In this work,we have developed a new method for manipulating and transferring up to 5 mm×10 mm epitaxial oxide thin films. The method involves fixing a PET frame onto a PMMA attachment film, enabling transfer of epitaxial films lifted-off by wet chemical etching of a Sr3Al2O6 sacrificial layer. The crystallinity, surface morphology, continuity, and purity of the films are all preserved in the transfer process. We demonstrate the applicability of our method for three different film compositions and structures of thickness~100 nm.Furthermore,we show that by using epitaxial nanocomposite films,lift-off yield is improved by~50% compared to plain epitaxial films and we ascribe this effect to the higher fracture toughness of the composites. This work shows important steps towards large-scale perovskite thin-film-based electronic device applications. 展开更多

The objective of this study is to predict grain size and heat transfer coefficient at the metal-die interface during high pressure die casting process and solidification of the magnesium alloy AM60. Multiple runs of the commercial casting simulation package, ProCASTTM, were used to model the mold filling and solidification events employing a range of interfacial heat transfer coefficient values. The simulation results were used to estimate the centerline cooling curve at various locations through the casting. The centerline cooling curves, together with the die temperature and the thermodynamic properties of the alloy, were then used as inputs to compute the solution to the Stefan problem of a moving phase boundary, thereby providing the through-thickness cooling curves at each chosen location of the casting, Finally, the local cooling rate was used to calculate the resulting grain size via previously established relationships. The effects of die temperature, filling time and heat transfer coefficient on the grain structure in skin region and core region were quantitatively characterized. It was observed that the grain size of skin region strongly depends on above three factors whereas the grain size of core region shows dependence on the interracial heat transfer coefficient and thickness of the samples. The grain size distribution from surface to center was estimated from the relationship between grain size and the predicted cooling rate. The prediction of grain size matches well with experimental results. A comparison of the predicted and experimentally determined grain size profiles enables the determination of the apparent interracial heat transfer coefficient for different locations. 展开更多

A numerical model of heat transfer was developed to investigate the heat transfer of continuously cast billet with the aid of surface temperature tests by ThermaCAMTM researcher and nail shooting experiments. The effects of secondary cooling practice and casting speed on the solidification process and central segregation of carbon were investigated as well with the actual central segregation tests. The results show that the surface center and billet center temperatures exhibit a different pattern during solidification, and the solidified shell thickness is presented as an "S" type. With the increase of secondary cooling intensity and the decrease of casting speed, the end points of the solidus line and the liquidus line move forward, and the central segregation level of carbon decreases. The optimal casting condition is suggested for continuously cast high carbon billet with F-EMS (final electromagnetic stirring). 展开更多

A mathematical model was developed to predict the maximum heat transfer capacity of high temperature heat pipe with triangular grooved wick. The effects of the inclination angle and geometry structure were considered in the proposed model.Maximum heat transfer capacity was also investigated experimentally. The model was validated by comparing with the experimental results. The maximum heat transfer capacity increases with the vapor core radius increasing. Compared with the inclination angle of0°, the maximum heat transfer capacity increases at the larger inclination angle, and the change with temperature is larger. The performance of heat pipe with triangular grooved wick is greatly influenced by gravity, so it is not recommended to be applied to the dish solar heat pipe receiver. 展开更多

Numerical predictions of three-dimensional flow and heat transfer are performed for a two-pass square channel with 45° staggered ribs in non-orthogonally mode-rotation using the second moment closure model. At Reynolds number of 25,000, the rotation numbers studied were 0,0.24, 0.35 and 1.00. The density ratios were 0.13, 0.23 and 0.50. The results show that at high buoyancy parameter and high rotation number with a low density ratio, the flow in the first passage is governed by the secondary flow induced by the rotation whereas the secondary flow induced by the skewed ribs was almost distorted. As a result the heat transfer rate is enhanced on both co-trailing and co-leading sides compared to low and medium rotation number. In contrast, for the second passage, the rotation slightly reduces the heat transfer rate on co-leading side at high rotation number with a low density ratio and degrades it significantly on both co-trailing and co-leading sides at high buoyancy parameter compared to the stationary, low and medium rotation numbers. The numerical results are in fair agreement with available experimental data in the bend region and the second passage, while in the first passage were overestimated at low and medium rotation numbers. 展开更多

