On the other hand, the denoising properties of t...Higher order statistical features have been recently proved to be very efficient in the classification of wideband communications and radar signals with great accuracy. On the other hand, the denoising properties of the wavelet transform make WT an efficient signal processing tool in noisy environments. A novel technique for the classification of multi-user chirp modulation signals is presented in this paper. A combination of the higher order moments and cumulants of the wavelet coefficients as well as the peaks of the bispectrum and its bi-frequencies are proposed as effective features. Different types of artificial intelligence based classifiers and clustering techniques are used to identify the chirp signals of the different users. In particular, neural networks (NN), maximum likelihood (ML), k-nearest neighbor (KNN) and support vector machine (SVMs) classifiers as well as fuzzy c-means (FCM) and fuzzy k-means (FKM) clustering techniques are tested. The Simulation results show that the proposed technique is able to efficiently classify the different chirp signals in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels with high accuracy. It is shown that the NN classifier outperforms other classifiers. Also, the simulations prove that the classification based on features extracted from wavelet transform results in more accurate results than that using features directly extracted from the chirp signals, especially at low values of signal-to-noise ratios.展开更多
This study intends to address the advent of higher education massification in Eritrea following the restructuring of higher education in 2004-2005. The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research methods....This study intends to address the advent of higher education massification in Eritrea following the restructuring of higher education in 2004-2005. The study applied both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The target respondents of the survey questionnaire in the study were instructors, graduates, students, administrative personnel of all higher education institutions. The findings reveal that, institutes of higher education in Eritrea are currently confronting low quality of education, shortage of senior national faculties, dependence on fixed government budget, lack of digitalized governance and weak technology infrastructure. The study concludes that, the higher education institutions after reform achieved commendable results in human resource development, narrowing gender inequality, linkage with domestic and external stakeholders in various areas of cooperation. Moreover, students’ admission rate and enrollment rate increased steadily, academic programs, departments, courses, research projects and consultancy services flourished and the advent of massification in general brought positive returns to Eritrea.展开更多

Higher manganese silicide(HMS;MnSi_(1.67-1.75))is a promising thermoelectric(TE)material due to its eco-benign composition,low price,and mechanical/thermal stability.However,its high thermal conductivity caps its intr...Higher manganese silicide(HMS;MnSi_(1.67-1.75))is a promising thermoelectric(TE)material due to its eco-benign composition,low price,and mechanical/thermal stability.However,its high thermal conductivity caps its intrinsic zT at~0.38,despite an impressive power factor.Herein,bulk HMS(Mn_(1-x)NbxSi_(1.73),x=0,0.003,0.004,and 0.005)samples were synthesized via levitation melting.Benefiting from element doping,which hinders high-frequency phonon movement,and from secondary-phase engineering,which suppresses low-frequency phonon transport and filter out low-energy carrier,Nb-incorporated samples exhibit both a high power factor and a low thermal conductivity relative to Nb-free sample.The highest power factor of 1.70 mW m^(-1)K^(-2)at723 K is achieved in Mn_(0.996)Nb_(0.004)Si_(1.73),representing a 16%improvement over MnSi_(1.73)(1.46 mW m^(-1)K^(-2)at 773 K).At 823 K,the lowest thermal conductivity(2.67 W m^(-1)K-1)is achieved in Mn_(0.997)Nb_(0.003)Si_(1.73),marking a 14%reduction relative to MnSi1.73(3.10 W m^(-1)K-1).The highest zT of 0.46 is realized in Mn_(0.996)Nb_(0.004)Si_(1.73)at 773 K,marking a 15%increase over MnSi_(1.73)(zT≈0.40).The as-synthesized samples also exhibit robust mechanical properties,sufficient for the device fabrication.These results underscore the synergistic effect of alloying and second-phase engineering to enhance the TE performance of HMS and provide guidance for future research.展开更多

Higher-order topological insulators,which host topologically protected states at boundaries that are at least two dimensions lower than the bulk,are an emerging class of topological materials.They provide great opport...Higher-order topological insulators,which host topologically protected states at boundaries that are at least two dimensions lower than the bulk,are an emerging class of topological materials.They provide great opportunities for exploring novel topological phenomena and fascinating applications.Utilizing a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope,we construct breathing-kagome lattices with Fe adatoms on Ag(111)and investigate their electronic properties.We observe the higher-order topological boundary states in the topological phase but not in the trivial one,which is consistent with the theory.These states are found to be robust against the removal of bulk or edge adatoms.Further,we show the arbitrary positioning of these states either at corner,edge,or bulk sites by slightly modifying their neighbors.Our study not only demonstrates the formation and robustness of the electronic higher-order topological boundary states in real atomic systems but also provides a route for controlling their positions.展开更多

文摘In this paper,we call a tuple consisting of 3-Lie algebra and a higher derivation on it a 3-LieHDer pair.We introduce a cohomology theory of 3-LieHDer pairs.Next,we interpret the second cohomology group as the space of all isomorphism classes of abelian extensions.Finally,we consider formal deformations of 3-LieHDer pairs that are governed by the cohomology with self-coefficient.

