The mix-game model is proposed to mimic such phenomena. In a mix-game model there are two groups of agents: Group 1 plays the majority game and Group 2 plays the minority game. In this paper, we investigate such a case that some traders in real financial markets could change their investment behaviours by assigning the evolutionary abilities to agents: if the winning rates of agents are smaller than a threshold, they will join the other group; and agents will repeat such an evolution at certain time intervals. Through the simulations, we obtain the following findings: (i) the volatilities of systems increase with the increase of the number of agents in Group 1 and the times of behavioural changes of all agents; (ii) the performances of agents in both groups and the stabilities of systems become better if all agents take more time to observe their new investment behaviours; (iii) there are two-phase zones of market and non-market and two-phase zones of evolution and non-evolution; (iv) parameter configurations located within the cross areas between the zones of markets and the zones of evolution are suited for simulating the financial markets. 展开更多

This paper tries to integrate game theory, a very useful tool to resolve conflict phenomena, with optimal capital cost allocation issue in total emission control. First the necessity of allocating optimal capital costs fairly and reasonably among polluters in total emission control was analyzed. Then the possibility of applying game theory to the issue of the optimal capital cost allocation was expounded. Next the cooperative N person game model of the optimal capital cost allocation and its solution ways including method based on Shapley value, least core method, weak least core methods, proportional least core method, CGA method, MCRS method and so on were delineated. Finally through application of these methods it was concluded that to apply game theory in the optimal capital cost allocation issue is helpful to implement the total emission control planning schemes successfully, to control pollution effectively, and to ensure sustainable development. 展开更多

A new chaos game representation of protein sequences based on the detailed hydrophobic-hydrophilic (HP) model has been proposed by Yu et al (Physica A 337(2004) 171). A CGR-walk model is proposed based on the new CGR coordinates for the protein sequences from complete genomes in the present paper. The new CCR coordinates based on the detailed HP model are converted into a time series, and a long-memory ARFIMA(p, d, q) model is introduced into the protein sequence analysis. This model is applied to simulating real CCR-walk sequence data of twelve protein sequences. Remarkably long-range correlations are uncovered in the data and the results obtained from these models are reasonably consistent with those available from the ARFIMA(p, d, q) model. 展开更多

Game player modeling is a paradigm of computational models to exploit players’behavior and experience using game and player analytics.Player modeling refers to descriptions of players based on frameworks of data derived from the interaction of a player’s behavior within the game as well as the player’s experience with the game.Player behavior focuses on dynamic and static information gathered at the time of gameplay.Player experience concerns the association of the human player during gameplay, which is based on cognitive and affective physiological measurements collected from sensors mounted on the player’s body or in the player’s surroundings. In this paper, player experience modeling is studied based on the board puzzle game“Candy Crush Saga”using cognitive data of players accessed by physiological and peripheral devices.Long Short-Term Memory-based Deep Neural Network(LSTM-DNN)is used to predict players’effective states in terms of valence, arousal, dominance, and liking by employing the concept of transfer learning.Transfer learning focuses on gaining knowledge while solving one problem and using the same knowledge to solve different but related problems. The homogeneous transfer learning approach has not been implemented in the game domain before, and this novel study opens a new research area for the game industry where the main challenge is predicting the significance of innovative games for entertainment and players’engagement.Relevant not only from a player’s point of view,it is also a benchmark study for game developers who have been facing problems of“cold start”for innovative games that strengthen the game industrial economy. 展开更多

We investigate a simple evolutionary game model in one dimension. It is found that the system exhibits a discontinuous phase transition from a defection state to a cooperation state when the b payoff of a defector exploiting a cooperator is small. Furthermore, if b is large enough, then the system exhibits two continuous phase transitions between two absorbing states and a coexistence state of cooperation and defection, respectively. The tri-critical point is roughly estimated. Moreover, it is found that the critical behavior of the continuous phase transition with an absorbing state is in the directed percolation universality class. 展开更多

To study an entity the entire jack-up performs as a total system with close interdependency and high level of integration of a myriad of subsystems supporting each individual function. All subsystems should be arranged in regular geometric space with clear regional division according to their respective functions. The "building block" such as arrangement makes it feasible to apply modular design method while the integration and conflicts among subsystems offer an arena for game theoretic analysis. All the contradictions between subsystems should be resolved bye the designer. Here we present a game theoretic analysis methodology, which based on the basic principles of game theory, through the establishment of matrix-mode game models to describe and analyze engineering design tasks. By using this method the optimization process in various fields of expertise can be effectively coordinated and controlled, and the parallel design patterns can be achieved to some extent. Taking account of the impact of commercial or technical activities in platform's life cycle, time line is considered in the early stage of design process which provides more convenience for efficient upgrade and reconfiguration. Some second-hand three-legged jack-up upgrade design process is used as an example to illustrate the utility of the method. 展开更多

