The patterns qualitatively corresponded well with experiments. Several properties such as concave single slit pattern and large influence of slight displacement of the emission position were different from the experimental results. In this study we tried other slit conditions and obtained consistent patterns with experiments. We do not claim that the adaptive dynamics is the principle of quantum mechanics, but the present results support the probability of adaptive dynamics as the candidate of the basis of quantum mechanics. We discuss the advantages of the adaptive dynamical view for foundations of quantum mechanics.展开更多

However, the control accuracy of ASTF is significantly affected by the flow disturbance caused by aero-engine acceleration and deceleration. This would reduce the credibility of ASTF’s test results for the aero-engine. Therefore, first, this paper proposes a feedforward compensation-based L1 adaptive control method for ASTF to address this problem. The baseline controller is first designed based on ideal uncoupled closed-loop dynamics to achieve dynamic decoupling. Then, L1 adaptive control is adopted to deal with various uncertainties and ensure good control performance. To further enhance the anti-disturbance performance, a feedforward strategy based on disturbance prediction is designed in the L1 adaptive control framework to compensate for the unmatched flow disturbance, which cannot be measured directly. In addition, this strategy takes into account the effects of actuator dynamics. With this method, the feedforward term can be determined from the nominal model parameters despite uncertainties. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, various comparative experiments are performed on a hardware-in-the-loop system of ASTF. The experimental results show that the proposed method possesses excellent tracking performance, anti-disturbance performance and robustness.展开更多

It is found that the Al-Sc targets demonstrate more excellent ability to resist high-speed impact. It is concluded that different microstructures of Al-Sc and Al-Ti alloys, including different grain sizes and secondary particles precipitated in the matrix, result in their greatly different capabilities of resisting impact. Furthermore, the effect of the size range ofnanoscale A13Sc precipitate in A1-Sc alloy on the resistance of high-speed impact was investigated. In addition, computer simulations and validation of these simulations were developed which fairly accurately represented residual crater shapes/geometries. First, the error between the aerodynamic resistances of the pantograph obtained by numerical simulation and wind tunnel test is less than 5%, which indicates the accuracy of the numerical simulation method. Second, the original pantograph and pantographs equipped with three different baffles are numerically simulated to obtain the aerodynamic forces and moments of the pantograph components.Three different angles for the baffles are-17°, 0° and 17°.Then the multibody simulation is used to calculate the aerodynamic uplift force of the pantograph, and the optimal range for the baffle angle is determined. Results show that the lift force of the baffle increases with the increment of the angle in the knuckle-downstream condition, whereas the lift force of the baffle decreases with the increment of the angle in the knuckle-upstream condition. According to the results of the aerodynamic uplift force, the optimal angle of the baffle is determined to be 4.75° when the running speed is 350 km/h, and pantograph–catenary contact forces are 128.89 N and 129.15 N under the knuckledownstream and knuckle-upstream operating conditions, respectively, which are almost equal and both meet the requirements of the standard EN50367:2012.展开更多

The performance of Front-VABI has a direct impact on the performance and stability of ACE, but the current ACE performance model uses approximate models for Front-VABI performance calculation. In this work, a multi-fidelity simulation based on a de-coupled method is developed which delivers a more accurate calculation of the Front-VABI performance based on Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) simulation. This simulation method proposes a form of Front-VABI characteristic and its matching calculation method between it and the ACE performance model, constructs a coupling method between the(2-D) Front-VABI model and the(0-D) ACE performance model. The result shows, when ACE works in triple bypass mode, the approximate model cannot account for the effect of FrontVABI pressure loss on Core Driven Fan Stage(CDFS) design pressure ratio, and the calculated error of high-pressure turbine inlet total temperature is more than 40 K in mode transition condition(the transition operating condition between triple bypass mode and double bypass mode). In double bypass mode, the approximate model can better simulate the performance of FrontVABI by considering the local loss of area expansion. This method can be applied to the performance-optimized design of Front-VABI and the ACE control law design during mode transition.展开更多

