The film was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The XRD pattern confirms the growth of polycrystalline TiN thin film. The XPS results indicate that the synthesized film is non-stoichiometric and contains titanium nitride, silicon nitride, and a phase of silicon oxy-nitride. The SEM and AFM results reveal that the surface of the synthesized film is quite smooth with 0.59 nm roughness (root-mean-square).展开更多
Transcranial focused ultrasound(tFUS)is an emerging modality with strong potential for non-invasively treating brain disorders.However,the inhomogeneity and complex structure of the skull induce substantial phase aber...Transcranial focused ultrasound(tFUS)is an emerging modality with strong potential for non-invasively treating brain disorders.However,the inhomogeneity and complex structure of the skull induce substantial phase aberrations and pressure attenuation;these can distort and shift the acoustic focus,thus hindering the efficiency of tFUS therapy.To achieve effective treatments,phased array transducers combined with aberration correction algorithms are commonly implemented.The present report aims to provide a comprehensive review of the current methods used for tFUS phase aberration correction.We first searched the PubMed and Web of Science databases for studies on phase aberration correction algorithms,identifying 54 articles for review.Relevant information,including the principles of algorithms and refocusing performances,were then extracted from the selected articles.The phase correction algorithms involved two main steps:acoustic field estimation and transmitted pulse adjustment.Our review identified key benchmarks for evaluating the effectiveness of these algorithms,each of which was used in at least three studies.These benchmarks included pressure and intensity,positioning error,focal region size,peak sidelobe ratio,and computational efficiency.Algorithm performances varied under different benchmarks,thus highlighting the importance of application-specific algorithm selection for achieving optimal tFUS therapy outcomes.The present review provides a thorough overview and comparison of various phase correction algorithms,and may offer valuable guidance to tFUS researchers when selecting appropriate phase correction algorithms for specific applications.展开更多
Three-dimensional(3D)nanoprinting via two-photon polymerization offers unparalleled design flexibility and precision,thereby enabling rapid prototyping of advanced micro-optical elements and systems that have found im...Three-dimensional(3D)nanoprinting via two-photon polymerization offers unparalleled design flexibility and precision,thereby enabling rapid prototyping of advanced micro-optical elements and systems that have found important applications in endomicroscopy and biomedical imaging.The potential of this versatile tool for monolithic manufacturing of dynamic micro-opto-electro-mechanical systems(MOEMSs),however,has not yet been sufficiently explored.This work introduces a 3D-nanoprinted lens actuator with a large optical aperture,optimized for remote focusing in miniaturized imaging systems.The device integrates orthoplanar linear motion springs,a self-aligned sintered micro-magnet,and a monolithic lens,actuated by dual microcoils for uniaxial motion.The use of 3D nanoprinting allows complete design freedom for the integrated optical lens,whereas the monolithic fabrication ensures inherent alignment of the lens with the mechanical elements.With a lens diameter of 1.4 mm and a compact footprint of 5.74 mm,it achieves high mechanical robustness at resonant frequencies exceeding 300 Hz while still providing a large displacement range of 200μm(±100μm).A comprehensive analysis of optical and mechanical performance,including the effects of coil temperature and polymer viscoelasticity,demonstrates its advantages over conventional micro-electro-mechanical system actuators,showcasing its potential for next-generation imaging applications.展开更多
This study examines whether and how cues focusing enhances Chinese-speaking English learners’engagement in comparison,thereby facilitating their acquisition of English articles within xu-based comparative continuatio...This study examines whether and how cues focusing enhances Chinese-speaking English learners’engagement in comparison,thereby facilitating their acquisition of English articles within xu-based comparative continuation writing tasks.Fifty English majors from a Chinese university were randomly assigned to three groups and each group was required to complete a comparative continuation task with one of three conditions:paired cues(cues presented in pairs),randomized cues(cues presented in random order),or implicit cues(no explicit cues provided).All participants undertook pretests,posttests,and delayed tests on English article knowledge,and ten of them volunteered to take follow-up interviews.The results indicate that:1)paired cues were more effective than randomized or implicit cues in promoting the acquisition of English articles;and 2)learners in the paired cues condition produced more target-like article usage in their continuation writings compared to those in the other two conditions.The effectiveness of paired cues is attributed to an enhanced contrast effect,which prompts learners to identify similarities and differences between cues within each pair,relates cue explanations and examples with actual article usage in the reading text,and reflects upon and compares their own article productions against those in the provided reading text.The study concludes that the process of learning through continuation is fundamentally supported by learners’capacity for comparison,reinforcing its role as a core element of xu-competence.展开更多
