For real-time dynamic substructure testing(RTDST),the influence of the inertia force of fluid specimens on the stability and accuracy of the integration algorithms has never been investigated.Therefore,this study proposes to investigate the stability and accuracy of the central difference method(CDM)for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient.First,the theory of the CDM for RTDST is presented.Next,the stability and accuracy of the CDM for RTDST considering the specimen mass participation coefficient are investigated.Finally,numerical simulations and experimental tests are conducted for verifying the effectiveness of the method.The study indicates that the stability of the algorithm is affected by the mass participation coefficient of the specimen,and the stability limit first increases and then decreases as the mass participation coefficient increases.In most cases,the mass participation coefficient will increase the stability limit of the algorithm,but in specific circumstances,the algorithm may lose its stability.The stability and accuracy of the CDM considering the mass participation coefficient are verified by numerical simulations and experimental tests on a three-story frame structure with a tuned liquid damper. 展开更多

This is because this subfamily is unconditionally stable for any instantaneous stiffness softening system, linear elastic system and instantaneous stiffness hardening system that might occur in the pseudodynamic testing of a real structure. According to the valve port features of high speed on-off valve and its actions,the valve port can be simplified into an a-type half bridge construction.A method that tests the dynamic characteristics of the high speed on-off valve by the output pressure signal of the a-type half bridge is proposed.Having analyzed the factors related to the dynamic characteristics of an a-type half bridge,a rule for designing the outlet chamber's volume is worked out.According to the rule,a test stand is built to test the self-developed high-speed on-off valve.From the test results,it can be seen that with the outlet chamber's volume controlled by the rule the rise time of the pressure signals driven by signals with different frequencies changes very little.The test results conform to the simulation results,which nroves the correctness of the method. 展开更多

Stress waves propagate along vertical,radial and circumferential directions when a non-uniformly distributed load is applied at one end of a three-dimensional shaft.As a result,the receiving signals are usually mixed with undesired interference components,often featuring as high-frequency fluctuations.Previous studies have revealed that sectional geometry(shape and size)greatly affects the high-frequency interference.In this study,low strain dynamic testing on full-scale X-section concrete is conducted in order to investigate the influences of high-frequency interference on velocity responses at the pile head.Emphasis is placed on the frequency and peak value of interference waves at various receiving points.Additionally,the effects of the geometrical,and mechanical properties of the pile shaft on high-frequency interference are elaborated on through the three-dimensional finite element method.The results show that the measured wave is obscured by interference waves superposed by two types of high-frequency components.The modulus and cross-sectional area are contributing factors to the frequency and peak value of the interference waves.On the other hand,the position with the least interference is determined,to some extent,by the accurate shape of the X-section. 展开更多

Combined with the tire dynamics theoretical model,a rapid test method to obtain tire lateral and longitudinal both steady-state and transient characteristics only based on the tire quasi-steady-state test results is proposed.For steady state data extraction,the test time of the rapid test method is half that of the conventional test method.For transient tire characteristics the rapid test method omits the traditional tire test totally.At the mean time the accuracy of the two method is much closed.The rapid test method is explained theoretically and the test process is designed.The key parameters of tire are extracted and the comparison is made between rapid test and traditional test method.The result show that the identification accuracy based on the rapid test method is almost equal to the accuracy of the conventional one.Then,the heat generated during the rapid test method and that generated during the conventional test are calculated separately.The comparison shows that the heat generated during the rapid test is much smaller than the heat generated during the conventional test process.This benefits to the reduction of tire wear and the consistency of test results.Finally,it can be concluded that the fast test method can efficiently,accurately and energy-efficiently measure the steady-state and transient characteristics of the tire. 展开更多

This paper summarizes the analytical and experimental dynamic analyses carried out to assess the actual dynamic behaviour of a curved cable-stayed bridge,recently erected in the commercial harbour of Porto Marghera ( Venice,Italy). Ambient vibration tests were carried out to determine the dynamic characteristics of the bridge and more than 20 modes were identified in the frequency range 0~10Hz. In the theoretical study,a 3D FE model of the bridge was developed using an integrated CAD-FEA approach; subsequently,the information obtained from the field tests,combined with simple manual tuning,provided a linear elastic model,accurately fitting the modal parameters of the bridge in its present condition. 展开更多

