Based on the linearized model of the co...This paper analyzes the fuzzy variable structure control algorithms for delay systems and describes the compensation mechanism of the integral factor to the effect of the delay. Based on the linearized model of the congestion-avoidance flow-control mode of transmission control protocol (TCP), we present delay control algorithms for active queue management (AQM) and discuss the parameter tuning of the algorithms. The NS (network simulator) simulation results show that the proposed control scheme for the nonlinear TCP/AQM model has good performance and robustness with respect to the uncertainties of the round-trip time (RTT) and the number of active TCP sessions. Compared to other similar schemes, our algorithms perform better in terms of packet loss ratio, throughput and butter fluctuation.展开更多

The algorithm utilizes the fuzzy variable structure control algorithm with delay factor to compensate time varying round-trip times (RTT) and uncertainties with respect to the number of active TCP sessions. By analyzing the robustness and performance of the control scheme for the nonlinear TCP/AQM model, we show that the proposed design has good performance and robustness, which are central to the notion of AQM. Implementation issues were discussed and ns simulations were provided to validate the design and compare its performance to other peer schemes in different scenarios. The formula of the degree of possibility between two TFLVs is defined, and some of its characteristics are studied. Based on the degree of possibility of fuzzy linguistic variables, an approach to ranking the decision alternatives in multiple attribute decision making with TFLV is developed. The trapezoid fuzzy linguistic weighted averaging (TFLWA) operator method is utilized to aggregate the decision information, and then all the alternatives are ranked by comparing the degree of possibility of TFLV. The method can carry out linguistic computation processes easily without loss of linguistic information, and thus makes the decision results reasonable and effective. Finally, the implementation process of the proposed method is illustrated and analyzed by a practical example.展开更多
Drought is one of the major natural disasters causing huge agricultural losses annually. Regional agricultural drought risk assessment has great significance for reducing regional disaster and agricultural drought los...Drought is one of the major natural disasters causing huge agricultural losses annually. Regional agricultural drought risk assessment has great significance for reducing regional disaster and agricultural drought losses. Based on the fuzzy characteristics of agricultural drought risk, variable fuzzy sets model was used for comprehensively assessing agricultural drought risk of Liaoning Province in China. A multi-layers and multi-indices assessment model was estab-lished according to variable fuzzy sets theory, and agricultural drought risk of all 14 prefecture-level cities was respec-tively estimated in terms of dangerousness, vulnerability, exposure and drought-resistibility. By calculating the combi-nation weights of four drought risk factors, agricultural drought risk grade of each city was obtained. Based on the as-sessment results, the spatial distribution maps of agricultural drought risk were drawn. The results shows that eastern cities have lower drought dangerousness than western cities in Liaoning Province totally. Most cities are located in low drought vulnerability region and high drought exposure region. Because of frequent and severe drought since 2000, most cities are located in lower drought-resistibility region. Comprehensive agricultural drought risk presents apparent spatial characteristics, escalating from the east to the west. Drought dangerousness is the most important factor influencing comprehensive agricultural drought risk. Through the spatial distribution maps of drought risk, decision makers could find out drought situation and make decisions on drought resistance conveniently.展开更多

Variations in 11 water quality param...Achieving water purity in Poyang Lake has become a major concern in recent years, thus appropriate evaluation of spatial and temporal water quality variations has become essential. Variations in 11 water quality parameters from 15 sampling sites in Poyang Lake were investigated from 2009 to 2012. An integrative fuzzy variable evaluation(IFVE) model based on fuzzy theory and variable weights was developed to measure variations in water quality. Results showed that: 1) only chlorophyll-a concentration and Secchi depth differed significantly among the 15 sampling sites(P < 0.01), whereas the 11 water quality parameters under investigation differed significantly throughout the seasons(P < 0.01). The annual variations of all water quality variables except for temperature, electrical conductivity, suspended solids and total phosphorus were considerable(P < 0.05). 2) The IFVE model was reasonable and flexible in evaluating water quality status and any possible ′bucket effect′. The model fully considered the influences of extremely poor indices on overall water quality. 3) A spatial analysis indicated that anthropogenic activities(particularly industrial sewage and dredging) and lake bed topography might directly affect water quality in Poyang Lake. Meanwhile, hydrological status and sewage discharged into the lake might be responsible for seasonal water quality variations.展开更多

Accord...With the rapid development of the marine economy industry, human exploitation of marine resources is increasing, which is contributing to the growing trend of eutrophication and frequent occurrence of red tide. Accordingly, investigations of seawater quality have attracted a great deal of attention. This study was conducted to construct a seawater environmental quality assessment model based on the variable fuzzy recognition model. The uncertainty and ambiguity of the seawater quality assessment were then considered, combining the monitoring values of evaluation indicators with the standard values of seawater quality. Laizhou Bay was subsequently selected for a case study. In this study, the correct variable model for different parameters was obtained according to the linear and nonlinear features of evaluation objects. Application of the variable fuzzy recognition model for Laizhou Bay, water quality evaluation and comparison with performance obtained using other approaches revealed that the generated model is more reliable than traditional methods, can more reasonably determine the water quality of various samples, and is more suitable for evaluation of a multi-index, multi-level, nonlinear marine environment system; accordingly, the generated model will be an effective tool for seawater quality evaluation.展开更多

