The evaporation behaviors are crucial for the flame location estimation in liquid rocketengines.This work,for the first time,experimentally reports the sub-millimeter droplet evaporationcharacteristics of the corrosive dinitrogen tetroxide(NTO,one prevailing hypergolic oxidizer)athigh ambient pressure up to 4.5 MPa.An in-house corrosion-resistant droplet generator is usedto generate isolated flying droplets of sub-millimeter size,which are then exposed in a gas environ-ment with temperatures between 1010 K and 1210 K and pressures in the range between 2.0 MPaand 4.5 MPa,provided by an optical rapid compression machine.Parallelly,a theoretical modelconsidering both the droplet ambient convection and the NTO dissociation is developed.Resultsindicate that firstly,the present theoretical model that considers the transient droplet-ambient con-vection as well as the temperature and pressure dependent rate of dissociation shows good agree-ment with the experimentally observed droplet lifetime.In addition,the flying droplets velocityregress gradually due to momentum exchange with the ambient,which is more prominent at higherpressure.The evaporation caused droplet size reduction is consistent with the classical D^(2)-law pre-diction,in the present temperature and pressure range.Finally,higher temperature and pressureaccelerate the evaporation and an empirical correlation for the temperature and pressure dependentevaporation rate constant is proposed,which shows good agreement with experiment and simula-tion results. 展开更多

Experimental research on three-axis control of flying-wing aircraft based on active flow control

The flying-wing aircraft has excellent aerodynamic efficiency and stealth performance.However,due to the lack of tails,the flying-wing aircraft has a serious attitude control problem.In this paper,the effective flow control strategy of three-axis control is proposed by using continuous jets for a flapless flying-wing aircraft.The wind tunnel test of two kinds of flying-wing models,namely one flow control model and one mechanical control model,is conducted,and the control effect is analyzed and compared.By simultaneous blowing of the circulation control actuators inboard and differential blowing of the circulation control actuators outboard,the pitch and roll controls are achieved,respectively.It also has an effective control effect at very large angles of attack where the conventional control surface fails.A linear relationship is found between the increment of the controlled aerodynamic force/moment coefficient and the momentum coefficient for circulation control actuators.Moreover,to resolve the difficulty in yaw control,a novel wingtip jet is proposed based on the concept of the all-moving tip and compared with apex jet and circulation control jet.It is found that the wingtip jet is the most efficient actuator,followed by the simultaneous-blowing circulation control jet.Therefore,based on the research above,two optimized fluidic control configurations are proposed.One employs circulation control jet and wingtip jet,and the other is completely dependent on circulation control jet.Finally,the flow control mechanism of circulation control is discussed.Circulation control significantly accelerates the flow on the upper surface of the airfoil in attached flow and reduces the flow separation region in separated flow,leading to aerodynamic performance improvement.These results provide an important theoretic basis for the flapless flight control of flying-wing aircraft. 展开更多

To address the challenges of long commuting times,traffic congestion,high energy consumption,and emissions in inter-city travel,a new type of flying coach has been developed.This innovation aims to significantly shorten inter-city commuting times,enhance travel efficiency,and simultaneously reduce energy consumption and emissions.The flying coach integrates rail power supply technology,an intelligent operating system,and advanced new materials,comprising a catenary power supply guide rod and various sensor components.Based on analysis of traditional aircraft design principles,the research team simulated the design of the rail-powered flying coach using software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for three-dimensional modeling.The analysis results indicate that,compared to traditional aircraft and rail trains,the design of the new flying coach reduces its overall weight while maintaining carrying capacity,thereby improving commuting efficiency and environmental performance.This development lays a solid foundation for creating a greener,more efficient,and convenient inter-city transportation network. 展开更多

