Comprehensive characterization of the high-temperature mechanical properties was conducted on two typical micro structures of the Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si titanium alloy—near-equiaxedαand Widmanstatten structures—at test tem...Comprehensive characterization of the high-temperature mechanical properties was conducted on two typical micro structures of the Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si titanium alloy—near-equiaxedαand Widmanstatten structures—at test temperatures of 700,800,and 900℃.The results demonstrate that the lamellar and acicularαphase in the Widmanstatten structure exhibits higher resistance to slip,resulting in superior high-temperature strength,particularly at 900℃,compared with the near-equiaxed structure.As thermal stabilization temperature increases,the primaryα-phase in the sample with original near-equiaxed micro structure transitions from an equiaxed morphology to a lamellar or flake shape,and the transformedβcontent diminishes,while the width of the lamellarα-phase within the transformedβincreases substantially.The microstructure of the sample with original Widmanst?tten structure demonstrates minimal change,with the initially coarse acicularαphase undergoing further growth.After theα2 phase and other precipitates form on the grain boundaries of the coarse acicularα,subsequent cracking is likely to initiate at these precipitates.The relatively straight grain-boundary crack propagation path is shorter,leading to a decrease in overall strength.The micro structures of the Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si titanium alloy exhibit a creep rupture time exceeding 10 h at 800℃.The creep strain exhibited by the sample with near-equiaxed micro structure is notably higher than that of the sample with Widmanstatten structure.This discrepancy can be attributed to the elevated content of lamellar and needle-likeα,which hinders the climb creep of dislocations.Moreover,the longer crack propagation path associated with the Widmanstatten microstructure contributes to considerably enhanced high-temperature creep resistance relative to the near-equiaxed structure.Furthermore,high-temperature creep endurance tests and experiments demonstrate that the Widmanstatten-structured titanium alloy meets the requirements for short-term high-temperature applications at 900℃under a stress of 20 MPa.展开更多
To mitigate the impact of interdiffusion reactions between the silicide slurry and Ta12W alloy substrate during vacuum sintering process on the oxidation resistance of the silicide coating,a micro-arc oxidation pretre...To mitigate the impact of interdiffusion reactions between the silicide slurry and Ta12W alloy substrate during vacuum sintering process on the oxidation resistance of the silicide coating,a micro-arc oxidation pretreatment was employed to construct a Ta_(2)O_(5)ceramic layer on the Ta12W alloy surface.Subsequently,a slurry spraying-vacuum sintering method was used to prepare a Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coating on the pretreated substrate.Comparative studies were conducted on the microstructure,phase composition,and isothermal oxidation resistance(at 1600℃)of the as-prepared coatings with and without the micro-arc oxidation ceramic layer.The results show that the Ta_(2)O_(5)layer prepared at 400 V is more continuous and has smaller pores than that prepared at 350 V.After microarc oxidation pretreatment,the Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coating on Ta12W alloy consists of three distinct layers:an upper layer dominated by Ti_(5)Si_(3),Ta_(5)Si_(3),and ZrSi;a middle layer dominated by TaSi_(2);a coating/substrate interfacial reaction layer dominated by Ta_(5)Si_(3).Both the Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coatings with and without the Ta_(2)O_(5)ceramic layer do not fail after isothermal oxidation at 1600℃for 5 h.Notably,the addition of the Ta2O5 ceramic layer reduces the high-temperature oxidation rate of the coating.展开更多
The unique crystallographic lamellar microstructure(CLM) Ni-based superalloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) exhibits excellent tensile properties.This study aims to investigate CLM's high-temperature...The unique crystallographic lamellar microstructure(CLM) Ni-based superalloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) exhibits excellent tensile properties.This study aims to investigate CLM's high-temperature stress rupture behavior and use these findings to improve the additive manufacturing process.The result shows that the high temperature-induced intergranular fracture in <110> grain region is responsible for stress rupture failure under both conditions of 760 ℃/780 MPa and 980 ℃/260 MPa.Among them,the sub-grain boundary fracture occurs only under high temperature and low stress,980 ℃/260 MPa.Due to the severe intergranular fracture induced by stray grains,the stress rupture life is very low under both conditions.According to the finite element simulation,the formation of stray grains stems from the unstable heat flow within the melt pool during the process.In addition,the shorter stress rupture lifetime does not excite a more pronounced dislocation network around the γ′ phase.However,the deformation twins can still be activated inside the <110> grains,so it has excellent plasticity under both test conditions.Finally,this work indicates that the future optimization of CLM by LPBF should focus on eliminating of high-angle grain boundaries in <110> grains.展开更多
With the laser remelting of cast alloys combined with non-equilibrium liquidus projection thermodynamic calculations,a high-strength and heat-resistant Al-3Fe-2Mn alloy was designed.Incorporating Mn atoms into the met...With the laser remelting of cast alloys combined with non-equilibrium liquidus projection thermodynamic calculations,a high-strength and heat-resistant Al-3Fe-2Mn alloy was designed.Incorporating Mn atoms into the metastable nanoscale Al_(6)Fe phase,occupying some lattice sites,enhances its thermal stability.Additionally,during rapid solidification of laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF),the solubility of Fe and Mn elements in the aluminum alloy increases significantly,forming a supersaturated solid solution with improved strength.This alloy demonstrates excellent processability,achieving a relative density of over 99%,and tensile strengths of 295 MPa at 200℃ and 230 MPa at 300℃.The Al-3Fe-2Mn alloy holds great potential for wide applications due to its high strength at high temperature.展开更多
(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(20-x)Co_(x)(x=2,4,6,at%)high-entropy high-temperature shape memory alloys were fabricated by watercooled copper crucible in a magnetic levitation vacuum melting furnace,and the effects of Co co...(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(20-x)Co_(x)(x=2,4,6,at%)high-entropy high-temperature shape memory alloys were fabricated by watercooled copper crucible in a magnetic levitation vacuum melting furnace,and the effects of Co content on microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated.The results indicate that the grain size of the alloy decreases with increasing the Co content.In the as-cast state,the alloy consists primarily of the B19′phase,with a trace of B2 phase.The fracture morphology is predominantly composed of the B19′phase,whereas the B2 phase is nearly absent.Increasing the Co content or reducing the sample dimensions(d)markedly enhance the compressive strength and ductility of the alloy.When d=2 mm,the(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(14)Co_(6) alloy demonstrates the optimal mechanical properties,achieving a compressive strength of 2142.39±1.8 MPa and a plasticity of 17.31±0.3%.The compressive cyclic test shows that with increasing the compressive strain,the residual strain of the(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(14)Co_(6) alloy increases while the recovery ability declines.The superelastic recovery capability of the alloy is continuously enhanced.The superelastic recovery rate increases from 1.36%to 2.12%,the residual strain rate rises from 1.79%to 5.52%,the elastic recovery rate ascends from 3.86%to 7.36%,while the total recovery rate declines from 74.48%to 63.20%.展开更多

