Proceedings of criminal investigations have evolved throughout centuries as forensic science developed advanced scientific techniques from basic identification practices.Different traditional forensic approaches including fingerprint analysis and bloodstain pattern analysis help constitute significant contributions to criminal investigations. The techniques depend heavily on human interpretation yet this process takes substantial time while also threatening errors through human mistakes. The integration of artificial intelligence(AI)together with machine learning techniques has transformed forensic science through increasing accuracy levels, efficiency, and predictive power.AI technology now assists investigative processes through its applications in digital forensics,DNA analysis, facial recognition, and fingerprint reconstruction leading to improved investigative outcomes. This review tracks forensic science history and explains traditional method weaknesses before exploring AI technologies that transform forensic investigations today. The analysis examines the technological integration issues which encompass both ethical matters and the need to verify AI-produced forensic evidence.Traditional skills will harmonize with contemporary technological advances to construct a more dependable justice system for the future of forensic science. 展开更多
