The induced electromagnetic (EM) loads of port plug and blanket shielding module (BSM) were presented. The finite element analysis (FEA) and numerical calculation of the system were performed under the maximum loads. According to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) criteria, the EM stress is far below the admissible failure boundary, which indicates that the system can resist the cooperative action of EM loads and device deadweight. The analysis could provide technical data and references for further analysis and optimized design of the system.展开更多
This paper describes the analysis and design of an assistive device for elderly people under development at the EgyptJapan University of Science and Technology(E-JUST) named E-JUST assistive device(EJAD).Several e...This paper describes the analysis and design of an assistive device for elderly people under development at the EgyptJapan University of Science and Technology(E-JUST) named E-JUST assistive device(EJAD).Several experiments were carried out using a motion capture system(VICON) and inertial sensors to identify the human posture during the sit-to-stand motion.The EJAD uses only two inertial measurement units(IMUs) fused through an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS) algorithm to imitate the real motion of the caregiver.The EJAD consists of two main parts,a robot arm and an active walker.The robot arm is a 2-degree-of-freedom(2-DOF) planar manipulator.In addition,a back support with a passive joint is used to support the patient s back.The IMUs on the leg and trunk of the patient are used to compensate for and adapt to the EJAD system motion depending on the obtained patient posture.The ANFIS algorithm is used to train the fuzzy system that converts the IMUs signals to the right posture of the patient.A control scheme is proposed to control the system motion based on practical measurements taken from the experiments.A computer simulation showed a relatively good performance of the EJAD in assisting the patient.展开更多

The coil is placed close to the plasma between the vacuum vessel and the blanket to reduce its design power and improve its mitigating ability. The coil works in a high-temperature,high-nuclear-heat and high-magnetic-field environment. Due to the existence of outer superconducting coils, the coil is subjected to an alternating electromagnetic force induced by its own alternating current and the outer magnetic field. The design goal for the ELM coil is to maintain its structural integrity in the multi-physical field. Taking as an example the middle ELM coil(with flexible supports) of ITER(the International Thermonuclear Fusion Reactor), an electromagnetic–thermal–structural coupling analysis is carried out using ANSYS. The results show that the flexible supports help the three-layer casing meet the static and fatigue design requirements. The structural design of the middle ELM coil is reasonable and feasible. The work described in this paper provides the theoretical basis and method for ELM coil design.展开更多

Objective:Sargassum fusiforme(SF),a brown algae,is a marine traditional Chinese medicine with nutritional value.However,studies on the bioactive components in SF are limited.The aim of this study is to investigate phy...Objective:Sargassum fusiforme(SF),a brown algae,is a marine traditional Chinese medicine with nutritional value.However,studies on the bioactive components in SF are limited.The aim of this study is to investigate phytochemical and biological properties of SF from different geographical origins and botanical parts,as well as to explore bioactive components within SF.Methods:SF from different origins and botanical parts were collected for integrated phytochemical analyses using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MS),mass spectral molecular networking and liquid chromatography-single quadrupole mass spectrometry(LC-MSD),etc.,followed by the systematic chemical profile evaluation.Subsequently,the glycolipid metabolism regulation and anticoagulation of SF were examined.Furthermore,the overall information acquired was assembled using multivariate analysis and machine learning to discover bioactive components.Results:A total of 123 compounds in SF were identified with the assistance of mass spectral molecular networking.The variations in the content of amino acids,fucoidan,alginate,phlorotannin,alkaloids,terpenoids,etc.were observed in SF from different origins and botanical parts.SF possessed the hypolipidemic,hypoglycemic and anticoagulant effects,and SF from Dongtou,Wenzhou,Zhejiang,was outstanding among origins in both phytochemical and biological evaluations.A heterogeneous information ensemble approach was adopted to discover the bioactive components in SF,namely 3-indoleacrylic acid,phlorotannin and fucoidan.Conclusion:This study evaluated the phytochemical and biological properties of SF,revealed the bioactive components using heterogeneous information and provided a reference for the rational consumption and further development of SF.展开更多
