In order to explore the mechanical properties of rocks under H-M coupling, the corresponding damage constitutive(D-C) model has become the focus of attention. Considering the inadequacy of the current research on rock strength parameters, energy evolution characteristics and D-C model under H-M coupling, the mechanical properties of typical sandstone samples are discussed based on laboratory tests. The results show that the variation of characteristic stresses of sandstone under H-M coupling conforms to the normalized attenuation equation and Mohr-Coulomb(M-C) criterion. The P-W pressure mechanism of sandstone exhibits a dynamic change from softening effect to H-M fracturing effect. The closure stress is mainly provided by cohesive strength, while the initiation stress, damage stress, and peak stress are jointly dominated by cohesive strength and friction strength. In addition, residual stress is attributed to the friction strength formed by the bite of the fracture surface. Subsequently, the energy evolution characteristics of sandstone under H-M coupling were studied, and it was found that P-W pressure weakened the energy storage capacity and energy dissipation capacity of sandstone, and H-M fracturing was an important factor in reducing its energy storage efficiency. Finally, combined with energy dissipation theory and statistical damage theory, two types of D-C models considering P-W pressure are proposed accordingly, and the model parameters can be determined by four methods. The application results indicate that the proposed and modified D-C models have high reliability, and can characterize the mechanical behavior of sandstone under H-M coupling, overcome the inconvenience of existing D-C models due to excessive mechanical parameters, and can be applied to the full-range stress–strain process. The results are conducive to revealing the deformation and damage mechanisms of rocks under H-M coupling, and can provide theoretical guidance for related engineering problems.展开更多

The present study constructed the 2023Cross-City Patient Mobility Network in China using one million patient mobility data records obtained from online healthcare platforms. We applied urban network analysis to uncover mobility patterns and used the coupling coordination degree model to assess healthcare supply-demand relationships before and after patient mobility. Explainable machine learning further revealed the impact of supply-demand coupling on patient mobility. The results indicated the following: Patient mobility followed administrative boundaries, although megacities serve areas beyond provincial borders; The scale of healthcare supply and demand displayed a multi-centric spatial pattern with a general decline from east to west, and these characteristics of demand distribution were further solidified by patient mobility;Cities with low supply-demand coupling and undersupply experienced patient outflows, while cities with high coupling and oversupply attracted them. In turn, patient mobility helped balance healthcare supply and demand, optimising the coupling relationship across cities. Thus, this research not only provides a methodological reference for understanding the interaction between patient mobility and healthcare systems but also offers empirical insights for public health policy.展开更多

文摘Coastal cities hold a special position in the fields of production, living, and ecological research because of their unique wetland resource advantages. However, with global urbanization and rapid economic development,con-flicts among production, living and ecological land are prevalent in coastal cities in the process of maintaining sustainable wetland resources and further developing the social economy.By establishing an SD-PLUS-CCD cou-pling model, this paper analysed the evolution characteristics and driving mechanism of the production-living-ecological space(PLES)and the effects of wetland protection(WLP)on promoting or inhibiting the coordinated development of the PLES in Dongying city during 2005-2060.The results show that(1)from 2005 to 2020,the increase in urban population resulted in a significant transfer of arable land and a reduction of 914 km2 in pro-duction space(PS);(2)from 2020 to 2060,under the WLP scenario, the conversion of wetland ecological space will reduce the PS and living space(LS)by 193.92 km2 and 107.14 km2,respectively,and increase the ecological space(ES)by 327.52 km2;and(3)wetland protection has an inhibitory effect on the coordinated development of PLES in the study area, and the total proportion of noncoordinated areas of PE and living-ecological space will continue to increase during the simulation period. This paper provides a solid theoretical support for the sustain-able management and protection of wetlands in coastal cities and possible PLES conflict patterns and provides a scientific basis for future territorial spatial planning and policy balance analysis.