The effect of B_(4)C content (0, 0.5, 1.5, wt%) on the microstructure and room/high-temperature corrosion behaviour of the composites was investigated. Microstructural analysis revealed that the microstructure of the composites was significantly influenced by the B_(4)C content. The composite containing 0.5 wt% B_(4)C exhibited an optimal microstructure characterized by refined grains, equiaxed α-Ti transformed from lath-shaped α-Ti, well-distributed (TiB+TiC) phases with a proper amount and reduced pore/dislocation defects. This composite also demonstrated the best corrosion resistance at both room temperature (25 ℃) and high temperature (800 ℃), which was primarily attributed to its comprehensive advantages including a favorable microstructure, a uniform dispersion of thermally stable (TiB+TiC) phases and a stable passivation film.展开更多

To improve the high-temperature oxidation resistance of TiAlNb9 alloy,a Cr-Al-Y co-deposition coating was prepared on the alloy surface by the pack cementation method.The microstructure of the coating was analyzed by ...To improve the high-temperature oxidation resistance of TiAlNb9 alloy,a Cr-Al-Y co-deposition coating was prepared on the alloy surface by the pack cementation method.The microstructure of the coating was analyzed by scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,and X-ray diffractometer,and the high-temperature oxidation properties of the substrate and coating at 1273 K were compared and studied.The results show that the Cr-Al-Y coating is about 30μm in thickness,and it has a dense structure and good film-substrate bonding.The coating includes an outer layer composed of TiCr_(2),TiCr,Ti_(4)Cr,and(Ti,Nb)Cr_(4) phases as well as an inner layer composed of Ti_(2)Al,and Nb-richγ-TiAl interdiffusion zone.The TiAlNb9 substrate forms an oxide layer composed of TiO_(2) and Al_(2)O_(3) at 1273 K.Due to its loose and porous structure,TiO_(2) oxide film cannot effectively isolate the internal diffusion of element O,resulting in continuous oxidation damage to the substrate.The Cr-Al-Y co-deposition coating forms a dense Cr_(2)O_(3) and Al_(2)O_(3) oxide layer during oxidation,effectively preventing the internal diffusion of element O and significantly improving the high-temperature oxidation resistance of the substrate alloy.展开更多
The microstructure evolution and deformation mechanism of a DZ125 superalloy during high-temperature creep were studied by means of microstructure observation and creep-property tests.The results show that at the init...The microstructure evolution and deformation mechanism of a DZ125 superalloy during high-temperature creep were studied by means of microstructure observation and creep-property tests.The results show that at the initial stage of high-temperature creep,two sets of dislocations with different Burgers vectors move and meet inγmatrix channels,and react to form a quadrilateral dislocation network.Andγ′phases with raft-like microstructure are generated after the formation of dislocation networks.As creep progresses,the quadrilateral dislocation network is gradually transformed into hexagonal and quadrilateral dislocation networks.During steady stage of creep,the superalloy undergoes deformation with the mechanism that a great number of dislocations slip and climb in the matrix across the raft-likeγ′phases.At the later stage of creep,the raft-likeγ′phases are sheared by dislocations at the breakage of dislocation networks,and then alternate slip occurs,which distorts and breaks the raft-likeγ′/γphases,resulting in the accumulation of micropores at the raft-likeγ′/γinterfaces and the formation of microcracks.As creep continues,the microcracks continue to expand until creep fracture occurs,which is the damage and fracture mechanism of the alloy at the later stage of creep at high temperature.展开更多
