Until recently, the functions of border-associated macrophages have been poorly understood and largely overlooked. However, a recent study reported that border-associated macrophages participate in stroke-induced inflammation, although many details and the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we performed a comprehensive single-cell analysis of mouse border-associated macrophages using sequencing data obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO) database(GSE174574 and GSE225948). Differentially expressed genes were identified, and enrichment analysis was performed to identify the transcription profile of border-associated macrophages. CellChat analysis was conducted to determine the cell communication network of border-associated macrophages. Transcription factors were predicted using the ‘pySCENIC' tool. We found that, in response to hypoxia, borderassociated macrophages underwent dynamic transcriptional changes and participated in the regulation of inflammatory-related pathways. Notably, the tumor necrosis factor pathway was activated by border-associated macrophages following ischemic stroke. The pySCENIC analysis indicated that the activity of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(Stat3) was obviously upregulated in stroke, suggesting that Stat3 inhibition may be a promising strategy for treating border-associated macrophages-induced neuroinflammation. Finally, we constructed an animal model to investigate the effects of border-associated macrophages depletion following a stroke. Treatment with liposomes containing clodronate significantly reduced infarct volume in the animals and improved neurological scores compared with untreated animals. Taken together, our results demonstrate comprehensive changes in border-associated macrophages following a stroke, providing a theoretical basis for targeting border-associated macrophages-induced neuroinflammation in stroke treatment.展开更多

However, as obligatory intracellular parasites, replication of all viruses relies on the host cell. Having co-evolved with their host for several million years, viruses have developed very sophisticated strategies to hijack cellular factors that promote virus uptake, replication, and spread. Identification of host cell factors(HCFs) required for these processes is a major challenge for researchers, but it enables the identification of new, highly selective targets for anti viral therapeutics. To this end, the establishment of platforms enabling genome-wide high-throughput RNA interference(HT-RNAi) screens has led to the identification of several key factors involved in the viral lifecycle. A number of genome-wide HT-RNAi screens have been performed for major human pathogens. These studies enable first inter-viral comparisons related to HCF requirements. Although several cellular functions appear to be uniformly required for the life cycle of most viruses tested(such as the proteasome and the Golgi-mediated secretory pathways), some factors, like the lipid kinase Phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase Ⅲα in the case of hepatitis C virus, are selectively required for individual viruses. However, despite the amount of data available, we are still far away from a comprehensive understanding of the interplay between viruses and host factors. Major limitations towards this goal are the low sensitivity and specificity of such screens, resulting in limited overlap between different screens performed with the same virus. This review focuses on how statistical and bioinformatic analysis methods applied to HTRNAi screens can help overcoming these issues thus increasing the reliability and impact of such studies.展开更多

