This paper presents a multiplexed gas sensing system basedon optical frequency comb (OFC) calibrated frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) tuning nonlinearity. Thesystem can be used for multi-parameter synchronous measurement of gas absorption spectrum and multiplexed opticalpath. Multi-channel parallel detection is realized by combining wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and frequencydivision multiplexing (FDM) techniques. By introducing nonlinear optical crystals, broadband spectrum detection is simultaneouslyachieved over a bandwidth of hundreds of nanometers. An OFC with ultra-high frequency stability is used asthe frequency calibration source, which guarantees the measurement accuracy. The test samples involve H13C14N, C_(2)H_(2)and Rb vapor cells of varying densities and 5 parallel measurement experiments are designed. The results show that themeasurement accuracies of spectral absorption line and the optical path are 150 MHz and 20 m, respectively. The schemeoffers the advantages of multiplexed, multi-parameter, wide spectrum and high resolution detection, which can realize theidentification of multi-gas components and the high-precision inversion of absorption lines under different environments. The proposed sensor demonstrates great potential in the field of high-resolution absorption spectrum measurement for gassensing applications.展开更多

With this capability, ROSAR has extensive potential applications, such as self-navigation and self-landing. Moreover, it has many advantages if combined with the frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology. A novel geometric configuration and an imaging algorithm for helicopter-borne FMCW-ROSAR are proposed. Firstly, by per- forming the equivalent phase center principle, the separated trans- mitting and receiving antenna system is equalized to the case of system configuration with antenna for both transmitting and receiving signals. We have developed noninvasive biofeedback examination devices and techniques and discovered that patients with the same tumor type exhibit biofeedback responses to the same, precise frequencies. Intrabuccal administration of 27.12 MHz radiofrequency(RF) electromagnetic fields(EMF), which are amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies, results in long-term objective responses in patients with cancer and is not associated with any significant adverse effects. Intrabuccal administration allows for therapeutic delivery of very low and safe levels of EMF throughout the body as exemplified by responses observed in the femur, liver, adrenal glands, and lungs. In vitro studies have demonstrated that tumor-specific frequencies identified in patients with various forms of cancer are capable of blocking the growth of tumor cells in a tissue- and tumor-specific fashion. Current experimental evidence suggests that tumor-specific modulation frequencies regulate the expression of genes involved in migration and invasion and disrupt the mitotic spindle. This novel targeted treatment approach is emerging as an appealing therapeutic option for patients with advanced cancer given its excellent tolerability. Dissection of the molecular mechanisms accounting for the anti-cancer effects of tumor-specific modulation frequencies is likely to lead to the discovery of novel pathways in cancer.展开更多

Duty cycle and heating frequency are analyzed and discussed with the lower-ionosphere modulated heating model, so as to improve the radiation efficiency of VLF/ELF waves in AM ionospheric heating experiments. Based on numerical simulation, the ranges of parametric selectivity in optimal duty cycle and heating frequency( fHF) are derived. The International Reference Ionosphere 2015(IRI-2015) model and two-parameter model are used to predict background electron density profiles, and optimized ranges of duty cycle for different density profiles are analyzed and compared. The influences of wave polarizations on optimal duty cycle are also discussed. It is shown that intensity of the VLF/ELF equivalent radiation source(M) firstly rises and then falls with the increase of duty cycle. When using the IRI model, M peaks at a duty cycle of 50%, optimally ranging from 40%-70%. For the two-parameter model case, an optimal duty cycle is 40% and the optimized ranges vary from 30%-60%. Heating with an X-mode polarization is more efficient than with the O-mode case in VLF/ELF wave generation. Nevertheless, an optimal duty cycle is almost independent of HF wave polarizations. To obtain better VLF/ELF generation, optional fHFmay be 0.8-0.9 times of foE for the O-mode heating and 0.75-0.85 times for the X-mode polarization case. Finally, the variations of these two parameters in different latitudes are discussed.展开更多

It uses a delay-line and a mixer to sense the slope of the output of a sweep oscillator, so that the original form of frequency function deviated from idealized linear slope is retrieved by means of spectrum analysis. Consequently, the linearity of the LFM signal is determined. The results of simulation show that the error of the measurement is less than 2%.展开更多

Selecting the index of modulation yields selective mechanisms for coupling and decoupling between the internal and the external states of the ions. We name this method the frequency tunable modulation transfer spectroscopy (FTMTS). To realize a stable output of 780 nm semiconductor laser, an FTMTS optical heterodyne frequency stabilization system is constructed. Before entering into the frequency stabilization system, the probe laser passes through an acousto-optical modulator (AOM) twice in advance to achieve tunable frequency while keeping the light path stable. According to the experimental results, the frequency changes from 120 MHz to 190 MHz after the double-pass AOM, and the intensity of laser entering into the system is greatly changed, but there is almost no change in the error signal of the FTMTS spectrum. Using this signal to lock the laser frequency, we can ensure that the frequency of the laser changes with the amount of AOM shift. Therefore, the magneto-optical trap (MOT)-molasses process can be implemented smoothly.展开更多

文摘We present an alternative scheme for implementing the unconventional geometric two-qubit phase gate and prepar- ing multiqubit entanglement by using a frequency-modulated laser field to simultaneously illuminate all ions. Selecting the index of modulation yields selective mechanisms for coupling and decoupling between the internal and the external states of the ions. By the selective mechanisms, we obtain the unconventional geometric two-qubit phase gate, multiparticle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states and highly entangled cluster states. Our scheme is insensitive to the thermal motion of the ions.
文摘We examine MHD processes arising in melts placed in vessels of circular and rectangular cross-sections under the action of amplitude-and-frequency modulated rotating magnetic field. It is established that besides the mean turbulent flow, seven oscillations arise in the melt, whose frequency and amplitude depend on modulation parameters.

文摘An injection-seeded single-frequency Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is accomplished by using a phase modulated rampfire technique. A RbTiOPO4(RTP) electro-optic crystal is selected for effective optical path length modulation of the slave self-filtering unstable resonator. This single-frequency laser is capable of producing 50 m J pulse energy at 1 Hz repetition rate with a pulse width of 16 ns. The standard deviation of laser pulse intensity for consecutive 100 shots from the mean pulse intensity is less than 1.05%. A spectral linewidth of less than 0.5 pm with a frequency jitter of about 14 fm over30 min is obtained.
文摘A pulse frequency modulation(PFM) circuit for retinal prosthesis, which generates electrical pulses with frequency proportional to the intensity of incident light, is presented. The fundamental characteristic of the circuit is described and analyzed. The circuit is realized in 0.6μm CMOS process, and the simulation results testify to the possibility of sub-retinal implantation.
文摘This paper presents the design considerations and implementation of a novel topology digital multistage-noise-shaping (MASH) delta-sigma modulator suitable for fractional-N phase-locked-loop (PLL) frequency synthesis. In an effort to reduce the complexity and dissipation,a pipeline technique has been used, and the proposed carry save tree (CST) algorithm optimizes the multi-input adder structure. The circuit has been verified through Matlab simulation, ASIC implementation, and FPGA experiment, which exhibits high performance and potential for a gigahertz range,low-power monolithic CMOS frequency synthesizer.

文摘We introduce a new method of simultaneously implementing frequency stabilization and frequency shift for semiconductor lasers. Therefore, the magneto-optical trap (MOT)-molasses process can be implemented smoothly.
