We prepare oligothymonucleic acid (OTA) functionalized polyethylene (PE) film and evaluate its selective removal ability of mercury ions at ultra-low levels in aqueous solution. The selective binding of OTA with mercury ions is confirmed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). The quantitative results via cold-vapor atomic fluorescence spectrometry (CVAFS) indicate that OTA-functionalized PE film is able to remove mercury ions at the sub-ppb level selectively from aqueous solution, even with the coexistence of other metal ions at concentrations 250-fold or higher than that of mercury. 展开更多

High-selectivity common-mode(CM)and differential-mode(DM)reflectionless balanced bandpass filters(BBPFs)are proposed in this article.By loading absorption networks at single/both ends of the basic ring resonator,input-/two-port wideband CM and DM reflectionless performance,wideband filtering performance and all-stop CM suppression are obtained.The absorption network composed of K-sections of coupled-lines(CLs)terminated with grounded resistors can not only extend the filtering performance to high order,but also realize wideband absorption of CM noise and out-of-band DM signals.Absorptive stubs are loaded at ports to increase the design flexibility and enhance the absorption.As for the input-reflectionless type,multiple independently controlled transmission zeros(TZs)are obtained by the TZ control network to improves the selectivity and out-of-band rejection.A set of 2 GHz micro-strip BBPFs are designed and measured,which shows simultaneous CM and DM absorption performance. 展开更多

Electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)has been regarded as one of the most promising solutions to achieving“zero carbon emission”.In most of the CO_(2)RR-related studies;high-purity CO_(2)has been employed as the feed gas;however;in practice;CO_(2)is generally emitted in low concentrations;so it is of great significance to realize high-selectivity electroreduction of low-concentration CO_(2)with large concentration fluctuation.In this work;we constructed a dual-active-site catalyst and successfully achieved CO_(2)local enrichment and conversion for low-concentration CO_(2).Operando experiments reveal that the catalyst has one type of site for activating CO_(2)and one type of site for binding the reaction intermediates.The dual-active-site catalyst displays a selectivity for formic acid consistently above 97%over a broad potential window(from-0.9 to-1.6 V vs.RHE).Even when fed with a low-concentration CO_(2)stream(volume ratio from 50%down to 10%);the dual-active-site catalyst could display high activity and selectivity(>91%).In particular;the selectivity is still above 85%when the CO_(2)volume ratio is as low as 5%.This work offers a feasible route for converting low-concentration CO_(2)via a synergistic effect for dual-active-site catalysts. 展开更多

Photocatalytic conversion of biomass is considered an effective,clean,and environmentally friendly route to obtain high-valued chemicals and hydrogen.However,the limited conversion efficiency and poor selectivity are still the main bottlenecks for photocatalytic biomass conversion.Herein,we report the highly selective photocatalytic conversion of glucose solution on holosymmetrically spherical three-dimensionally ordered macroporous TiO_(2)-CdSe heterojunction photonic crystal structure(s-TCS).The obtained s-TCS photocatalysts show excellent stability and strong light harvesting,uniform mass diffusion and exchange,and efficient photogenerated electrons/holes separation and utilization.The optimized s-TCS-4 photocatalyst displays the highest photocatalytic performance for glucose oxidation and hydrogen production.The glucose conversion,lactic acid selectivity,and yield on s-TCS-4 are about 95.9%,94.3%,and 96.4%,respectively.The photocatalytic production of lactic acid for s-TCS-4(18.5 g/L)is 2.3 times higher than the pure spherical TiO_(2) photonic crystal without CdSe(s-TiO_(2),8.1 g/L),and the hydrogen production rate of s-TCS-4 is 9.4 times that of s-TiO_(2).For the first time,we reveal that the photocatalytic conversion of glucose to lactic acid is a third-order and four-electron-involved reaction.This work could shed some new light on the efficient photocatalysis conversion of biomass to highly value-added products with high selectivity and yield,and simultaneously sustainable hydrogen evolution. 展开更多