In this study we ana-lyzed the transcriptome of S. japonica, which belongs to the 1 000 Plants (OneKP) Project, by using a next-generation high-throughput DNA sequencing technique. About 5.16 GB of raw data were generated, and 65 536 scaffolds with an average length of 454 bp were assembled with SOAP de novo assembly method. In total, 19 040 unigenes were identified by BLAST;25 734 scaffolds were clustered into 37 Gene ontology functional groups;6 760 scaffolds were classified into 25 COG categories, as well as 2 665 scaffolds that were assigned to 306 KEGG pathways. Majority of the unigenes exhibited more similarities to algae including brown algae and diatom than other cyanobacteria, marine diatom, and plant. Saccharina japonica has the outstanding capability to accumulate halogen such as Br and I via halogenation processes from seawater. We acquired 42 different vanadium-dependent haloperoxidases (vHPO) in S. japonica transcriptome data, including 5 segments of vanadium-dependent iodoperoxidase (vIPO) and 37 segments of vanadium-de-pendent bromoperoxidase (vBPO). Complicated analyses of identified fulllength S. japonica vBPO1 and S. japonica vBPO2 revealed the importance of vBPO among species of brown algae and the strong relationship between marine algal vBPOs and vIPOs. 文摘Optimizing root system architecture(RSA)is essential for plants because of its critical role in acquiring water and nutrients from the soil. However, the subterranean nature of roots complicates the measurement of RSA traits.Recently developed rhizobox methods allow for the rapid acquisition of root images.Nevertheless, effective and precise approaches for extracting RSA features from these images remain underdeveloped.Deep learning(DL)technology can enhance image segmentation and facilitate RSA trait extraction. However, comprehensive pipelines that integrate DL technologies into image-based root phenotyping techniques are still scarce, hampering their implementation. To address this challenge,we present a reproducible pipeline(faCRSA)for automated RSA traits analysis, consisting of three modules:(1)the RSA traits extraction module functions to segment soil-root images and calculate RSA traits.A lightweight convolutional neural network(CNN)named RootSeg was proposed for efficient and accurate segmentation;(2)the data storage module, which stores image and text data from other modules;and(3)the web application module, which allows researchers to analyze data online in a user-friendly manner. The correlation coefficients(R^(2))of total root length, root surface area, and root volume calculated from faCRSA and manually measured results were 0.96**,0.97**,and 0.93**,respectively,with root mean square errors(RMSE)of 8.13 cm,1.68 cm^(2),and 0.05 cm^(3),processed at a rate of 9.74 s per image, indicating satisfying accuracy.faCRSA has also demonstrated satisfactory performance in dynamically monitoring root system changes under various stress conditions, such as drought or waterlogging. The detailed code and deployable package of faCRSA are provided for researchers with the potential to replace manual and semi-automated methods.
文摘Six new lanthanide complexes:[Ln(3,4-DEOBA)3(4,4'-DM-2,2'-bipy)]2·2C_(2)H_(5)OH,[Ln=Dy(1),Eu(2),Tb(3),Sm(4),Ho(5),Gd(6);3,4-DEOBA-=3,4-diethoxybenzoate,4,4'-DM-2,2'-bipy=4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine]were successfully synthesized by the volatilization of the solution at room temperature. The crystal structures of six complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction technology. The results showed that the complexes all have a binuclear structure, and the structures contain free ethanol molecules. Moreover, the coordination number of the central metal of each structural unit is eight.Adjacent structural units interact with each other through hydrogen bonds and further expand to form 1D chain-like and 2D planar structures. After conducting a systematic study on the luminescence properties of complexes 1-4,their emission and excitation spectra were obtained.Experimental results indicated that the fluorescence lifetimes of complexes 2 and 3 were 0.807 and 0.845 ms,respectively. The emission spectral data of complexes 1-4 were imported into the CIE chromaticity coordinate system, and their corre sponding luminescent regions cover the yellow light, red light, green light, and orange-red light bands, respectively.Within the temperature range of 299.15-1300 K,the thermal decomposition processes of the six complexes were comprehensively analyzed by using TG-DSC/FTIR/MS technology. The hypothesis of the gradual loss of ligand groups during the decomposition process was verified by detecting the escaped gas,3D infrared spectroscopy, and ion fragment information detected by mass spectrometry. The specific decomposition path is as follows:firstly, free ethanol molecules and neutral ligands are removed, and finally, acidic ligands are released;the final product is the corresponding metal oxide.CCDC:2430420,1;2430422,2;2430419,3;2430424,4;2430421,5;2430423,6.

文摘Border-associated macrophages are located at the interface between the brain and the periphery, including the perivascular spaces, choroid plexus, and meninges. Taken together, our results demonstrate comprehensive changes in border-associated macrophages following a stroke, providing a theoretical basis for targeting border-associated macrophages-induced neuroinflammation in stroke treatment.

文摘The sulfation and decomposition process has proven effective in selectively extracting lithium from lepidolite. It is essential to clarify the thermochemical behavior and kinetic parameters of decomposition reactions.Accordingly, comprehensive kinetic study by employing thermalgravimetric analysis at various heating rates was presented in this paper. Two main weight loss regions were observed during heating. The initial region corresponded to the dehydration of crystal water, whereas the subsequent region with overlapping peaks involved complex decomposition reactions. The overlapping peaks were separated into two individual reaction peaks and the activation energy of each peak was calculated using isoconversional kinetics methods. The activation energy of peak 1 exhibited a continual increase as the reaction conversion progressed, while that of peak 2 steadily decreased. The optimal kinetic models, identified as belonging to the random nucleation and subsequent growth category, provided valuable insights into the mechanism of the decomposition reactions.Furthermore, the adjustment factor was introduced to reconstruct the kinetic mechanism models, and the reconstructed models described the kinetic mechanism model more accurately for the decomposition reactions. This study enhanced the understanding of the thermochemical behavior and kinetic parameters of the lepidolite sulfation product decomposition reactions, further providing theoretical basis for promoting the selective extraction of lithium.