Although previous studies have demonstrated that transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation protects the ischemic brain,clear criteria for the stimulation time window and intensity are lacking.Electrical impedance to...Although previous studies have demonstrated that transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation protects the ischemic brain,clear criteria for the stimulation time window and intensity are lacking.Electrical impedance tomography enables real-time monitoring of changes in cerebral blood perfusion within the ischemic brain,but investigating the feasibility of using this method to assess post-stroke rehabilitation in vivo remains critical.In this study,ischemic stroke was induced in rats through middle cerebral artery occlusion surgery.Transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation was used to treat the rat model of ischemia,and electrical impedance tomography was used to measure impedance during both the acute stage of ischemia and the rehabilitation stage following the stimulation.Electrical impedance tomography results indicated that cerebral impedance increased after the onset of ischemia and decreased following transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation.Furthermore,the stimulation promoted motor function recovery,reduced cerebral infarction volume in the rat model of ischemic stroke,and induced the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the ischemic brain.Our results also revealed a significant correlation between the impedance of the ischemic brain post-intervention and improvements in behavioral scores and infarct volume.This study shows that daily administration of transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation for 20 minutes to the ischemic hemisphere 24 hours after cerebral ischemia enhanced motor recovery in a rat model of ischemia.Additionally,our findings indicate that electrical impedance tomography can serve as a valuable tool for quantitatively evaluating rehabilitation after ischemic stroke in vivo.These findings suggest the feasibility of using impedance data collected via electrical impedance tomography to clinically assess the effects of rehabilitatory interventions for patients with ischemic stroke.展开更多
The effect of plasma and charged particle interaction with spacecraft in a low Earth orbit(LEO)environment leads to ion focusing and the formation of an ion void in the downstream region as a result of charging.Simula...The effect of plasma and charged particle interaction with spacecraft in a low Earth orbit(LEO)environment leads to ion focusing and the formation of an ion void in the downstream region as a result of charging.Simulations and investigations using a fixed potential imposed on the spacecraft showed the nonsignificance of geophysical parameter changes to ion focusing.Variation of the temperature ratio(T_(r))contributed only to local ion focusing and manifested as two-ion streamers dispersed at the upper and lower edges of the spacecraft-the outermost layers of the satellite structure at the top and bottom,respectively.A simulation involving changing the ambient plasma density(N_(p))also showed the formation of local ion focusing,in which ions were more concentrated as the density increased.Furthermore,auroral electron density(N_(ae))variation had no clear impact on ion focusing,as indicated by static two-ion structures in the wake field.However,variation of the object potential(ϕ)strongly affected ion focusing formation,leading to distortion of the initial ion void region behind the spacecraft.The formation of ion focusing in this study was subject to the electric field produced by the object potential and the ambipolar electric field resulting from plasma expansion in the downstream region.展开更多
AIMTo evaluate intra-session repeatability and reproducibility of optical quality parameters measured at objective and subjective best focuses in a double-pass system.METHODSThirty Chinese healthy adults (19 to 40 yea...AIMTo evaluate intra-session repeatability and reproducibility of optical quality parameters measured at objective and subjective best focuses in a double-pass system.METHODSThirty Chinese healthy adults (19 to 40 years old) meeting our inclusion criterion were enrolled in the study. After a basic eye examination, two methods of optical quality measurement, based on subjective and objective best focuses were performed using the Optical Quality Analysis System (OQAS) with an artificial pupil diameter of 4.0 mm.RESULTSWith each method, three consecutive measurements of the following parameters: the modulation transfer function cutoff frequency (MTF<sub>cutoff</sub>), the Strehl<sup>2D</sup> ratio, the OQAS values (OVs) at contrasts of 100%, 20%, 9% and the objective scatter index (OSI) were performed by an experienced examiner. The repeatability of each method was evaluated by the repeatability limit (RL) and the coefficient of repeatability (COR). Reproducibility of the two methods was evaluated by intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) and the 95% limits of agreement (Bland and Altman analysis). Thirty subjects, seven females and twenty three males, of whom 15 right eyes and 15 left eyes were selected randomly for recruitment in the study. The RLs (percentage) for the six parameters measured at objective focus and subjective focus ranged from 8.44% to 15.13% and 10.85% to 16.26%, respectively. The CORs for the two measurement methods ranged from 8.27% to 14.83% and 10.63% to 15.93%, respectively. With regard to reproducibility, the ICCs for the six parameters of OQAS ranged from 0.024 to 0.276. The 95% limits of agreement obtained for the six parameters (in comparison of the two methods) ranged from -0.57 to 42.18 (MTF<sub>cutoff</sub>), -0.01 to 0.23 (Strehl<sup>2D</sup> ratio), -0.02 to 1.40 (OV<sub>100%</sub>), -0.10 to 1.75 (OV<sub>20%</sub>), -0.14 to 1.80 (OV<sub>9%</sub>) and -1.46 to 0.18 (OSI).CONCLUSIONMeasurements provided by OQAS with either method showed a good repeatability. However, the results obtained from the two different measurement methods showed a poor reproducibility. These findings suggest that it might be best to evaluate patients' optical quality by OQAS using the best focus as chosen automatically by the instrument.展开更多

