To speed up the convergence and avoid local minimum of the neural network, this paper uses a genetic algorithm to find the optimal initial weights and thresholds and then uses the BP Mgorithm to train the neural network according to the data given. The proposed method can effectively combine the good global searching ability of genetic algorithms with the accurate local searching feature of BP neural network. The Simulink model for PUMA560 robot visual servo system based on the improved BP neural network is built with the Robotics Toolbox of Matlab. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method can accelerate convergence of the image errors and provide a simple and effective way of robot control.展开更多

The proposed design scheme optimizes various parameters belonging to different domains (that is, link geometry, mass distribution, moment of inertia, control gains) concurrently to design manipulator, which can track some given paths accurately with a minimum power consumption. The main strength of this study lies with the design of an integrated scheme to solve the above problem. Both real-coded Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization are used to solve this complex optimization problem. Four approaches have been developed and their performances are compared. Particle Swarm Optimization is found to perform better than the Genetic Algorithm, as the former carries out both global and local searches simultaneously, whereas the latter concentrates mainly on the global search. Controllers with adaptive gain values have shown better performance compared to the conventional ones, as expected.展开更多

In this paper, a series-parallel hybrid electric bus as well as its control strategy is revealed, and a control parameter optimization approach using the real-valued genetic algorithm is proposed. The optimization objective is to minimize the fuel consumption while sustain the battery state of charge, a tangent penalty function of state of charge(SOC) is embodied in the objective function to recast this multi-objective nonlinear optimization problem as a single linear optimization problem. For this strategy, the vehicle operating mode is switched based on the vehicle speed, and an "optimal line" typed strategy is designed for the parallel control. The optimization parameters include the speed threshold for mode switching, the highest state of charge allowed, the lowest state of charge allowed and the scale factor of the engine optimal torque to the engine maximum torque at a rotational speed. They are optimized through numerical experiments based on real-value genes, arithmetic crossover and mutation operators. The hybrid bus has been evaluated at the Chinese Transit Bus City Driving Cycle via road test, in which a control area network-based monitor system was used to trace the driving schedule. The test result shows that this approach is feasible for the control parameter optimization. This approach can be applied to not only the novel construction presented in this paper, but also other types of hybrid electric vehicles.展开更多

Initially, standard genetic algorithms (SGAs) are used to identify control oriented models of the plant which are subsequently used for controller optimisa- tion. An individual tuning approach without loop interaction is considered first to categorise the genetic operators, cost functions and improve searching boundaries to attain the desired performance criteria. The second tuning approach considers controller parameters optimisation with loop interaction and individual cost functions. While, the third tuning approach utilises a modified cost function which includes the total effect of both controlled variables, glass temperature and excess oxygen. Simplified vector control, which has simple control structure, is utilized as the permanent magnet synchronous motor control algorithm and genetic algorithm is used to tune three PI controllers used in simplified vector control. The control performance is obtained from simulation and investigated to verify the feasibility of the algorithm to be applied in the real application. Simulation results show that the speed and torque responses of the system in both continuous time and discrete time can achieve good performances. Furthermore, simplified vector control combined with genetic algorithm has a similar perfofmance with conventional field oriented control algorithm and possible to be realized into the real simple application in the future.展开更多

To search the problem domain more evenly and uniformly, the lattice rule based stratification method is used to create new chromosomes. The chromosomes are coded and updated according to quantuminspired strategies. A niching method is used to ensure every chromosome can converge to its corresponding local minimum in the optimization process. A parallel archive system is adopted to monitor the chromosomes on-line and save all potential feasible solutions in the optimization process. An adaptive search strategy is used to gradually adjust the search domain of each niche to finally approach the local minima. The solutions found by the QGA are compared with some other Multimodal Optimization(MO) algorithms and are tested on the FCS of the Boeing 747 to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

With the aid of the genetic algorithm (GA) that has the powerful global adaptive probabilistic search ability, 24 parameters of the robot are identified through simulation, which makes the pose (position and orientation) accuracy of the robot a great improvement. In the process of the calibration, stochastic measurement noises are considered. Lastly, generalization of the identified kinematic parameters in the whole workspace of the robot is discussed. The simulation results show that calibrating the robot with GA is very stable and not sensitive to measurement noise. Moreover, even if the robot's kinematic parameters are relative, GA still has strong search ability to find the optimum solution.展开更多