In order to study how welding parameters affect welding quality and droplet transfer, a synchronous acquisition and analysis system is established to acquire and analyze electrical signal and instantaneous images of droplet transfer simultaneously, which is based on a self-developed soft-switching inverter. On the one hand, welding current and voltage signals are acquired and analyzed by a self-developed dynamic wavelet analyzer. On the other hand, images are filtered and optimized after they are captured by high-speed camera. The results show that instantaneous waveforms and statistical data of electrical signal contribute to make an overall assessment of welding quality, and that optimized high-speed images allow a visual and clear observation of droplet transfer process. The analysis of both waveforms and images leads to a further research on droplet transfer mechanism and provides a basis for precise control of droplet transfer. 展开更多

Noise is one of the key issues in the operation of high-speed railways, with sound source localisation and its transfer path as the two major aspects. This study investigates both the exterior and interior sound source distribution of a high-speed train and presents a method for performing the contribution analysis of airborne sound with regard to the interior noise. First, both exterior and interior sound source locations of the high-speed train are identified through in-situ measurements. Second, the sound source contribution for di erent regions of the train and the relationships between the exterior and interior noises are analysed. Third, a method for conducting the contribution analysis of airborne sound with regard to the interior noise of the high-speed train is described. Lastly, a case study on the sidewall area is carried out, and the contribution of airborne sound to the interior noise of this area is obtained. The results show that, when the high-speed train runs at 310 km/h, dominant exterior sound sources are located in the bogie and pantograph regions, while main interior sound sources are located at the sidewall and roof. The interior noise, the bogie area noise and the sound source at the middle of the coach exhibit very similar rates of increase with increasing train speed. For the selected sidewall area, structure-borne sound dominates in most of the 1/3 octave bands. 展开更多

A large number of debris flow disasters(called Seismic debris flows) would occur after an earthquake, which can cause a great amount of damage. UAV low-altitude remote sensing technology has become a means of quickly obtaining disaster information as it has the advantage of convenience and timeliness, but the spectral information of the image is so scarce, making it difficult to accurately detect the information of earthquake debris flow disasters. Based on the above problems, a seismic debris flow detection method based on transfer learning(TL) mechanism is proposed. On the basis of the constructed seismic debris flow disaster database, the features acquired from the training of the convolutional neural network(CNN) are transferred to the disaster information detection of the seismic debris flow. The automatic detection of earthquake debris flow disaster information is then completed, and the results of object-oriented seismic debris flow disaster information detection are compared and analyzed with the detection results supported by transfer learning. 展开更多

Large-area two-dimensional(2D)materials,such as graphene,MoS_(2),WS_(2),h-BN,black phosphorus, and MXenes, are a class of advanced materials with many possible applications.Different applications need different substrates, and each substrate may need a different way of transferring the 2D material onto it.Problems such as local stress concentrations,an uneven surface tension, inconsistent adhesion, mechanical damage and contamination during the transfer can adversely affect the quality and properties of the transferred material. Therefore, how to improve the integrity, flatness and cleanness of large area 2D materials is a challenge. In order to achieve high-quality transfer, the main concern is to control the interface adhesion between the substrate, the 2D material and the transfer medium. This review focuses on this topic, and finally,in order to promote the industrial use of large area 2D materials, provides a recipe for this transfer process based on the requirements of the application, and points out the current problems and directions for future development. 展开更多

A novel acrylamide A2B2* (A = alkene, B* = alkyl chlorine) type inimer was obtained from commercially available 1,2-ethylenediamine, chloroacetyl chloride and acryloyl chloride. The as-prepared monomer can form water-soluble hyperbranched poly(N,N-ethylidene bis(N-2-chloroacetyl acrylamide))s (HPECA) through atom transfer radical polymerization/self-condensing vinyl polymerization method in the presence alkyl chlorine/CuCl/2,2-bipyridine activation system which can effectively suppress the gelation formation.1H-NMR spectra and dual detector size exclusion chromatography proved the hyperbranched structure indisputably, and the degree of branching was determined by the detailed analyses of 1H-NMR spectra. The trend of the degree of branching was in consistent with the result of Mark- Houwink exponent a. The experiment results suggested that the conversion was 67%, Mw = 13.2 x 104, Mark-Houwink a = 0.282 and the degree of branching = 64% when the reaction temperature was 120 ℃, reaction time = 168 h and N,N- ethylidene bis(N-2-chloroacetyl acrylamide):Cu(I) = 50:0.62. 展开更多