文摘The numerical simulation of the fluid flow and the flexible rod(s)interaction is more complicated and has lower efficiency due to the high computational cost.In this paper,a semi-resolved model coupling the computational fluid dynamics and the flexible rod dynamics is proposed using a two-way domain expansion method. The gov-erning equations of the flexible rod dynamics are discretized and solved by the finite element method, and the fluid flow is simulated by the finite volume method. The interaction between fluids and solid rods is modeled by introducing body force terms into the momentum equations.Referred to the traditional semi-resolved numerical model,an anisotropic Gaussian kernel function method is proposed to specify the interactive forces between flu-ids and solid bodies for non-circle rod cross-sections.A benchmark of the flow passing around a single flexible plate with a rectangular cross-section is used to validate the algorithm.Focused on the engineering applications,a test case of a finite patch of cylinders is implemented to validate the accuracy and efficiency of the coupled model.

文摘Based on global initiatives such as the clean energy transition and the development of renewable energy, the pumped storage power station has become a new and significant way of energy storage and regulation, and its construction environment is more complex than that of a traditional reservoir. In particular, the stability of the rock strata in the underground reservoirs is affected by the seepage pressure and rock stress, which presents some challenges in achieving engineering safety and stability.Using the advantages of the numerical simulation method in dealing deal with nonlinear problems in engineering stability,in this study, the stability of the underground reservoir of the Shidangshan(SDS)pumped storage power station was numerically calculated and quantitatively analyzed based on fluid-structure coupling theory, providing an important reference for the safe operation and management of the underground reservoir.First, using the COMSOL software,a suitablemechanicalmodel was created in accordance with the geological structure and project characteristics of the underground reservoir.Next, the characteristics of the stress field, displacement field, and seepage field after excavation of the underground reservoir were simulated in light of the seepage effect of groundwater on the nearby rock of the underground reservoir. Finally, based on the construction specifications and Molar-Coulomb criterion,a thorough evaluation of the stability of the underground reservoir was performed through simulation of the filling and discharge conditions and anti-seepage strengthening measures. The findings demonstrate that the numerical simulation results have a certain level of reliability and are in accordance with the stress measured in the project area. The underground reservoir excavation resulted in a maximum displacement value of the rock mass around the caverns of 3.56 mm in a typical section, and the safety coefficient of the parts,as determined using the Molar-Coulomb criterion, was higher than 1,indicating that the project as a whole is in a stable state.

文摘The dynamic characteristics of a single liquid-filled pipe have been broadly studied in the previous literature. The parallel liquid-filled pipe(PLFP)system is also widely used in engineering, and its structure is more complex than that of a single pipe. However, there are few reports about the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs.Therefore, this paper proposes improved frequency modeling and solution for the PLFPs,involving the logical alignment principle and coupled matrix processing. The established model incorporates both the fluid-structure interaction(FSI)and the structural coupling of the PLFPs.The validity of the established model is verified by modal experiments. The effects of some unique parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs are discussed. This work provides a feasible method for solving the FSI of multiple pipes in parallel and potential theoretical guidance for the dynamic analysis of the PLFPs in engineering.

文摘The occurrence of top-down(TD)cracking has gradually become a prevalent issue in semi-rigid base asphalt pavements after prolonged service.A coupled simulation model integrating the finite difference method(FDM)and discrete element method(DEM)was employed to investigate the mechanical behavior of asphalt pavement containing a pre-existing TD crack. The mesoscopic parameters of the model were calibrated based on the mixture modulus and the static mechanical response on the MLS66 test road. Finally,an analysis was performed to assess how variations in TD crack depth and longitudinal length affect the distribution patterns of transverse tensile stress, vertical shear stress, and vertical compressive stress. The results indicate that the vertical propagation of TD crack significantly increases both the tensile stress value and range on the middle surface, while the longitudinal development of TD crack has minimal impact. This phenomenon may result in more severe fatigue failure on the middle surface. With the vertical and longitudinal development of TD crack, the vertical shear stress and compressive stress show obvious"two-stage"characteristics.When the crack's vertical length reaches 40 mm,there is a sharp increase in stress on the upper surface. As the crack continues to propagate vertically, the growth of stress on the upper surface becomes negligible, while the stress in the middle and lower layers increased significantly.Conversely, for longitudinal development of TD crack, any changes in stress are insignificant when their length is less than 180 mm;however,as they continue to develop longitudinally beyond this threshold, there is a sharp increase in stress levels. These findings hold great significance for understanding pavement structure deterioration and maintenance behavior associated with TD crack.

