Although quantum Bayesian networks provide a promising paradigm for multi-agent decision-making,their practical application faces two challenges in the noisy intermediate-scale quantum(NISQ)era.Limited qubit resources...Although quantum Bayesian networks provide a promising paradigm for multi-agent decision-making,their practical application faces two challenges in the noisy intermediate-scale quantum(NISQ)era.Limited qubit resources restrict direct application to large-scale inference tasks.Additionally,no quantum methods are currently available for multi-agent collaborative decision-making.To address these,we propose a hybrid quantum–classical multi-agent decision-making framework based on hierarchical Bayesian networks,comprising two novel methods.The first one is a hybrid quantum–classical inference method based on hierarchical Bayesian networks.It decomposes large-scale hierarchical Bayesian networks into modular subnetworks.The inference for each subnetwork can be performed on NISQ devices,and the intermediate results are converted into classical messages for cross-layer transmission.The second one is a multi-agent decision-making method using the variational quantum eigensolver(VQE)in the influence diagram.This method models the collaborative decision-making with the influence diagram and encodes the expected utility of diverse actions into a Hamiltonian and subsequently determines the intra-group optimal action efficiently.Experimental validation on the IonQ quantum simulator demonstrates that the hierarchical method outperforms the non-hierarchical method at the functional inference level,and the VQE method can obtain the optimal strategy exactly at the collaborative decision-making level.Our research not only extends the application of quantum computing to multi-agent decision-making but also provides a practical solution for the NISQ era.展开更多

As an important resource in data link,time slots should be strategically allocated to enhance transmission efficiency and resist eavesdropping,especially considering the tremendous increase in the number of nodes and ...As an important resource in data link,time slots should be strategically allocated to enhance transmission efficiency and resist eavesdropping,especially considering the tremendous increase in the number of nodes and diverse communication needs.It is crucial to design control sequences with robust randomness and conflict-freeness to properly address differentiated access control in data link.In this paper,we propose a hierarchical access control scheme based on control sequences to achieve high utilization of time slots and differentiated access control.A theoretical bound of the hierarchical control sequence set is derived to characterize the constraints on the parameters of the sequence set.Moreover,two classes of optimal hierarchical control sequence sets satisfying the theoretical bound are constructed,both of which enable the scheme to achieve maximum utilization of time slots.Compared with the fixed time slot allocation scheme,our scheme reduces the symbol error rate by up to 9%,which indicates a significant improvement in anti-interference and eavesdropping capabilities.展开更多
With the advent of sixth-generation mobile communications(6G),space-air-ground integrated networks have become mainstream.This paper focuses on collaborative scheduling for mobile edge computing(MEC)under a three-tier...With the advent of sixth-generation mobile communications(6G),space-air-ground integrated networks have become mainstream.This paper focuses on collaborative scheduling for mobile edge computing(MEC)under a three-tier heterogeneous architecture composed of mobile devices,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),and macro base stations(BSs).This scenario typically faces fast channel fading,dynamic computational loads,and energy constraints,whereas classical queuing-theoretic or convex-optimization approaches struggle to yield robust solutions in highly dynamic settings.To address this issue,we formulate a multi-agent Markov decision process(MDP)for an air-ground-fused MEC system,unify link selection,bandwidth/power allocation,and task offloading into a continuous action space and propose a joint scheduling strategy that is based on an improved MATD3 algorithm.The improvements include Alternating Layer Normalization(ALN)in the actor to suppress gradient variance,Residual Orthogonalization(RO)in the critic to reduce the correlation between the twin Q-value estimates,and a dynamic-temperature reward to enable adaptive trade-offs during training.On a multi-user,dual-link simulation platform,we conduct ablation and baseline comparisons.The results reveal that the proposed method has better convergence and stability.Compared with MADDPG,TD3,and DSAC,our algorithm achieves more robust performance across key metrics.展开更多

