The diagnostic problem in generalized nonlinear models based on the maximum Lq-likelihood estimation is considered. Three diagnostic statistics are used to detect whether the outliers exist in the data set. Simulation results show that when the sample size is small, the values of diagnostic statistics based on the maximum Lq-likelihood estimation are greater than the values based on the maximum likelihood estimation. As the sample size increases, the difference between the values of the diagnostic statistics based on two estimation methods diminishes gradually. It means that the outliers can be distinguished easier through the maximum Lq-likelihood method than those through the maximum likelihood estimation method.展开更多

A...In this paper, we study the higher dimensional nonlinear Rossby waves under the generalized beta effect.Using methods of the multiple scales and weak nonlinear perturbation expansions [Q. S. Liu, et al., Phys. Lett. A383(2019) 514], we derive a new(2 + 1)-dimensional generalized Boussinesq equation from the barotropic potential vorticity equation. Based on bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems and the qualitative theory of ordinary differential equations, the dynamical analysis and exact traveling wave solutions of the new generalized Boussinesq equation are obtained. Moreover, we provide the numerical simulations of these exact solutions under some conditions of all parameters. The numerical results show that these traveling wave solutions are all the Rossby solitary waves.展开更多

Based on information theory and its generalization, this paper introduces a universal method to achieve nonlinear models identification. Two key quantities, which are called nonlinear irreducible auto-correlation (NIAC) and generalized nonlinear irreducible auto-correlation (GNIAC), are defined and discussed. NIAC and GNIAC correspond with intrinstic irreducible auto-(dependency) (IAD) and generalized irreducible auto-(dependency) (GIAD) of time series respectively. By investigating the evolving trend of NIAC and GNIAC, the optimal auto-regressive order of nonlinear auto-regressive models could be determined naturally. Subsequently, an efficient algorithm computing NIAC and GNIAC is discussed. Experiments on simulating data sets and typical nonlinear prediction models indicate remarkable correlation between optimal auto-regressive order and the highest order that NIAC-GNIAC have a remarkable non-zero value, therefore demonstrate the validity of the proposal in this paper.展开更多

The generalized fuzzy hyperbolic model (GFHM) with better approximation performance is used to approximate the unknown nonlinear function in the system. The dynamic surface control (DSC) is used to design the controller, which not only avoids the “explosion of complexity” problem in the process of repeated derivation, but also makes the control system simpler in structure and lower in computational cost because only one adaptive law is designed in the controller design process. Through the Lyapunov stability analysis, all signals in the closed loop system designed in this paper are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB). Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by a simulation example.展开更多

The nonlinear stability criteria are established. For comparison, the linear instability criteria are also obtained by using normal mode method. and the influences ofthe free parameter, β parameter and curvature in vertical profile of the horizontal velocity on the linear instability are discussed by use of the growth rate curves. The comparison between the nonlinear stability criterion and the linear one is made. It is shown that insome cases the two criteria are exactly the same in form, but in other cases, they are different. This phenomenon, which reveals the nonlinear property of the linear instability features. is explained by the explosiveresonant interaction (ERI). When there exists the ERI, i.e., the nonlinear mechanisms play a leading role inthe dynamical system. the nonlinear stability criterion is different from the linear one, on the other hand.when there does not exist the ERI. the nonlinear stability criterion is the same as the linear one in form.展开更多

The parameters of such controller is selected based on the generalized minimum variance control law. The unmodeled dynamics is estimated and compensated by neural networks, a switching mechanism is introduced to improve tracking performance, then a nonlinear decoupling PID control algorithm is proposed. All signals in such switching system are globally bounded and the tracking error is convergent. Simulations show effectiveness of the algorithm.展开更多

First, a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model based on the fuzzy cluster algorithm and the orthogonalleast square method is constructed to approach the nonlinear system. Since its consequence is linear, it can divide the nonlinear system into a number of linear or nearly linear subsystems. For this T-S fuzzy model, a GPC algorithm with input constraints is presented. This strategy takes into account all the constraints of the control signal and its increment, and does not require the calculation of the Diophantine equations. So it needs only a small computer memory and the computational speed is high. The simulation results show a good performance for the nonlinear systems.展开更多

