The perturbation term, first-order correlation energy, and first-order wave function are divided into two components, one component associated with the repulsive coulomb interaction and the other proportional to magnetic shielding. The resulting first-order wave functions are applied to calculate second-order energies within the model. We find that the second-order energies are independent of the nuclear charge screening constant in the unperturbed Hamiltonian with a central coulomb potential.展开更多

The proposed model starts from the assumption that the vibration characteristics of the stator is not affected by the contact process. A modified friction models was used to analyze the contact problems. Firstly, the dynamic normal contact force, interface friction force, and steady-state characteristics were analyzed. Secondly, the influences of the contact layer material, the dynamic characteristics of the stator, and the pre-load on motor performance were simulated. Finally, to validate the contact model, a linear ultrasonic motor based on in-plane modes was used as an example. The corresponding results show that a set of simulation of motor performances based on the proposed contact mechanism is in good agreement with experimental results. This model is helpful to understanding the operation principle of the standing wave linear motor and thus contributes to the design of these types of motor.展开更多

Efficient and accurate estimation of their hydroelastic responses to waves is very important for the design. Recently, an efficient numerical algorithm was developed by Ertekin and Kim (1999). However, in their analysis, the linear Level I Green-Naghdi (GN) theory is employed to describe fluid dynamics instead of the conventional linear wave (LW) theory of finite water depth. They claimed that this linear level I GN theory provided better predictions of the hydroelastic responses of VLFS than the linear wave theory. In this paper, a detailed derivation is given in the conventional linear wave theory framework with the same quantity as used in the linear level I GN theory framework. This allows a critical comparison between the linear wave theory and the linear level I GN theory. It is found that the linear level I GN theory can be regarded as an approximation to the linear wave theory of finite water depth. The consequences of the differences between these two theories in the predicted hydroelastic responses are studied quantitatively. And it is found that the linear level I GN theory is not superior to the linear wave theory. Finally, various factors affecting the hydroelastic response of VLFS are studied with the implemented algorithm.展开更多

We show the existence of an absolute band gap of the perfect phononic crystal and linear defect modes inside the gap caused by localization of flexural waves at or near the defects. The gravity-capillary waves(GCWs) are influenced by a linear shear flow(LSF) which consists of a uniform flow and a shear flow with constant vorticity. The modulational instability(MI) of GCWs with the LSF is analyzed using the NLSE. The MI is effectively modified by the LSF. In infinite depth, there are four asymptotes which are the boundaries between MI and modulational stability(MS) in the instability diagram. In addition, the dimensionless free surface elevation as a function of time for different dimensionless water depth, surface tension, uniform flow and vorticity is exhibited. It is found that the decay of free surface elevation and the steepness of free surface amplitude change over time, which are greatly affected by the water depth, surface tension, uniform flow and vorticity.展开更多

The wave energy conversion system was installed in the Yellow Sea near Lianyungang, China. The ocean test re- suits indicate that it had dynamic and static performance, and obtained an expected amount of electricity. The calcu- lation result indicates the average output power was about 1 000 W, and the conversion efficiency from wave en- ergy into electricity was 1.4%. In addition, the wireless data communication, mechanics and oceanography were also discussed.
文摘In this paper, the linear ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients are obtained from thecontrolling equations satisfied by wavelet transform or atmospheric internal gravity waves, and these linear equationscan be further transformed into Weber equations. From Weber equations, the homoclinic orbit solutions can be derived,so the solitary wave solutions to linear equations with variable coefficients are obtained.

文摘Considering that the fluid is inviscid and incompressible and the flow is irrotational in a fixed frame of reference and using the multiple scale analysis method, we derive a nonlinear Schrodinger equation(NLSE) describing the evolution dynamics of gravity-capillary wavetrains in arbitrary constant depth. It is found that the decay of free surface elevation and the steepness of free surface amplitude change over time, which are greatly affected by the water depth, surface tension, uniform flow and vorticity.

文摘Numerical simulations on focused wave propagation are carried out by using three types of numerical models, including the linear potential flow, the nonlinear potential flow and the viscous fluid flow models. The wave-wave interaction of the focused wave group with different frequency bands and input wave amplitudes is examined,by which the influence of free surface nonlinearity and fluid viscosity on the related phenomenon of focused wave is investigated. The significant influence of free surface nonlinearity on the characteristics of focused wave can be observed, including the increased focused wave crest, delayed focused time and downstream shift of focused position with the increase of input amplitude. It can plot the evident difference between the results of the nonlinear potential flow and linear potential flow models. However, only a little discrepancy between the nonlinear potential flow and viscous fluid flow models can be observed, implying the insignificant effect of fluid viscosity on focused wave behavior. Therefore, the nonlinear potential flow model is recommended for simulating the non-breaking focused wave problem in this study.
