The design of a new adaptive version of the multiple dependent state(AMDS)sampling plan is presented based on the time truncated life test under the Weibull distribution.We achieved the proposed sampling plan by applying the concept of the double sampling plan and existing multiple dependent state sampling plans.A warning sign for acceptance number was proposed to increase the probability of current lot acceptance.The optimal plan parameters were determined simultaneously with nonlinear optimization problems under the producer’s risk and consumer’s risk.A simulation study was presented to support the proposed sampling plan.A comparison between the proposed and existing sampling plans,namely multiple dependent state(MDS)sampling plans and a modified multiple dependent state(MMDS)sampling plan,was considered under the average sampling number and operating characteristic curve values.In addition,the use of two real datasets demonstrated the practicality and usefulness of the proposed sampling plan.The results indicated that the proposed plan is more flexible and efficient in terms of the average sample number compared to the existing MDS and MMDS sampling plans. 展开更多

In this paper,we considered the Length-biased weighted Lomax distribution and constructed new acceptance sampling plans(ASPs)where the life test is assumed to be truncated at a pre-assigned time.For the new suggested ASPs,the tables of the minimum samples sizes needed to assert a specific mean life of the test units are obtained.In addition,the values of the corresponding operating characteristic function and the associated producer’s risks are calculated.Analyses of two real data sets are presented to investigate the applicability of the proposed acceptance sampling plans;one data set contains the first failure of 20 small electric carts,and the other data set contains the failure times of the air conditioning system of an airplane.Comparisons are made between the proposed acceptance sampling plans and some existing acceptance sampling plans considered in this study based on the minimum sample sizes.It is observed that the samples sizes based on the proposed acceptance sampling plans are less than their competitors considered in this study.The suggested acceptance sampling plans are recommended for practitioners in the field. 展开更多

This study presents the design of a modified attributed control chart based on a double sampling(DS)np chart applied in combination with generalized multiple dependent state(GMDS)sampling to monitor the mean life of the product based on the time truncated life test employing theWeibull distribution.The control chart developed supports the examination of the mean lifespan variation for a particular product in the process of manufacturing.Three control limit levels are used:the warning control limit,inner control limit,and outer control limit.Together,they enhance the capability for variation detection.A genetic algorithm can be used for optimization during the in-control process,whereby the optimal parameters can be established for the proposed control chart.The control chart performance is assessed using the average run length,while the influence of the model parameters upon the control chart solution is assessed via sensitivity analysis based on an orthogonal experimental design withmultiple linear regression.A comparative study was conducted based on the out-of-control average run length,in which the developed control chart offered greater sensitivity in the detection of process shifts while making use of smaller samples on average than is the case for existing control charts.Finally,to exhibit the utility of the developed control chart,this paper presents its application using simulated data with parameters drawn from the real set of data. 展开更多

In this paper, an inner turret moored FPSO which works in the water of 320 m depth, is selected to study the socalled "passively-truncated + numerical-simulation" type of hybrid model testing technique while the tnmcated water depth is 160 m and the model scale ), = 80. During the investigation, the optimization design of the equivalent-depth truncated system is performed by using the similarity of the static characteristics between the truncated system and the full depth one as the objective function. According to the truncated system, the corresponding physical test model is made. By adopting the coupling time domain simulation method, the tnmcated system model test is numerically reconstructed to carefully verify the computer simulation software and to adjust the corresponding hydrodynamic parameters. Based on the above work, the numerical extrapolation to the full depth system is performed by using the verified computer software and the adjusted hydrodyrmmic parameters. The full depth system model test is then performed in the basin and the results are compared with those from the numerical extrapolation. At last, the implementation procedure and the key technique of the hybrid model testing of the deep-sea platforms are summarized and printed. Through the above investigations, some beneficial conclusions are presented. 展开更多

The highest similarity degree of static characteristics including both horizontal and vertical restoring force-displacement characteristics of total mooring system, as well as the tension-displacement characteristics of the representative single mooring line between the truncated and full depth system are obtained by annealing simulation algorithm for hybrid discrete variables (ASFHDV, in short). A“baton” optimization approach is proposed by utilizing ASFHDV. After each baton of optimization, if a few dimensional variables reach the upper or lower limit, the boundary of certain dimensional variables shall be expanded. In consideration of the experimental requirements, the length of the upper mooring line should not be smaller than 8 m, and the diameter of the anchor chain on the bottom should be larger than 0.03 m. A 100000 t turret mooring FPSO in the water depth of 304 m, with the truncated water depth being 76 m, is taken as an example of equivalent water depth truncated mooring system optimal design and calculation, and is performed to obtain the conformation parameters of the truncated mooring system. The numerical results indicate that the present truncated mooring system design is successful and effective. 展开更多