文摘This study investigates the coordination between regional economic growth and ecological sustainability within the context of high-quality town economy development. To address the challenges of balancing economic expansion with environmental protection,a comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed, encompassing two key dimensions:regional economy and ecological environment.Using panel data from 2013 to 2022,the coupling coordination degree model is employed to quantify the interactions and synergy between these dimensions.Additionally, spatial econometric methods are applied to calculate both global and local Moran’s Index, revealing spatial clustering patterns, regional disparities, and heterogeneity. The relative development model further identifies critical factors influencing regional coordination, with a focus on the lagging development of basic infrastructure and public services. The findings demonstrate a positive temporal trend toward improved regional coordination and reduced development gaps, with a spatial pattern characterized by higher coupling degrees in eastern and central regions compared to western areas.Based on these results, this study proposes actionable strategies to enhance coordinated development, emphasizing ecological conservation, the establishment of green production and consumption systems, ecological restoration, and strengthened municipal collaboration. This revised abstract emphasizes the study’s purpose, methods, and key findings more clearly while maintaining a professional and concise tone. Finally, based on the above analysis results, the corresponding coordinated development suggestions of regional economy and ecological environment are given from the aspects of ecological environment protection measures, green production and consumption system construction, ecological environment restoration and municipal coordination.

文摘Developing sensorless techniques for estimating battery expansion is essential for effective mechanical state monitoring, improving the accuracy of digital twin simulation and abnormality detection. Therefore, this paper presents a data-driven approach to expansion estimation using electromechanical coupled models with machine learning. The proposed method integrates reduced-order impedance models with data-driven mechanical models, coupling the electrochemical and mechanical states through the state of charge(SOC)and mechanical pressure within a state estimation framework. The coupling relationship was established through experimental insights into pressure-related impedance parameters and the nonlinear mechanical behavior with SOC and pressure. The data-driven model was interpreted by introducing a novel swelling coefficient defined by component stiffnesses to capture the nonlinear mechanical behavior across various mechanical constraints.Sensitivity analysis of the impedance model shows that updating model parameters with pressure can reduce the mean absolute error of simulated voltage by 20 mV and SOC estimation error by 2%.The results demonstrate the model's estimation capabilities, achieving a root mean square error of less than 1 kPa when the maximum expansion force is from 30 kPa to 120 kPa,outperforming calibrated stiffness models and other machine learning techniques. The model's robustness and generalizability are further supported by its effective handling of SOC estimation and pressure measurement errors. This work highlights the importance of the proposed framework in enhancing state estimation and fault diagnosis for lithium-ion batteries.

文摘Timely and accurate forecasting of storm surges can effectively prevent typhoon storm surges from causing large economic losses and casualties in coastal areas. At present, numerical model forecasting consumes too many resources and takes too long to compute, while neural network forecasting lacks regional data to train regional forecasting models. In this study,we used the DUAL wind model to build typhoon wind fields, and constructed a typhoon database of 75 processes in the northern South China Sea using the coupled Advanced Circulation-Simulating Waves Nearshore(ADCIRC-SWAN)model.Then,a neural network with a Res-U-Net structure was trained using the typhoon database to forecast the typhoon processes in the validation dataset, and an excellent storm surge forecasting effect was achieved in the Pearl River Estuary region. The storm surge forecasting effect of stronger typhoons was improved by adding a branch structure and transfer learning.