The utility of public goods vary with the behaviors of stakeholders (players), and it is appropriate to study effective supply and management of public goods with game modeling and analysis. The comparison effect is the key issue of public good provision both in theoretical analysis and in practice. One major contribution of the paper is the extension of Clarke-Groves mechanism, to achieve which strategic behavior analysis is applied through the analysis and the comparison effect among various stakeholders in different stages is created and highly emphasized. In the first section of this paper, the definition of integrated water resources management (IWRM), the importance of stakeholder participation as well as some models and methods that have been applied are illustrated. Following this, the framework of analysis is elaborated, in which the scenario and aims are shown, and it is claimed that game theory is the main approach, which includes both cooperative games and non-cooperative games. To achieve the aims of the public project, five approaches from game theory are able to cover the entire process of the project, and the fourth approach on interest compensation mechanism is the highlight of the research. After this, the interest compensation mechanism is demonstrated in the model section, and is proved to be an incentive compatible mechanism that makes each stakeholder choose to behave in accordance with the interest of the entire project. The Clarke-Groves mechanism is applied and extended in establishing the model, and the utility change by the comparison among stakeholders (defined as the comparison effect) is involved. In the application section, a water project is analyzed in consideration of various stakeholders, and other possible applications are also indicated. 展开更多

In this paper, the evaluation of consolidated index is used. Respectively, AHP and entropy method calculate the subjective and objective weight of the evaluation indicators, and combine them by game theory. So we can obtain synthetic weight based on objective and subjective weights. The evaluation of urban flood-waterlogged vulnerability as target layer, a single variable multi-objective fuzzy optimization model is established. We use the model to evaluate flood-waterlogged vulnerability of 13 prefecture-level city in Hunan, and compare it with other evaluation method. The results show that the evaluation method has certain adaptability and reliability, and it' s helpfid to the construction planning of urban flood control. 展开更多

Under the impetus of the“Dual Credit”policy, traditional fuel vehicle manufacturers are confronted with significant pressure to meet new energy vehicle credit requirements. To address this challenge, these manufacturers are increasingly adopting the Original Design Manufacturer(ODM)strategy to collaborate with new energy vehicle enterprises, thereby acquiring credits and expanding their market presence. However, this strategic approach not only intensifies competition between new energy and traditional fuel vehicle markets but also reshapes the profit distribution between the two types of firms.Drawing upon the framework of the Dual Credit policy, this study establishes a Cournot game model to examine the strategic interactions between traditional fuel vehicle manufacturers and new energy vehicle producers. It further investigates the optimal production decisions under the ODM strategy and evaluates their implications for market dynamics and corporate profitability. The findings reveal that, although the ODM strategy heightens market competition,it leads to substantial profit improvements for both types of manufacturers compared to the alternative of directly purchasing credits, while also fostering the growth of the new energy vehicle sector. Moreover, the Case study demonstrates micro-level impact of the dual credit policy on enterprises’response strategies, offering valuable insights for policymakers and industry decision-makers. 展开更多

It is particularly challenging to develop a new control theory like human intelligence,as human cognition and decisionmaking are variable in changing environments. In this article, the idea of variable stability is adopted to design a human-like control algorithm, referred to as variable stability control.A variable model perturbation put into the system dynamics model is computed by model game control, which simulates changes in human cognition.Lyapunov stability control is employed to formulate a backstepping control law that mimics the underlying logic algorithm in human decision-making.Some variable algorithm parameters embedded into the control law are calculated using model predictive control, which imitates dynamic tuning in human decision-making.From another perspective, variable stability control is an algorithm-hybrid control approach validated in a steer-by-wire system for angle tracking.According to the experimental results, variable stability control is a promising candidate for angle tracking in steer-by-wire systems. 展开更多