The state observer is i...A high-precision fuzzy controller, based on a state observer, is developed for a class of nonlinear single-input-single-output(SISO) systems with system uncertainties and external disturbances. The state observer is introduced to resolve the problem of the unavailability of state variables. Assisted by the observer, a variable universe fuzzy system is designed to approximate the ideal control law. Being auxiliary components, a robust control term and a state feedback control term are designed to suppress the influence of the lumped uncertainties and remove the observation error, respectively. Different from the existing results, no additional dynamic order is required for the control design. All the adaptive laws and the control law are built based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach, and the signals involved in the closed-loop system are guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded. Simulation results performed on Duffing forced oscillation demonstrate the advantages of the proposed control scheme.展开更多

We also define suitable goodness of fit index and its adjusted version useful to evaluate the performances of the proposed model. Based on the Least Median Squares-Weighted Least Squares (LMS-WLS) estimation procedure, we give robust estimation steps for the proposed model. In the past few decades,many methods have been developed to find the optimal parameters of a T...Tuned mass dampers (TMD) are well known as one of the most widely adopted devices in vibration control passive strategies. In the past few decades,many methods have been developed to find the optimal parameters of a TMD installed on a structure and subjected to a random base excitation process,but most of them are usually based on an implicit assumption that all of the structural parameters are deterministic. However,in many real cases this simplification is unacceptable,so robust optimal design criteria becomes aviable alternative to better support engineers in the design process. In Robust Design Optimization (RDO) approaches,indeed the solution must be able to not only minimize the performance but also to limitits variation induced by uncertainty. Most of the currently available RDO methods are based on a probabilistic description of the model uncertainty,even if in many cases they are not able to explicitly include the influence of all the possible sources of uncertainties. Therefore,in this study,a fuzzy version of the robust TMD design optimization problem is proposed. The consistency of the fuzzy approach is studied with respect to the available non-probabilistic formulations reported in the literature and an application to an example of a robust design of a linear TMD subjected to base random vibrations in the presence of fuzzy uncertainties. The results show that the proposed fuzzy-based approach is able to give a set of optimal solutions both in terms of structural efficiency and sensitivity to mechanical and environmental uncertainties.展开更多

Based on a given interval representation of fuzzy numbers, some arithmetic rules of fuzzy numbers and fuzzy variables were developed in terms of the properties of interval arithmetic. According to the rules and by the theory of interval finite element method, procedures for solving the static governing equations of fuzzy finite element method of structures were presented. By the proposed procedure, the possibility distributions of responses of fuzzy structures can be generated in terms of the membership functions of the input fuzzy numbers. It is shown by a numerical example that the computational burden of the presented procedures is low and easy to implement. 文摘In order to enhance forecasting precision of problems about nonlinear time series in a complex industry system,a new nonlinear fuzzy adaptive variable weight combined forecasting model was established by using conceptions of the relative error,the change tendency of the forecasted object,gray basic weight and adaptive control coefficient on the basis of the method of fuzzy variable weight.Based on Visual Basic 6.0 platform,a fuzzy adaptive variable weight combined forecasting and management system was developed.The application results reveal that the forecasting precisions from the new nonlinear combined forecasting model are higher than those of other single combined forecasting models and the combined forecasting and management system is very powerful tool for the required decision in complex industry system.

文摘With the rapid development of the marine economy industry, human exploitation of marine resources is increasing, which is contributing to the growing trend of eutrophication and frequent occurrence of red tide. Accordingly, investigations of seawater quality have attracted a great deal of attention. This study was conducted to construct a seawater environmental quality assessment model based on the variable fuzzy recognition model. The uncertainty and ambiguity of the seawater quality assessment were then considered, combining the monitoring values of evaluation indicators with the standard values of seawater quality. Laizhou Bay was subsequently selected for a case study. In this study, the correct variable model for different parameters was obtained according to the linear and nonlinear features of evaluation objects. Application of the variable fuzzy recognition model for Laizhou Bay, water quality evaluation and comparison with performance obtained using other approaches revealed that the generated model is more reliable than traditional methods, can more reasonably determine the water quality of various samples, and is more suitable for evaluation of a multi-index, multi-level, nonlinear marine environment system; accordingly, the generated model will be an effective tool for seawater quality evaluation.

文摘A high-precision fuzzy controller, based on a state observer, is developed for a class of nonlinear single-input-single-output(SISO) systems with system uncertainties and external disturbances. The state observer is introduced to resolve the problem of the unavailability of state variables. Assisted by the observer, a variable universe fuzzy system is designed to approximate the ideal control law. Being auxiliary components, a robust control term and a state feedback control term are designed to suppress the influence of the lumped uncertainties and remove the observation error, respectively. Different from the existing results, no additional dynamic order is required for the control design. All the adaptive laws and the control law are built based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach, and the signals involved in the closed-loop system are guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded. Simulation results performed on Duffing forced oscillation demonstrate the advantages of the proposed control scheme.

