更多

Objective:Interpersonal brain synchronization(IBS)has emerged as a significant concept in understanding collaborative team dynamics,with functional near-infrared spectroscopy(fNIRS)proving to be a vital tool in its assessment.This review aims to collate and analyze the literature on the application of fNIRS in various team settings,emphasizing its potential utility in surgical environments.Methods:A thorough search and screening process across multiple databases resulted in 17 studies being reviewed,with a focus on the utilization of fNIRS to measure IBS in different collaborative tasks.This review examined the tasks employed,participant demographics,organizational structures of teams,methodologies for IBS measurement,and correlations between brain synchronization and behavioral measurements.Results:fNIRS emerged as a non-invasive,cost-effective,and portable tool,predominantly used to assess IBS in pair-based tasks with a variety of participant demographics.Wavelet transform coherence was the primary method used for measuring synchronization,particularly in the prefrontal brain region.A consistent correlation was found between increased brain synchronization and enhanced team performance,underscoring the potential of fNIRS in understanding and optimizing team dynamics.Conclusion:This review establishes fNIRS as a promising tool for investigating the neural mechanisms underlying team cooperation,providing invaluable insights for potential applications in surgical settings.While acknowledging the limitations in the current literature,the review highlights the need for further research with larger sample sizes and varied task complexities to solidify the understanding of IBS and its impact on team performance.The ultimate goal is to leverage fNIRS in assessing and improving surgical team dynamics,contributing to improved patient outcomes and safety. 展开更多

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence(AI)into software development,driven by large language models(LLMs),is reshaping the role of programmers from traditional coders into strategic collaborators within Industry 4.0 ecosystems.This qualitative study employs a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to explore the lived experiences of Information Technology(IT)professionals as they navigate a dynamic technological landscape marked by intelligent automation,shifting professional identities,and emerging ethical concerns.Findings indicate that developers are actively adapting to AI-augmented environments by engaging in continuous upskilling,prompt engineering,interdisciplinary collaboration,and heightened ethical awareness.However,participants also voiced growing concerns about the reliability and security of AI-generated code,noting that these tools can introduce hidden vulnerabilities and reduce critical engagement due to automation bias.Many described instances of flawed logic,insecure patterns,or syntactically correct but contextually inappropriate suggestions,underscoring the need for rigorous human oversight.Additionally,the study reveals anxieties around job displacement and the gradual erosion of fundamental coding skills,particularly in environments where AI tools dominate routine development tasks.These findings highlight an urgent need for educational reforms,industry standards,and organizational policies that prioritize both technical robustness and the preservation of human expertise.As AI becomes increasingly embedded in software engineering workflows,this research offers timely insights into how developers and organizations can responsibly integrate intelligent systems to promote accountability,resilience,and innovation across the software development lifecycle. 展开更多

The Application of Infusion Project Team in the Safety Risk Management of Indwelling Needle Use

Objective: To explore the effectiveness of applying an infusion project team in the safety risk management of indwelling needle use. Methods: A total of 200 patients who used intravenous indwelling needles during hospital treatment from July to October 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 100 patients in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing methods, while those in the observation group were managed using the safety risk management method of the infusion project team. The tube blocking rate and tube removal rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The one-time puncture success rate and the standard implementation rate of intravenous indwelling needle use in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The total incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and patient satisfaction in the observation group was notably higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The application of an infusion project team in the safety risk management of indwelling needle use is effective and has positive impacts on improving the one-time puncture success rate, the standard implementation rate of intravenous indwelling needle use, and patient satisfaction. It is a practice worth promoting in clinical settings. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the experiences of palliative care multidisciplinary teams from the perspective of pluralistic synergy theory,aiming to enhance team collaboration.Method:Utilizing a qualitative research methodology,we conducted in-depth interviews with 15 palliative care team members to collect data.Results:The operational framework of palliative care multidisciplinary teams under pluralistic synergy theory involves:enhancing collaboration among team members;developing a comprehensive management model for the team;rationalizing the allocation of work tasks and durations;improving team communication and interaction through effective communication mechanisms and platforms;cultivating skilled professionals;and establishing a robust health record management system.Conclusion:The operational mechanism,informed by pluralistic synergy theory,advances the development of palliative care. 展开更多