文摘This paper investigates the reliability of internal marine combustion engines using an integrated approach that combines Fault Tree Analysis(FTA)and Bayesian Networks(BN).FTA provides a structured,top-down method for identifying critical failure modes and their root causes, while BN introduces flexibility in probabilistic reasoning, enabling dynamic updates based on new evidence. This dual methodology overcomes the limitations of static FTA models, offering a comprehensive framework for system reliability analysis.Critical failures, including External Leakage(ELU),Failure to Start(FTS),and Overheating(OHE),were identified as key risks.By incorporating redundancy into high-risk components such as pumps and batteries, the likelihood of these failures was significantly reduced. For instance, redundant pumps reduced the probability of ELU by 31.88%,while additional batteries decreased the occurrence of FTS by 36.45%.The results underscore the practical benefits of combining FTA and BN for enhancing system reliability, particularly in maritime applications where operational safety and efficiency are critical. This research provides valuable insights for maintenance planning and highlights the importance of redundancy in critical systems, especially as the industry transitions toward more autonomous vessels.

文摘AIM:To explore the causal relationship between several possible behavioral factors and high myopia(HM)using multivariable Mendelian randomization(MVMR)approach and to find the mediators among them with mediation analysis.METHODS:The causal effects of several behavioral factors, including screen time, education time, time spent outdoors, and physical activity,on the risk of HM using univariable Mendelian randomization(MR)and MVMR analyses were first assessed.Genome-wide association study summary statistics of serum metabolites were also used in mediation analysis to determine the extent to which serum metabolites mediate the effects of behavioral factors on HM.RESULTS:MR analyses indicated that both increased time spent outdoors and a higher frequency of moderate physical activity significantly reduced the risk of HM.Further MVMR analysis confirmed that moderate physical activity independently contributed to a lower risk of HM.Additionally,MR analyses identified 13 serum metabolites significantly associated with HM,of which 12 were lipids and one was an amino acid derivative.Mediation analysis revealed that six lipid metabolites mediated the protective effects of moderate physical activity on HM,with the highest mediation proportion observed for 1-(1-enyl-palmitoyl)-GPC(p-16:0;30.83%).CONCLUSION:This study suggests that in addition to outdoor time, moderate physical activity habits may have an independent protective effect against HM and pointed to lipid metabolites as priority targets for the prevention due to low physical activity. These results emphasize the importance of physical activity and metabolic health in HM and underscore the need for further study of these complex associations.

文摘This study aimed to investigate the eff ect of LyPB on the intestinal microfl ora of giant pandas with indigestion, using high-throughput sequencing(HTS)technology. The species distribution and microfl oral density and diversity before and after administration of the LyPB probiotic agent were analyzed.LyPB evidently has the ability to adjust the fl oral imbalance in the panda’s intestine. To test the eff ects of LyPB on the microfl ora of the panda gut, fecal samples were taken from a healthy giant panda(Anan)without administration of LyPB and from a dyspeptic giant panda Yangyang before and after LyPB administration.Compared with the sample obtained from healthy Anan(anan-c)and that obtained from dyspeptic Yangyang before LyPB administration(yangyang1),the sample taken from Yangyang(yangyang2)after LyPB administration displayed a signifi cant increase in the operational taxonomic unit index. An increase in the Chao index indicated an increase in the microfl oral richness, while an increase in the Shannon index indicated an increase in microfl oral diversity. At phylum and genus levels,a signifi cant increase was observed in the density of probiotic bacteria of phylum fi rmicutes, genus Streptococcus, while a drastic reduction in the density of Escherichia coli/Escherichia coli Shigella/bacteria of genus Shigella was observed.Data obtained in this study shows that LyPB preparations successfully improve the microbial structure within the panda’s intestinal canal by signifi cantly increasing the eff ective microbial community and decreasing the number of pathogenic microbes.
文摘The growing need for sustainable energy solutions, driven by rising energy shortages, environmental concerns, and the depletion of conventional energy sources, has led to a significant focus on renewable energy.Solar energy, among the various renewable sources,is particularly appealing due to its abundant availability. However, the efficiency of commercial solar photovoltaic(PV)modules is hindered by several factors, notably their conversion efficiency, which averages around 19%.This efficiency can further decline to 10%–16%due to temperature increases during peak sunlight hours. This study investigates the cooling of PV modules by applying water to their front surface through Computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The study aimed to determine the optimal conditions for cooling the PV module by analyzing the interplay between water film thickness,Reynolds number, and their effects on temperature reduction and heat transfer. The CFD analysis revealed that the most effective cooling condition occurred with a 5 mm thick water film and a Reynolds number of 10.These specific parameters were found to maximize the heat transfer and temperature reduction efficiency. This finding is crucial for the development of practical and efficient cooling systems for PV modules, potentially leading to improved performance and longevity of solar panels.Alternative cooling fluids or advanced cooling techniques that might offer even better efficiency or practical benefits.