An Al_(2)O_(3)/Al-Cu-Mn composite was fabricated using a combination of ball milling and liquid-solid reaction,with a nominal composition of Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3).The composite contains reinforcement particle...An Al_(2)O_(3)/Al-Cu-Mn composite was fabricated using a combination of ball milling and liquid-solid reaction,with a nominal composition of Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3).The composite contains reinforcement particles,including nano-sizedθ’and T(Al_(20)Cu_(2)Mn_(3))particles after T6 heat treatment,as well as in-situ synthesized nano-sizedγ-Al_(2)O_(3)particles.Tensile tests of the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3)composite and the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn base alloy after T6 treatment were carried out at room temperature and elevated temperatures(200°C,300°C,and 400°C).Compared with the base alloy,the yield strength of the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3)composite after T6 treatment increases significantly from 187 MPa to 263 MPa at room temperature.Simultaneously,at elevated temperatures,the yield strength is also enhanced,with a yield strength of 52 MPa at 400°C for this composite.The in-situ fabricatedγ-Al_(2)O_(3)particles,mainly distributed along the grain boundaries,are supposed to play the main strengthening role,especially at high temperatures.This work acts as a reference for designing composites for high-temperature applications.展开更多
The fracture behavior at high temperatures of the Ti−22Al−26Nb alloy,which features duplex lamellar,bimodal,and Widmanstätten structures,was studied.Samples of the alloy were prepared through compression deformat...The fracture behavior at high temperatures of the Ti−22Al−26Nb alloy,which features duplex lamellar,bimodal,and Widmanstätten structures,was studied.Samples of the alloy were prepared through compression deformation in the trans-phase region followed by subsequent heat treatment.The results indicate that at 650℃,the fracture toughness of the Ti−22Al−26Nb alloy is increased by 41.7%compared to that with original microstructures.The content of the B2 phase significantly influences the inherent fracture toughness of the material,while the morphology and distribution of the precipitated phases primarily affect the tortuosity of the crack propagation path.Among the microstructural features,the morphology and geometric orientation of the lamellae most significantly impact the crack path;consequently,the Widmanstätten structure exhibits the most tortuous fracture path.Additionally,a predictive model for fracture toughness is developed,which effectively predicts the fracture toughness of Ti−22Al−26Nb alloys with various microstructures at 650℃.展开更多
High-temperature and short-time(HTST)solution heat treatment combined with non-isothermal aging(NIA)was employed to regulate the microstructure and properties of Al−4.5Mg−2.0Zn−0.3Ag alloy.Results indicate that HTST s...High-temperature and short-time(HTST)solution heat treatment combined with non-isothermal aging(NIA)was employed to regulate the microstructure and properties of Al−4.5Mg−2.0Zn−0.3Ag alloy.Results indicate that HTST solution heat treatment can not only retain partial deformation dislocations,but inhibit the recrystallization behavior and increase the proportion of low-angle grain boundaries(LAGBs).In the subsequent NIA process,HTST solution heat treatment combined with NIA is instrumental in restraining the degradation of dislocations and promoting precipitation of nano-scale T'-Mg_(32)(Al,Zn,Ag)49 phase,which improves the strength of the alloy greatly.In addition,a higher fraction of LAGBs and the discontinuous distribution of grain boundary precipitates caused by this novel technology meliorate the corrosion resistance of Al−4.5Mg−2.0Zn−0.3Ag alloy.展开更多

Microstructure examination shows that the synthesized alloy has fine microstructure and contains Ni3Al, Al2O3, Ni3B and Cr3Ni2 phases. Moreover, the self-propagation high-temperature synthesis and extrusion lead to great deformation and recrystallization in the alloy, which helps to refine the microstructure and weaken the misorientation. In addition, the subsequent extrusion procedure redistributes the Al2O3 particles and eliminates the γ-Ni phase. Compared with the alloy synthesized without extrusion, the Ni3Al-0.5B-5Cr alloy fabricated by self-propagation high-temperature synthesis and extrusion has better room temperature mechanical properties, which should be ascribed to the microstructure evolution.展开更多