Modern business information systems face significant challenges in managing heterogeneous data sources,integrating disparate systems,and providing real-time decision support in complex enterprise environments.Contempo...Modern business information systems face significant challenges in managing heterogeneous data sources,integrating disparate systems,and providing real-time decision support in complex enterprise environments.Contemporary enterprises typically operate 200+interconnected systems,with research indicating that 52% of organizations manage three or more enterprise content management systems,creating information silos that reduce operational efficiency by up to 35%.While attention mechanisms have demonstrated remarkable success in natural language processing and computer vision,their systematic application to business information systems remains largely unexplored.This paper presents the theoretical foundation for a Hierarchical Attention-Based Business Information System(HABIS)framework that applies multi-level attention mechanisms to enterprise environments.We provide a comprehensive mathematical formulation of the framework,analyze its computational complexity,and present a proof-of-concept implementation with simulation-based validation that demonstrates a 42% reduction in crosssystem query latency compared to legacy ERP modules and 70% improvement in prediction accuracy over baseline methods.The theoretical framework introduces four hierarchical attention levels:system-level attention for dynamic weighting of business systems,process-level attention for business process prioritization,data-level attention for critical information selection,and temporal attention for time-sensitive pattern recognition.Our complexity analysis demonstrates that the framework achieves O(n log n)computational complexity for attention computation,making it scalable to large enterprise environments including retail supply chains with 200+system-scale deployments.The proof-of-concept implementation validates the theoretical framework’s feasibility withMSE loss of 0.439 and response times of 0.000120 s per query,demonstrating its potential for addressing key challenges in business information systems.This work establishes a foundation for future empirical research and practical implementation of attention-driven enterprise systems.展开更多
Accurate purchase prediction in e-commerce critically depends on the quality of behavioral features.This paper proposes a layered and interpretable feature engineering framework that organizes user signals into three ...Accurate purchase prediction in e-commerce critically depends on the quality of behavioral features.This paper proposes a layered and interpretable feature engineering framework that organizes user signals into three layers:Basic,Conversion&Stability(efficiency and volatility across actions),and Advanced Interactions&Activity(crossbehavior synergies and intensity).Using real Taobao(Alibaba’s primary e-commerce platform)logs(57,976 records for 10,203 users;25 November–03 December 2017),we conducted a hierarchical,layer-wise evaluation that holds data splits and hyperparameters fixed while varying only the feature set to quantify each layer’s marginal contribution.Across logistic regression(LR),decision tree,random forest,XGBoost,and CatBoost models with stratified 5-fold cross-validation,the performance improvedmonotonically fromBasic to Conversion&Stability to Advanced features.With LR,F1 increased from 0.613(Basic)to 0.962(Advanced);boosted models achieved high discrimination(0.995 AUC Score)and an F1 score up to 0.983.Calibration and precision–recall analyses indicated strong ranking quality and acknowledged potential dataset and period biases given the short(9-day)window.By making feature contributions measurable and reproducible,the framework complements model-centric advances and offers a transparent blueprint for production-grade behavioralmodeling.The code and processed artifacts are publicly available,and future work will extend the validation to longer,seasonal datasets and hybrid approaches that combine automated feature learning with domain-driven design.展开更多