文摘By constructing a mcan-square performance index in the case of fuzzy random variable, the optimal estimation theorem for unknown fuzzy state using the fuzzy observation data are given. The state and output of linear discrete-time dynamic fuzzy system with Gaussian noise are Gaussian fuzzy random variable sequences. An approach to fuzzy Kalman filtering is discussed. Fuzzy Kalman filtering contains two parts: a real-valued non-random recurrence equation and the standard Kalman filtering.
文摘In this paper, we propose a fuzzy linear regression model with LR-type fuzzy input variables and fuzzy output variable, the fuzzy extent of which may be different. Then we give the iterative solution of the proposed model based on the Weighted Least Squares estimation procedure. Some properties of the estimates are proved. We also define suitable goodness of fit index and its adjusted version useful to evaluate the performances of the proposed model. Based on the Least Median Squares-Weighted Least Squares (LMS-WLS) estimation procedure, we give robust estimation steps for the proposed model. Compared with the well-known fuzzy Least Squares method, the effectiveness of our model on reducing the outliers influence is shown by using two examples.

文摘Tuned mass dampers (TMD) are well known as one of the most widely adopted devices in vibration control passive strategies. In the past few decades,many methods have been developed to find the optimal parameters of a TMD installed on a structure and subjected to a random base excitation process,but most of them are usually based on an implicit assumption that all of the structural parameters are deterministic. However,in many real cases this simplification is unacceptable,so robust optimal design criteria becomes aviable alternative to better support engineers in the design process. In Robust Design Optimization (RDO) approaches,indeed the solution must be able to not only minimize the performance but also to limitits variation induced by uncertainty. Most of the currently available RDO methods are based on a probabilistic description of the model uncertainty,even if in many cases they are not able to explicitly include the influence of all the possible sources of uncertainties. Therefore,in this study,a fuzzy version of the robust TMD design optimization problem is proposed. The consistency of the fuzzy approach is studied with respect to the available non-probabilistic formulations reported in the literature and an application to an example of a robust design of a linear TMD subjected to base random vibrations in the presence of fuzzy uncertainties. The results show that the proposed fuzzy-based approach is able to give a set of optimal solutions both in terms of structural efficiency and sensitivity to mechanical and environmental uncertainties.

文摘A warehouse layout problem where the warehouse has more than one level and both the distance from the cell to the receive/exit bay and demand of item types are fuzzy variables is proposed. The problem is to find a layout with the minimum transportation cost subject to adjacency and other constraints. A fuzzy expected value model is given and an ant colony system is designed to solve the problem. Computational results indicate the efficiency and effectiveness of the method.

文摘In order to solve three kinds of fuzzy programm model, fuzzy chance-constrained programming mode ng models, i.e. fuzzy expected value and fuzzy dependent-chance programming model, a simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation algorithm is proposed by integrating neural network with fuzzy simulation. At first, fuzzy simulation is used to generate a set of input-output data. Then a neural network is trained according to the set. Finally, the trained neural network is embedded in simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation algorithm. Simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation algorithm is used to search the optimal solution. Two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

文摘The key component of finite element analysis of structures with fuzzy parameters, which is associated with handling of some fuzzy information and arithmetic relation of fuzzy variables, was the solving of the governing equations of fuzzy finite element method. Based on a given interval representation of fuzzy numbers, some arithmetic rules of fuzzy numbers and fuzzy variables were developed in terms of the properties of interval arithmetic. According to the rules and by the theory of interval finite element method, procedures for solving the static governing equations of fuzzy finite element method of structures were presented. By the proposed procedure, the possibility distributions of responses of fuzzy structures can be generated in terms of the membership functions of the input fuzzy numbers. It is shown by a numerical example that the computational burden of the presented procedures is low and easy to implement. The effectiveness and usefulness of the presented procedures are also illustrated.

文摘Precise control of the contact force is crucial in the application of non-wearable defecation smart care(DSC)robot.A deformable shield equipped with a pressure sensing function is designed,with a bending angle that can be adjusted according to pressure feedback,thus enabling it to adapt to various body shapes.To improve the force tracking accuracy and prevent obvious force overshoot in the initial contact stage,a contact force control strategy based on fuzzy adaptive variable impedance is proposed.The proposed contact force control strategy achieves an average root-mean-square error of 0.024 and an average overshoot of 1.74%.Experimental results demonstrate that the designed deformable shield can fit the human body well,while the proposed control strategy enhances the contact force management and realizes the precise control of human-robot contact force.

文摘The grey fuzzy variable was defined for the two fold uncertain parameters combining grey and fuzziness factors. On the basis of the credibility and chance measure of grey fuzzy variables, the distribution center inventory uncertain programming model was presented. The grey fuzzy simulation technology can generate input-output data for the uncertain functions. The neural network trained from the inputoutput data can approximate the uncertain functions. The designed hybrid intelligent algorithm by embedding the trained neural network into genetic algorithm can optimize the general grey fuzzy programming problems. Finally, one numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the model and the hybrid intelligent algorithm.