The microstructures and shapes vary with...(TiB2+Al2O3)/NiAl composites were synthesized by self-propagation high-temperature synthesis, and their phase compositions, microstructures and evolution modes were studied. The microstructures and shapes vary with the TiB2+Al2O3 content in the NiAl matrix. TiB2 particles take a great variety of elementary shapes such as white bars, plates, herringbones, regular cubes and cuboids. These results outline a strategy of self-assembly processes in real time to build diversified microstructures. Some TiB2 grains in sizes of 2-5μm are embeded in Al2O3 clusters, while a small number of TiB2 particles disperse in the NiAl matrix. It is believed that the higher the TiB2+Al2O3 content is, the more the regular shapes and homogeneous distributions of TiB2 and Al2O3 will be present in the NiAl matrix.展开更多

The effect of Ti-Al content on interfacial microstructure and mechanical properties of the joints was investigated. Localized melt of the substrates occurred in the joints. γ-Ni0.35Al0.30Ti0.35, NiA l3 and Ni2Al3 reaction layers formed adjacent to the substrates. Joint flaws, such as pores and cracks, made the joint density decrease and worked as the fracture source, which led to the sharp decline of joint strength. Additive Ti-Al increased joint density and strengthened the interlayer adhesion to Cf/Al. The joint flaws could be controlled by changing the Ti-Al content. When the Ti-Al content was 0.1, the joint was free of cracks with high density and reached the maximum shear strength of 24.12 MPa.展开更多

The influence of homogenization parameters on element segregation,dendritic structure,and the precipitate evolution in the GH3535-0.08wt%Y alloy was investigated.Additionally,some specific homogenization parameters we...The influence of homogenization parameters on element segregation,dendritic structure,and the precipitate evolution in the GH3535-0.08wt%Y alloy was investigated.Additionally,some specific homogenization parameters were maintained constant throughout the experiments.Results indicate that the heat treatment at 1150℃for 10 h is the optimal homogenization condition.Following this optimal treatment,dendrite structures and element segregation are eliminated.Furthermore,both SiC and Y_(5)Si_(3)precipitates in the as-cast alloy decrease significantly.Conversely,the homogenization at 1188℃induces overheating defects within the alloy.Although SiC and Y_(5)Si_(3)phases also decrease,some large M6C phases can still be observed,adversely affecting subsequent forging processes.展开更多
To investigate the influence of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with as-homogenized and as-rolled initial microstructures on the tensile flow behavior,isothermal tensile tests were conducted on a GLEEBLE-3500 isothermal simulator a...To investigate the influence of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with as-homogenized and as-rolled initial microstructures on the tensile flow behavior,isothermal tensile tests were conducted on a GLEEBLE-3500 isothermal simulator at temperatures of 380-440℃and strain rates of 0.05-1 s^(−1).The Johnson-Cook model,Hensel-Spittel model,strain-compensated Arrhenius model,and critical fracture strain model were established.Results show that through the evaluation of the models using the correlation coefficient(R)and the average absolute relative error,the strain-compensated Arrhenius model can represent the flow behavior of the alloy more accurately.Shear bands are more pronounced in the as-homogenized specimens,whereas dynamic recrystallization is predominantly observed in as-rolled specimens.Fracture morphology analysis reveals that a mixed fracture mechanism is prevalent in the as-homogenized specimen,whereas a ductile fracture mechanism is predominant in the as-rolled specimen.The processing maps indicate that the unstable region is reduced in the as-rolled specimens compared with that in the as-homogenized specimens.The optimal hot working windows for the as-homogenized and as-rolled specimens are determined as 410-440℃/0.14-1 s^(−1)and 380-400℃/0.05-0.29 s^(−1),respectively.展开更多
Dissimilar AZ31B magnesium alloy and DC56D steel were welded via AA1060 aluminum alloy by magnetic pulse welding.The effects of primary and secondary welding processes on the welded interface were comparatively invest...Dissimilar AZ31B magnesium alloy and DC56D steel were welded via AA1060 aluminum alloy by magnetic pulse welding.The effects of primary and secondary welding processes on the welded interface were comparatively investigated.Macroscopic morphology,microstructure,and interfacial structure of the joints were analyzed using scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).The results show that magnetic pulse welding of dissimilar Mg/Fe metals is achieved using an Al interlayer,which acts as a bridge for deformation and diffusion.Specifically,the AZ31B/AA1060 interface exhibits a typical wavy morphology,and a transition zone exists at the joint interface,which may result in an extremely complex microstructure.The microstructure of this transition zone differs from that of AZ31B magnesium and 1060 Al alloys,and it is identified as brittle intermetallic compounds(IMCs)Al_(3)Mg_(2) and Al_(12)Mg_(17).The transition zone is mainly distributed on the Al side,with the maximum thickness of Al-side transition layer reaching approximately 13.53μm.Incomplete melting layers with varying thicknesses are observed at the primary weld interface,while micron-sized hole defects appear in the transition zone of the secondary weld interface.The AA1060/DC56D interface is mainly straight,with only a small number of discontinuous transition zones distributed intermittently along the interface.These transition zones are characterized by the presence of the brittle IMC FeAl_(3),with a maximum thickness of about 4μm.展开更多