The maximum predicting error of the commonly used passive truncated mooring system method may reach 30%due to the difference of dynamic characteristics between the truncated and full-depth mooring line.In this paper,the experimental strategy called three-parameter(displacement,velocity and acceleration)active control method at the truncated point of mooring line is established to implement the synchronous equivalent of motion and force,and the realization of active truncated mooring system for model test is studied theoretically.The influences of threeparameter and one-parameter(displacement)active control strategies on the compensation effects are compared by numerical study.The results show that the established three-parameter active control method can feasibly realize the static and dynamic equivalent of truncated and full-depth mooring system,laying a good foundation for the following physical model test of active truncated mooring system. 展开更多

At present,equivalent water depth truncated mooring system optimization design is regarded as the priority of hybrid model testing for deep sea platforms,and will replace the full depth system test in the future.Compared with the full depth system,the working depth and span are smaller in the truncated one,and the other characteristics maintain more consistency as well.In this paper,an inner turret moored floating production storage & offloading system(FPSO) which works at a water depth of 320m,was selected to be a research example while the truncated water depth was 80m.Furthermore,an improved non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm(INSGA-II) was selected to optimally calculate the equivalent water depth truncated system,considering the stress condition of the total mooring system in both the horizontal and vertical directions,as well as the static characteristic similarity of the representative single mooring line.The results of numerical calculations indicate that the mathematical model is feasible,and the optimization method is fast and effective. 展开更多

Software reliability modeling and prediction are important issues during software development, especially when one has to reach a desired reliability prior to software release. Various techniques, both static and dynamic, are used for reliability modeling and prediction in the context of software risk management. The single-phase Rayleigh model is a dynamic reliability model;however, it is not suitable for software release date prediction. We propose a new multi-phase truncated Rayleigh model and obtain parameter estimation using the nonlinear least squares method. The proposed model has been successfully tested in a large software company for several software projects. It is shown that the two-phase truncated Rayleigh model outperforms the traditional single-phase Rayleigh model in modeling weekly software defect arrival data. The model is useful for project management in planning release times and defect management. 展开更多

An S-lay crane barge,named CNOOC 201,has been built for pipe laying in deepwater oil/gas fields in the South China Sea.It is due to be commissioned by the end of the year 2010.A special lifting system is developed to meet the challenge that installing deepwater risers from an S-lay barge is difficult and has not been achieved.The purpose of this paper was to investigate the model test on such an innovative system,which has to be done before field application.By applying the similarity theory,the movement of the S-lay barge is simulated through a six degrees-of-freedom motion platform,and a truncated model riser is utilized for the model testing.The displacement and force boundary conditions at the truncated position of the riser are obtained from the catenary governing equation and become realized by a slideway cart and a loading system designed to control the configuration of the model riser,which presents a similar configuration to a real riser in deepwater.The test results are in very good agreement with theoretical calculations,showing that the active truncated test is applicable for controlling the configuration of the deepwater riser in model testing investigation. 展开更多

核电仪控卡件运行平均故障间隔时间(MTBF)评估对故障根本原因分析、电厂维修老化管理和智能运维技术研究有重要意义。然而,现阶段由于核电行业缺乏统一的技术标准,实际工程应用中主要采用简单求平均来计算运行MTBF,此算法不考虑责任故... 核电仪控卡件运行平均故障间隔时间(MTBF)评估对故障根本原因分析、电厂维修老化管理和智能运维技术研究有重要意义。然而,现阶段由于核电行业缺乏统一的技术标准,实际工程应用中主要采用简单求平均来计算运行MTBF,此算法不考虑责任故障定义、失效分布拟合情况,也无法给出更有指导意义的区间估计。为优化当前算法,本研究提出了一种基于多失效分布拟合优度检验的核电仪控卡件运行MTBF评估方法,首先给出需要纳入评估范围的责任故障定义准则,并依据此准则进行故障筛选与统计;其次建立了针对定时截尾数据的4种失效分布参数估计似然方程,并应用皮尔逊检验和贝叶斯信息准则(BIC),开展拟合优度检验与最优分布选择,在此基础上计算出一定置信度下仪控卡件的运行MTBF。使用此方法对某核电机组商运状态下的继电器输出板卡进行了研究实践,应用结果表明,此方法得到的继电器输出卡件运行MTBF评估结果,包含点估计与区间估计结果,综合考虑了失效分布、数据样本特征和信息损失量的贡献,要比现阶段常规作法更合理、结果更准确。因此,本研究建立的核电仪控卡件运行MTBF评估方法能够应用于工程化的核电仪控卡件故障分析。 展开更多

