With the continuous advancement of perinatal medicine and neonatal intensive care technology, NEC has been on the rise year by year. The etiology of NEC is not yet clear, and it may be the result of multiple risk factors working together, such as premature birth, infection, formula feeding, ischemia, hypoxia, dysbiosis of intestinal flora, and immune damage. Additionally, recent reports have documented factors such as immunoglobulin treatment for hemolytic jaundice, blood transfusion therapy, and rapid achievement of adequate feeding. This article comprehensively analyzes the current research progress on high-risk factors of NEC, and provides a reference for future prevention, diagnosis, and treatment directions.展开更多

The results show that: 1) the theoretically calculated maximum damage depth of the bottom plate is 27.5 m, and its layer is located above the Austrian ash aquifer, which has the danger of water breakout;2) the drill hole peeping at the bottom plate of the working face shows that the depth of the bottom plate fissure development reaches 26 m, and the integrity of the water barrier layer has been damaged, so there is the risk of water breakout;3) for the microseismic monitoring of the anomalous area, the bottom plate of the return air downstream channel occurs in the field with a one-week lag, which shows that microseismic monitoring events may reflect the water breakout of the underground. This shows that the microseismic monitoring events can reflect the changes of the underground flow field, which can provide a reference basis for the early warning of water breakout. The research results can provide reference for the prediction of sudden water hazard.展开更多

This study addresses the critical need for timely GDM detection in high-risk pregnancies. By comparing the efficacy of the standard 28-week oral glucose tolerance test with an early 20-week screening, the research aims to enhance preventive interventions and minimise complications, contributing valuable insights for optimal GDM management in high-risk populations. Methodology: Conducted at Teaching Hospital Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, this prospective cohort study investigated early GDM diagnosis using a 20-week OGTT in high-risk pregnancies with negative booking screens. The research involved 385 singleton pregnancies, assessing risk factors like GDM history, family history of diabetes, macrosomia, BMI > 30 kg/m2, polycystic ovary syndrome, and advanced maternal age. The study included evaluating GDM incidence at 20 and 28 weeks, analysing risk factor associations, and determining the efficacy of early OGTT compared to routine testing. The data analysis aimed to establish the significance of a 20-week OGTT, identify the main contributory risk factors, and propose an optimal timing for GDM screening in high-risk pregnancies. Results: In the study involving 385 high-risk pregnant women, the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was 7.27% at 20 weeks, 10.91% at 28 weeks, and 81.82% without GDM. Significant associations were found between GDM at 20 weeks, a history of GDM (78.57%), and a family history of diabetes (28.57%) (p = 0.011, 0.010 respectively). Notably, the McNemar test revealed no significant association between GDM cases at 20 and 28 weeks. Discussion and Conclusion: This study emphasises early diagnosis of GDM and evaluates outcomes of screening at 20 weeks in high-risk pregnancies. Effective GDM management mitigates short-term complications but raises concern about long-term impacts on offspring. Limited evidence prompts a call for further research to determine the optimal intervention window. Risk factors for early GDM include family history and prior GDM. Recommendations include refining screening protocols and conducting additional randomised trials. The study’s strengths lie in its comprehensive analysis, but limitations include its single-cohort nature. Future research should focus on personalised screening approaches and improve gestational age assessments. Overall, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on early GDM management, highlighting the need for tailored prenatal care.展开更多

In real applications, data are frequently influenced by high dimensions and noise. However, most relevant studies are based on complete data. This paper studies the optimal estimation of high-dimensional covariance matrices based on missing and noisy sample under the norm. First, the model with sub-Gaussian additive noise is presented. The generalized sample covariance is then modified to define a hard thresholding estimator , and the minimax upper bound is derived. After that, the minimax lower bound is derived, and it is concluded that the estimator presented in this article is rate-optimal. Finally, numerical simulation analysis is performed. The result shows that for missing samples with sub-Gaussian noise, if the true covariance matrix is sparse, the hard thresholding estimator outperforms the traditional estimate method.展开更多

Behind the formula (*) and Tc/Tc,max=1−82.6(P−0.16)2, which is characteristic of hole-doped cuprat high-temperature superconductors, lies a general phenomenon, namely electron transfer, which equalizes potential differences in the material and leads to a strong reduction of n. P is the fraction of holes filled by the transferred electrons. A quantitative consideration gives Tc(x)/Tc,max=1−(1−x1−x0)2(**), where x is the doping concentration and x0 is the concentration at which superconductivity begins. At x=xmax=1the electron source is completely depleted and with further growth of x the hole density p starts to increase and Tc decreases until superconductivity disappears completely at x=2−x0. Taking into account the formula (**), the hypothesis arose that for x>xmaxTc/Tc,max=1−γ⋅p2(***), an analogue of the formula (*), and that superconductivity is possible not only by electron-Cooper pairs but also by paired holes. The mechanisms described here for HTSC suggest an analogy to the physics of semiconductors and that of nanocomposites: Electron-hole duality. The “P=1/8” anomaly in YBa2Cu3O6+x is caused by the simultaneous presence of electrons and holes, a consequence of incomplete electron transfer.展开更多