Due to the complicated nature of plastic deformation, a optimum loading path which w ill guarantee good hydroformed parts free of winkle and fracture has often to be determined by finite element analysis. In order to save trials and errors, adap tive FEM simulation method has been developed. To effectively apply the adaptive simulation method, we have to know the applicability of the method. In this pap er, a classification of tube hydroforming (THF) processes based on sensitivity to loading parameters has been suggested. Characteristics of the classification have been analyzed in terms of failure mode, dominant loading parameters and th eir working windows. Thus, the appropriate way to evaluate the high-speed train interior noise is to use sound quality parameters, and the most important is loudness. To overcome the disadvantages of the existing loudness algorithms, a novel signal-adaptiveMoore loudness algorithm (AMLA) based on the equivalent rectangular bandwidth (ERB) spectrum was introduced. The valida-tion reveals that AMLA can obtain higher accuracy and efficiency, and the simulated dark red noise conforms best to thehigh-speed train interior noise by loudness and auditory assessment. The main loudness component of the interior noise is below27.6 ERB rate (erbr), and the sound quality of the interior noise is relatively stable between 300-350 km/h. The specific loudnesscomponents among 12-15 erbr stay invariable throughout the acceleration or deceleration process while components among20-27 erbr are evidently speed related. The unusual random noise is effectively identified, which indicates that AMLA is anappropriate method for sound quality assessment of the high-speed train under both steady and transient conditions.展开更多

The transient processes of forming an air cavity around the jet, capturing an initially large air bubble, and the break-up of this large toroidal-shaped bubble into smaller bubbles were analyzed. A stabilized finite element method (FEM) was employed under parallel numerical simulations based on adaptive, unstructured grid and coupled with a level-set method to track the interface between air and liquid. These simulations show that the inertia of the liquid jet initially depresses the pool's surface, forming an annular air cavity which surrounds the liquid jet. A toroidal liquid eddy which is subse- quently formed in the liquid pool results in air cavity collapse, and in turn entrains air into the liquid pool from the unstable annular air gap region around the liquid jet.展开更多

文摘Regarding the spatial profile extraction method of a multi-field co-simulation dataset, different extraction directions, locations, and numbers of profileswill greatly affect the representativeness and integrity of data.In this study,a multi-field co-simulation data extractionmethod based on adaptive infinitesimal elements is proposed.Themultifield co-simulation dataset based on related infinitesimal elements is constructed, and the candidate directions of data profile extraction undergo dimension reduction by principal component analysis to determine the direction of data extraction.Based on the fireworks algorithm, the data profile with optimal representativeness is searched adaptively in different data extraction intervals to realize the adaptive calculation of data extraction micro-step length. The multi-field co-simulation data extraction process based on adaptive microelement is established and applied to the data extraction process of the multi-field co-simulation dataset of the sintering furnace.Compared with traditional data extraction methods for multi-field co-simulation,the approximate model constructed by the data extracted from the proposed method has higher construction efficiency.Meanwhile, the relative maximum absolute error, root mean square error, and coefficient of determination of the approximationmodel are better than those of the approximation model constructed by the data extracted from traditional methods, indicating higher accuracy,it is verified that the proposed method demonstrates sound adaptability and extraction efficiency.
文摘We applied adaptive dynamics to double slit interference phenomenon using particle model and obtained partial successful results in our previous report. We discuss the advantages of the adaptive dynamical view for foundations of quantum mechanics.

文摘Ventilation systems are critical for improving the cabin environment in high-speed trains, and their interest has increased significantly. However, whether air supply non-verticality deteriorates the cabin air environment, and the flow mechanism behind it and the degree of deterioration are not known. This study first analyzes the interaction between deflection angle and cabin flow field characteristics and ventilation performance. The results revealed that the interior temperature and pollutant concentration decreased slightly with increasing deflection angle, but resulted in significant deterioration of thermal comfort and air quality. This is evidenced by an increase in both draught rate and non-uniformity coefficient,an increase in the number of measurement points that do not satisfy the micro-wind speed and temperature difference requirements by about 5% and 15%,respectively,and an increase in longitudinal penetration of pollutants by a factor of about 5 and the appearance of locking regions at the ends of cabin. The results also show that changing the deflection pattern only affects the region of deterioration and does not essentially improve this deterioration. This study can provide reference and help for the ventilation design of high-speed trains.

文摘The dynamic performance of high-speed trains is significantly influenced by sudden changes in aerodynamic loads(ADLs)when exiting a tunnel in a windy environment.Focusing on a double-track tunnel under construction in a mountain railway,we established an aerodynamic model involving a train exiting the tunnel, and verified it in the Fluent environment.Overset mesh technology was adopted to characterize the train’s movement. The flow field involving the train, tunnel, and crosswinds was simulated using the Reynolds-averaged turbulence model. Then,we built a comprehensive train-track coupled dynamic model considering the influences of ADLs,to investigate the vehicles’dynamic responses. The aerodynamics and dynamic behaviors of the train when affected by crosswinds with different velocities and directions are analyzed and discussed. The results show that the near-wall side crosswind leads to sharper variations in ADLs than the far-wall side crosswind. The leading vehicle suffers from more severe ADLs than other vehicles, which worsens the wheel-rail interaction and causes low-frequency vibration of the car body. When the crosswind velocity exceeds 20 m/s,significant wheel-rail impacts occur, and the running safety of the train worsens rapidly.