文摘The SKP1 gene is an important component of the SCF(SKP1-Cullin1-F-box)complex and serves as a bridge connecting the F-box and Cullin1genes(F-box-SKP1-Cullin1).The pattern of S-RNase being ubiquitously labelled by the SCF complex and degraded by the 26S protease accounts for the bulk of the available self-incompatibility studies. In this study,15 ClSKP1s from the‘Xiangshui'lemon genome and ubiquitome exist in the same SKP1 conserved domain(CD)as SKP1s in other species. The q PCR results showed that SKP1-6 and SKP1-14 have tissue expression patterns specific for expression in pollen. In addition,SKP1-6 and SKP1-14 in the stigma, style and ovary were significantly upregulated after self-pollination compared to those after cross-pollination.A subcellular location showed that SKP1-6 and SKP1-14 were located in the nucleus. In addition, yeast two-hybrid(Y2H)assays,bimolecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC)and luciferase complementation imaging(LCI)assays showed that SKP1-6 interacted with F-box1,F-box33,F-box34,F-box17,F-box19,Cullin1-2 and 26S proteasome subunit 4 homolog A(26S PS4HA).SKP1-14 interacted with F-box17,F-box19,F-box35,Cullin1-2 and 26S PS4HA.The interaction of Cullin1-2 and the F-box with SKP1 as a bridge was verified by a yeast three-hybrid experiment. The ability of S3-RNase to inhibit pollen and pollen tube growth and development was assessed using in vitro pollen co-culture experiments with recombinant S3-RNase proteins.Overall, this study provides important experimental evidence and theoretical basis for understanding the mechanism of self-incompatibility in plants by revealing the key role of the SCF complex in‘Xiangshui'lemon, which is bridged by ClSKP1-6,in self-incompatibility.The results of this study are of great significance for the future indepth exploration of the molecular mechanism of the SCF complex and its wide application in the self-incompatibility of plants.

文摘The perception and signal transduction of the plant hormone abscisic acid(ABA)are crucial for strawberry fruit ripening, but the underlying mechanism of how ABA regulates ripening-related genes has not been well understood.By employing high-throughput sequencing technology,we comprehensively analyzed transcriptomic and miRNA expression profiles simultaneously in ABA-and nordihydroguaiaretic acid(NDGA,an ABA biosynthesis blocker)-treated strawberry fruits with temporal resolution. The results revealed that ABA regulated many genes in different pathways, including hormone signal transduction and the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites.Transcription factor genes belonging to WRKY and heat shock factor(HSF)families might play key roles in regulating the expression of ABA inducible genes, whereas the KNOTTED1-like homeobox protein and Squamosa Promoter-Binding-like protein 18 might be responsible for ABA-downregulated genes.Additionally,20 known and six novel differentially expressed miRNAs might be important regulators that assist ABA in regulating target genes that are involved in versatile physiological processes, such as hormone balance regulation, pigments formation and cell wall degradation.Furthermore, degradome analysis showed that one novel miRNA,Fa_novel6,could degrade its target gene HERCULES1,which likely contributed to fruit size determination during strawberry ripening. These results expanded our understanding of how ABA drives the strawberry fruit ripening process as well as the role of miRNAs in this process.