To study the stiffness distribution of girder and the method to identify modal parameters of cable-stayed bridge, a simplified dynamical finite element method model named three beams model was established for the girder with double ribs. Based on the simplified model four stiffness formulae were deduced according to Hamilton principle. These formulae reflect well the contribution of the flexural, shearing, free torsion and restricted torsion deformation, respectively. An identification method about modal parameters was put forward by combining method of peak value and power spectral density according to modal test under ambient excitation. The dynamic finite element method analysis and modal test were carried out in a long-span concrete cable-stayed bridge. The results show that the errors of frequencies between theoretical analysis and test results are less than 10% mostly, and the most important modal parameters for cable-stayed bridge are determined to be the longitudinal floating mode, the first vertical flexural mode and the first torsional mode, which demonstrate that the method of stiffness distribution for three beams model is accurate and method to identify modal parameters is effective under ambient excitation modal test. 展开更多

Anti-ram bollard systems, which are installed around buildings and infrastructure, can prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering, maintain distance from vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED) and reduce the corresponding damage. Compared with a fixed bollard system, a removable bollard system provides more flexibility as it can be removed when needed. This paper first proposes a new type of K4-rated removable anti-ram bollard system. To simulate the collision of a vehicle hitting the bollard system, a finite element model was then built and verified through comparison of numerical simulation results and existing experimental results. Based on the orthogonal design method, the factors influencing the safety and economy of this proposed system were examined and sorted according to their importance. An optimal design scheme was then produced. Finally, to validate the effectiveness of the proposed design scheme, four dynamic impact tests, including two front impact tests and two side impact tests, have been conducted according to BSI Specifications. The residual rotation angles of the specimen are smaller than 30~ and satisfy the requirements of the BSI Specification. 展开更多

Expanded polystyrene(EPS)particle-based lightweight soil,which is a type of lightweight filler,is mainly used in road engineering.The stability of subgrades under dynamic loading is attracting increased research attention.The traditional method for studying the dynamic strength characteristics of soils is dynamic triaxial testing,and the discrete element simulation of lightweight soils under cyclic load has rarely been considered.To study the meso-mechanisms of the dynamic failure processes of EPS particle lightweight soils,a discrete element numerical model is established using the particle flow code(PFC)software.The contact force,displacement field,and velocity field of lightweight soil under different cumulative compressive strains are studied.The results show that the hysteresis curves of lightweight soil present characteristics of strain accumulation,which reflect the cyclic effects of the dynamic load.When the confining pressure increases,the contact force of the particles also increases.The confining pressure can restrain the motion of the particle system and increase the dynamic strength of the sample.When the confining pressure is held constant,an increase in compressive strain causes minimal change in the contact force between soil particles.However,the contact force between the EPS particles decreases,and their displacement direction points vertically toward the center of the sample.Under an increase in compressive strain,the velocity direction of the particle system changes from a random distribution and points vertically toward the center of the sample.When the compressive strain is 5%,the number of particles deflected in the particle velocity direction increases significantly,and the cumulative rate of deformation in the lightweight soil accelerates.Therefore,it is feasible to use 5%compressive strain as the dynamic strength standard for lightweight soil.Discrete element methods provide a new approach toward the dynamic performance evaluation of lightweight soil subgrades. 展开更多

In Brazil and various regions globally, the initiation of landslides is frequently associated with rainfall;yet the spatial arrangement of geological structures and stratification considerably influences landslide occurrences. The multifaceted nature of these influences makes the surveillance of mass movements a highly intricate task, requiring an understanding of numerous interdependent variables. Recent years have seen an emergence in scholarly research aimed at integrating geophysical and geotechnical methodologies. The conjoint examination of geophysical and geotechnical data offers an enhanced perspective into subsurface structures. Within this work, a methodology is proposed for the synchronous analysis of electrical resistivity geophysical data and geotechnical data, specifically those extracted from the Light Dynamic Penetrometer (DPL) and Standard Penetration Test (SPT). This study involved a linear fitting process to correlate resistivity with N10/SPT N-values from DPL/SPT soundings, culminating in a 2D profile of N10/SPT N-values predicated on electrical profiles. The findings of this research furnish invaluable insights into slope stability by allowing for a two-dimensional representation of penetration resistance properties. Through the synthesis of geophysical and geotechnical data, this project aims to augment the comprehension of subsurface conditions, with potential implications for refining landslide risk evaluations. This endeavor offers insight into the formulation of more effective and precise slope management protocols and disaster prevention strategies. 展开更多