Dear Editor,With the advances in computing and communication technologies, the cyber-physical system(CPS),has been used in lots of industrial fields, such as the urban water cycle, internet of things, and human-cyber systems[1],[2],which has to face up to malicious cyber-attacks towards cyber communication of control commands.Specifically, jamming attack is regarded as one of the most common attacks of decreasing network performance.Game theory is widely regarded as a method of accurately describing the interaction between jamming attacker and legitimate user[3].In the cyber layer, the signal game model has been utilized to describe the transmission between the attacker and defender[4].However,most previous game theoretical researches are not feasible to meet the demands of industrial CPSs mainly due to the shared communication network nature.Specifically,it leads to incomplete information for players of game owing to various network-induced phenomena and employed communication protocols. In the physical layer, the secure control[5]and estimation[6]under attack detection have been studied for CPSs.However, these methods not only rely heavily on signals injection detection, but also have no access to smart attackers who launch covert attacks so that data receivers cannot observe the attack behaviour[7].Accordingly,the motivation arising here is to tackle the nested game problem for CPSs subject to jamming attack. 展开更多

Within the inventory era, urban shrinkage characterized by economic decline and space decay has been widely witnessed in China. The modes and trajectories of urban redevelopment have thus become areas of major concern for both policymakers and scholars. Taking the multi-actor participation nature of redevelopment, this paper stemming from the game-theoretical approach demonstrates in empirical terms on two major fronts. First, the redevelopment of industrial land without the transfer of land use right is shown to be deadlocked by the incapacitation of the original land-user and unlocked with the participation of the new developer. Second, the preference of the original land-user to maximize its interests by operating by itself rather than continue to cooperate with the new developer is observed in the post-redevelopment stage. Therein, the entrepreneurial local government acts only as a “mediator” between the two market entities and tends not to directly intervene in their cooperation. Thus that, it is the reasonable distribution of potential benefits or the pricing of different rights in the land property right bundle rather than their definition that matters more for land redevelopment. Because the delineation of land property rights has never been a problem in a mature land market, particularly for stock industrial land. 展开更多

With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, its application field has gradually expanded. To further apply the deep reinforcement learning technology to the field of dynamic pricing,we build an intelligent dynamic pricing system, introduce the reinforcement learning technology related to dynamic pricing, and introduce existing research on the number of suppliers(single supplier and multiple suppliers),environmental models, and selection algorithms.A two-period dynamic pricing game model is designed to assess the optimal pricing strategy for e-commerce platforms under two market conditions and two consumer participation conditions. The first step is to analyze the pricing strategies of e-commerce platforms in mature markets, analyze the optimal pricing and profits of various enterprises under different strategy combinations, compare different market equilibriums and solve the Nash equilibrium. Then, assuming that all consumers are naive in the market, the pricing strategy of the duopoly e-commerce platform in emerging markets is analyzed.By comparing and analyzing the optimal pricing and total profit of each enterprise under different strategy combinations, the subgame refined Nash equilibrium is solved. Finally, assuming that the market includes all experienced consumers, the pricing strategy of the duopoly e-commerce platform in emerging markets is analyzed. 展开更多

The spoofing capability of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)represents an important confrontational capability for navigation security, and the success of planned missions may depend on the effective evaluation of spoofing capability. However, current evaluation systems face challenges arising from the irrationality of previous weighting methods, inapplicability of the conventional multi-attribute decision-making method and uncertainty existing in evaluation. To solve these difficulties, considering the validity of the obtained results,an evaluation method based on the game aggregated weight model and a joint approach involving the grey relational analysis and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution(GRA-TOPSIS)are firstly proposed to determine the optimal scheme.Static and dynamic evaluation results under different schemes are then obtained via a fuzzy comprehensive assessment and an improved dynamic game method,to prioritize the deceptive efficacy of the equipment accurately and make pointed improvement for its core performance. The use of judging indicators, including Spearman rank correlation coefficient and so on,combined with obtained evaluation results, demonstrates the superiority of the proposed method and the optimal scheme by the horizontal comparison of different methods and vertical comparison of evaluation results. Finally, the results of field measurements and simulation tests show that the proposed method can better overcome the difficulties of existing methods and realize the effective evaluation. 展开更多

Over the course of human history, influenza pandemics have been seen as major disasters, so studies on the influenza virus have become an important issue for many experts and scholars. Comprehensive research has been performed over the years on the biological properties, chemical characteristics, external environmental factors and other aspects of the virus, and some results have been achieved. Based on the chaos game representation walk model, this paper uses the time series analysis method to study the DNA sequences of the influenza virus from 1913 to 2010, and works out the early-warning signals indicator value for the outbreak of an influenza pandemic. The variances in the CCR wall〈 sequences for the pandemic years (or + -1 to 2 years) are significantly higher than those for the adjacent years, while those in the non-pandemic years are usually smaller. In this way we can provide an influenza early-warning mechanism so that people can take precautions and be well prepared prior to a pandemic. 展开更多