文摘Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is a treasure of China’s traditional medical heritage,embodying the wisdom and cultural depth of the Chinese nation.Higher TCM education shoulders the important responsibility of preserving and advancing TCM,and in today’s context,it offers significant advantages while also facing numerous challenges.Among its strengths are a profound cultural foundation in TCM,utilizing classic texts and unique theories to cultivate students’TCM thinking and competence;diversified teaching methods that integrate knowledge from multiple disciplines,innovate instructional models,and combine traditional with modern educational approaches;a complete teaching system characterized by professional faculty and advanced facilities;and interdisciplinary integration fostering innovation.However,problems persist,including some students lacking confidence in TCM culture due to the influence of Western medicine concepts and the westernization of the educational model;weak practical teaching where theory dominates,practice time is limited,and there are insufficient bases and instructors;and a shortage of faculty resulting in an imbalanced student-to-teacher ratio and an unreasonable structure.To address these issues,it is recommended to enhance cultural confidence,strengthen faculty development,and optimize practical teaching,thereby promoting the sustainable development of higher TCM education and achieving the shared prosperity of TCM education and the TCM profession.

文摘Higher manganese silicide(HMS;MnSi_(1.67-1.75))is a promising thermoelectric(TE)material due to its eco-benign composition,low price,and mechanical/thermal stability.However,its high thermal conductivity caps its intrinsic zT at~0.38,despite an impressive power factor.Herein,bulk HMS(Mn_(1-x)NbxSi_(1.73),x=0,0.003,0.004,and 0.005)samples were synthesized via levitation melting.Benefiting from element doping,which hinders high-frequency phonon movement,and from secondary-phase engineering,which suppresses low-frequency phonon transport and filter out low-energy carrier,Nb-incorporated samples exhibit both a high power factor and a low thermal conductivity relative to Nb-free sample.The highest power factor of 1.70 mW m^(-1)K^(-2)at723 K is achieved in Mn_(0.996)Nb_(0.004)Si_(1.73),representing a 16%improvement over MnSi_(1.73)(1.46 mW m^(-1)K^(-2)at 773 K).At 823 K,the lowest thermal conductivity(2.67 W m^(-1)K-1)is achieved in Mn_(0.997)Nb_(0.003)Si_(1.73),marking a 14%reduction relative to MnSi1.73(3.10 W m^(-1)K-1).The highest zT of 0.46 is realized in Mn_(0.996)Nb_(0.004)Si_(1.73)at 773 K,marking a 15%increase over MnSi_(1.73)(zT≈0.40).The as-synthesized samples also exhibit robust mechanical properties,sufficient for the device fabrication.These results underscore the synergistic effect of alloying and second-phase engineering to enhance the TE performance of HMS and provide guidance for future research.

文摘High-quality professional teaching staff is an important guarantee to achieve high-quality sustainable development of higher vocational colleges.Part-time teachers are an essential part of the teaching staff of higher vocational colleges,playing a vital role in higher vocational education.This paper analyzes the problems existing in the management of part-time teachers in higher vocational colleges,such as irregular employment,lack of systematic training,imperfect teaching quality monitoring and evaluation system,weak incentive policy,high turnover,and poor stability.Combined with the characteristics of part-time teachers,this paper explores the construction strategy of parttime teachers in higher vocational colleges,builds a high-quality and high-level part-time teacher team,and provides references for achieving high-quality sustainable development of higher vocational colleges.

文摘Higher-order topological insulators,which host topologically protected states at boundaries that are at least two dimensions lower than the bulk,are an emerging class of topological materials.They provide great opportunities for exploring novel topological phenomena and fascinating applications.Utilizing a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope,we construct breathing-kagome lattices with Fe adatoms on Ag(111)and investigate their electronic properties.We observe the higher-order topological boundary states in the topological phase but not in the trivial one,which is consistent with the theory.These states are found to be robust against the removal of bulk or edge adatoms.Further,we show the arbitrary positioning of these states either at corner,edge,or bulk sites by slightly modifying their neighbors.Our study not only demonstrates the formation and robustness of the electronic higher-order topological boundary states in real atomic systems but also provides a route for controlling their positions.
文摘In the context of"Internet+,"the rapid development and integration of infor-mation technology in China have brought new opportunities and challenges to psychological education in higher education.Compared with traditional psycho-logical education,the high information throughput and multichannel presentation of"Internet+"have altered students’cognitive characteristics.Consequently,traditional psychological education methods are no longer suitable for the current environment,and education methods pose new challenges for higher education.New media technologies within the"Internet+"framework have played a crucial role in psychological education.Further research is needed to explore new applic-ations for enhancing the quality of psychological education in higher education institutions.This paper reviews the current opportunities and challenges faced by psychological education in the context of"Internet+",and explores a mechanism-driven,collaborative,and efficient educational strategy that is responsive to new conditions.