文摘Comprehensive characterization of the high-temperature mechanical properties was conducted on two typical micro structures of the Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si titanium alloy—near-equiaxedαand Widmanstatten structures—at test temperatures of 700,800,and 900℃.The results demonstrate that the lamellar and acicularαphase in the Widmanstatten structure exhibits higher resistance to slip,resulting in superior high-temperature strength,particularly at 900℃,compared with the near-equiaxed structure.As thermal stabilization temperature increases,the primaryα-phase in the sample with original near-equiaxed micro structure transitions from an equiaxed morphology to a lamellar or flake shape,and the transformedβcontent diminishes,while the width of the lamellarα-phase within the transformedβincreases substantially.The microstructure of the sample with original Widmanst?tten structure demonstrates minimal change,with the initially coarse acicularαphase undergoing further growth.After theα2 phase and other precipitates form on the grain boundaries of the coarse acicularα,subsequent cracking is likely to initiate at these precipitates.The relatively straight grain-boundary crack propagation path is shorter,leading to a decrease in overall strength.The micro structures of the Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si titanium alloy exhibit a creep rupture time exceeding 10 h at 800℃.The creep strain exhibited by the sample with near-equiaxed micro structure is notably higher than that of the sample with Widmanstatten structure.This discrepancy can be attributed to the elevated content of lamellar and needle-likeα,which hinders the climb creep of dislocations.Moreover,the longer crack propagation path associated with the Widmanstatten microstructure contributes to considerably enhanced high-temperature creep resistance relative to the near-equiaxed structure.Furthermore,high-temperature creep endurance tests and experiments demonstrate that the Widmanstatten-structured titanium alloy meets the requirements for short-term high-temperature applications at 900℃under a stress of 20 MPa.

文摘To mitigate the impact of interdiffusion reactions between the silicide slurry and Ta12W alloy substrate during vacuum sintering process on the oxidation resistance of the silicide coating,a micro-arc oxidation pretreatment was employed to construct a Ta_(2)O_(5)ceramic layer on the Ta12W alloy surface.Subsequently,a slurry spraying-vacuum sintering method was used to prepare a Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coating on the pretreated substrate.Comparative studies were conducted on the microstructure,phase composition,and isothermal oxidation resistance(at 1600℃)of the as-prepared coatings with and without the micro-arc oxidation ceramic layer.The results show that the Ta_(2)O_(5)layer prepared at 400 V is more continuous and has smaller pores than that prepared at 350 V.After microarc oxidation pretreatment,the Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coating on Ta12W alloy consists of three distinct layers:an upper layer dominated by Ti_(5)Si_(3),Ta_(5)Si_(3),and ZrSi;a middle layer dominated by TaSi_(2);a coating/substrate interfacial reaction layer dominated by Ta_(5)Si_(3).Both the Si-Cr-Ti-Zr coatings with and without the Ta_(2)O_(5)ceramic layer do not fail after isothermal oxidation at 1600℃for 5 h.Notably,the addition of the Ta2O5 ceramic layer reduces the high-temperature oxidation rate of the coating.

文摘The unique crystallographic lamellar microstructure(CLM) Ni-based superalloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) exhibits excellent tensile properties.This study aims to investigate CLM's high-temperature stress rupture behavior and use these findings to improve the additive manufacturing process.The result shows that the high temperature-induced intergranular fracture in <110> grain region is responsible for stress rupture failure under both conditions of 760 ℃/780 MPa and 980 ℃/260 MPa.Among them,the sub-grain boundary fracture occurs only under high temperature and low stress,980 ℃/260 MPa.Due to the severe intergranular fracture induced by stray grains,the stress rupture life is very low under both conditions.According to the finite element simulation,the formation of stray grains stems from the unstable heat flow within the melt pool during the process.In addition,the shorter stress rupture lifetime does not excite a more pronounced dislocation network around the γ′ phase.However,the deformation twins can still be activated inside the <110> grains,so it has excellent plasticity under both test conditions.Finally,this work indicates that the future optimization of CLM by LPBF should focus on eliminating of high-angle grain boundaries in <110> grains.

文摘With the laser remelting of cast alloys combined with non-equilibrium liquidus projection thermodynamic calculations,a high-strength and heat-resistant Al-3Fe-2Mn alloy was designed.Incorporating Mn atoms into the metastable nanoscale Al_(6)Fe phase,occupying some lattice sites,enhances its thermal stability.Additionally,during rapid solidification of laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF),the solubility of Fe and Mn elements in the aluminum alloy increases significantly,forming a supersaturated solid solution with improved strength.This alloy demonstrates excellent processability,achieving a relative density of over 99%,and tensile strengths of 295 MPa at 200℃ and 230 MPa at 300℃.The Al-3Fe-2Mn alloy holds great potential for wide applications due to its high strength at high temperature.

