Each component has a seed set. The seed in the set has the value of component, trail information and fitness. The ant chooses a seed from the seed set with the possibility determined by trail information and fitness of the seed. The genetic method is used to form new solutions from the solutions got by the ants. Best solutions are selected to update the seeds in the sets and trail information of the seeds. In updating the trail information, a diffusion function is used to achieve the diffuseness of trail information. The new algorithm is tested with 8 different benchmark functions.展开更多
Natural gas hydrate(NGH)has attracted much attention as a new alternative energy globally.However,evaluations of global NGH resources in the past few decades have casted a decreasing trend,where the estimate as of tod...Natural gas hydrate(NGH)has attracted much attention as a new alternative energy globally.However,evaluations of global NGH resources in the past few decades have casted a decreasing trend,where the estimate as of today is less than one ten-thousandth of the estimate forty years ago.The NGH researches in China started relatively late,but achievements have been made in the South China Sea(SCS)in the past two decades.Thirty-five studies had been carried out to evaluate NGH resource,and results showed a flat trend,ranging from 60 to 90 billion tons of oil equivalent,which was 2-3 times of the evaluation results of technical recoverable oil and gas resources in the SCS.The big difference is that the previous 35 group of NGH resource evaluations for the SCS only refers to the prospective gas resource with low grade level and high uncertainty,which cannot be used to guide exploration or researches on development strategies.Based on the analogy with the genetic mechanism of conventional oil and gas resources,this study adopts the newly proposed genetic method and geological analogy method to evaluate the NGH resource.Results show that the conventional oil and gas resources are 346.29×10^(8)t,the volume of NGH and free dynamic field are 25.19×10^(4)km^(3) and(2.05-2.48)×10^(6)km^(3),and the total amount of in-situ NGH resources in the SCS is about(4.47-6.02)×10^(12)m^(3).It is considered that the resource of hydrate should not exceed that of conventional oil and gas,so it is 30 times lower than the previous estimate.This study provides a more reliable geological basis for further NGH exploration and development.展开更多

From the observed vertical d...The Second Crustal Deformation Monitoring Center, China Seismological Bureau, has detected a marked uplift associated with the Gonghe Ms=7.0 earthquake on April 26, 1990, Qinghai Province. From the observed vertical deformations and using a rectangular uniform slip model in a homogeneous elastic half space, we first employ genetic algorithms (GA) to infer the approximate global optimal solution, and further use least squares method to get more accurate global optimal solution by taking the approximate solution of GA as the initial parameters of least squares. The inversion results show that the causative fault of Gonghe Ms=7.0 earthquake is a right-lateral reverse fault with strike NW60°, dip SW and dip angle 37°, the coseismic fracture length, width and slip are 37 km, 6 km and 2.7 m respectively. Combination of GA and least squares algorithms is an effective joint inversion method, which could not only escape from local optimum of least squares, but also solve the slow convergence problem of GA after reaching adjacency of global optimal solution.展开更多
The consistency of the cell has a significant impact on battery capacity,endurance,overall performance,safety,and service life extension.However,it is challenging to identify cells with high consistency and no loss of...The consistency of the cell has a significant impact on battery capacity,endurance,overall performance,safety,and service life extension.However,it is challenging to identify cells with high consistency and no loss of battery energy.This paper presents a cell screening algorithm that integrates genetic and numerical differentiation techniques.Initially,a mathematical model for battery consistency is established,and a multi-step charging strategy is proposed to satisfy the demands of fast charging technology.Subsequently,the genetic algorithm simulates biological evolution to efficiently search for superior cell combinations within a short time while evaluating capacity,voltage consistency,and charge/discharge efficiency.Finally,through experimental validation and comparative analysis with similar algorithms,our proposed method demonstrates notable advantages in terms of both search efficiency and performance.展开更多

In this article I will address the issue of the meaning of Embodied Artificial Intelligence(EAI)as it is configured today.My starting point is the refined interactive perspective on the semantics of EAI,as was recentl...In this article I will address the issue of the meaning of Embodied Artificial Intelligence(EAI)as it is configured today.My starting point is the refined interactive perspective on the semantics of EAI,as was recently suggested by Froese and colleagues.This perspective rests on the assumption that the concept of human bodily subjectivity must be extended to include meaning-making processes,which are enabled by advanced AI systems that may be incorporated in the human biological body.After having clarified the technical background,I will introduce the genetic component of the phenomenological method as a suitable tool to face the aforementioned issue.Towards this end,I will place the genetic method in the context of the so-called New Human-Machine Interaction(New HMI).I will further outline a genetic phenomenology of visual embodiment,suggesting a futuristic application based on the thesis of the“technological supplementation of phenomenological methodology”through the synthetic method.The case at stake is that of patients with a severe clinical picture characterised by the loss of corneal function,who in the near future could be treated with synthetic corneal prosthetic implants produced by a 3D bio-printing process by using an advanced EAI technique.I will conclude this article with a brief review of the main problems that still remain open.展开更多

The performance of a GA depends largely on the selection of the genetic operators. We test various operators and propose optimal operators. However, the current works mainly focus on the scheduling of imaging satellites, little work focuses on the scheduling of EDSes for its specific requirements.And current works mainly schedule satellite resources and data down-link resources separately, not considering them in a globally optimal perspective. The EDSes and data down-link resources are scheduled in an integrated process and the scheduling result is searched globally. Considering the specific constraints of EDS, a coordinate scheduling model for EDS observation tasks and data transmission jobs is established and an algorithm based on the genetic algorithm is proposed. Furthermore, the convergence of our algorithm is proved. To deal with some specific constraints, a solution repairing algorithm of polynomial computing time is designed. The dialytic method along with Denavit-Hartenberg parameters can be used to obtain these equations efficiently. A genetic algorithm (GA) has been used to solve the problem of spatial mechanisms synthesis. Two types of mechanisms, e.g., RSCR and RSPC (R: revolute; S: spherical; C: cylindrical; P: prismatic), have illustrated the application of the GA to solve the problem of function generation and path generation. In some cases, the GA method becomes trapped in a local minimum. A combined GA-fuzzy logic (GA-FL) method is then used to improve the final result. The results show that GAs, combined with an adequate description of the mechanism, are well suited for spatial mechanism synthesis problems and have neither difficulties inherent to the choice of the initial feasible guess, nor a problem of convergence, as it is the case for deterministic methods.展开更多