文摘Currently, the design of high-temperature superconducting(HTS)maglev trains adopts a U-shaped track operation mode, and the height of the side track significantly impacts the train’s aerodynamic characteristics. In this study,we used computational fluid dynamics(CFD)methods, based on the 3D Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)method and shear stress transport(SST)k-ωturbulence model,to deeply investigate the effects of the presence or absence of a U-shaped track and different side track heights(800,880,and 960 mm)on the pressure distribution, velocity distribution, and flow field structure of HTS maglev trains at a speed of 400 km/h under crosswinds. The numerical methods were verified using a scaled ICE-2 model wind tunnel test.First, the aerodynamic characteristics of the train under different wind direction angles with and without side tracks were studied. We found that the aerodynamic performance of the train is the most adverse when the wind direction angle is 90°.The presence of a U-shaped track can effectively reduce the lateral force, lift, and yawing moment of the train. The aerodynamic performance of the first suspension bogie at the bottom, which is the worst, will also be effectively improved.Next, the aerodynamic effects of different side track heights on the HTS maglev train were studied. An increase in side track height will reduce the lift and lateral force of the train, while the increase in drag is relatively small.Under the premise of ensuring passengers can conveniently alight,we found that a U-shaped track with a side track height of 960 mm has the best aerodynamic performance. The research findings offer a valuable reference for the engineering application and design of the track structure of HTS maglev train systems.
文摘Purpose–This study aims to design and validate an emergency response method for high-speed railway earthquake early warning(EEW)systems based on the Propagation of Local Undamped Motion(PLUM)principle in order to enhance the timeliness and accuracy of warnings under seismic threats.Design/methodology/approach–A hierarchical architecture of the railway EEW system was adopted,in which self-built stations along the railway serve as the backbone and the national seismic network provides supplementary data.Warning zones were designed along the railway using overlapping trapezoidal layouts to cover seismic stations and reduce inter-regional time delays.Offline replay experiments were conducted using 82 historical earthquake events and records from 61 seismic stations to evaluate the timeliness and accuracy of warning information.Findings–The results indicate that the PLUM-based early warning method can issue emergency response information before destructive seismic waves arrive.Multiple earthquake experiments demonstrated high reliability and stability, with effective detection across different magnitudes and epicentral distances.Furthermore, the trapezoidal overlapping zone design improved regional consistency and significantly reduced missed alerts.Originality/value–This work represents the first systematic application of the PLUM method to high-speed railway EEW in China.By integrating railway operational requirements, the proposed method provides a practical and robust emergency response strategy, offering new insights into seismic risk mitigation for China’s high-speed railways.

文摘Aeropropulsion System Test Facility (ASTF) is required to accurately control the pressure and temperature of the airflow to test the performance of the aero-engine. The experimental results show that the proposed method possesses excellent tracking performance, anti-disturbance performance and robustness.
文摘Reliable and efficient communication is essential for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)networks, especially in dynamic and resource-constrained environments such as disaster management, surveillance, and environmental monitoring.Frequent topology changes, high mobility, and limited energy availability pose significant challenges to maintaining stable and high-performance routing.Traditional routing protocols, such as Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV),Load-Balanced Optimized Predictive Ad hoc Routing(LB-OPAR),and Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector(DSDV),often experience performance degradation under such conditions. To address these limitations, this study evaluates the effectiveness of Dynamic Adaptive Routing(DAR),a protocol designed to adapt routing decisions in real time based on network dynamics and resource constraints. The research utilizes the Network Simulator 3(NS-3)platform to conduct controlled simulations, measuring key performance indicators such as latency,Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR),energy consumption, and throughput.Comparative analysis reveals that DAR consistently outperforms conventional protocols, achieving a 20%-30% reduction in latency,a 25% decrease in energy consumption, and marked improvements in throughput and PDR.These results highlight DAR’s ability to maintain high communication reliability while optimizing resource usage in challenging operational scenarios.By providing empirical evidence of DAR’s advantages in highly dynamic UAV network environments, this study contributes to advancing adaptive routing strategies. The findings not only validate DAR’s robustness and scalability but also lay the groundwork for integrating artificial intelligence-driven decision-making and real-world UAV deployment.Future work will explore cross-layer optimization,multi-UAV coordination, and experimental validation in field trials, aiming to further enhance communication resilience and energy efficiency in next-generation aerial networks.