Optimized by Fe content and process, Sm(Co0.72Fe0.15Cu0.1Zr0.03)7.5 magnet with B1〉0.75 T and Hci〉1300 kA/m at 300 ℃ can be obtained. According to the performance data of Sm(Co0.72Fe0.15Cu0.1Zr0.03)7.5, the magnetic field along central axis Bz in periodic permanent magnet (PPM) focusing system was simulated using electromagnetic field analysis software Maxwell 2D/3D. The Bz exhibited typical cosine curve along central axis, and the peak value of Bz was high enough to meet the demand of PPM focusing system at room temperature even at 200±20 ℃. Additionally, a kind of simple cooling structure for PPM focusing system was designed by setting cooling pipe between polepieces. Simulated results showed that smooth cosine curve of Bz was successfully achieved with good control of the thickness of cooling pipe.展开更多

It is found that with the temperature increasing, the decrease rate of magnetic induction peak(Bz)maxof single magnet ring is greater than that of remanence Brof magnet in the range from room temperature to 200 °C, however,the PPM focusing system do have the same temperature characteristics of permanent-magnet materials. It indicates that the magnetic temperature properties of the PPM system can be effectively controlled by adjusting the temperature properties of the magnets. Moreover, the higher permeability of the magnets indicates the less Hcb, giving rise to lower magnetic induction peak (Bz)′max: Finally, it should be noted that the magnetic orientation deviation angle θ(/15°) of permanent magnets has little effect on the focusing magnetic field of the PPM system at different temperatures and the temperature stability. The obtained results are beneficial to the design and selection of permanent magnets for PPM focusing system.展开更多
Objective:Barriers to healthcare in Ghana are multifaceted.Many people,including patients and providers,face them at different levels.To address these barriers,there is a need to explore the role of an intercultural h...Objective:Barriers to healthcare in Ghana are multifaceted.Many people,including patients and providers,face them at different levels.To address these barriers,there is a need to explore the role of an intercultural healthcare system.This paper explores and provides the first evidence on ways through which an intercultural healthcare system can reduce the sociocultural and economic barriers to healthcare in Ghana.Methods:Focus group discussions with 35 participants comprising 17 healthcare users,11 formal healthcare providers and 7 alternative healthcare providers were conducted to gather data.Thematic analyses were performed on the transcribed data and presented based on a posteriori inductive reduction approach.Results:Findings reveal that an intercultural healthcare system in Ghana can help reduce barriers to healthcare,especially cultural,social and economic barriers,by fostering an enhanced relationship between culture and healthcare,promoting affordable healthcare and promoting effective communication between healthcare providers and users.Weak institutional support,lack of strong political will and commitment,lack of training to meet standards of practice,poor registration and regulatory measures,and lack of universal acceptance inhibit implementation of an intercultural healthcare system in Ghana.Conclusion:The support for intercultural healthcare system and the agreement on its perceived ability to reduce social,cultural and economic healthcare barriers for service users offer an opportunity for policymakers to demonstrate a stronger political will and improved commitment for effective education and training,enforcement of regulatory measures,inclusion of intercultural healthcare in medical school curricula across the country,and community engagement.展开更多

To treat different indications, it is often necessary to design special focused ultrasound devices and treatment plans, which poses great challenges and results in substantial costs during software development. This article introduces a general software architecture that can be applied to three different focused ultrasound devices for the treatment of uterine fibroids, breast fibroids, and pain palliation of bone metastases, respectively, and can be integrated with GE Discovery or Signa MRI scanners and Xingaoyi BroadScan MRI scanners. Finally, the proposed software architecture was shown to possess desirable universality and safety through various tests and animal experimental studies.展开更多

Harmonic cancellation technique is applied to these power amplifiers, which can eliminate the 3rd harmonic and all even harmonics. Since this technique requires two channels of phase signal to control one channel of power amplifier, the signal generator is required to double its output. The transducer array proposed in this study has 100 elements. So we choose an FPGA chip to generate 200 driving signals, and each channel has a phase resolution of 2ns, less than 1°. The phase signal from the FPGA meets the requirement of driving the power amplifiers. The output waveform of one channel of power amplifier(voltage across the transducer) is evaluated, and shows fewer harmonic components.展开更多

