The generation of high-quality,realistic face generation has emerged as a key field of research in computer vision.This paper proposes a robust approach that combines a Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Network(...The generation of high-quality,realistic face generation has emerged as a key field of research in computer vision.This paper proposes a robust approach that combines a Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Network(SRGAN)with a Pyramid Attention Module(PAM)to enhance the quality of deep face generation.The SRGAN framework is designed to improve the resolution of generated images,addressing common challenges such as blurriness and a lack of intricate details.The Pyramid Attention Module further complements the process by focusing on multi-scale feature extraction,enabling the network to capture finer details and complex facial features more effectively.The proposed method was trained and evaluated over 100 epochs on the CelebA dataset,demonstrating consistent improvements in image quality and a marked decrease in generator and discriminator losses,reflecting the model’s capacity to learn and synthesize high-quality images effectively,given adequate computational resources.Experimental outcome demonstrates that the SRGAN model with PAM module has outperformed,yielding an aggregate discriminator loss of 0.055 for real,0.043 for fake,and a generator loss of 10.58 after training for 100 epochs.The model has yielded an structural similarity index measure of 0.923,that has outperformed the other models that are considered in the current study for analysis.展开更多

The proposed method,based on the optimized multi-index modulation, does not limit the number of signals in the first and second constellations and abandons the concept of limiting the number of signals in different constellations. It successfully increases the spectrum efficiency of the system while expanding the number of modulation symbol combinations and the index dimension of PSWFs signals. The proposed method outperforms the PSWFs multi-carrier index modulation method based on optimized multiple indexes in terms of spectrum efficiency, but at the expense of system computational complexity and bit error performance. For example, with n=10 subcarriers and a bit error rate of 1×10^(-5),spectral efficiency can be raised by roughly 12.4%.展开更多

In the BICGSM-ID scheme, the information bits conveyed by the signal-domain(SiD) symbols and the spatial-domain(SpD) light emitting diode(LED)-index patterns are coded by a protograph low-density parity-check(P-LDPC) code. Specifically, we propose a signal-domain symbol expanding and re-allocating(SSER) method for constructing a type of novel generalized spatial modulation(GSM) constellations, referred to as SSERGSM constellations, so as to boost the performance of the BICGSM-ID MIMO-VLC systems.Moreover, by applying a modified PEXIT(MPEXIT) algorithm, we further design a family of rate-compatible P-LDPC codes, referred to as enhanced accumulate-repeat-accumulate(EARA) codes,which possess both excellent decoding thresholds and linear-minimum-distance-growth property. Both analysis and simulation results illustrate that the proposed SSERGSM constellations and P-LDPC codes can remarkably improve the convergence and decoding performance of MIMO-VLC systems. Therefore, the proposed P-LDPC-coded SSERGSM-mapped BICGSMID configuration is envisioned as a promising transmission solution to satisfy the high-throughput requirement of MIMO-VLC applications.展开更多