In response to the need for a supportive on-orbit platform for future Mars exploration missions,this paper proposes the design and implementation of an autonomous spacecraft formation flying system near the Martian synchronous orbit using fuzzy learning-based intelligent control.A detailed analysis of spacecraft relative motion in the Mars environment is conducted,deducing the necessary conditions to reach the Martian synchronous orbit constraints.The modified Clohessy-Wiltshire(C-W)equation with Martian J_(2)(Oblateness index)perturbation is used as a reference to design a fuzzy learning-based intelligent and robust nonlinear control approach,which helps to autonomously track the desired formation configuration and stabilizes it.An introduction to spacecraft propulsion mechanisms is provided to analyze the feasibility of using electrical thrusters for spacecraft formation configuration tracking and stabilization in Martian synchronous orbits.The simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed control system for long-term on-orbit operations and reveal its reliability for designing intelligent deep-space formation flying configurations,such as an autonomous Mars observatory,a Martian telescope,or an interferometer. 展开更多

Passively safe configuration design for spacecraft swarm flying with boundary constraints

This paper investigates the configuration design associated with boundary-constrained swarm flying.An analytic swarm configuration is identified to ensure the passive safety between each pair of spacecraft in the radial-cross-track plane.For the first time,this work derives the explicit configurable spacecraft amount to clarify the configuration's accommodation capacity while considering the maximum inter-spacecraft separation constraint.For larger-scale design problem that involves hundreds of spacecraft,this paper proposes an optimization framework that integrates a Relative Orbit Element(ROE)affine transformation operation and successional convex optimization.The framework establishes a multi-subcluster swarm structure,allowing decoupling the maintenance issues of each subcluster.Compared with previous design methods,it ensures that the computational cost for constraints verification only scales linearly with the swarm size,while also preserving the configuration optimization capacities.Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed analytic configuration strictly meets the design constraints.It is also shown that the proposed framework reduces the handled constraint amount by two orders compared with direct optimization,while achieving a remarkable swarm safety enhancement based on the existing analytic configuration. 展开更多

Tiltrotors have three flight modes that pose control problems and quality defects during the conversion process.To address this,a novel flying qualities-based time-varying stability augmentation system is designed to achieve multi-mode,nonlinear,and time-varying stability.The system integrates a nonlinear time-varying control law with the flying qualities requirements for all three flight modes.It consists of an inner and outer loop control framework,where the control law in the inner loop is designed based on the Lyapunov theorem of stability.The reference models in the outer loop are derived from the flying qualities criteria to meet level one flying qualities requirements.To evaluate the conversion process,a time-varying flying qualities evaluation method is developed,which includes the conversion path,pilot model,and time-varying flying qualities index.The proposed time-varying stability augmentation control system is then tested through simulation during the conversion process.A pilot-aircraft closed-loop system is established for conducting experiments.Comparison between simulation results and pilot-in-loop experiment results demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed control system.Furthermore,it proves that the evaluation method is suitable for analyzing time-varying systems.This research can be valuable in designing and evaluating stability augmentation controls for strongly time-varying systems. 展开更多

Herein,a control method based on the optimal energy efficiency of a hydraulic quadruped robot was proposed,which not only realizes the optimal energy efficiency of flying trot gait but also ensures the stability of high-speed movement.Concretely,the energy consumption per unit distance was adopted as the energy efficiency evaluation index based on the constant pressure oil supply characteristics of the hydraulic system,and the global optimization algorithm was adopted to solve the optimal parameters.Afterward,the gait parameters that affect the energy efficiency of quadruped were analyzed and the mapping relationship between each parameter and energy efficiency was captured,so as to select the optimum combination of energy efficiency parameters,which is significant to improve endurance capability.Furthermore,to ensure the stability of the high-speed flying trot gait motion of the hydraulic quadruped robot,the active compliance control strategy was employed.Lastly,the proposed method was successfully verified by simulations and experiments.The experimental results reveal that the flying trot gait of the hydraulic quadruped robot can be stably controlled at a speed of 2.2 m/s. 展开更多

The flying foxes optimization(FFO)algorithm,as a newly introduced metaheuristic algorithm,is inspired by the survival tactics of flying foxes in heat wave environments.FFO preferentially selects the best-performing individuals.This tendency will cause the newly generated solution to remain closely tied to the candidate optimal in the search area.To address this issue,the paper introduces an opposition-based learning-based search mechanism for FFO algorithm(IFFO).Firstly,this paper introduces niching techniques to improve the survival list method,which not only focuses on the adaptability of individuals but also considers the population’s crowding degree to enhance the global search capability.Secondly,an initialization strategy of opposition-based learning is used to perturb the initial population and elevate its quality.Finally,to verify the superiority of the improved search mechanism,IFFO,FFO and the cutting-edge metaheuristic algorithms are compared and analyzed using a set of test functions.The results prove that compared with other algorithms,IFFO is characterized by its rapid convergence,precise results and robust stability. 展开更多