文摘(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(20-x)Co_(x)(x=2,4,6,at%)high-entropy high-temperature shape memory alloys were fabricated by watercooled copper crucible in a magnetic levitation vacuum melting furnace,and the effects of Co content on microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated.The results indicate that the grain size of the alloy decreases with increasing the Co content.In the as-cast state,the alloy consists primarily of the B19′phase,with a trace of B2 phase.The fracture morphology is predominantly composed of the B19′phase,whereas the B2 phase is nearly absent.Increasing the Co content or reducing the sample dimensions(d)markedly enhance the compressive strength and ductility of the alloy.When d=2 mm,the(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(14)Co_(6) alloy demonstrates the optimal mechanical properties,achieving a compressive strength of 2142.39±1.8 MPa and a plasticity of 17.31±0.3%.The compressive cyclic test shows that with increasing the compressive strain,the residual strain of the(TiZrHf)_(50)Ni_(30)Cu_(14)Co_(6) alloy increases while the recovery ability declines.The superelastic recovery capability of the alloy is continuously enhanced.The superelastic recovery rate increases from 1.36%to 2.12%,the residual strain rate rises from 1.79%to 5.52%,the elastic recovery rate ascends from 3.86%to 7.36%,while the total recovery rate declines from 74.48%to 63.20%.

文摘To enhance the anti-corrosion performance of TC4 alloy across a wide temperature range for modern aircrafts operating in increasingly harsh environments, the (TiB+TiC) hybrid reinforced TC4 composites were prepared by laser melting deposition (LMD) via the in-situ reaction between B_(4)C reinforcement and molten TC4 alloy. The effect of B_(4)C content (0, 0.5, 1.5, wt%) on the microstructure and room/high-temperature corrosion behaviour of the composites was investigated. Microstructural analysis revealed that the microstructure of the composites was significantly influenced by the B_(4)C content. The composite containing 0.5 wt% B_(4)C exhibited an optimal microstructure characterized by refined grains, equiaxed α-Ti transformed from lath-shaped α-Ti, well-distributed (TiB+TiC) phases with a proper amount and reduced pore/dislocation defects. This composite also demonstrated the best corrosion resistance at both room temperature (25 ℃) and high temperature (800 ℃), which was primarily attributed to its comprehensive advantages including a favorable microstructure, a uniform dispersion of thermally stable (TiB+TiC) phases and a stable passivation film.

文摘By using fatigue crack propagation testing and microstructural characterization,the crack fracture and propagation mechanisms of K4169 superalloy under various loads were investigated.The results demonstrate that the grain sizes of K4169 superalloy significantly increase,and the precipitation of the needle-likeδphase and the Laves phase is observed.Voids and microcracks form at location of Laves phase enrichment,creating conditions for crack propagation.By the a−N(a is the crack length,and N is the number of cycles)relationship curve,the change in the fatigue crack growth rate with the increasing number of cycles progresses through three separate stages.The fracture process of K4169 superalloy under low-stress cyclic loading(3 kN)exhibits the ductile fracture.Subsequently,the fracture process starts to change from the ductile fracture to the brittle fracture as the stress increases to 4.5 kN.In the microstructures of fractures in both stress states,intergranular propagation is the mechanism responsible for crack propagation.Moreover,the Laves phase exists near the fracture crack,which is in line with the post-service structural phenomenon.

文摘To improve the high-temperature oxidation resistance of TiAlNb9 alloy,a Cr-Al-Y co-deposition coating was prepared on the alloy surface by the pack cementation method.The microstructure of the coating was analyzed by scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,and X-ray diffractometer,and the high-temperature oxidation properties of the substrate and coating at 1273 K were compared and studied.The results show that the Cr-Al-Y coating is about 30μm in thickness,and it has a dense structure and good film-substrate bonding.The coating includes an outer layer composed of TiCr_(2),TiCr,Ti_(4)Cr,and(Ti,Nb)Cr_(4) phases as well as an inner layer composed of Ti_(2)Al,and Nb-richγ-TiAl interdiffusion zone.The TiAlNb9 substrate forms an oxide layer composed of TiO_(2) and Al_(2)O_(3) at 1273 K.Due to its loose and porous structure,TiO_(2) oxide film cannot effectively isolate the internal diffusion of element O,resulting in continuous oxidation damage to the substrate.The Cr-Al-Y co-deposition coating forms a dense Cr_(2)O_(3) and Al_(2)O_(3) oxide layer during oxidation,effectively preventing the internal diffusion of element O and significantly improving the high-temperature oxidation resistance of the substrate alloy.