In light of the specific conditions of coastal wave character and engineering application, a practical mathematical model for the nonlinear irregular waves is presented, with directional spectrum in coastal area. Coast effect, refraction, whitecapping, bottom friction, current, wind and nonlinear action are considered in this model. The numerical methods and schemes for wave refraction ray, energy conservation of propagation, energy balance of the generation and dissipation of wind waves have been studied. Finally, the model is used for the directional wave spectrum computation in the Daya Bay. Compared with the measured data with 956 wave bouys in the Daya Bay, the model results are in good agreement with the measured results.展开更多
This work is concerned with the global dynamics of a Susceptible–Vaccinated–Infected–Isolated–Recovered model,denoted by SVIQR,with vaccination-age.Moreover,the considered model contains a relapse term and a gener...This work is concerned with the global dynamics of a Susceptible–Vaccinated–Infected–Isolated–Recovered model,denoted by SVIQR,with vaccination-age.Moreover,the considered model contains a relapse term and a general form of the incidence function.This model is formulated to show the effect of sanitary isolation and vaccination on the disease prevalence when the relapse phenomena occurs.First,we show that the model is mathematically well posed by using the integrated semigroup theory.Second,we prove the existence of equilibrium points based on the basic reproduction number R_(0)^(ω,ξ).Moreover,by developing appropriate Lyapunov functionals and applying the LaSalles invariance principle,we established the global dynamics of the model,especially,we show that if R_(0)^(ω,ξ)≤1 the the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and,if Rω,ξ0>1 the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable.Finally,using the finite difference method,numerical simulations are made to reinforce the theoretical findings and to prove the contribution of the vaccination and the isolation on the disease disappearing.展开更多

First, using prior knowledge about the plant we obtain a fuzzy model, which is called the generalized fuzzy hyperbolic model (GFHM). Secondly, for the case that the states of the system are not available an observer is designed and a robust adaptive fuzzy output feedback control scheme is developed. The overall control system guarantees that the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of origin and that all signals involved are uniformly bounded. The main advantages of the proposed control scheme are that the human knowledge about the plant under control can be used to design the controller and only one parameter in the adaptive mechanism needs to be on-line adjusted.展开更多

Background:Information on above-ground biomass(AGB) is important for managing forest resource use at local levels,land management planning at regional levels,and carbon emissions reporting at national and internati...Background:Information on above-ground biomass(AGB) is important for managing forest resource use at local levels,land management planning at regional levels,and carbon emissions reporting at national and international levels.In many tropical developing countries,this information may be unreliable or at a scale too coarse for use at local levels.There is a vital need to provide estimates of AGB with quantifiable uncertainty that can facilitate land use management and policy development improvements.Model-based methods provide an efficient framework to estimate AGB.Methods:Using National Forest Inventory(NFI) data for a^1,000,000 ha study area in the miombo ecoregion,Zambia,we estimated AGB using predicted canopy cover,environmental data,disturbance data,and Landsat 8 OLI satellite imagery.We assessed different combinations of these datasets using three models,a semiparametric generalized additive model(GAM) and two nonlinear models(sigmoidal and exponential),employing a genetic algorithm for variable selection that minimized root mean square prediction error(RMSPE),calculated through cross-validation.We compared model fit statistics to a null model as a baseline estimation method.Using bootstrap resampling methods,we calculated 95% confidence intervals for each model and compared results to a simple estimate of mean AGB from the NFI ground plot data.Results:Canopy cover,soil moisture,and vegetation indices were consistently selected as predictor variables.The sigmoidal model and the GAM performed similarly;for both models the RMSPE was -36.8 tonnes per hectare(i.e.,57% of the mean).However,the sigmoidal model was approximately 30% more efficient than the GAM,assessed using bootstrapped variance estimates relative to a null model.After selecting the sigmoidal model,we estimated total AGB for the study area at 64,526,209 tonnes(+/- 477,730),with a confidence interval 20 times more precise than a simple designbased estimate.Conclusions:Our findings demonstrate that NFI data may be combined with freely available satellite imagery and soils data to estimate total AGB with quantifiable uncertainty,while also providing spatially explicit AGB maps useful for management,planning,and reporting purposes.展开更多

文摘It is necessary to test for varying dispersion in generalized nonlinear models.Wei,et al(1998) developed a likelihood ratio test,a score test and their adjustments to test for varying dispersion in continuous exponential family nonlinear models.This type of problem in the framework of general discrete exponential family nonlinear models is discussed.Two types of varying dispersion,which are random coefficients model and random effects model,are proposed,and corresponding score test statistics are constructed and expressed in simple,easy to use,matrix formulas.