A Criterion Based on Closed-loop Pilot-aircraft Systems for Predicting Flying Qualities 被引量:2

During the process of aircraft design, the mathematical model of pilot control behavior characteristics is always used to predict aircraft flying qualities (FQ). This is one of the important methods to avoid pilot-aircraft adverse coupling. In order to study the FQ criterion based on closed-loop pilot-aircraft systems, first, an experimental database is built, which includes 40 aircraft dynamics configurations and the corresponding flight simulation results. Second, the mathematical pilot models with a set of different aircraft configurations are obtained by this experimental database. Then, two FQ criteria, Neal-Smith criterion and Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) criterion, are analyzed. And the relationship between the FQ level evaluated by actual pilot and the parameters of closed-loop pilot-aircraft systems is studied. Finally, an improved criterion of aircraft FQ is built based on the above two criteria. This new criterion is further used to predict FQ for four new aircraft dynamics configurations, and the prediction results verify its accuracy and practicability. 展开更多

为了明确FGF2、LIF和IGF1(FLI)改善牛卵母细胞体外成熟的作用机制。本研究使用屠宰场收集的卵巢,将从卵巢中抽取的卵丘卵母细胞复合体(COCs)随机分为对照组和FLI组,进行体外成熟,每组30枚COCs,每个试验重复3次。体外成熟24 h后检测第一... 为了明确FGF2、LIF和IGF1(FLI)改善牛卵母细胞体外成熟的作用机制。本研究使用屠宰场收集的卵巢,将从卵巢中抽取的卵丘卵母细胞复合体(COCs)随机分为对照组和FLI组,进行体外成熟,每组30枚COCs,每个试验重复3次。体外成熟24 h后检测第一极体排出率、卵丘扩展情况、线粒体膜电位、皮质颗粒分布、培养基中葡萄糖消耗量和丙酮酸含量、卵母细胞氧化还原态、TZPs数量、活性氧含量、相关基因的表达;并统计后续胚胎发育的卵裂率、囊胚率和囊胚细胞数。结果表明,FLI组卵丘扩展指数显著高于对照组(分别为3.16±0.04和2.43±0.02,P<0.001)。与对照组相比,FLI组卵母细胞的卵丘扩展相关基因表达升高(P<0.05),皮质颗粒向卵周迁移增多(P<0.05),但是卵母细胞第一极体排出率、线粒体膜电位没有显著变化(P>0.05)。与对照组相比,FLI组的培养基中葡萄糖的消耗、丙酮酸的含量显著增加(P<0.05),卵母细胞内NADPH显著增加(P<0.001),并且糖代谢相关基因的表达显著上升(P<0.05)。添加FLI可以显著降低卵母细胞内氧化还原水平、FAD++和ROS水平(P<0.05)。IVM 8 h时,FLI组TZPs数量显著高于对照组(分别为106±6.91和78±8.76,P<0.001)。体外受精后,FLI组卵裂率和囊胚率显著高于对照组(分别为(86.49±0.80)%、(37.44±0.42)%和(74.08±0.91)%、(27.34±1.08)%,P<0.05)。结果显示,FLI通过增加糖代谢提高了卵母细胞体外成熟质量和胚胎发育。 展开更多

This paper aims to provide further study on the nonlinear modeling and controller design of formation flying spacecraft in deep space missions. First, in the Sun-Earth system, the nonlinear formation dynamics for the circular restricted three-body problem (CRTBP) and elliptic restricted three-body problem (ERTBP) are presented. Then, with the Floquet mode method, an impulsive controller is developed to keep the Chief on the desired Halo orbit. Finally, a nonlinear adaptive control scheme based on Nonzero set- point LQR and neural network is proposed to achieve high precision formation maneuver and keeping. The simulation results indicate that the proposed nonlinear control strategy is reasonable as it considers not only the orbit keeping of the Chief, but also the formation modeling inaccuracy. Moreover, the nonlinear adaptive control scheme is effective to improve the control accuracy of the formation keeping. 展开更多