文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the mechanism of Xianglian Huazhuo formula(香连化浊方,XLHZ)blocking the development of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)to gastric cancer(GC)through bioinformatics analysis and in vitro.METHODS:Pathological morphology of gastric mucosa of rats were observed.High-throughput sequencing was used to analyze the miRNA expression profile of gastric mucosa. The miRanda,miRDB and miRWalk databases were used to predict the differential target genes.Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis were performed for differential target genes.Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRTPCR)was used to verify the differentially expressed miRNAs and target genes.Western blot,EdU,wound healing and flow cytometry were used to observe the effect of XLHZ on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)markers, proliferation, migration, apoptosis and cell cycle of CAG cells in vitro.RESULTS:A total of five differentially expressed miRNAs and four differential target genes were screened in this study.GO analysis showed that the target genes were enriched in regulation of neuron development, regulation of transcription factor activity and regulation of RNA polymerase.KEGG pathways database differences in gene enrichment of target genes in the Wnt signaling pathway,Phospholipase D signaling pathway and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway.qRTPCR confirmed that miRNAs and its target genes were consistent with the screening results. In vitro, our study revealed that XLHZ could increase the expression of Ecadherin, decrease the expression of transforming growth factorβ1,vimentin andβ-catenin,inhibite the proliferation and migration of CAG cells, cause cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 and G2/M phase, induce the apoptosis of CAG cells, and prevent the progression of CAG to GC.CONCLUSION:This study provided a new idea for the mechanism of blocking the progression of CAG to GC by XLHZ,which may be related to the expression of miR-20a-3p,miR-320-3p,miR-34b-5p,miR-483-3p and miR-883-3p and their target genes transferrin receptor, nuclear receptor subfamily 4 member 2,delta like canonical Notch ligand 1 and a kinase anchor protein 12 in CAG.In the future,we will continue to investigate the linkage between the active ingredients of XLHZ and the relevant miRNAs and their target genes,so as to provide more sufficient experimental basis for clinically effective prevention of CAG to GC.

文摘Peripheral nerve injury is a common neurological condition that often leads to severe functional limitations and disabilities.Research on the pathogenesis of peripheral nerve injury has focused on pathological changes at individual injury sites, neglecting multilevel pathological analysis of the overall nervous system and target organs. This has led to restrictions on current therapeutic approaches. In this paper,we first summarize the potential mechanisms of peripheral nerve injury from a holistic perspective, covering the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and target organs. After peripheral nerve injury, the cortical plasticity of the brain is altered due to damage to and regeneration of peripheral nerves;changes such as neuronal apoptosis and axonal demyelination occur in the spinal cord. The nerve will undergo axonal regeneration, activation of Schwann cells, inflammatory response, and vascular system regeneration at the injury site.Corresponding damage to target organs can occur, including skeletal muscle atrophy and sensory receptor disruption. We then provide a brief review of the research advances in therapeutic approaches to peripheral nerve injury. The main current treatments are conducted passively and include physical factor rehabilitation, pharmacological treatments,cell-based therapies, and physical exercise. However, most treatments only partially address the problem and cannot complete the systematic recovery of the entire central nervous system-peripheral nervous system-target organ pathway. Therefore,we should further explore multilevel treatment options that produce effective,long-lasting results, perhaps requiring a combination of passive(traditional)and active(novel)treatment methods to stimulate rehabilitation at the central-peripheral-target organ levels to achieve better functional recovery.

文摘As a means of quantitative interpretation, forward calculations of the global lithospheric magnetic field in the Spherical Harmonic(SH)domain have been widely used to reveal geophysical, lithological, and geothermal variations in the lithosphere.Traditional approaches either do not consider the non-axial dipolar terms of the inducing field and its radial variation or do so by means of complicated formulae. Moreover, existing methods treat the magnetic lithosphere either as an infinitesimally thin layer or as a radially uniform spherical shell of constant thickness. Here,we present alternative forward formulae that account for an arbitrarily high maximum degree of the inducing field and for a magnetic lithosphere of variable thickness. Our simulations based on these formulae suggest that the satellite magnetic anomaly field is sensitive to the non-axial dipolar terms of the inducing field but not to its radial variation. Therefore,in forward and inverse calculations of satellite magnetic anomaly data, the non-axial dipolar terms of the inducing field should not be ignored.Furthermore, our results show that the satellite magnetic anomaly field is sensitive to variability in the lateral thickness of the magnetized shell. In particular,we show that for a given vertically integrated susceptibility distribution, underestimating the thickness of the magnetic layer overestimates the induced magnetic field. This discovery bridges the greatest part of the alleged gap between the susceptibility values measured from rock samples and the susceptibility values required to match the observed magnetic field signal. We expect the formulae and conclusions of this study to be a valuable tool for the quantitative interpretation of the Earth's global lithospheric magnetic field, through an inverse or forward modelling approach.