文摘A coupled thermal-hydro-mechanical cohesive phase-field model for hydraulic fracturing in deep coal seams is presented.Heat exchange between the cold fluid and the hot rock is considered, and the thermal contribution terms between the cold fluid and the hot rock are derived.Heat transfer obeys Fourier's law,and porosity is used to relate the thermodynamic parameters of the fracture and matrix domains. The net pressure difference between the fracture and the matrix is neglected, and thus the fluid flow is modeled by the unified fluid-governing equations. The evolution equations of porosity and Biot's coefficient during hydraulic fracturing are derived from their definitions. The effect of coal cleats is considered and modeled by Voronoi polygons, and this approach is shown to have high accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model is verified by two sets of fracturing experiments in multilayer coal seams.Subsequently, the differences in fracture morphology, fluid pressure response, and fluid pressure distribution between direct fracturing of coal seams and indirect fracturing of shale interlayers are explored, and the effects of the cluster number and cluster spacing on fracture morphology for multi-cluster fracturing are also examined. The numerical results show that the proposed model is expected to be a powerful tool for the fracturing design and optimization of deep coalbed methane.

文摘Underground engineering often passes through water-rich fractured rock masses, which are prone to fracture and instability under the long-term coupling of in-situ stress field and pore water(P-W) pressure, ultimately threatening the stability of underground structures. The results are conducive to revealing the deformation and damage mechanisms of rocks under H-M coupling, and can provide theoretical guidance for related engineering problems.

文摘We propose a suite of strategies for the parallel solution of fully implicit monolithic fluid-structure interaction(FSI).The solver is based on a modeling approach that uses the velocity and pressure as the primitive variables, which offers a bridge between computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and computational structural dynamics. The spatiotemporal discretization leverages the variational multiscale formulation and the generalized-αmethod as a means of providing a robust discrete scheme. In particular, the time integration scheme does not suffer from the overshoot phenomenon and optimally dissipates high-frequency spurious modes in both subproblems of FSI.Based on the chosen fully implicit scheme,we systematically develop a combined suite of nonlinear and linear solver strategies.Invoking a block factorization of the Jacobian matrix, the Newton-Raphson procedure is reduced to solving two smaller linear systems in the multi-corrector stage. The first is of the elliptic type, indicating that the algebraic multigrid method serves as a well-suited option. The second exhibits a two-by-two block structure that is analogous to the system arising in CFD.Inspired by prior studies, the additive Schwarz domain decomposition method and the block-factorization-based preconditioners are invoked to address the linear problem.Since the number of unknowns matches in both subdomains,it is straightforward to balance loads when parallelizing the algorithm for distributed-memory architectures. We use two representative FSI benchmarks to demonstrate the robustness, efficiency, and scalability of the overall FSI solver framework. In particular,it is found that the developed FSI solver is comparable to the CFD solver in several aspects, including fixed-size and isogranular scalability as well as robustness.

文摘Rotating machinery in the aviation industry is increasingly embracing high speeds and miniaturization, and foil dynamic pressure gas bearing has great application value due to its self-lubrication and self-adaptive deformation characteristics. This study explores the interaction mechanism between micro-scale variable-sectional shearing flow with hyper-rotation speeds and a three-layer elastic foil assembly through bidirectional aero-elastic coupling in a Multi-layer Thrust Gas Foil Bearing(MTGFB).The bearing capacity of the MTGFB varies non-linearly with the decrease of gas film clearance, while the collaborative deformation of the three-layer elastic foil assembly can deal with different load conditions. As the load capacity increases, the enhanced dynamic pressure effect causes the top foil to evolve from a single arch to multiple arches. The hydrodynamic effects in the gas film evolve to form multiple segmented wedges with different pitch ratios, while the peak pressure of the gas film always occurs near the vaults of the top foil.As the rotational speed frequency approaches the natural frequency, the resonance of the gas film and elastic foil assembly system occurs, and a phase delay occurs between the pressure pulsation and the vibration of foils. The load capacity of the MTGFB also depends on the elastic moduli of the elastic foil assembly.Increasing the elastic modulus decreases the deformation amplitude of the top foil, whereas it increases those of the backboard and middle foil, increasing the load capacity.