The interfacial heat transfer behavior at the metalJshot sleeve interface in the high pressure die casting (HPDC) process of AZ91D alloy is carefully investigated. Based on the temperature measurements along the shot sleeve, inverse method has been developed to determine the interfacial heat transfer coefficient in the shot sleeve. Under static condition, Interracial heat transfer coefficient (IHTC) peak values are 11.9, 7,3, 8.33kWm-2K-1 at pouring zone (S2), middle zone (S5), and end zone (510), respectively. During the casting process, the IHTC curve displays a second peak of 6.1 kWm-2 K-1 at middle zone during the casting process at a slow speed of 0.3 ms 1 Subsequently, when the high speed started, the IHTC curve reached a second peal〈 of 12.9 kW m-2K-1 at end zone. Furthermore, under different slow casting speeds, both the calculated initial temperature (TIDs) and the maximum temperature (Tsimax) of shot sleeve surface first decrease from 0.1 ms-1 to 0.3 ms-1, but increase again from 0.3 ms-1 to 0.6 ms-1. This result agrees with the experimental results obtained in a series of "plate-shape" casting experiments under different slow speeds, which reveals that the amount of ESCs decreases to the minimum values at 0.3 m s-1 and increase again with the increasing casting slow speed. 展开更多

A method based on die casting experiments and mathematic modeling is presented for the determination of the heat flow density (HFD) and interfacial heat transfer coefficient (IHTC) during the high pressure die casting (HPDC) process.Experiments were carried out using step shape casting and a commercial magnesium alloy,AM50.Temperature profiles were measured and recorded using thermocouples embedded inside the die. Based on these temperature readings, the HFD and IHTC were successfully determined and the calculation results show that the HFD and IHTC at the metal-die interface increases sharply right after the fast phase injection process until approaching their maximum values, after which their values decrease to a much lower level until the dies are opened.Different patterns of heat transfer behavior were found between the die and the casting at different thicknesses. The thinner the casting was,the more quickly the HFD and IHTC reached their steady states. Also, the values for both the HFD and IHTC values were different between die and casting at different thicknesses. 展开更多

Heat transfer at the metal-die interface has a great influence on the solidification process and casting structure. As thin-wall components are extensively produced by high pressure die casting process(HPDC), the B390 alloy finger-plate casting was cast against an H13 steel die on a cold-chamber HPDC machine. The interfacial heat transfer behavior at different positions of the die was carefully studied using an inverse approach based on the temperature measurements inside the die. Furthermore, the filling process and the solidification rate in different finger-plates were also given to explain the distribution of interfacial heat flux(q) and interfacial heat transfer coefficient(h). Measurement results at the side of sprue indicates that qmax and hmax could reach 9.2 MW·m^(-2) and 64.3 kW ·m^(-2)·K^(-1), respectively. The simulation of melt flow in the die reveals that the thinnest(T_1) finger plate could accelerate the melt flow from 50 m·s^(-1) to 110 m·s^(-1). Due to this high velocity, the interfacial heat flux at the end of T_1 could firstly reach a highest value 7.92 MW·m^(-2) among the ends of T_n(n=2,3,4,5). In addition, the q_(max) and h_(max) values of T_2, T_4 and T_5 finger-plates increase with the increasing thickness of the finger plate. Finally, at the rapid decreasing stage of interfacial heat transfer coefficient(h), the decreasing rate of h has an exponential relationship with the increasing rate of solid fraction(f). 展开更多