Therefore, this paper is concerned with an extensional containment control issue, hierarchical containment control. It aims to enable a multitude of followers achieving a novel cooperation in the convex hull shaped by multiple leaders. Firstly, by constructing the three-layer topology, large-scale networks are decoupled. Then,under the condition of directed spanning group-tree, a class of dynamic hierarchical containment control protocol is designed such that the novel group-consensus behavior in the convex hull can be realized. Moreover, the definitions of coupling strength coefficients and the group-consensus parameter in the proposed dynamic hierarchical control protocol enhance the adjustability of systems. Compared with the existing containment control strategy, the proposed hierarchical containment control strategy improves dynamic control performance. At the same time, the...Recent demand for wireless communication continues to grow rapidly as a result of the increasing number of users, the emergence of new user requirements, and the trend to new access technologies. At the same time, the electromagnetic spectrum or frequencies allocated for this purpose are still limited. This makes solving the frequency assignment problem more and more critical. In this paper, a new approach is proposed using self-organizing multi-agent systems to solve distributed dynamic channel-assignment;it concerns distribution among agents which task is to assign personal station to frequencies with respect to well known constraints. Agents only know their variables and the constraints affecting them, and have to negotiate to find a collective solution. The approach is based on a macro-level management taking the form of a hierarchical group of distributed agents in the network and handling all RANs (Regional Radio Access Network) in a localized region regardless of the operating band. The approach defines cooperative self-organization as the process leading the collective to the solution: agents can change the organization by their own decision to improve the state of the system. Our approach has been tested on PHEADEPHIA benchmarks of frequency assignment Problem. The results obtained are equivalent to those of current existing methods with the benefits that our approach shows more efficiency in terms of flexibility and autonomy.展开更多
Different from the organization structure of complex projects in Western countries, the Liang Zong hierarchical organization structure of complex projects in China has two different chains, the chief-engineer chain an...Different from the organization structure of complex projects in Western countries, the Liang Zong hierarchical organization structure of complex projects in China has two different chains, the chief-engineer chain and the general-director chain,to handle the trade-off between technical and management decisions. However, previous works on organization search have mainly focused on the single-chain hierarchical organization in which all decisions are regarded as homogeneous. The heterogeneity and the interdependency between technical decisions and management decisions have been neglected. A two-chain hierarchical organization structure mapped from a real complex project is constructed. Then, a discrete decision model for a Liang Zong two-chain hierarchical organization in an NK model framework is proposed. This model proves that this kind of organization structure can reduce the search space by a large amount and that the search process should reach a final stable state more quickly. For a more complicated decision mechanism, a multi-agent simulation based on the above NK model is used to explore the effect of the two-chain organization structure on the speed, stability, and performance of the search process. The results provide three insights into how, compared with the single-chain hierarchical organization, the two-chain organization can improve the search process: it can reduce the number of iterations efficiently; the search is more stable because the search space is a smoother hill-like fitness landscape; in general, the search performance can be improved.However, when the organization structure is very complicated, the performance of a two-chain organization is inferior to that of a single-chain organization. These findings about the efficiency of the unique Chinese-style organization structure can be used to guide organization design for complex projects.展开更多
The increasing adoption of renewable energy has posed challenges for voltage regulation in power distribution networks.Gridaware energy management,which includes the control of smart inverters and energy management sy...The increasing adoption of renewable energy has posed challenges for voltage regulation in power distribution networks.Gridaware energy management,which includes the control of smart inverters and energy management systems,is a trending way to mitigate this problem.However,existing multi-agent reinforcement learning methods for grid-aware energy management have not sufficiently considered the importance of agent cooperation and the unique characteristics of the grid,which leads to limited performance.In this study,we propose a new approach named multi-agent hierarchical graph attention reinforcement learning framework(MAHGA)to stabilize the voltage.Specifically,under the paradigm of centralized training and decentralized execution,we model the power distribution network as a novel hierarchical graph containing the agent-level topology and the bus-level topology.Then a hierarchical graph attention model is devised to capture the complex correlation between agents.Moreover,we incorporate graph contrastive learning as an auxiliary task in the reinforcement learning process to improve representation learning from graphs.Experiments on several real-world scenarios reveal that our approach achieves the best performance and can reduce the number of voltage violations remarkably.展开更多

Therefore the results they provi...The quality of K-12 education has been a very big concern for years. Previous methods studied only one or two factors, such as school choice, or teacher quality, on school performance. Therefore the results they provide can be limited. We propose a multi-agent approach to integrate multiple actors in a school system. These actors include teachers, students, supporting staffs and administrators. The interactions among these actors compose a hierarchical school social network. We first detect the hierarchical community structure in this school network by using an agglomerative hierarchical algorithm. Existing agglomerative hierarchical algorithms usually calculate similarity or dissimilarity between two clusters by using some measure of distance between pairs of observations. We, however, develop a method that calculates similarity based on social interactions between interactions is essential in multi-agent systems. Our algorithm is applied to 15 school districts in Bexar County, Texas, and it provides satisfying results on generating the hierarchical structure of all school districts. We then use the detected structure of the social network to evaluate the school system’s organization performance. We design and implement a funding evaluation model to decompose the funding policy task into subtasks and then evaluate these subtasks by using funding distribution policies from past years and looking for possible relationships between student performances and funding policies. Experiments in the 15 school districts in Bexar County show no significant correlation between student performance and the amount of the funding a school district received.展开更多