Recycling rare earth elements(REEs)from waste is necessary for an environmentally sustainable reuse and wastewater management approach.Na-A zeolite was synthesized from coal fly ash(CFA)and applied for Ce^(3+)adsorption.Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectra show peaks at 790,500 and 467 cm^(-1),which are bond vibrations of Si-O-Si,Si with Al-O and Si-O-.The surface area is 15.88 m^(2)/g,with a pore size of 2.14 nm.SEM images show a cubic shape,which indicates the formation of zeolite.Field emission and energy disperse spectroscopy(EDS)shows the formation of Si,Al,Na,and O.Na-A zeolite was applied for Ce^(3+)adsorption.The optimum conditions for Ce^(3+)adsorption are 50 ppm concentration,360 min,and pH 6.The maximum adsorption capacity is 176.49 mg/g.Based on the results,it is found that the adsorption of Ce^(3+)by Na-A zeolite is pseudo-second-order.The desorption test using HNO_(3) is more effective than using HCl and H_(2)SO_(4).A desorption efficiency of 97.22%is obtained at 4 cycles.Adsorption test using real sample wastewater demonstrates an adsorption efficiency of 83.35%. 展开更多

Three types of activators such as sodium hydroxide,calcium oxide and triethanolamine(TEA)are used to establish different activation environments to address the problems associated with the process of activating fly ash paste.We conducted mechanical tests and numerical simulations to understand the evolution of microstructure,and used environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)techniques to analyze the microenvironments of the samples.The mechanical properties of fly ash paste under different activation conditions and the changes in the microstructure and composition were investigated.The results revealed that under conditions of low NaOH content(1%-3%),the strength of the sample increased significantly.When the content exceeded 4%,the rate of increase in strength decreased.Based on the results,the optimal NaOH content was identified,which was about 4%.A good activation effect,especially for short-term activation(3-7 d),was achieved using TEA under high doping conditions.The activation effect was poor for long-term strength after 28 days.The CaO content did not significantly affect the degree of activation achieved.The maximum effect was exerted when the content of CaO was 2%.The virtual cement and concrete testing laboratory(VCCTL)was used to simulate the hydration process,and the results revealed that the use of the three types of activators accelerated the formation of Ca(OH)_(2) in the system.The activators also corroded the surface of the fly ash particles,resulting in a pozzolanic reaction.The active substances in fly ash were released efficiently,and hydration was realized.The pores were filled with hydration products,and the microstructure changed to form a new frame of paste filling that helped improve the strength of fly ash paste. 展开更多

In order to study the characteristics of pure fly ash-based geopolymer concrete(PFGC)conveniently,we used a machine learning method that can quantify the perception of characteristics to predict its compressive strength.In this study,505 groups of data were collected,and a new database of compressive strength of PFGC was constructed.In order to establish an accurate prediction model of compressive strength,five different types of machine learning networks were used for comparative analysis.The five machine learning models all showed good compressive strength prediction performance on PFGC.Among them,R2,MSE,RMSE and MAE of decision tree model(DT)are 0.99,1.58,1.25,and 0.25,respectively.While R2,MSE,RMSE and MAE of random forest model(RF)are 0.97,5.17,2.27 and 1.38,respectively.The two models have high prediction accuracy and outstanding generalization ability.In order to enhance the interpretability of model decision-making,we used importance ranking to obtain the perception of machine learning model to 13 variables.These 13 variables include chemical composition of fly ash(SiO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3),Si/Al),the ratio of alkaline liquid to the binder,curing temperature,curing durations inside oven,fly ash dosage,fine aggregate dosage,coarse aggregate dosage,extra water dosage and sodium hydroxide dosage.Curing temperature,specimen ages and curing durations inside oven have the greatest influence on the prediction results,indicating that curing conditions have more prominent influence on the compressive strength of PFGC than ordinary Portland cement concrete.The importance of curing conditions of PFGC even exceeds that of the concrete mix proportion,due to the low reactivity of pure fly ash. 展开更多