文摘The running safety of high-speed trains has become a major concern of the current railway research with the rapid development of high-speed railways around the world. The basic safety requirement is to prevent the derailment. The root causes of the dynamic derailment of highspeed trains operating in severe environments are not easy to identify using the field tests or laboratory experiments.Numerical simulation using an advanced train–track interaction model is a highly efficient and low-cost approach to investigate the dynamic derailment behavior and mechanism of high-speed trains. This paper presents a three-dimensional dynamic model of a high-speed train coupled with a ballast track for dynamic derailment analysis. The model considers a train composed of multiple vehicles and the nonlinear inter-vehicle connections. The ballast track model consists of rails, fastenings, sleepers, ballasts, and roadbed, which are modeled by Euler beams, nonlinear spring-damper elements, equivalent ballast bodies, and continuous viscoelastic elements,in which the modal superposition method was used to reduce the order of the partial differential equations of Euler beams. The commonly used derailment safety assessment criteria around the world are embedded in the simulation model. The train–track model was then used to investigate the dynamic derailment responses of a high-speed train passing over a buckled track,in which the derailmentmechanism and train running posture during the dynamic derailment process were analyzed in detail. The effects of train and track modelling on dynamic derailment analysis were also discussed. The numerical results indicate that the train and track modelling options have a significant effect on the dynamic derailment analysis. The inter-vehicle impacts and the track flexibility and nonlinearity should be considered in the dynamic derailment simulations.
文摘Al-Sc and Al-Ti semi-infinite targets were impacted by high-speed projectiles at velocities of 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5 km/s, respectively. Validated computer simulations allowed representative extrapolations of impact craters well beyond the laboratory where melt and solidification occurred at the crater wall, especially for hypervelocity impact (〉5 km/s).

文摘Aiming at the problem that aerodynamic uplift forces of the pantograph running in the knuckle-downstream and knuckle-upstream conditions are inconsistent, and their magnitudes do not satisfy the corresponding standard, the aerodynamic uplift forces of pantographs with baffles are numerically investigated, and an optimization method to determine the baffle angle is proposed. According to the results of the aerodynamic uplift force, the optimal angle of the baffle is determined to be 4.75° when the running speed is 350 km/h, and pantograph–catenary contact forces are 128.89 N and 129.15 N under the knuckledownstream and knuckle-upstream operating conditions, respectively, which are almost equal and both meet the requirements of the standard EN50367:2012.

文摘Front Variable Area Bypass Injector(Front-VABI) is a component of the Adaptive Cycle Engine(ACE) with important variable-cycle features. This method can be applied to the performance-optimized design of Front-VABI and the ACE control law design during mode transition.
文摘Tube hydroforming process is a relative new process f or production of structural parts of low weight and high rigidity. The successfu lness of the process depends largely on the a proper selection of loading path w hich is axial feeding distance as related to the applied internal pressure. It was discussed that the so called pressure dominant THF p rocess is the most difficult process for both simulation in FEM analysis and pra ctical operation in real manufacturing situation. To effectively find out the op timum loading path for pressure dominant THF process, adaptive FEM simulation st rategies are mostly needed.

文摘An online experiment to acquire the interior noise of a China Railways High-speed (CRH) train showed that it wasmainly composed of middle-low frequency components and could not be described properly by linear or A-weighted soundpressure level (SPL). The unusual random noise is effectively identified, which indicates that AMLA is anappropriate method for sound quality assessment of the high-speed train under both steady and transient conditions.

文摘High-speed maglev trains will play an important role in the high-speed transportation system in the near future. However, under the conditions of strong magnetic fields and continuous operation, the actuators of the high-speed maglev train suspension system are prone to lose partial effectiveness, which makes the suspension control problem challenging. In addition, most existing fault-tolerant control(FTC)methods for suspension systems require linearization around the equilibrium points during the controller design or stability analysis. Therefore, from a practical perspective, this study presents a novel nonlinear FTC strategy with adaptive compensation for high-speed maglev train suspension systems.First,a nonlinear dynamic model of the suspension system based on join-structure is established and the actuator failures are described. Then,a nonlinear fault-tolerant suspension control law with an adaptive update law is designed to achieve stable suspension against partial actuator failure. The Lyapunov theory and extended Barbalat lemma are utilized to rigorously prove the closed-loop asymptotic stability even if there is partial actuator failure, without any approximation to the original nonlinear dynamics. Finally, hardware experimental results are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

文摘This paper is concerned with three-dimensional numerical simulation of a plunging liquid jet. A toroidal liquid eddy which is subse- quently formed in the liquid pool results in air cavity collapse, and in turn entrains air into the liquid pool from the unstable annular air gap region around the liquid jet.