This study systematically evaluates the application prospects of wide bandgap semiconductor materials in high-power electronic devices. The research first compares the physical properties of major wide bandgap materials (such as silicon carbide SiC and gallium nitride GaN), analyzing their advantages over traditional silicon materials. Through theoretical calculations and experimental data analysis, the study assesses the performance of these materials in terms of high breakdown field, high thermal conductivity, and high electron saturation velocity. The research focuses on the application of SiC and GaN devices in power electronics, including high-voltage DC transmission, electric vehicle drive systems, and renewable energy conversion. The study also discusses the potential of wide bandgap materials in RF and microwave applications. However, the research also points out the challenges faced by wide bandgap semiconductor technology, such as material defect control, device reliability, and cost issues. To address these challenges, the study proposes solutions, including improving epitaxial growth techniques, optimizing device structure design, and developing new packaging methods. Finally, the research looks ahead to the prospects of wide bandgap semiconductors in emerging application areas such as quantum computing and terahertz communications. This study provides a comprehensive theoretical foundation and technology roadmap for the application of wide bandgap semiconductor materials in high-power electronic devices, contributing to the development of next-generation high-efficiency energy conversion and management systems.展开更多

The changes in troponin concentration between two assays conducted within a specified time interval refers to “Delta troponin”. This study aimed to assess the correlation between the complexity of coronary lesions and significant delta high-sensitivity troponin I levels in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Cardiology, Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute, Dhaka, Bangladesh from July 2022 to June 2023. A total of 70 patients with significant delta hs-cTnI were included and divided into two groups: Group-A (n = 36) with a delta hs-cTnI rise between >20% to 49%, and Group-B (n = 34) with a delta hs-cTnI rise ≥ 50%. Coronary angiography was performed and the SYNTAX Score was calculated for both groups. Data were collected using SPSS version 25.0. Result: Patients with a high-rise delta cTnI (≥50%) showed a significantly higher proportion of lesions in major coronary arteries LCx and LAD compared to those with a low-rise of cTnI (20% - 49%) (p = 0.007 and 0.004, respectively). The presence of triple vessel diseases was higher in the former group than in the latter (p 22, compared to none in the low-rise group (p Conclusion: A high rise in delta hs-cTnI is linked to higher SYNTAX scores, signifying complex coronary lesions in NSTEMI patients, with a significant linear correlation between them. Patients with a high rise in delta cTnI may exhibit more significant coronary artery lesions and triple vessel diseases compared to those with a low rise in cTnI.展开更多

Based on the N-soliton solution, we first study the evolution from N-soliton to T-order (T=1,2) breather wave solutions via the paired-complexification of parameters, and then we get the N-order rational solutions, M-order (M=1,2) lump solutions, and the hybrid behavior between a variety of different types of solitons combined with the parameter limit technique and the paired-complexification of parameters. Meanwhile, we also provide a large number of three-dimensional figures in order to better show the degeneration of the N-soliton and the interaction behavior between different N-solitons.展开更多

Results of tests show that such mortars are resistant to alkali-silica expansion. Mortars are also sulfate-resistant when the amount of HCFA in the complex binder is within a limit of 10 wt%. The fineness of fly ash determines its’ ability to activate GGBFS hydration, and influence soundness of the binder, early strength development, sulfate resistance and efflorescence behavior. The present article is a continuation of authors’ work, previously published in MSA, Vol. 14, 240-254.展开更多

Using the HealectricsTM device (model S02), which operates by applying high-voltage direct current (30 - 50 kV) with a polarity change frequency of ~0.2 Hz, we investigated the impact on viral infectivity and host cell viability. Virus cultures were exposed to electric fields during different stages: virion adsorption (0 - 1 hour), intracellular replication (1 - 8 hours), and both stages. Viral infectivity was assessed through titration, and cytotoxic effects were evaluated using MTT assays. Electric field exposure significantly reduced viral infectivity, particularly during the combined sorption and replication stages, with up to a 90% decrease in viral activity. Among the viruses tested, HCoV OC43 showed the least sensitivity, with a reduction in viral activity by a factor of 5. Comparisons revealed statistically significant reductions for influenza and herpes viruses, and a trend towards significance for HCoV OC43. The electric field treatment did not significantly affect the viability of Vero and MDCK cells, indicating the method’s safety. Our findings suggest that high-voltage low-frequency electric fields can effectively reduce viral infectivity and may serve as a potential therapeutic and preventive measure against a wide range of membrane-bound viruses, including SARS-CoV-2.展开更多