In order to realize further stability of a stack-type thermoelectric power generating module (i.e. no electrical connections inside), flexible materials of metal springs and/or rods having restoring forces were instal...In order to realize further stability of a stack-type thermoelectric power generating module (i.e. no electrical connections inside), flexible materials of metal springs and/or rods having restoring forces were installed between lower-temperature-sides of thermoelectric elements. These flexible materials were expected to play three important roles of interpolating different thermal expansions of the module components, enlarging heat removal area and penetration of any media through themselves. Then, a low-boiling-point medium (i.e. NOVEC manufactured by 3M Japan Ltd.) was also applied for a high-speed direct heat removal via its phase change from the lower-temperature-sides of the thermoelectric elements in the proposing stack-type thermoelectric power generating module. No electrical disconnections inside the module were confirmed for more than 9 years of use, indicating further module stability. The power generating density was improved to about 120 mW·m-2 with SUS304 springs having 0.7 mm diameter. Increasing power generating density can be expected in terms of suitable selection of flexible metal with high Vickers hardness, cavities control on the spring surface, more vigorous multiphase flow with adding powders to the medium and optimization of the module configurations according to numerical simulations.展开更多
Background: Health related quality of life (HRQOL) has become a field of extensive research involving children and adolescents with diabetes. There are no HRQOL instruments designed or adapted for the Arabic culture a...Background: Health related quality of life (HRQOL) has become a field of extensive research involving children and adolescents with diabetes. There are no HRQOL instruments designed or adapted for the Arabic culture and language. The objectives of the study are to test the Arabic translated version of the PedsQLTM 4.0 Generic Core Scales (GCS) and the PedsQLTM 3.0 Diabetes Module (DM) in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1DM) in Kuwait and analyse their psychometric properties. Methods: After the process of translation, committee review and pre-testing (linguistic validation), 131 children and adolescents with and 104 without T1DM, with their parents completed the Arabic version of GCS. Those with T1DM completed the Arabic DM. Demographic and diabetes-related data were collected using specially designed questionnaires. Internal consistency was checked by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The intraclass correlations coefficient, celling and floor effects and construct validity were assessed to determine the psychometric properties of both instruments. Results: Cronbach’s alpha of the child self-report and parent proxy-report was greater than 0.70, for both instruments, indicating internal consistency reliability. Items of both instruments had minimal missing responses, and required a brief time (5 - 7 minutes) to finish indicating their feasibility. No floor effect was demonstrated. Ceiling effect ranged from 5.8% to 15.8%. The GCS distinguished between healthy and diabetic children. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) between child self-report and parent proxy-report of GCS scores showed good to excellent agreement, p < 0.001. However, in the DM reports, the correlation was lower, but still significant. Girls reported lower HRQOL scores in worries and communication subscales of the diabetes module than boys, p < 0.05. Conclusions: The Arabic version of the PedsQL GCS and PedsQL DM showed sufficient feasibility, reliability and validity to be used for research purposes in public health setting for children 2 - 18 years old and their parents.展开更多

文摘A hybrid control strategy has been designed and developed for the electro-hydraulic posi-tion servo control system with generalized Pulse code modulation(GPCM),which is suitable for the area where the work condition is poor and a large flow rate is required.It is difficult to control the GPCM system because the system is discrete.With consideration of the stability and speediness of the GPCM position servo control system,a control strategy is developed through the theoretical and ex-perimental analyses.The control strategy integrates the merits of Bang-Bang control,PID control and fuzzy control.With this hybrid control strategy,the electro hydraulic control system has good per-formances,and the servo control is carried out with GPCM through on-off valves.

文摘In this paper,Index Modulation(IM)aided Generalized Space-Time Block Coding(GSTBC)is proposed,which intrinsically exploits the benefits of IM concept,diversity gain and spatial multiplexing gain.Specifically,the information bits are partitioned into U groups,with each being modulated by IM symbols(i.e.Spatial Modulation(SM),Quadrature SM(QSM),etc).Next,the structure of GSTBC is invoked for each K IM symbol,and a total ofμ=U/K GSTBC codes are transmitted via T time slots.A Block Expectation Propagation(B-EP)detector is designed for the proposed IM-GSTBC structure.Moreover,the theoretical Average Bit Error Probability(ABEP)is derived for our IM-GSTBC system,which is confirmed by the simulation results and helpful for performance evaluation.Simulation results show that our proposed IM-GSTBC system is capable of striking an efficient trade-off between spatial multiplexing gain,spatial diversity gain as well as implementation cost imposed for both small-scale and large-scale MIMO antenna configurations.

文摘Gray mapping is a well-known way to improve the performance of regular constellation modulation,but it is challenging to be applied directly for irregular alternative.To address this issue,in this paper,a unified bit-to-symbol mapping method is designed for generalized constellation modulation(i.e.,regular and irregular shaping).The objective of the proposed approach is to minimize the average bit error probability by reducing the hamming distance(HD)of symbols with larger values of pairwise error probability.Simulation results show that the conventional constellation modulation(i.e.,phase shift keying and quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM)with the proposed mapping rule yield the same performance as that of classical gray mapping.Moreover,the recently developed golden angle modulation(GAM)with the proposed mapping method is capable of providing around1 d B gain over the conventional mapping counterpart and offers comparable performance to QAM with Gray mapping.