By theoretically analyzing transmission characteristics of multi type current transformers and their influence factors, we study the dynamic model testing method of multi type current transformers for the bus, and design 3 kinds of testing schemes by making the equivalent model based on the field of P-level current transformer, TPY-level current transformer and electronic current transformer, and build the hybrid operation testing platform of multi type current transformers. Apertures generally exist in the sandwich structures attributing to mechanical connection and lightweight, which might induce failure of such structures. Thus, it is required to realize the impact of aperture on mechanical behaviors of sandwich structures. If transverse shear deformations are unable to be described accurately, the reasonable prediction of dynamic behaviors of the form-core sandwich plates with apertures will meet severe challenges due to a large difference of transverse shear modulus at the adjacent layers. Thereby, such issue is less studied by using the efficient models and experimental testing, so an alternative sinusoidal-type finite element formulation is to be proposed to precisely predict dynamic response of the form-core sandwich structures with apertures. The proposed finite element formulation can meet beforehand compatible conditions of transverse shear stresses at the interfaces of adjacent laminates. In order to appraise strictly capability of the proposed model, experimental tests on natural frequencies of three groups of specimens with different apertures have been carried out. Moreover, four specimens in each group are tested to reduce the testing errors, which is less reported in the published literature. In addition,three-dimensional Finite Element Method(3-D FEM) is also selected to account for the good performance of the present model. Finally, the impact of aperture diameter on the natural frequencies of the sandwich structures is both experimentally and numerically investigated, which can serve as a reference for other researchers. 展开更多

In this study, the 3-dimensional discrete element method is firstly introduced to explain the fracturing damage process of the dynamic split experiment of a special brittle glass ZnS. The corresponding dynamic split experiment is also performed by using the split Hopkinson pressure bar. Then the numerical results correspond closely to those obtained by experiments, and the fracturing damage mode shows that the sample under high strain rate loading would crack along vertical diameter in the band region between two loading edges, which differs from the static damage mode. Furthermore, by comparing a group of contrast numerical tests, the numerical results prove that loading area upon the top side of samples would influence the fracture mode of dynamic split experiments, which indicates that the narrow loading plane is better. 展开更多

有水气藏在开发过程中有可能因水侵导致气井产能下降,甚至水淹停产而使得气藏采收率大幅降低。为了给后续研究和工程应用提供参考,系统梳理了现有水侵特征分析方法的现状与研究进展,采用文献分析与技术对比的方法,重点评述了水化学分析... 有水气藏在开发过程中有可能因水侵导致气井产能下降,甚至水淹停产而使得气藏采收率大幅降低。为了给后续研究和工程应用提供参考,系统梳理了现有水侵特征分析方法的现状与研究进展,采用文献分析与技术对比的方法,重点评述了水化学分析、生产动态判别、压力响应、开发测井与测试技术以及数据驱动等方法在水侵类型识别、水体活跃程度评价、水侵路径追踪等方面的适用性与局限性。研究结果表明:(1)水化学分析方法可有效区分不同水源类型,但响应滞后;(2)生产动态分析方法虽简便直观,但却难以定量表征水侵强度;(3)压力响应类方法能够动态监测水侵过程并定量评估其影响,但部分模型尚未充分考虑水封气等机制;(4)开发测井与测试技术具有高分辨率和较强针对性,但实施成本较高;(5)数据驱动方法在产水趋势预测方面展现出良好潜力,但其性能高度依赖于数据质量与算力支撑。结论认为,单一的水侵特征分析方法都存在着局限性,实际应用中需融合多种方法以提升水侵识别与评价的综合精度与可靠性,未来应构建兼顾物理约束与数据驱动的水侵早期预警体系,进而实现从滞后响应向早期主动防控的转变。 展开更多

浮轨式扣件(亦称先锋扣件)是地铁轨道普遍使用的一种高等减振扣件,在车辆轨道动力学模型中常被简化为线性弹簧阻尼单元,但其非线性动态特性对轮轨高频动力学行为影响至关重要。为获得浮轨式扣件系统动态特性,首先,通过锤击法获得其自由... 浮轨式扣件(亦称先锋扣件)是地铁轨道普遍使用的一种高等减振扣件,在车辆轨道动力学模型中常被简化为线性弹簧阻尼单元,但其非线性动态特性对轮轨高频动力学行为影响至关重要。为获得浮轨式扣件系统动态特性,首先,通过锤击法获得其自由状态下的频响特性;其次,利用动态试验台测试预载情况下扣件20 Hz以下的刚度和阻尼频变特性;最后,建立考虑橡胶材料的超弹性和黏弹性本构关系的扣件系统三维实体有限元模型,并基于试验数据对模型进行校准,对20~1 000 Hz频率范围的扣件刚度和阻尼进行模拟。结果表明:在自由状态下,扣件系统的垂向和横向刚度分别为5.38和7.97 kN/mm,垂向和横向阻尼分别为1.86和2.01 kN·s/m。16 kN服役预载下,垂向动态刚度随频率增大而增加(0.5 Hz时21.6 kN/mm,100 Hz时32.7 kN/mm,1 000 Hz时38.6 kN/mm),且增长速率递减,对数频率坐标下呈线性关系;动态阻尼随频率增大而减小(0.5 Hz时900 kN·s/m,100 Hz时6.7 kN·s/m,1 000 Hz时0.76 kN·s/m),且减小速率递减,双对数坐标下呈线性关系。相同加载频率下,扣件系统的动态刚度与动态阻尼均随预载的增加而增大,且增大速率递减。通过对比线性与非线性的浮轨式扣件系统在相同激励下的位移响应特性,得出扣件的非线性对其振动特性影响显著,考虑扣件系统非线性能够提高对钢轨系统振动特性的预测精度。 展开更多