A high-order piecewise pressure of the cell is intro- duced. With the high-order piecewise pressure of the cell, the high-order spatial discretiza- tion fluxes are constructed. The time discretization of the spatial fluxes is performed by means of the Taylor expansions of the spatial discretization fluxes. The vertex velocities are evaluated in a consistent manner due to an original solver located at the nodes by means of momentum conservation. Many numerical tests are presented to demonstrate the robustness and the accuracy of the scheme.展开更多

The flow field of the cascade is measured and the ink-trace flow visualization is also presented. The experimental results show that the boundary layer suction reduces losses near the area of rnidspan in the cascade most effectively for all suction cases under test. Losses of the endwall could remarkably decrease only when the suction is at the position where the boundary layer has separated but still not departed far away from the blade surface. It is evidenced that the higher suction flow rate and the suction position closer to the trailing edge result in greater reduction in losses and the maximum reduction in the total pressure loss accounts to 16.5% for all cases. The suction position plays a greater role in affecting the total pressure loss than the suction flow rate does.展开更多

Firstly, the authors introduced the design scheme and idea of the thruster. Secondly, the performance of the latching valve and the flow characteristics of the nozzle were simulated. Finally, from the experimental results and compared with the numerical study, it shows that the long-life micro cold gas thruster developed in this paper meets the mission requirements.
文摘The increase of the critical temperature Tc for superconductivity in Al1−x(SiO2)x cermets with increasing x correlates with a decrease of the electron density n due to electron transfer, expressed by Tc/Tc,max=1−γ⋅n2(*). The “P=1/8” anomaly in YBa2Cu3O6+x is caused by the simultaneous presence of electrons and holes, a consequence of incomplete electron transfer.
文摘Wide bandgap semiconductor materials are driving revolutionary improvements in the performance of high-power electronic devices. This study provides a comprehensive theoretical foundation and technology roadmap for the application of wide bandgap semiconductor materials in high-power electronic devices, contributing to the development of next-generation high-efficiency energy conversion and management systems.
文摘Introduction: The role of high-sensitive cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) assays has higher analytical precision at lower concentrations to detect myocardial injury. Patients with a high rise in delta cTnI may exhibit more significant coronary artery lesions and triple vessel diseases compared to those with a low rise in cTnI.
文摘In this paper, the evolutionary behavior of N-solitons for a (2 + 1)-dimensional Konopelchenko-Dubrovsky equations is studied by using the Hirota bilinear method and the long wave limit method. Meanwhile, we also provide a large number of three-dimensional figures in order to better show the degeneration of the N-soliton and the interaction behavior between different N-solitons.

文摘The comprehensive improvement strategy of intra-county environment pollution in the city and countryside was searched.By the research method which combined the microscopic view, the macroscopic view with the dynamic perspective, the seriousness of rural water quality, soil and atmospheric pollution in Xiangxiang,Xiangtan and the surrounding areas in Shaoshan irrigated area was revealed. The control measure which was 'four-dimensional pollution in the city and countryside'—— low-carbon-high-value agriculture and the technology innovation was proposed. The low-carbon-high-value technology innovation industrialization demonstration in three parts which included the pre-production,mid-production and post-production deep-processing of cultivation and breeding industry in the ecological cyclic agricultural garden in Shaoshan irrigated area was the driving force. We tried to propel the low-carbon ecological cultivation and breeding industry which included the paddy rice, grass, tree, medicinal herbs and pig, cow, chick, duck, fish. We wanted to relieve the structural unbalance of previous cultivation and breeding industry,'cheap grain hurting the farmers' and the short-leg problem of social-economic-ecological benefit. The results showed that the low-carbon-high-value agricultural system was a poly-generation technology system which promoted the multi-level and grading utilization, saved the energy, reduced the consumption and cleaned the production based on the ecology.
文摘This work investigates durability of cement-free mortars with a binder comprised of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) activated by high-calcium fly ash (HCFA) and sodium carbonate (Na2CO3): the soundness, sulfate resistance, alkali-silica reactivity and efflorescence factors are considered. 14, 240-254.
文摘This study explores the antiviral properties of high-voltage low-frequency electric field exposure on the replication of human viruses, including Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 (HSV-1), Human Coronavirus OC43 (HCoV OC43), and Influenza A virus (A H1N1). Our findings suggest that high-voltage low-frequency electric fields can effectively reduce viral infectivity and may serve as a potential therapeutic and preventive measure against a wide range of membrane-bound viruses, including SARS-CoV-2.

文摘A high-order Lagrangian cell-centered conservative gas dynamics scheme is presented on unstructured meshes. Many numerical tests are presented to demonstrate the robustness and the accuracy of the scheme.

文摘This article is aimed to experimentally validate the beneficial effects of boundary layer suction on improving the aerodynamic performance of a compressor cascade with a large camber angle. The suction position plays a greater role in affecting the total pressure loss than the suction flow rate does.