Maximum Full Likelihood Approach to Randomly Truncated Data

Truncated data are commonly observed in economics,epidemiology,and other fields.The analysis of truncated data is challenging because the observed data are usually a biased sample of the target population due to truncation.Existing methods of handling truncated data largely depend on conditional likelihood which is the joint distribution of the data given that they are observed,and may be unreliable or have potential efficiency loss.In this paper,the authors develop a maximum full likelihood inference method for truncated data under a parametric model for the conditional distribution of the target variable given covatiates.The distribution of the truncation variable is left unspecified.The authors establish the asymptotic normalities of the maximum likelihood estimators(MLE)for various parameters,and the likelihood ratio statistics have central chisquare limiting distributions.As a by-product,the proposed method provides a natural MLE for the total number of the observed and unobserved data,which may shed light on the extent of truncation bias.A score test is provided to check the correctness of the assumed parametric model.Our simulation results indicate that the proposed estimation method generally produces more reliable point and interval estimates.For illustration,the authors apply the proposed approaches to analyze a breast cancer data in the Rotterdam Tumor Bank. 展开更多

利用在104 mm固定间隙、250/2000μs操作冲击波和稳定气象条件下,对0.3、1.5、4、9.6 mm四种尖端曲率半径不锈钢接闪杆进行50次负极性冲击的试验数据,采用板-棒放电试验模拟自然闪电接闪过程研究方法,对接闪杆尖端曲率半径大小对闪电接... 利用在104 mm固定间隙、250/2000μs操作冲击波和稳定气象条件下,对0.3、1.5、4、9.6 mm四种尖端曲率半径不锈钢接闪杆进行50次负极性冲击的试验数据,采用板-棒放电试验模拟自然闪电接闪过程研究方法,对接闪杆尖端曲率半径大小对闪电接闪影响进行了分析。结果表明:尖端曲率半径对接闪电压无显著影响(465.3—467.0 kV,事件概率p>0.05);接闪概率随半径减小单调升高,0.3 mm样品达76%,较9.6 mm提升了32%,“尖端曲率半径-接闪概率(r-P)”的拟合式为P=89.1-4.7 r,决定系数R^(2)=0.96。0.3 mm样品因电晕屏蔽效应截断时间延长至270.9μs,但未降低最终击穿概率。研究首次定量给出“半径-概率”工程曲线,为防雷接闪杆优化设计提供直接依据。 展开更多

履带车辆转向性能试验研究是分析履带车辆转向特性,验证履带车辆转向理论的重要技术手段。针对当前缺乏准确、高效的履带车辆转向性能试验方法与测试手段的研究现状,根据履带车辆转向运动学、动力学参数之间的相互关系,系统全面分析各... 履带车辆转向性能试验研究是分析履带车辆转向特性,验证履带车辆转向理论的重要技术手段。针对当前缺乏准确、高效的履带车辆转向性能试验方法与测试手段的研究现状,根据履带车辆转向运动学、动力学参数之间的相互关系,系统全面分析各转向性能参数的测试及获取方法。在此基础上,提出采用基于GPS原理的转向性能测试系统测量转向轨迹的方法获得履带车辆的实际转向半径,并结合NI测试系统、存储式转速、转矩仪等装置,实现了多个转向半径下,履带车辆转向运动学、动力学参数的不间断测试,显著提高了转向性能参数的测试效率及精度。对试验仪器设备使用、试验数据处理过程进行详细论述,重点解决了多套试验装置所采集数据的截断与同步的关键问题。进行试验结果的分析及与理论模型计算结果的对比研究。为开展履带车辆的转向性能试验测试及转向理论模型验证提供了重要的技术方法。 展开更多