文摘The uneven distribution of medical resources has led to increasingly frequent patient mobility;however, the interaction between this phenomenon and the healthcare supply-demand relationship remains underexplored. Thus, this research not only provides a methodological reference for understanding the interaction between patient mobility and healthcare systems but also offers empirical insights for public health policy.

文摘Nonuniform track support and differential settlements are commonly observed in bridge approaches where the ballast layer can develop gaps at crosstie-ballast interfaces often referred to as a hanging crosstie condition.Hanging crossties usually yield unfavorable dynamic effects such as higher wheel loads, which negatively impact the serviceability and safety of railway operations.Hence,a better understanding of the mechanisms that cause hanging crossties and their effects on the ballast layer load-deformation characteristics is necessary.Since the ballast layer is a particulate medium, the discrete element method(DEM),which simulates ballast particle interactions individually,is ideal to explore the interparticle contact forces and ballast movements under dynamic wheel loading.Accurate representations of the dynamic loads from the train and track superstructure are needed for high-fidelity DEM modeling. This paper introduces an integrated modeling approach, which couples a single-crosstie DEM ballast model with a train–track–bridge(TTB)model using a proportional–integral–derivative control loop. The TTB–DEM model was validated with field measurements, and the coupled model calculates similar crosstie displacements as the TTB model. The TTB–DEM provided new insights into the ballast particle-scale behavior, which the TTB model alone cannot explore. The TTB–DEM coupling approach identified detrimental effects of hanging crossties on adjacent crossties, which were found to experience drastic vibrations and large ballast contact force concentrations.

文摘Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy,China has undergone a period of rapid development. However, this urban expansion has been accompanied by significant ecological challenges. Therefore, understanding the relationship between urban expansion and ecological sustainability is crucial for future urban planning. This study analyzes land use data to investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics of urban agglomeration expansion from 2000 to 2020.Using MODIS satellite data, this study constructs a Remote Sensing Ecological Index(RSEI)model to assess ecological quality changes over the past two decades.Additionally,an improved coupling coordination model is applied to examine the interaction between urban expansion and ecological quality and to evaluate the spatiotemporal trends of their coordination. The results indicate that:①From 2000 to 2020,urban expansion in the Henan section of the Yellow River Basin followed a pattern of“growth-growthdecline”.Pattern recognition analysis indicated that both urban agglomerations and individual cities primarily expanded through edge extension and infill development, while enclave-style expansion occurred in only a small portion of the region.②Between 2000 and 2020,the ecological quality of urban agglomerations in the Henan section of the Yellow River Basin showed a slight improvement.RSEI values ranged from 0.4 to 0.7,indicating moderate ecological quality.Ecological quality exhibited a spatial pattern of being higher in the southwest and lower in the northeast.Significant declines in ecological quality were primarily concentrated in urban built-up areas, forming a patch-like distribution.Conversely, notable improvements in ecological quality occurred mainly in the mountainous regions of the southwest and north.③Between 2000 and 2020,the coupling coordination level of urban agglomerations showed an increasing trend.Coupling coordination values ranged from 0.248 to 0.734.Most cities were near an imbalance between urban expansion and ecological quality, while Zhengzhou was the only city to consistently maintain coordinated development over two decades.Spatially, highly imbalanced areas were mainly concentrated in the western and southern Henan sections, particularly in Sanmenxia and Luoyang.Conversely, areas with high coupling coordination were centered around Zhengzhou, showing a radial expansion pattern in recent years.