However, the DL netowrks have many parameters, which have a lot of influence on the performance of the network. We propose a genetic algorithm(GA) based deep belief neural network(DBNN) method for robot object recognition and grasping purpose. This method optimizes the parameters of the DBNN method, such as the number of hidden units, the number of epochs, and the learning rates, which would reduce the error rate and the network training time of object recognition. After recognizing objects, the robot performs the pick-andplace operations. We build a database of six objects for experimental purpose. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms on the optimized robot object recognition and grasping tasks.展开更多

Among the most evoked control strategies adopted in this field to overcome these drawbacks presented in classical drive, it is worth mentioning the use of the second order sliding mode control(SOSMC) based on the super twisting algorithm(STA) combined with the fuzzy logic control(FSOSMC). In order to realize the optimal control performance, the FSOSMC parameters are adjusted using an optimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm(GA). The performances of the envisaged control scheme, called G-FSOSMC, are investigated against G-SOSMC, G-PI and BBO-FSOSMC algorithms. The proposed controller scheme is efficient in reducing the torque and flux ripples, and successfully suppresses chattering. The effects of parametric uncertainties do not affect system performance.展开更多

Combining with the characteristics of genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO), a three-stage calibration method based on hybrid intelligent optimization is pro- posed for nonlinear camera models in this paper. The motivation is to improve the accuracy of the calibration process. In this approach, the stereo vision calibration is considered as an optimization problem that can be solved by the GA and PSO. The initial linear values can be obtained in the frost stage. Then in the second stage, two cameras' parameters are optimized separately. Finally, the in- tegrated optimized calibration of two models is obtained in the third stage. Direct linear transforma- tion (DLT), GA and PSO are individually used in three stages. It is shown that the results of every stage can correctly find near-optimal solution and it can be used to initialize the next stage. Simula- tion analysis and actual experimental results indicate that this calibration method works more accu- rate and robust in noisy environment compared with traditional calibration methods. The proposed method can fulfill the requirements of robot sophisticated visual operation.展开更多

Firstly, based on visual neighbor point (VNP), a numerical artificial potential field is constructed in Cartesian space, which provides the heuristic information, effective distance to the goal and the motion direction for the motion of the robot joints. Secondly, a genetic algorithm, combined with the heuristic rules, is used in joint space to determine a series of contiguous configurations piecewise from initial configuration until the goal configuration is attained. At the same time, the multi-objective-based evaluation function is adopted, in which there are three main indicators including the passenger waiting time, car passengers number and the number of stops. Different weights are given to meet the actual needs. The optimal values of the evaluation function are obtained, and the optimal dispatch control of the elevator group control system based on neural network is realized. 文摘Aiming at dealing with the difficulty for traditional emergency rescue vehicle(ECV)to enter into limited rescue scenes,the electro-hydraulic steer-by-wire(SBW)system is introduced to achieve the multi-mode steering of the ECV.The overall structure and mathematical model of the SBW system are described at length.The fractional order proportional-integral-derivative(FOPID)controller based on fractional calculus theory is designed to control the steering cylinder’s movement in SBW system.The anti-windup problem is considered in the FOPID controller design to reduce the bad influence of saturation.Five parameters of the FOPID controller are optimized using the genetic algorithm by maximizing the fitness function which involves integral of time by absolute value error(ITAE),peak overshoot,as well as settling time.The time-domain simulations are implemented to identify the performance of the raised FOPID controller.The simulation results indicate the presented FOPID controller possesses more effective control properties than classical proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller on the part of transient response,tracking capability and robustness.