目的研究ZL114A铝合金在不同应变率和温度下的静动态力学性能,采用准静态拉伸试验与动态霍普金森压杆试验相结合的方法,系统分析其流动应力行为,建立Johnson-Cook本构模型。方法通过电子万能试验机进行准静态拉伸试验,获取准静态条件下... 目的研究ZL114A铝合金在不同应变率和温度下的静动态力学性能,采用准静态拉伸试验与动态霍普金森压杆试验相结合的方法,系统分析其流动应力行为,建立Johnson-Cook本构模型。方法通过电子万能试验机进行准静态拉伸试验,获取准静态条件下该材料的应力-应变曲线。结合配有电磁加热装置的霍普金森压杆设备进行动态压缩试验,获取材料在不同温度、不同应变率条件下的应力-应变曲线,探究温度(20~420℃)与应变率(1500~5800 s^(-1))对材料力学性能的影响规律。通过最小二乘法拟合试验数据,建立了适用于高温高应变率条件下的J-C本构模型。结果ZL114A铝合金在常温低应变率条件下表现出较弱的应变率敏感性;在高温条件下表现出较高的温度敏感性;材料的流动应力随应变的增加呈现显著增加的趋势,而温度升高会引发热软化效应,导致流动应力降低。基于最小二乘法拟合试验数据,建立的J-C本构模型能够有效耦合应变、应变率及温度效应,其预测结果与试验数据在一定误差范围内较为吻合。结论建立的Johnson-Cook本构模型能有效预测材料在复杂工况下的力学响应,为航空、汽车和机械工程领域的结构设计和优化提供了理论依据。 展开更多

随着新疆棉花机械化采收率的不断提高,采棉机齿轮传动系统振动过大和轮齿断裂等故障频繁发生。为此,以采棉机后桥减速箱齿轮传动系统为研究对象,利用Catia软件对齿轮模型进行单齿切割、网格划分等预处理,再通过Abaqus软件对齿轮副进行... 随着新疆棉花机械化采收率的不断提高,采棉机齿轮传动系统振动过大和轮齿断裂等故障频繁发生。为此,以采棉机后桥减速箱齿轮传动系统为研究对象,利用Catia软件对齿轮模型进行单齿切割、网格划分等预处理,再通过Abaqus软件对齿轮副进行齿轮加载接触分析,得到影响齿轮动力学响应的关键非线性激励,包括时变啮合刚度与传动误差。基于有限元节点法,建立包含刚性转子-弹性支撑轴-支撑轴承-齿轮啮合作用的动力学模型。采用Newmark-beta法对所建立的动力学模型进行动力学特性分析,计算系统各模态的固有频率与对应的临界转速,仿真分析采棉机行驶作业转速下齿轮所在节点处的振动响应情况。搭建后桥振动响应台架试验台,通过对比振动加速度试验数据与理论分析数据,得到各转速下振动加速度均方根值误差平均值为8.72%,验证了动力学模型与动力学分析的准确性,为求解时变啮合刚度、传动误差等齿轮啮合的非线性激励和预测采棉机后桥减速箱齿轮系统动力学特性提供了有价值的参考。 展开更多

The value of form factor k at different drafts is important in predicting full-scale total resistance and speed for different types of ships. In the ITTC community, most organizations predict form factor k using a low-speed model test. However, this method is problematic for ships with bulbous bows and transom. In this article, a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)-based method is introduced to obtain k for different type of ships at different drafts, and a comparison is made between the CFD method and the model test. The results show that the CFD method produces reasonable k values. A grid generating method and turbulence model are briefly discussed in the context of obtaining a consistent k using CFD. 展开更多