Ocean, carrier, aircraft, and atmosphere are treated as aggregation agents, the detailed components like catapult, landing gears, and disturbances are considered as meta-agents, which belong to their aggregation agent. Thus, the model with two layers is formed i.e. the aggregation agent layer and the meta-agent layer. The information communication among all agents is described. The meta-agents within one aggregation agent communicate with each other directly by information sharing, but the meta-agents, which belong to different aggregation agents exchange their information through the aggregation layer first, and then perceive it from the sharing environment, that is the aggregation agent. Thus, not only the hierarchy model is built, but also the environment perceived by each agent is specified. Meanwhile, the problem of balancing the independency of agent and the resource consumption brought by real-time communication within multi-agent system (MAS) is resolved. Each agent involved in carrier-based aircraft catapult launch is depicted, with considering the interaction within disturbed atmospheric environment and multiple motion bodies including carrier, aircraft, and landing gears. The models of reactive agents among them are derived based on tensors, and the perceived messages and inner frameworks of each agent are characterized. Finally, some results of a simulation instance are given. The simulation and modeling of dynamic system based on multi-agent system is of benefit to express physical concepts and logical hierarchy clearly and precisely. The system model can easily draw in kinds of other agents to achieve a precise simulation of more complex system. This modeling technique makes the complex integral dynamic equations of multibodies decompose into parallel operations of single agent, and it is convenient to expand, maintain, and reuse the program codes.展开更多

文摘With the advent of sixth-generation mobile communications(6G),space-air-ground integrated networks have become mainstream.This paper focuses on collaborative scheduling for mobile edge computing(MEC)under a three-tier heterogeneous architecture composed of mobile devices,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),and macro base stations(BSs).This scenario typically faces fast channel fading,dynamic computational loads,and energy constraints,whereas classical queuing-theoretic or convex-optimization approaches struggle to yield robust solutions in highly dynamic settings.To address this issue,we formulate a multi-agent Markov decision process(MDP)for an air-ground-fused MEC system,unify link selection,bandwidth/power allocation,and task offloading into a continuous action space and propose a joint scheduling strategy that is based on an improved MATD3 algorithm.The improvements include Alternating Layer Normalization(ALN)in the actor to suppress gradient variance,Residual Orthogonalization(RO)in the critic to reduce the correlation between the twin Q-value estimates,and a dynamic-temperature reward to enable adaptive trade-offs during training.On a multi-user,dual-link simulation platform,we conduct ablation and baseline comparisons.The results reveal that the proposed method has better convergence and stability.Compared with MADDPG,TD3,and DSAC,our algorithm achieves more robust performance across key metrics.

文摘This paper investigates the consensus tracking control problem for high order nonlinear multi-agent systems subject to non-affine faults,partial measurable states,uncertain control coefficients,and unknown external disturbances.Under the directed topology conditions,an observer-based finite-time control strategy based on adaptive backstepping and is proposed,in which a neural network-based state observer is employed to approximate the unmeasurable system state variables.To address the complexity explosion problem associated with the backstepping method,a finite-time command filter is incorporated,with error compensation signals designed to mitigate the filter-induced errors.Additionally,the Butterworth low-pass filter is introduced to avoid the algebraic ring problem in the design of the controller.The finite-time stability of the closed-loop system is rigorously analyzed with the finite-time Lyapunov stability criterion,validating that all closed-loop signals of the system remain bounded within a finite time.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified through a simulation example.

