Our empirical analysis utilized personal interviews, archive documents, and statistical data. Four main processes were discerned： transition from integration to alienation between institutions of higher learning and the larger political and ideological context; a shift from Hebrew University Institute of Communication＇s institutional monopoly to a multiplicity of increasingly competitive communication schools/departments; transition from intellectual hegemony to limited intellectual diversity; and gradually improving status for the communication field among social science disciplines. Our case-study analysis validated the interactive relationship among the model＇s conceptual dimensions, calling for future cross-national comparisons.展开更多

At present, college students' career development has become an important task to improve living conditions, stabilize society and realize economic modernization. As an important part of serving and promoting students' employment, students' professional development and the establishment of a professional guidance discipline system are not only helpful to improve students' comprehensive quality and professional skills, but also play an important role in the information exchange between social development needs and students' development. The establishment of the subject system of students' career development and career guidance is not a simple course setup. It can be said to be an arduous task to integrate students' expectations, university talent development goals, social needs and national development prospects. The“One Zone,Two Lands,One Park,and One Corridor”development strategy implemented in Guangxi,as a key component of China’s regional strategic deployment,provides opportunities and challenges for the development of ...The“One Zone,Two Lands,One Park,and One Corridor”development strategy implemented in Guangxi,as a key component of China’s regional strategic deployment,provides opportunities and challenges for the development of local higher education.By comparing the strategic requirements,this paper uses the SWOT analysis method to conduct an in-depth analysis of the current status of higher education in Guangxi.The analysis results show that Guangxi’s higher education has certain advantages in geographical location but lacks educational resources.At the same time,the region’s higher education faces opportunities such as policy support and local industrial transformation and upgrading,but it also faces risks such as fierce external competition,mismatches between talent supply and demand,and financial constraints.Aiming at the above problems,this paper further proposes the Opportunity Capture Strategy,Adversity Breakthrough Strategy,Advantage Defense Strategy,and Disadvantage Resolution Strategy,aiming to solve the problems faced by regional higher education in serving the transformation of local development strategies.展开更多