文摘Based on the refraction-diffraction theory of irregular waves in the waters of slowly-varying currents and depths, and the generation dissipation theory of wind wave, a model for nonlinear irregular waves in coastal area is developed. In light of the specific conditions of coastal wave character and engineering application, a practical mathematical model for the nonlinear irregular waves is presented, with directional spectrum in coastal area. Coast effect, refraction, whitecapping, bottom friction, current, wind and nonlinear action are considered in this model. The numerical methods and schemes for wave refraction ray, energy conservation of propagation, energy balance of the generation and dissipation of wind waves have been studied. Finally, the model is used for the directional wave spectrum computation in the Daya Bay. Compared with the measured data with 956 wave bouys in the Daya Bay, the model results are in good agreement with the measured results.
文摘This work is concerned with the global dynamics of a Susceptible–Vaccinated–Infected–Isolated–Recovered model,denoted by SVIQR,with vaccination-age.Moreover,the considered model contains a relapse term and a general form of the incidence function.This model is formulated to show the effect of sanitary isolation and vaccination on the disease prevalence when the relapse phenomena occurs.First,we show that the model is mathematically well posed by using the integrated semigroup theory.Second,we prove the existence of equilibrium points based on the basic reproduction number R_(0)^(ω,ξ).Moreover,by developing appropriate Lyapunov functionals and applying the LaSalles invariance principle,we established the global dynamics of the model,especially,we show that if R_(0)^(ω,ξ)≤1 the the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and,if Rω,ξ0>1 the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable.Finally,using the finite difference method,numerical simulations are made to reinforce the theoretical findings and to prove the contribution of the vaccination and the isolation on the disease disappearing.

文摘In this paper, a robust adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of nonlinear system with uncertainty is proposed. First, using prior knowledge about the plant we obtain a fuzzy model, which is called the generalized fuzzy hyperbolic model (GFHM). Secondly, for the case that the states of the system are not available an observer is designed and a robust adaptive fuzzy output feedback control scheme is developed. The overall control system guarantees that the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of origin and that all signals involved are uniformly bounded. The main advantages of the proposed control scheme are that the human knowledge about the plant under control can be used to design the controller and only one parameter in the adaptive mechanism needs to be on-line adjusted.
文摘The water level control system of steam generator in a pressurized water reactor of nuchear power plant plays an important role which effects the water level control of the steam generator are due the reverse dynamics behavior,so the transient analysis of the steam generator should firstly solve their mathematical models.For determination of dynamic behavior and design and testing of the control system, a nonlinear math model is developed using one dimensional conservation equations of mass,momentum and energy of primary and secondary sides of the steam generator. The nonlinear model is verified with standard power plant data available in the references, then the steady states and transient calculations are performed for full power to 5% power reactor operation of the steam generator of Chinese Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.

文摘Background:Information on above-ground biomass(AGB) is important for managing forest resource use at local levels,land management planning at regional levels,and carbon emissions reporting at national and international levels.In many tropical developing countries,this information may be unreliable or at a scale too coarse for use at local levels.There is a vital need to provide estimates of AGB with quantifiable uncertainty that can facilitate land use management and policy development improvements.Model-based methods provide an efficient framework to estimate AGB.Methods:Using National Forest Inventory(NFI) data for a^1,000,000 ha study area in the miombo ecoregion,Zambia,we estimated AGB using predicted canopy cover,environmental data,disturbance data,and Landsat 8 OLI satellite imagery.We assessed different combinations of these datasets using three models,a semiparametric generalized additive model(GAM) and two nonlinear models(sigmoidal and exponential),employing a genetic algorithm for variable selection that minimized root mean square prediction error(RMSPE),calculated through cross-validation.We compared model fit statistics to a null model as a baseline estimation method.Using bootstrap resampling methods,we calculated 95% confidence intervals for each model and compared results to a simple estimate of mean AGB from the NFI ground plot data.Results:Canopy cover,soil moisture,and vegetation indices were consistently selected as predictor variables.The sigmoidal model and the GAM performed similarly;for both models the RMSPE was -36.8 tonnes per hectare(i.e.,57% of the mean).However,the sigmoidal model was approximately 30% more efficient than the GAM,assessed using bootstrapped variance estimates relative to a null model.After selecting the sigmoidal model,we estimated total AGB for the study area at 64,526,209 tonnes(+/- 477,730),with a confidence interval 20 times more precise than a simple designbased estimate.Conclusions:Our findings demonstrate that NFI data may be combined with freely available satellite imagery and soils data to estimate total AGB with quantifiable uncertainty,while also providing spatially explicit AGB maps useful for management,planning,and reporting purposes.