文摘The kinematic error model of a 6-DOF space robot is deduced, and the cost function of kinematic parameter identification is built. With the aid of the genetic algorithm (GA) that has the powerful global adaptive probabilistic search ability, 24 parameters of the robot are identified through simulation, which makes the pose (position and orientation) accuracy of the robot a great improvement. In the process of the calibration, stochastic measurement noises are considered. Lastly, generalization of the identified kinematic parameters in the whole workspace of the robot is discussed. The simulation results show that calibrating the robot with GA is very stable and not sensitive to measurement noise. Moreover, even if the robot's kinematic parameters are relative, GA still has strong search ability to find the optimum solution.
文摘The performance of deep learning(DL)networks has been increased by elaborating the network structures. However, the DL netowrks have many parameters, which have a lot of influence on the performance of the network. We propose a genetic algorithm(GA) based deep belief neural network(DBNN) method for robot object recognition and grasping purpose. This method optimizes the parameters of the DBNN method, such as the number of hidden units, the number of epochs, and the learning rates, which would reduce the error rate and the network training time of object recognition. After recognizing objects, the robot performs the pick-andplace operations. We build a database of six objects for experimental purpose. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms on the optimized robot object recognition and grasping tasks.

文摘The direct torque control of the dual star induction motor(DTC-DSIM) using conventional PI controllers is characterized by unsatisfactory performance, such as high ripples of torque and flux, and sensitivity to parametric variations. Among the most evoked control strategies adopted in this field to overcome these drawbacks presented in classical drive, it is worth mentioning the use of the second order sliding mode control(SOSMC) based on the super twisting algorithm(STA) combined with the fuzzy logic control(FSOSMC). In order to realize the optimal control performance, the FSOSMC parameters are adjusted using an optimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm(GA). The performances of the envisaged control scheme, called G-FSOSMC, are investigated against G-SOSMC, G-PI and BBO-FSOSMC algorithms. The proposed controller scheme is efficient in reducing the torque and flux ripples, and successfully suppresses chattering. The effects of parametric uncertainties do not affect system performance.
文摘Accurate stereo vision calibration is a preliminary step towards high-precision visual posi- tioning of robot. Combining with the characteristics of genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO), a three-stage calibration method based on hybrid intelligent optimization is pro- posed for nonlinear camera models in this paper. The motivation is to improve the accuracy of the calibration process. In this approach, the stereo vision calibration is considered as an optimization problem that can be solved by the GA and PSO. The initial linear values can be obtained in the frost stage. Then in the second stage, two cameras' parameters are optimized separately. Finally, the in- tegrated optimized calibration of two models is obtained in the third stage. Direct linear transforma- tion (DLT), GA and PSO are individually used in three stages. It is shown that the results of every stage can correctly find near-optimal solution and it can be used to initialize the next stage. Simula- tion analysis and actual experimental results indicate that this calibration method works more accu- rate and robust in noisy environment compared with traditional calibration methods. The proposed method can fulfill the requirements of robot sophisticated visual operation.

文摘A novel approach for collision-free path planning of a multiple degree-of-freedom (DOF) articulated robot in a complex environment is proposed. Firstly, based on visual neighbor point (VNP), a numerical artificial potential field is constructed in Cartesian space, which provides the heuristic information, effective distance to the goal and the motion direction for the motion of the robot joints. Secondly, a genetic algorithm, combined with the heuristic rules, is used in joint space to determine a series of contiguous configurations piecewise from initial configuration until the goal configuration is attained. A simulation shows that the method can not only handle issues on path planning of the articulated robots in environment with complex obstacles, but also improve the efficiency and quality of path planning.

文摘Aiming at the diversity and nonlinearity of the elevator system control target, an effective group method based on a hybrid algorithm of genetic algorithm and neural network is presented in this paper. The genetic algorithm is used to search the weight of the neural network. At the same time, the multi-objective-based evaluation function is adopted, in which there are three main indicators including the passenger waiting time, car passengers number and the number of stops. Different weights are given to meet the actual needs. The optimal values of the evaluation function are obtained, and the optimal dispatch control of the elevator group control system based on neural network is realized. By analyzing the running of the elevator group control system, all the processes and steps are presented. The validity of the hybrid algorithm is verified by the dynamic imitation performance.

文摘This paper presents a nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC) approach based on support vector machine(SVM) and genetic algorithm(GA) for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) nonlinear systems.Individual SVM is used to approximate each output of the controlled plant Then the model is used in MPC control scheme to predict the outputs of the controlled plant.The optimal control sequence is calculated using GA with elite preserve strategy.Simulation results of a typical MIMO nonlinear system show that this method has a good ability of set points tracking and disturbance rejection.