Microwave-curing and mechanical grinding of fly ash have both beenadopted as effective methods for improving the early-age strength of alkali-activated fly ash(AAFA)binders.This study combined these two approaches by synthesizing AAFA using original,medium-fine,and ultrafine fly ash as precursors,and then specimens were cured with a five-stage temperature-controlled microwave.The compressive strength results indicate that the original AAFA develops the highest strength initially during microwave-curing,reaching 28 MPa at stage 2.Medium-fine AAFA exhibits the highest strength of 60 MPa when cured to stage 4-I,which is 26%higher than the peak strength of original AAFA.It is attributed to the significant rise in their specific surface area,which accelerates the dissolution of Si and Al from the precursor and facilitates the subsequent formation of N-A-S-H gels.Additionally,nanoscale zeolite crystals formed as secondary products fill the tiny gaps between amorphous products,thereby significantly improving their microstructure.In contrast,ultrafine fly ash,primarily composed of fragmented particles,necessitated a substantial amount of water,which adversely affects the absorption efficiency for microwave of AAFA specimens.Thus,ultrafine AAFA specimens consistently exhibit the lowest compressive strength.Specifically,at the end of curing,the compressive strength of these three specimens with microwave-curing is approximately 32%,59%,and 172%higher than that of the steam-cured sample,respectively.These findings demonstrate the compatibility of microwave-curing and fly ash refinement in enhancing the early compressive strength development of AAFA. 展开更多

The role of hydrodynamic effect in the meeting of multiple fish is a fascinating topic.The interactions of two self-propelled flexi-ble plates swimming in opposite directions horizontally and maintaining a certain lateral distance are numerically simulated using a penalty-immersed boundary method.The effects of the flapping phase and lateral distance on the propulsive performance of two fish meetings are analyzed.Results show that,when two plates meet,if their leading edges diverge laterally,the individual plate can efficiently and rapidly move apart from the other horizontally.If their leading edges converge laterally,the plate motion can be retarded,leading to high energy consumption.Moreover,an increasing lateral distance between two plates significantly weakens the fluid-structure interactions,resulting in an exponential decline in mean cruising speed.A quantitative force analysis based on vortex dynamic theory is performed to gain physics insight into the hydrodynamic interaction mechanism.It is found that lateral separation between the two leading edges enhances the vorticity generation and boundary vorticity flux on the surface of the plate,subsequently reinforcing the thrust effect and increasing horizontal velocity.This study offers insight into the hydro-dynamic mechanisms of the fluid-structure interactions among fish moving toward each other and suggests potential strategies for enhancing the maneuverability of robotic fish in complex environment. 展开更多

Municipal solid waste incineration fly ash(MSWI)is considered as one of the hazardous wastes and requires to be well disposed to reduce the contaminant to the environment.Reference to the production of coal fly ash(FA)bricks,MSWI and FA were utilized to prepare autoclaved MSWI-FA block samples.Ultrasonic-assisted hydrothermal synthesis technology was used for production to explore the effect of ultrasonic pre-treatment.Compressive strength,dry density,and water absorption tests were conducted to determine the optimal ultrasonic parameters.Ultrasonic pre-treating mechanisms were investigated by SEM,FT-IR,particle size analysis,and BET.Furthermore,the micro-analyses of block samples were conducted.The heavy metal leaching concentration was studied to assess the environmental safety.The experimental results show that the ultrasonic pre-treating time,water bath temperature,and ultrasonic power of 3 h,30℃,and 840 W are the optimal,under which the compressive strength,dry density,and water absorption were 8.14 MPa,1417.48 kg/m^(3),and 0.38,respectively.It is shown that ultrasound destroys the surface structure of raw materials and smaller FA particles embed into MSWI.The particle size distribution of pre-treated raw materials mixture is wider and total pore volume is decreased by 6.3%.During hydrothermal processing,more Al-substituted tobermorite crystals are generated,which is the main source of higher strength and smaller pore volume of prepared block samples.The solidification/stabilization rates of Cu,Pb,and Zn increased by 30.77%,4.76%,and 35.29%,respectively.This study shows a feasible way to utilize MSWI as raw material for construction. 展开更多