文摘Digital twin technology brings more opportunities and challenges to chemical engineering in both academic and industry.A complex process could have multiple digitalization needs,including simulation,monitoring,operator training,etc.;thus,a hierarchical digital twin would be a comprehensive solution to that.In this study,a novel and general framework of the digital twin is proposed for operations in process industry.With the hierarchical structure,the framework can handle various tasks driven by different roles in process industry,including managers,engineers,and operators.To complete these tasks,the framework consists of three modules:OAS(Operation Analysis System),OMS(Operation Monitoring System),and OTS(Operator Training System).Each module focuses on one unique type of demand from the staff,as well as interactions among them enabling efficient data sharing.Based on the hierarchical framework,a digital twin system is applied for one complex industrial nitration process,which successfully enhances the operation efficiency and safety in several industrial scenarios with different demands.
文摘Modern business information systems face significant challenges in managing heterogeneous data sources,integrating disparate systems,and providing real-time decision support in complex enterprise environments.Contemporary enterprises typically operate 200+interconnected systems,with research indicating that 52% of organizations manage three or more enterprise content management systems,creating information silos that reduce operational efficiency by up to 35%.While attention mechanisms have demonstrated remarkable success in natural language processing and computer vision,their systematic application to business information systems remains largely unexplored.This paper presents the theoretical foundation for a Hierarchical Attention-Based Business Information System(HABIS)framework that applies multi-level attention mechanisms to enterprise environments.We provide a comprehensive mathematical formulation of the framework,analyze its computational complexity,and present a proof-of-concept implementation with simulation-based validation that demonstrates a 42% reduction in crosssystem query latency compared to legacy ERP modules and 70% improvement in prediction accuracy over baseline methods.The theoretical framework introduces four hierarchical attention levels:system-level attention for dynamic weighting of business systems,process-level attention for business process prioritization,data-level attention for critical information selection,and temporal attention for time-sensitive pattern recognition.Our complexity analysis demonstrates that the framework achieves O(n log n)computational complexity for attention computation,making it scalable to large enterprise environments including retail supply chains with 200+system-scale deployments.The proof-of-concept implementation validates the theoretical framework’s feasibility withMSE loss of 0.439 and response times of 0.000120 s per query,demonstrating its potential for addressing key challenges in business information systems.This work establishes a foundation for future empirical research and practical implementation of attention-driven enterprise systems.

文摘Accurate purchase prediction in e-commerce critically depends on the quality of behavioral features.This paper proposes a layered and interpretable feature engineering framework that organizes user signals into three layers:Basic,Conversion&Stability(efficiency and volatility across actions),and Advanced Interactions&Activity(crossbehavior synergies and intensity).Using real Taobao(Alibaba’s primary e-commerce platform)logs(57,976 records for 10,203 users;25 November–03 December 2017),we conducted a hierarchical,layer-wise evaluation that holds data splits and hyperparameters fixed while varying only the feature set to quantify each layer’s marginal contribution.Across logistic regression(LR),decision tree,random forest,XGBoost,and CatBoost models with stratified 5-fold cross-validation,the performance improvedmonotonically fromBasic to Conversion&Stability to Advanced features.With LR,F1 increased from 0.613(Basic)to 0.962(Advanced);boosted models achieved high discrimination(0.995 AUC Score)and an F1 score up to 0.983.Calibration and precision–recall analyses indicated strong ranking quality and acknowledged potential dataset and period biases given the short(9-day)window.By making feature contributions measurable and reproducible,the framework complements model-centric advances and offers a transparent blueprint for production-grade behavioralmodeling.The code and processed artifacts are publicly available,and future work will extend the validation to longer,seasonal datasets and hybrid approaches that combine automated feature learning with domain-driven design.

文摘In the context of modern software development characterized by increasing complexity and compressed development cycles,traditional static vulnerability detection methods face prominent challenges including high false positive rates and missed detections of complex logic due to their over-reliance on rule templates.This paper proposes a Syntax-Aware Hierarchical Attention Network(SAHAN)model,which achieves high-precision vulnerability detection through grammar-rule-driven multi-granularity code slicing and hierarchical semantic fusion mechanisms.The SAHAN model first generates Syntax Independent Units(SIUs),which slices the code based on Abstract Syntax Tree(AST)and predefined grammar rules,retaining vulnerability-sensitive contexts.Following this,through a hierarchical attention mechanism,the local syntax-aware layer encodes fine-grained patterns within SIUs,while the global semantic correlation layer captures vulnerability chains across SIUs,achieving synergistic modeling of syntax and semantics.Experiments show that on benchmark datasets like QEMU,SAHAN significantly improves detection performance by 4.8%to 13.1%on average compared to baseline models such as Devign and VulDeePecker.
文摘Multimodal dialogue systems often fail to maintain coherent reasoning over extended conversations and suffer from hallucination due to limited context modeling capabilities.Current approaches struggle with crossmodal alignment,temporal consistency,and robust handling of noisy or incomplete inputs across multiple modalities.We propose Multi Agent-Chain of Thought(CoT),a novel multi-agent chain-of-thought reasoning framework where specialized agents for text,vision,and speech modalities collaboratively construct shared reasoning traces through inter-agent message passing and consensus voting mechanisms.Our architecture incorporates self-reflection modules,conflict resolution protocols,and dynamic rationale alignment to enhance consistency,factual accuracy,and user engagement.The framework employs a hierarchical attention mechanism with cross-modal fusion and implements adaptive reasoning depth based on dialogue complexity.Comprehensive evaluations on Situated Interactive Multi-Modal Conversations(SIMMC)2.0,VisDial v1.0,and newly introduced challenging scenarios demonstrate statistically significant improvements in grounding accuracy(p<0.01),chain-of-thought interpretability,and robustness to adversarial inputs compared to state-of-the-art monolithic transformer baselines and existing multi-agent approaches.