文摘Because of the challenge of compounding lightweight,high-strength Ti/Al alloys due to their considerable disparity in properties,Al 6063 as intermediate layer was proposed to fabricate TC4/Al 6063/Al 7075 three-layer composite plate by explosive welding. The microscopic properties of each bonding interface were elucidated through field emission scanning electron microscope and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).A methodology combining finite element method-smoothed particle hydrodynamics(FEM-SPH)and molecular dynamics(MD)was proposed for the analysis of the forming and evolution characteristics of explosive welding interfaces at multi-scale.The results demonstrate that the bonding interface morphologies of TC4/Al 6063 and Al 6063/Al 7075 exhibit a flat and wavy configuration, without discernible defects or cracks. The phenomenon of grain refinement is observed in the vicinity of the two bonding interfaces.Furthermore, the degree of plastic deformation of TC4 and Al 7075 is more pronounced than that of Al 6063 in the intermediate layer. The interface morphology characteristics obtained by FEM-SPH simulation exhibit a high degree of similarity to the experimental results.MD simulations reveal that the diffusion of interfacial elements predominantly occurs during the unloading phase, and the simulated thickness of interfacial diffusion aligns well with experimental outcomes. The introduction of intermediate layer in the explosive welding process can effectively produce high-quality titanium/aluminum alloy composite plates.Furthermore, this approach offers a multi-scale simulation strategy for the study of explosive welding bonding interfaces.

文摘Joint Multimodal Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis(JMASA)is a significant task in the research of multimodal fine-grained sentiment analysis, which combines two subtasks:Multimodal Aspect Term Extraction(MATE)and Multimodal Aspect-oriented Sentiment Classification(MASC).Currently, most existing models for JMASA only perform text and image feature encoding from a basic level, but often neglect the in-depth analysis of unimodal intrinsic features, which may lead to the low accuracy of aspect term extraction and the poor ability of sentiment prediction due to the insufficient learning of intra-modal features.Given this problem,we propose a Text-Image Feature Fine-grained Learning(TIFFL)model for JMASA.First,we construct an enhanced adjacency matrix of word dependencies and adopt graph convolutional network to learn the syntactic structure features for text, which addresses the context interference problem of identifying different aspect terms. Then, the adjective-noun pairs extracted from image are introduced to enable the semantic representation of visual features more intuitive, which addresses the ambiguous semantic extraction problem during image feature learning.Thereby, the model performance of aspect term extraction and sentiment polarity prediction can be further optimized and enhanced.Experiments on two Twitter benchmark datasets demonstrate that TIFFL achieves competitive results for JMASA,MATE and MASC,thus validating the effectiveness of our proposed methods.

文摘The growth trajectory of hailstones within clouds has remained elusive due to the inability to trace them directly, impeding the comprehension of their underlying growth mechanisms. This study investigated hailstone vertical growth trajectories by detecting the stable isotope signatures(2H and 18O compositions)of different shells in 27 hailstones from 9hailstorms,which allowed us to capture the ambient temperature during hailstone growth. The vertical growth trajectories were obtained by comparing the isotopic compositions of water condensate in clouds, derived from the Adiabatic Model, with those measured in hailstones.Although hailstone growth was primarily observed in the–10°C to–30°C temperature layer, the embryo formation height and subsequent growth trajectories significantly varied among hailstones.Embryos formed over a wide range of temperatures(–8.7°C to–33.4°C);four originated at temperatures above–15°C and 16originated at temperatures below–20°C,suggesting ice nuclei composed of bioproteins and mineral dust, respectively.Among the 27 measured hailstones,3 exhibited minimal vertical movement,16 exhibited a monotonic rise or fall, and the remaining 8 exhibited alternating up-down trajectories;only one experienced“recycling”during up-down drifting.Trajectory analysis revealed that similar-sized hailstones from a single storm tended to form at similar heights, whereas those larger than 25 mm in diameter exhibited at least one period of upward growth.Vertical trajectories derived from isotopic analysis were corroborated by radar hydrometeor observations.
文摘Viruses are extremely heterogeneous entities; the size and the nature of their genetic information, as well as the strategies employed to amplify and propagate their genomes, are highly variable. This review focuses on how statistical and bioinformatic analysis methods applied to HTRNAi screens can help overcoming these issues thus increasing the reliability and impact of such studies.

文摘Saccharina is one of the most important cold-water living marine brown algal genera. This study will enhance our understanding of the biological charac-teristics and economic values of S. japonica species.