AIM: To determine the significance of cholesteryl ester transfer protein(CETP) in lipoprotein abnormalities in chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection.METHODS: We evaluated the significance of the serum concentration of CETP in 110 Japanese patients with chronic HCV infection. Fifty-five patients had active HCV infection, and HCV eradication had been achieved in 55. The role of CETP in serum lipoprotein abnormalities, specifically, in triglyceride(TG) concentrations in the four major classes of lipoproteins, was investigated using Pearson correlations in conjunction with multiple regression analysis and compared them between those with active HCV infection and those in whom eradication had been achieved. RESULTS: The serum CETP levels of patients with active HCV infection were significantly higher than those of patients in whom HCV eradication was achieved(mean ± SD, 2.84 ± 0.69 μg/m L vs 2.40 ± 1.00 μg/m L, P = 0.008). In multiple regression analysis, HCV infection status(active or eradicated) was an independent factor significantly associated with the serum CETP level. TG concentrations in low-density lipoprotein(mean ± SD, 36.25 ± 15.28 μg/m L vs 28.14 ± 9.94 μg/m L, P = 0.001) and high-density lipoprotein(HDL)(mean ± SD, 25.9 ± 7.34 μg/m L vs 17.17 ± 4.82 μg/m L, P < 0.001) were significantly higher in patientswith active HCV infection than in those in whom HCV eradication was achieved. The CETP level was strongly correlated with HDL-TG in patients with active HCV infection(R = 0.557, P < 0.001), whereas CETP was not correlated with HDL-TG in patients in whom HCV eradication was achieved(R =-0.079, P = 0.56). CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that CETP plays a role in abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism in patients with chronic HCV infection. 展开更多

Time synchronization techniques, especially on the pulse per second(PPS) temporal basis, have attracted growing research interests in recent years. In this paper, we have proposed and experimentally demonstrated a high-precision two-way time transfer(TWTT) system to realize long-distance dissemination of 1 PPS signal generated by a hydrogen maser. A dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing(DWDM) system and bi-directional erbium-doped fiber amplifiers(Bi-EDFAs) have also been adopted to suppress the impact of Rayleigh backscattering and optimize the signal to noise ratio(SNR) as well. We have theoretically analyzed the systematic delay in detail. The ultimate root mean square(RMS) variation of time synchronization accuracy is sub-26 ps and the time deviation can be reduced to as low as 1.2 ps at 100 s and 0.253 ps at 12 000 s, respectively. 展开更多

The increase of the critical temperature Tc for superconductivity in Al1−x(SiO2)x cermets with increasing x correlates with a decrease of the electron density n due to electron transfer, expressed by Tc/Tc,max=1−γ⋅n2(*). Behind the formula (*) and Tc/Tc,max=1−82.6(P−0.16)2, which is characteristic of hole-doped cuprat high-temperature superconductors, lies a general phenomenon, namely electron transfer, which equalizes potential differences in the material and leads to a strong reduction of n. P is the fraction of holes filled by the transferred electrons. A quantitative consideration gives Tc(x)/Tc,max=1−(1−x1−x0)2(**), where x is the doping concentration and x0 is the concentration at which superconductivity begins. At x=xmax=1the electron source is completely depleted and with further growth of x the hole density p starts to increase and Tc decreases until superconductivity disappears completely at x=2−x0. Taking into account the formula (**), the hypothesis arose that for x>xmaxTc/Tc,max=1−γ⋅p2(***), an analogue of the formula (*), and that superconductivity is possible not only by electron-Cooper pairs but also by paired holes. The mechanisms described here for HTSC suggest an analogy to the physics of semiconductors and that of nanocomposites: Electron-hole duality. The “P=1/8” anomaly in YBa2Cu3O6+x is caused by the simultaneous presence of electrons and holes, a consequence of incomplete electron transfer. 展开更多

In this study, the mean droplet diameter in the cavity zone and the total mass transfer area of a multi-stage highspeed disperser(HSD) reactor with different packing combinations were measured and evaluated. The effects of rotational speed and packing radius, as well as the packing ring radius and numbers, on the mean droplet diameter and the total mass transfer area were evaluated. A model was established to calculate the mass transfer area in the cavity zone in the HSD reactor, and it was found that the packings contribute 61%–82% of the total mass transfer area. A correlation for predicting the mass transfer area in the packing zone was regressed by the dimensionless analysis method. An enhancement factor based on the mass transfer area in the packing zone was proposed to evaluate the effect of packing combination on mass transfer area. Two optimum packing combinations were proposed in consideration of the mean droplet diameter and the enhancement factor. 展开更多