文摘This paper investigates the distributed fault-tolerant containment control(FTCC)problem of nonlinear multi-agent systems(MASs)under a directed network topology.The proposed control framework which is independent on the global information about the communication topology consists of two layers.Different from most existing distributed fault-tolerant control(FTC)protocols where the fault in one agent may propagate over network,the developed control method can eliminate the phenomenon of fault propagation.Based on the hierarchical control strategy,the FTCC problem with a directed graph can be simplified to the distributed containment control of the upper layer and the fault-tolerant tracking control of the lower layer.Finally,simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control protocol.

文摘The existing containment control has been widely developed for several years, but ignores the case for large-scale cooperation. The strong coupling of large-scale networks will increase the costs of system detection and maintenance. Therefore, this paper is concerned with an extensional containment control issue, hierarchical containment control. It aims to enable a multitude of followers achieving a novel cooperation in the convex hull shaped by multiple leaders. Firstly, by constructing the three-layer topology, large-scale networks are decoupled. Then,under the condition of directed spanning group-tree, a class of dynamic hierarchical containment control protocol is designed such that the novel group-consensus behavior in the convex hull can be realized. Moreover, the definitions of coupling strength coefficients and the group-consensus parameter in the proposed dynamic hierarchical control protocol enhance the adjustability of systems. Compared with the existing containment control strategy, the proposed hierarchical containment control strategy improves dynamic control performance. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed hierarchical control protocol.

文摘Recent demand for wireless communication continues to grow rapidly as a result of the increasing number of users, the emergence of new user requirements, and the trend to new access technologies. At the same time, the electromagnetic spectrum or frequencies allocated for this purpose are still limited. This makes solving the frequency assignment problem more and more critical. In this paper, a new approach is proposed using self-organizing multi-agent systems to solve distributed dynamic channel-assignment;it concerns distribution among agents which task is to assign personal station to frequencies with respect to well known constraints. Agents only know their variables and the constraints affecting them, and have to negotiate to find a collective solution. The approach is based on a macro-level management taking the form of a hierarchical group of distributed agents in the network and handling all RANs (Regional Radio Access Network) in a localized region regardless of the operating band. The approach defines cooperative self-organization as the process leading the collective to the solution: agents can change the organization by their own decision to improve the state of the system. Our approach has been tested on PHEADEPHIA benchmarks of frequency assignment Problem. The results obtained are equivalent to those of current existing methods with the benefits that our approach shows more efficiency in terms of flexibility and autonomy.

文摘Different from the organization structure of complex projects in Western countries, the Liang Zong hierarchical organization structure of complex projects in China has two different chains, the chief-engineer chain and the general-director chain,to handle the trade-off between technical and management decisions. However, previous works on organization search have mainly focused on the single-chain hierarchical organization in which all decisions are regarded as homogeneous. The heterogeneity and the interdependency between technical decisions and management decisions have been neglected. A two-chain hierarchical organization structure mapped from a real complex project is constructed. Then, a discrete decision model for a Liang Zong two-chain hierarchical organization in an NK model framework is proposed. This model proves that this kind of organization structure can reduce the search space by a large amount and that the search process should reach a final stable state more quickly. For a more complicated decision mechanism, a multi-agent simulation based on the above NK model is used to explore the effect of the two-chain organization structure on the speed, stability, and performance of the search process. The results provide three insights into how, compared with the single-chain hierarchical organization, the two-chain organization can improve the search process: it can reduce the number of iterations efficiently; the search is more stable because the search space is a smoother hill-like fitness landscape; in general, the search performance can be improved.However, when the organization structure is very complicated, the performance of a two-chain organization is inferior to that of a single-chain organization. These findings about the efficiency of the unique Chinese-style organization structure can be used to guide organization design for complex projects.