文摘Generalized Space Shift Keying(GSSK)modulation is a low-complexity spatial nmltiplexing technique for nmltiple-antenna wireless systems.However,effective transmit antenna combinations have to be preselected,and there exist redundant antenna combinations which are not used in GSSK.In this paper,a novel adaptive mapping scheme for GSSK modulation,named as Adaptive Mapping Generalized Space Shift Keying(AMGSSK),is presented.Compared with GSSK,the antenna combinations are updated adaptively according to the Channel State Inforrmtion(CSI)in the proposed AMGSSK system,and the perfonrance of average Symbol Error Rate(SER)is reduced considerably.In the proposed scheme,two algorithrrs for selecting the optimum antenna combinations are described.The SER perfonmnce of AMGSSK is analyzed theoretically,and validated by Monte Carlo sinmlation.It is shown that the proposed AMGSSK scheme has good perfonmnce in SER and spectral efficiency.

文摘In order to realize further stability of a stack-type thermoelectric power generating module (i.e. no electrical connections inside), flexible materials of metal springs and/or rods having restoring forces were installed between lower-temperature-sides of thermoelectric elements. These flexible materials were expected to play three important roles of interpolating different thermal expansions of the module components, enlarging heat removal area and penetration of any media through themselves. Then, a low-boiling-point medium (i.e. NOVEC manufactured by 3M Japan Ltd.) was also applied for a high-speed direct heat removal via its phase change from the lower-temperature-sides of the thermoelectric elements in the proposing stack-type thermoelectric power generating module. No electrical disconnections inside the module were confirmed for more than 9 years of use, indicating further module stability. The power generating density was improved to about 120 mW·m-2 with SUS304 springs having 0.7 mm diameter. Increasing power generating density can be expected in terms of suitable selection of flexible metal with high Vickers hardness, cavities control on the spring surface, more vigorous multiphase flow with adding powders to the medium and optimization of the module configurations according to numerical simulations.
文摘Background: Health related quality of life (HRQOL) has become a field of extensive research involving children and adolescents with diabetes. There are no HRQOL instruments designed or adapted for the Arabic culture and language. The objectives of the study are to test the Arabic translated version of the PedsQLTM 4.0 Generic Core Scales (GCS) and the PedsQLTM 3.0 Diabetes Module (DM) in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1DM) in Kuwait and analyse their psychometric properties. Methods: After the process of translation, committee review and pre-testing (linguistic validation), 131 children and adolescents with and 104 without T1DM, with their parents completed the Arabic version of GCS. Those with T1DM completed the Arabic DM. Demographic and diabetes-related data were collected using specially designed questionnaires. Internal consistency was checked by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The intraclass correlations coefficient, celling and floor effects and construct validity were assessed to determine the psychometric properties of both instruments. Results: Cronbach’s alpha of the child self-report and parent proxy-report was greater than 0.70, for both instruments, indicating internal consistency reliability. Items of both instruments had minimal missing responses, and required a brief time (5 - 7 minutes) to finish indicating their feasibility. No floor effect was demonstrated. Ceiling effect ranged from 5.8% to 15.8%. The GCS distinguished between healthy and diabetic children. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) between child self-report and parent proxy-report of GCS scores showed good to excellent agreement, p < 0.001. However, in the DM reports, the correlation was lower, but still significant. Girls reported lower HRQOL scores in worries and communication subscales of the diabetes module than boys, p < 0.05. Conclusions: The Arabic version of the PedsQL GCS and PedsQL DM showed sufficient feasibility, reliability and validity to be used for research purposes in public health setting for children 2 - 18 years old and their parents.
文摘为了解决传统的两级式光伏交流模块PV AC module存在的结构复杂、成本高、效率低等问题,提出了一种新型PV AC module。该AC module的前级为传统的Boost变换器,完成光伏组件的最大功率点跟踪和光伏接口电压的泵升;后级采用高增益集成式逆变器,实现直流母线电压的泵升和并网发电功能。分析了PV AC module的系统结构,工作原理及控制策略,并通过一套250 W/40 kHz的样机仿真模型,验证了方案的可行性与理论分析的正确性。研究结果表明:该新型PV AC module具有结构简洁、控制简单、成本低、效率高等优点。