文摘The microstructure evolution and deformation mechanism of a DZ125 superalloy during high-temperature creep were studied by means of microstructure observation and creep-property tests.The results show that at the initial stage of high-temperature creep,two sets of dislocations with different Burgers vectors move and meet inγmatrix channels,and react to form a quadrilateral dislocation network.Andγ′phases with raft-like microstructure are generated after the formation of dislocation networks.As creep progresses,the quadrilateral dislocation network is gradually transformed into hexagonal and quadrilateral dislocation networks.During steady stage of creep,the superalloy undergoes deformation with the mechanism that a great number of dislocations slip and climb in the matrix across the raft-likeγ′phases.At the later stage of creep,the raft-likeγ′phases are sheared by dislocations at the breakage of dislocation networks,and then alternate slip occurs,which distorts and breaks the raft-likeγ′/γphases,resulting in the accumulation of micropores at the raft-likeγ′/γinterfaces and the formation of microcracks.As creep continues,the microcracks continue to expand until creep fracture occurs,which is the damage and fracture mechanism of the alloy at the later stage of creep at high temperature.

文摘An Al_(2)O_(3)/Al-Cu-Mn composite was fabricated using a combination of ball milling and liquid-solid reaction,with a nominal composition of Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3).The composite contains reinforcement particles,including nano-sizedθ’and T(Al_(20)Cu_(2)Mn_(3))particles after T6 heat treatment,as well as in-situ synthesized nano-sizedγ-Al_(2)O_(3)particles.Tensile tests of the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3)composite and the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn base alloy after T6 treatment were carried out at room temperature and elevated temperatures(200°C,300°C,and 400°C).Compared with the base alloy,the yield strength of the Al-4Cu-0.5Mn-2.8γ-Al_(2)O_(3)composite after T6 treatment increases significantly from 187 MPa to 263 MPa at room temperature.Simultaneously,at elevated temperatures,the yield strength is also enhanced,with a yield strength of 52 MPa at 400°C for this composite.The in-situ fabricatedγ-Al_(2)O_(3)particles,mainly distributed along the grain boundaries,are supposed to play the main strengthening role,especially at high temperatures.This work acts as a reference for designing composites for high-temperature applications.

文摘The fracture behavior at high temperatures of the Ti−22Al−26Nb alloy,which features duplex lamellar,bimodal,and Widmanstätten structures,was studied.Samples of the alloy were prepared through compression deformation in the trans-phase region followed by subsequent heat treatment.The results indicate that at 650℃,the fracture toughness of the Ti−22Al−26Nb alloy is increased by 41.7%compared to that with original microstructures.The content of the B2 phase significantly influences the inherent fracture toughness of the material,while the morphology and distribution of the precipitated phases primarily affect the tortuosity of the crack propagation path.Among the microstructural features,the morphology and geometric orientation of the lamellae most significantly impact the crack path;consequently,the Widmanstätten structure exhibits the most tortuous fracture path.Additionally,a predictive model for fracture toughness is developed,which effectively predicts the fracture toughness of Ti−22Al−26Nb alloys with various microstructures at 650℃.

文摘High-temperature and short-time(HTST)solution heat treatment combined with non-isothermal aging(NIA)was employed to regulate the microstructure and properties of Al−4.5Mg−2.0Zn−0.3Ag alloy.Results indicate that HTST solution heat treatment can not only retain partial deformation dislocations,but inhibit the recrystallization behavior and increase the proportion of low-angle grain boundaries(LAGBs).In the subsequent NIA process,HTST solution heat treatment combined with NIA is instrumental in restraining the degradation of dislocations and promoting precipitation of nano-scale T'-Mg_(32)(Al,Zn,Ag)49 phase,which improves the strength of the alloy greatly.In addition,a higher fraction of LAGBs and the discontinuous distribution of grain boundary precipitates caused by this novel technology meliorate the corrosion resistance of Al−4.5Mg−2.0Zn−0.3Ag alloy.

文摘The well-densified Ni3Al-0.5B-5Cr alloy was fabricated by self-propagation high-temperature synthesis and extrusion technique. Microstructure examination shows that the synthesized alloy has fine microstructure and contains Ni3Al, Al2O3, Ni3B and Cr3Ni2 phases. Moreover, the self-propagation high-temperature synthesis and extrusion lead to great deformation and recrystallization in the alloy, which helps to refine the microstructure and weaken the misorientation. In addition, the subsequent extrusion procedure redistributes the Al2O3 particles and eliminates the γ-Ni phase. Compared with the alloy synthesized without extrusion, the Ni3Al-0.5B-5Cr alloy fabricated by self-propagation high-temperature synthesis and extrusion has better room temperature mechanical properties, which should be ascribed to the microstructure evolution.

文摘(TiB2+Al2O3)/NiAl composites were synthesized by self-propagation high-temperature synthesis, and their phase compositions, microstructures and evolution modes were studied. The microstructures and shapes vary with the TiB2+Al2O3 content in the NiAl matrix. TiB2 particles take a great variety of elementary shapes such as white bars, plates, herringbones, regular cubes and cuboids. These results outline a strategy of self-assembly processes in real time to build diversified microstructures. Some TiB2 grains in sizes of 2-5μm are embeded in Al2O3 clusters, while a small number of TiB2 particles disperse in the NiAl matrix. It is believed that the higher the TiB2+Al2O3 content is, the more the regular shapes and homogeneous distributions of TiB2 and Al2O3 will be present in the NiAl matrix.