文摘The increasing adoption of renewable energy has posed challenges for voltage regulation in power distribution networks.Gridaware energy management,which includes the control of smart inverters and energy management systems,is a trending way to mitigate this problem.However,existing multi-agent reinforcement learning methods for grid-aware energy management have not sufficiently considered the importance of agent cooperation and the unique characteristics of the grid,which leads to limited performance.In this study,we propose a new approach named multi-agent hierarchical graph attention reinforcement learning framework(MAHGA)to stabilize the voltage.Specifically,under the paradigm of centralized training and decentralized execution,we model the power distribution network as a novel hierarchical graph containing the agent-level topology and the bus-level topology.Then a hierarchical graph attention model is devised to capture the complex correlation between agents.Moreover,we incorporate graph contrastive learning as an auxiliary task in the reinforcement learning process to improve representation learning from graphs.Experiments on several real-world scenarios reveal that our approach achieves the best performance and can reduce the number of voltage violations remarkably.
文摘The quality of K-12 education has been a very big concern for years. Previous methods studied only one or two factors, such as school choice, or teacher quality, on school performance. Therefore the results they provide can be limited. We propose a multi-agent approach to integrate multiple actors in a school system. These actors include teachers, students, supporting staffs and administrators. The interactions among these actors compose a hierarchical school social network. We first detect the hierarchical community structure in this school network by using an agglomerative hierarchical algorithm. Existing agglomerative hierarchical algorithms usually calculate similarity or dissimilarity between two clusters by using some measure of distance between pairs of observations. We, however, develop a method that calculates similarity based on social interactions between interactions is essential in multi-agent systems. Our algorithm is applied to 15 school districts in Bexar County, Texas, and it provides satisfying results on generating the hierarchical structure of all school districts. We then use the detected structure of the social network to evaluate the school system’s organization performance. We design and implement a funding evaluation model to decompose the funding policy task into subtasks and then evaluate these subtasks by using funding distribution policies from past years and looking for possible relationships between student performances and funding policies. Experiments in the 15 school districts in Bexar County show no significant correlation between student performance and the amount of the funding a school district received.
文摘Based on ServiceBSP model, a hierarchical resource load balancing algorithm with Multi-Agent is put forward in this paper which achieves the goal of dynamic load balancing and favorable Fault-tolerant. The algorithm calculates the load value according to the attributes of resource and scheduling tasks relies on the load value, while updating the load information dynamically depending on Multi-Agent. The method avoids frequent communications on load information. Furthermore, the paper introduces the function of agents, relations and communications among agents in details. Finally, by comparing response time and distribution of load using proposed method with other available methods such as without no load balancing and load balancing only giving regards to CPU, the experimental simulation shows that the load balancing based on Multi-Agent possesses superior performance on response time and load balancing.

文摘With the aid of multi-agent based modeling approach to complex systems, the hierarchy simulation models of carrier-based aircraft catapult launch are developed. Ocean, carrier, aircraft, and atmosphere are treated as aggregation agents, the detailed components like catapult, landing gears, and disturbances are considered as meta-agents, which belong to their aggregation agent. Thus, the model with two layers is formed i.e. the aggregation agent layer and the meta-agent layer. The information communication among all agents is described. The meta-agents within one aggregation agent communicate with each other directly by information sharing, but the meta-agents, which belong to different aggregation agents exchange their information through the aggregation layer first, and then perceive it from the sharing environment, that is the aggregation agent. Thus, not only the hierarchy model is built, but also the environment perceived by each agent is specified. Meanwhile, the problem of balancing the independency of agent and the resource consumption brought by real-time communication within multi-agent system (MAS) is resolved. Each agent involved in carrier-based aircraft catapult launch is depicted, with considering the interaction within disturbed atmospheric environment and multiple motion bodies including carrier, aircraft, and landing gears. The models of reactive agents among them are derived based on tensors, and the perceived messages and inner frameworks of each agent are characterized. Finally, some results of a simulation instance are given. The simulation and modeling of dynamic system based on multi-agent system is of benefit to express physical concepts and logical hierarchy clearly and precisely. The system model can easily draw in kinds of other agents to achieve a precise simulation of more complex system. This modeling technique makes the complex integral dynamic equations of multibodies decompose into parallel operations of single agent, and it is convenient to expand, maintain, and reuse the program codes.