文摘The effect of plasma and charged particle interaction with spacecraft in a low Earth orbit(LEO)environment leads to ion focusing and the formation of an ion void in the downstream region as a result of charging.Simulations and investigations using a fixed potential imposed on the spacecraft showed the nonsignificance of geophysical parameter changes to ion focusing.Variation of the temperature ratio(T_(r))contributed only to local ion focusing and manifested as two-ion streamers dispersed at the upper and lower edges of the spacecraft-the outermost layers of the satellite structure at the top and bottom,respectively.A simulation involving changing the ambient plasma density(N_(p))also showed the formation of local ion focusing,in which ions were more concentrated as the density increased.Furthermore,auroral electron density(N_(ae))variation had no clear impact on ion focusing,as indicated by static two-ion structures in the wake field.However,variation of the object potential(ϕ)strongly affected ion focusing formation,leading to distortion of the initial ion void region behind the spacecraft.The formation of ion focusing in this study was subject to the electric field produced by the object potential and the ambipolar electric field resulting from plasma expansion in the downstream region.
文摘AIMTo evaluate intra-session repeatability and reproducibility of optical quality parameters measured at objective and subjective best focuses in a double-pass system.METHODSThirty Chinese healthy adults (19 to 40 years old) meeting our inclusion criterion were enrolled in the study. After a basic eye examination, two methods of optical quality measurement, based on subjective and objective best focuses were performed using the Optical Quality Analysis System (OQAS) with an artificial pupil diameter of 4.0 mm.RESULTSWith each method, three consecutive measurements of the following parameters: the modulation transfer function cutoff frequency (MTF<sub>cutoff</sub>), the Strehl<sup>2D</sup> ratio, the OQAS values (OVs) at contrasts of 100%, 20%, 9% and the objective scatter index (OSI) were performed by an experienced examiner. The repeatability of each method was evaluated by the repeatability limit (RL) and the coefficient of repeatability (COR). Reproducibility of the two methods was evaluated by intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) and the 95% limits of agreement (Bland and Altman analysis). Thirty subjects, seven females and twenty three males, of whom 15 right eyes and 15 left eyes were selected randomly for recruitment in the study. The RLs (percentage) for the six parameters measured at objective focus and subjective focus ranged from 8.44% to 15.13% and 10.85% to 16.26%, respectively. The CORs for the two measurement methods ranged from 8.27% to 14.83% and 10.63% to 15.93%, respectively. With regard to reproducibility, the ICCs for the six parameters of OQAS ranged from 0.024 to 0.276. The 95% limits of agreement obtained for the six parameters (in comparison of the two methods) ranged from -0.57 to 42.18 (MTF<sub>cutoff</sub>), -0.01 to 0.23 (Strehl<sup>2D</sup> ratio), -0.02 to 1.40 (OV<sub>100%</sub>), -0.10 to 1.75 (OV<sub>20%</sub>), -0.14 to 1.80 (OV<sub>9%</sub>) and -1.46 to 0.18 (OSI).CONCLUSIONMeasurements provided by OQAS with either method showed a good repeatability. However, the results obtained from the two different measurement methods showed a poor reproducibility. These findings suggest that it might be best to evaluate patients' optical quality by OQAS using the best focus as chosen automatically by the instrument.

文摘Rare earth permanent magnets Sm(Co, Fe, Cu, Zr)z with outstanding performance and high-temperature thermal stability were fabricated. Optimized by Fe content and process, Sm(Co0.72Fe0.15Cu0.1Zr0.03)7.5 magnet with B1〉0.75 T and Hci〉1300 kA/m at 300 ℃ can be obtained. According to the performance data of Sm(Co0.72Fe0.15Cu0.1Zr0.03)7.5, the magnetic field along central axis Bz in periodic permanent magnet (PPM) focusing system was simulated using electromagnetic field analysis software Maxwell 2D/3D. The Bz exhibited typical cosine curve along central axis, and the peak value of Bz was high enough to meet the demand of PPM focusing system at room temperature even at 200±20 ℃. Additionally, a kind of simple cooling structure for PPM focusing system was designed by setting cooling pipe between polepieces. Simulated results showed that smooth cosine curve of Bz was successfully achieved with good control of the thickness of cooling pipe.

