We present a systematic calculation on the α-decay branching ratios to excited-states of an even-even α-decay chain ^242Cm → ^238Pu → ^234U → ^230Th → ^226Rn by the improved barrier penetration approach. The changes of the parities between the parent nuclei and the daughter nuclei are properly taken into account. The theoretical values are compared with the available experimental data and the deviation between them is within a factor of 5 in most cases. 展开更多

The odd-parity high-lying states of the Sm atom are investigated systematically by a three-color resonant excitation scheme with two different excitation paths.The two intermediate states,4f 6 6s7s 7 F 0 and 4f 6 6s7s 7 F 1 are employed for paths I and II,respectively.Fifty-seven bound states are detected with paths I and II in the energy range between 44188 and 45515 cm 1,while 64 autoionizing states are found in the energy range from 45528 to 45761 cm 1.Not only the level energies of all observed states,but also the line widths of autoionizing states are determined.The possible impact of configuration interaction on the line shape of autoionizing states is also discussed.In addition,the total angular momentum is assigned uniquely to most of the states,whereas the information about the relative line intensity of all states is also presented. 展开更多

A transfer-reaction experiment of ~9Be(~9Be,^(10)Be)~8Be was performed at a beam energy of 45 Me V.Excited states in ^(10)Be up to 18.80 Me V are produced using missing mass and invariant mass methods.Most of the observed high-lying resonant states,reconstructed from theα+~6He and t+~7Li decay channels,agree with the previously reported results.In addition,two new resonances at 15.6 and 18.8 Me V are identified from the present measurement.The 18.55 Me V state is found to decay into both the t + ~7Lig:s: and t + ~7Li?(0.478 MeV) channels, with a relative branching ratio of 0:93 ± 0:33. Further theoretical investigations are encouraged to interpret this new information on cluster structure in neutron-rich light nuclei. 展开更多

Two-colour stepwise excitation and photoionization schemes are adopted to study the spectra of high-lying states of the Sm atom. These bound even-parity states are excited with three different excitation paths from the 4f66s6p7DJ (J = 1, 2, 3) intermediate states, respectively. They are probed by photoionization process with an extra photon driving them to the continuum states. In this experiment, 270 states are detected in an energy range from 36160 cm-1 to 42250 cm-1, 109 of which are newly discovered, while the rest of them are confirmed to be the energy levels reported previously. Furthermore, based on the J-momentum selection rules of three excitation paths, a unique assignment of J-momentum for all observed states is determined, eliminating all remaining ambiguities in the literature. Finally, 53 single-colour transitions originating from the scanning laser are also identified. For all the relevant transitions, the information about their relative intensities is also given in the paper. 展开更多

The formalism which will be developed to describe such laser-assisted collisions, treats the laser-projectile interaction to all orders, while the electron-helium interaction is treated within the first Born-approximation. Detailed calculations are performed for the elastic scattering of 50 eV electrons by helium accompanied by the transfer of photons. The numerical results show that the good physical interpretation of relevant processes needs to consider the maximum of atomic states. 展开更多
