In recent years, the world has seen an exponential increase in energy demand, prompting scientists to look for innovative ways to exploit the power sun’s power.Solar energy technologies use the sun’s energy and light to provide heating, lighting, hot water, electricity and even cooling for homes, businesses, and industries.Therefore,ground-level solar radiation data is important for these applications. Thus, our work aims to use a mathematical modeling tool to predict solar irradiation. For this purpose,we are interested in the application of the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System.Through this type of artificial neural system,10 models were developed, based on meteorological data such as the Day number(Nj),Ambient temperature(T),Relative Humidity(Hr),Wind speed(WS),Wind direction(WD),Declination(δ),Irradiation outside the atmosphere(Goh),Maximum temperature(Tmax),Minimum temperature(Tmin). These models have been tested by different static indicators to choose the most suitable one for the estimation of the daily global solar radiation. This study led us to choose the M8 model, which takes Nj,T,Hr,δ,Ws,Wd,G0,and S0 as input variables because it presents the best performance either in the learning phase(R^(2)=0.981,RMSE=0.107 kW/m^(2),MAE=0.089 kW/m2)or in the validation phase(R^(2)=0.979,RMSE=0.117 kW/m^(2),MAE=0.101 kW/m^(2)). 展开更多

This paper concerns the position optimization problem of a mobile relay over a whole horizontal plane. This problem is important because the position of a mobile relay directly affects the end-to-end performance,e.g.,reliability,connectivity,and data rate.In this paper,we propose a new position optimization scheme of a mobile relay over a whole horizontal plane based on the one-bit feedback information from the destination node, which improves the performance over the prior scheme whose position of the mobile relay is optimized over a fixed orbit. In the proposed scheme, the mobile relay is equipped with merely one single onboard antenna. Moreover,no prior information about the positions of both the source node and the destination node is required. Thus, the proposed scheme can work at low network resources scenario, which is particularly suitable for mobile relay communication with constrained energy,e.g.,the communications in a disaster area where the infrastructure is heavily damaged, volcano monitoring, and wireless powered communication networking.According to the characteristics of the proposed scheme,we further design two heuristic implementations to calculate the optimal position of a mobile relay over a whole horizontal plane. The first implementation has better steady performance whereas the second implementation has better convergence speed. We implement the proposed scheme and conduct an extensive performance comparison between the proposed scheme and prior schemes to verify the advantages of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

We investigate the three-dimensional (3D) scattering problem of an incident plane shear horizontal wave by a partly through-thickness hole in an isotropic plate, in which the Lamb wave modes are also included due to the mode conversions by the scattering obstacle in the 3D problem. An analytical model is presented such that the wave fields are expanded in all of propagating and evanescent SH modes and Lamb modes, and the scattered far-fields of three fundamental guided wave modes are analyzed numerically for different sizes of the holes and frequencies. The numerical results are verified by comparing with those obtained by using the approximate Poisson/Mindlin plate model for small hole radius and low frequency. It is also found that the scattering patterns are different from those of the SO wave incidence. Our work is useful for quantitative evaluation of the plate-like structure by ultrasonic guided waves. 展开更多