文摘Fix a collection of polynomial vector fields on R3with a singularity at the origin,for every one of which the linear part at the origin has two pure imaginary and one non-zero eigenvalue. Some such systems admit a local analytic first integral,which then defines a local center manifold of the system. Conditions for existence of a first integral are given by the vanishing certain polynomial or rational functions in the coefficients of the system called focus quantities. In this paper we prove that the focus quantities have a structure analogous to that in the two-dimensional case and use it to formulate an efficient algorithm for computing them.

文摘In this study, finite element analysis based on an Ansoft Maxwell software was used to reveal the temperature stability of a magnet ring and the equivalent structural periodic permanent-magnet(PPM) focusing system. It is found that with the temperature increasing, the decrease rate of magnetic induction peak(Bz)maxof single magnet ring is greater than that of remanence Brof magnet in the range from room temperature to 200 °C, however,the PPM focusing system do have the same temperature characteristics of permanent-magnet materials. It indicates that the magnetic temperature properties of the PPM system can be effectively controlled by adjusting the temperature properties of the magnets. Moreover, the higher permeability of the magnets indicates the less Hcb, giving rise to lower magnetic induction peak (Bz)′max: Finally, it should be noted that the magnetic orientation deviation angle θ(/15°) of permanent magnets has little effect on the focusing magnetic field of the PPM system at different temperatures and the temperature stability. The obtained results are beneficial to the design and selection of permanent magnets for PPM focusing system.
文摘Objective:Barriers to healthcare in Ghana are multifaceted.Many people,including patients and providers,face them at different levels.To address these barriers,there is a need to explore the role of an intercultural healthcare system.This paper explores and provides the first evidence on ways through which an intercultural healthcare system can reduce the sociocultural and economic barriers to healthcare in Ghana.Methods:Focus group discussions with 35 participants comprising 17 healthcare users,11 formal healthcare providers and 7 alternative healthcare providers were conducted to gather data.Thematic analyses were performed on the transcribed data and presented based on a posteriori inductive reduction approach.Results:Findings reveal that an intercultural healthcare system in Ghana can help reduce barriers to healthcare,especially cultural,social and economic barriers,by fostering an enhanced relationship between culture and healthcare,promoting affordable healthcare and promoting effective communication between healthcare providers and users.Weak institutional support,lack of strong political will and commitment,lack of training to meet standards of practice,poor registration and regulatory measures,and lack of universal acceptance inhibit implementation of an intercultural healthcare system in Ghana.Conclusion:The support for intercultural healthcare system and the agreement on its perceived ability to reduce social,cultural and economic healthcare barriers for service users offer an opportunity for policymakers to demonstrate a stronger political will and improved commitment for effective education and training,enforcement of regulatory measures,inclusion of intercultural healthcare in medical school curricula across the country,and community engagement.

文摘Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery (MRgFUS) is an emerging, non-invasive hyperthermia technology which can be used for the treatment of benign and malignant tumours, in conjunction with intracranial neurological diseases. To treat different indications, it is often necessary to design special focused ultrasound devices and treatment plans, which poses great challenges and results in substantial costs during software development. This article introduces a general software architecture that can be applied to three different focused ultrasound devices for the treatment of uterine fibroids, breast fibroids, and pain palliation of bone metastases, respectively, and can be integrated with GE Discovery or Signa MRI scanners and Xingaoyi BroadScan MRI scanners. Finally, the proposed software architecture was shown to possess desirable universality and safety through various tests and animal experimental studies.

文摘Benefiting from the induced image charge on film surface,the nanoparticle aggregating on metal exhibits interesting optical properties.In this work,a linear metal nanoparticle trimer on metal film system has been investigated to explore the novel optical phenomenon.Both the electric field and surface charge distributions demonstrate the light is focused on film greatly by the nanoparticles at two sides,which could be strongly modulated by the wavelength of incident light.And the influence of nanoparticle in middle on this light focusing ability has also been studied here,which is explained by the plasmon hybridization theory.Our finding about light focusing in nanoparticle aggregating on metal film not only enlarges the novel phenomenon of surface plasmon but also has great application prospect in the field of surface-enhanced spectra,surface catalysis,solar cells,water splitting,etc.

文摘The feasibility of a new full bridge high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) amplifier system with harmonic cancellation is evaluated in this study. Harmonic cancellation technique is applied to these power amplifiers, which can eliminate the 3rd harmonic and all even harmonics. Since this technique requires two channels of phase signal to control one channel of power amplifier, the signal generator is required to double its output. The transducer array proposed in this study has 100 elements. So we choose an FPGA chip to generate 200 driving signals, and each channel has a phase resolution of 2ns, less than 1°. The phase signal from the FPGA meets the requirement of driving the power amplifiers. The output waveform of one channel of power amplifier(voltage across the transducer) is evaluated, and shows fewer harmonic components.