文摘Cf/Al composites and TiAl alloys were joined by laser ignited self-propagating high-temperature synthesis(SHS) with Ni-Al-Ti interlayer. The effect of Ti-Al content on interfacial microstructure and mechanical properties of the joints was investigated. Localized melt of the substrates occurred in the joints. γ-Ni0.35Al0.30Ti0.35, NiA l3 and Ni2Al3 reaction layers formed adjacent to the substrates. Joint flaws, such as pores and cracks, made the joint density decrease and worked as the fracture source, which led to the sharp decline of joint strength. Additive Ti-Al increased joint density and strengthened the interlayer adhesion to Cf/Al. The joint flaws could be controlled by changing the Ti-Al content. When the Ti-Al content was 0.1, the joint was free of cracks with high density and reached the maximum shear strength of 24.12 MPa.

文摘The microstructures and properties of the Zn-Cu-Bi-Sn(ZCBS) high-temperature solders with various Sn contents were studied using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results indicate that the increase of Sn content can both decrease the melting temperature and melting range of ZCBS solders and it can also effectively improve the wettability on Cu substrate.The shear strength of solder joints reaches a maximum value with the Sn addition of 5%(mass fraction),which is attributed to the formation of refined β-Sn and primary ε-CuZn_5 phases in η-Zn matrix.However,when the content of Sn exceeds 5%,the shear strength decreases due to the formation of coarse β-Sn phase,which is net-shaped presented at the grain boundary.

文摘The influence of homogenization parameters on element segregation,dendritic structure,and the precipitate evolution in the GH3535-0.08wt%Y alloy was investigated.Additionally,some specific homogenization parameters were maintained constant throughout the experiments.Results indicate that the heat treatment at 1150℃for 10 h is the optimal homogenization condition.Following this optimal treatment,dendrite structures and element segregation are eliminated.Furthermore,both SiC and Y_(5)Si_(3)precipitates in the as-cast alloy decrease significantly.Conversely,the homogenization at 1188℃induces overheating defects within the alloy.Although SiC and Y_(5)Si_(3)phases also decrease,some large M6C phases can still be observed,adversely affecting subsequent forging processes.
文摘To investigate the influence of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with as-homogenized and as-rolled initial microstructures on the tensile flow behavior,isothermal tensile tests were conducted on a GLEEBLE-3500 isothermal simulator at temperatures of 380-440℃and strain rates of 0.05-1 s^(−1).The Johnson-Cook model,Hensel-Spittel model,strain-compensated Arrhenius model,and critical fracture strain model were established.Results show that through the evaluation of the models using the correlation coefficient(R)and the average absolute relative error,the strain-compensated Arrhenius model can represent the flow behavior of the alloy more accurately.Shear bands are more pronounced in the as-homogenized specimens,whereas dynamic recrystallization is predominantly observed in as-rolled specimens.Fracture morphology analysis reveals that a mixed fracture mechanism is prevalent in the as-homogenized specimen,whereas a ductile fracture mechanism is predominant in the as-rolled specimen.The processing maps indicate that the unstable region is reduced in the as-rolled specimens compared with that in the as-homogenized specimens.The optimal hot working windows for the as-homogenized and as-rolled specimens are determined as 410-440℃/0.14-1 s^(−1)and 380-400℃/0.05-0.29 s^(−1),respectively.
文摘Dissimilar AZ31B magnesium alloy and DC56D steel were welded via AA1060 aluminum alloy by magnetic pulse welding.The effects of primary and secondary welding processes on the welded interface were comparatively investigated.Macroscopic morphology,microstructure,and interfacial structure of the joints were analyzed using scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).The results show that magnetic pulse welding of dissimilar Mg/Fe metals is achieved using an Al interlayer,which acts as a bridge for deformation and diffusion.Specifically,the AZ31B/AA1060 interface exhibits a typical wavy morphology,and a transition zone exists at the joint interface,which may result in an extremely complex microstructure.The microstructure of this transition zone differs from that of AZ31B magnesium and 1060 Al alloys,and it is identified as brittle intermetallic compounds(IMCs)Al_(3)Mg_(2) and Al_(12)Mg_(17).The transition zone is mainly distributed on the Al side,with the maximum thickness of Al-side transition layer reaching approximately 13.53μm.Incomplete melting layers with varying thicknesses are observed at the primary weld interface,while micron-sized hole defects appear in the transition zone of the secondary weld interface.The AA1060/DC56D interface is mainly straight,with only a small number of discontinuous transition zones distributed intermittently along the interface.These transition zones are characterized by the presence of the brittle IMC FeAl_(3),with a maximum thickness of about 4μm.