In this paper, the element distribution characteristic over the aperture of many optimum thinned arrays is studied, then the aperture release model is founded by the least square method to synthesize the thinned arrays. The next, by fitting the measured data, the boundary forces that influenced the distribution of the stress field in this region has been studied using inversion method. The inversion results showed the following messages: the effect of the boundary force between the blocks is the main determinative factor for the recent tectonic stress field in Shanxi and the regional material and its property is a secondary factor; the horizontal main stress of tectonic stress field in Shanxi region is consistent with the stretch of fault basins.展开更多
Objective:Observational studies have reported conflicting results on the association between leukocyte telomere length(LTL)and polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).This study evaluated the causal effect of LTL on PCOS in E...Objective:Observational studies have reported conflicting results on the association between leukocyte telomere length(LTL)and polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).This study evaluated the causal effect of LTL on PCOS in European and East Asian populations using Mendelian randomization(MR).Methods:Genetic variants for LTL were selected as instrumental variables from the largest genome-wide association study(GWAS)from the UK Biobank(472,174 participants)and a Singapore Chinese GWAS(23,096 participants).Two-sample MR analysis was performed in a PCOS cohort of European ancestry(4,138 cases and 20,129 controls),with replication analyses in a Northern European PCOS cohort(3,609 cases and 229,788 controls)and in a Chinese PCOS cohort(4,386 cases and 8,017 controls).A reverse MR study was conducted to test the effect of PCOS on LTL.Results:In the PCOS cohort of European ancestry,genetically determined longer LTL was associated with lower risk of PCOS according to the inverse-variance weighted method[odds ratio(OR),0.709;95%confidence interval(CI),0.506 to 0.992;P=0.045].The results remained directionally consistent in sensitivity analyses using different MR methods.In the Northern European replication cohort,a significant association was also found between genetically determined longer LTL and lower risk of PCOS via the MR-Egger method(OR,0.580;95%CI,0.351 to 0.961;P=0.038).Similar associations were observed in the East Asian replication cohort but did not reach nominal significance.In the reverse MR analysis,no evidence of associations was observed between genetically determined PCOS and LTL in either Europeans or East Asians.Conclusion:This study revealed evidence supporting a causal role of LTL in the etiology of PCOS.展开更多
Malaria was once one of the most serious public health problems in China,with more than 30 million malaria cases annually before 1949.However,the disease burden has sharply declined and the epidemic areas has shrunken...Malaria was once one of the most serious public health problems in China,with more than 30 million malaria cases annually before 1949.However,the disease burden has sharply declined and the epidemic areas has shrunken after the implementation of an integrated malaria control and elimination strategy,especially since 2000.Till now,China has successfully scaled up its efforts to become malaria-free and is currently being evaluated for malaria-free certification by the WHO.In the battle against malaria,China's efforts have spanned generations,reducing from an incidence high of 122.9/10000(6.97 million cases)in 1954 to 0.06/10000(7855 cases)in 2010.In 2017,for the first time,China reached zero indigenous case of malaria,putting the country on track to record three consecutive years of zero transmission by 2020,accoding to the National Malaria Elimination Action Plan(2010-2020).China's efforts to eliminate malaria is impressive,and the country is dedicated to sharing its lessons learned in malaria elimination-including,but not limited to,the application of novel genetics-based approaches-with other nations through new initiatives.China will promote international relationships and establish collaborative platforms on a wide range of topics in roughly 65 countries,including 20 African nations.China's experience in applying innovative genetics-based approaches and tools to characterize malaria parasite populations,including surveillance of markers related to drug resistance,categorization of cases as indigenous or imported,and objective identification of the likely sources of infections to inform efforts towards malaria control and elimination in Africa could offer game-changing results when applied to settings with ongoing transmission.展开更多

文摘Malaria was once one of the most serious public health problems in China,with more than 30 million malaria cases annually before 1949.However,the disease burden has sharply declined and the epidemic areas has shrunken after the implementation of an integrated malaria control and elimination strategy,especially since 2000.Till now,China has successfully scaled up its efforts to become malaria-free and is currently being evaluated for malaria-free certification by the WHO.In the battle against malaria,China's efforts have spanned generations,reducing from an incidence high of 122.9/10000(6.97 million cases)in 1954 to 0.06/10000(7855 cases)in 2010.In 2017,for the first time,China reached zero indigenous case of malaria,putting the country on track to record three consecutive years of zero transmission by 2020,accoding to the National Malaria Elimination Action Plan(2010-2020).China's efforts to eliminate malaria is impressive,and the country is dedicated to sharing its lessons learned in malaria elimination-including,but not limited to,the application of novel genetics-based approaches-with other nations through new initiatives.China will promote international relationships and establish collaborative platforms on a wide range of topics in roughly 65 countries,including 20 African nations.China's experience in applying innovative genetics-based approaches and tools to characterize malaria parasite populations,including surveillance of markers related to drug resistance,categorization of cases as indigenous or imported,and objective identification of the likely sources of infections to inform efforts towards malaria control and elimination in Africa could offer game-changing results when applied to settings with ongoing transmission.
