The implementation on how to apply this technique in FEM based on magnetic vector potential (MVP) is also introduced. Finally, a numerical example of 3-D magnetostatic modeling using the TRL solver and FEMLAB is given. It shows that a huge computer resource can be saved by employing the new solver.展开更多

The physical one exists in reality, while the numerical one is fictitious. This paper presents the effects of both fractures and proposes a simple adding particle technique to avoid the numerical fracture. The real physical fracture is then figured out by using an applicable fracture criterion. Firstly, the effect of the numerical fracture on the computational accuracy is investigated by introducing the artificial fracture in a model of wave propagation. Secondly, a simple adding particle technique is proposed and validated by a three dimensional bending test. Finally, the experiments of penetration on the skin of aircrafts are simulated by both the initial SPH method and the improved method with the adding particle technique. The results show that the improved SPH method can describe the physical fracture very well with better accuracy.展开更多

The technique described in this work is suitable for modeling initial-boundary value problems governed by the wave equation on a rectangular domain with Dirichlet boundary conditions and an initial condition that is equal on the boundary to the boundary conditions. The new numerical scheme is based on the standard approach of decomposing the global initial-boundary value problem into a steady-state component and a time-dependent component. The steady-state component is governed by the Laplace PDE and is modeled with the CVBEM. The time-dependent component is governed by the wave PDE and is modeled using a generalized Fourier series. The approximate global solution is the sum of the CVBEM and generalized Fourier series approximations. The boundary conditions of the steady-state component are specified as the boundary conditions from the global BVP. The boundary conditions of the time-dependent component are specified to be identically zero. The initial condition of the time-dependent component is calculated as the difference between the global initial condition and the CVBEM approximation of the steady-state solution. Additionally, the generalized Fourier series approximation of the time-dependent component is fitted so as to approximately satisfy the derivative of the initial condition. It is shown that the strong formulation of the wave PDE is satisfied by the superposed approximate solutions of the time-dependent and steady-state components.展开更多

Bottom hole pressure response curves and the pressure field are obtained by solving the model equations with the finite-element method. By analyzing bottom hole pressure curves and the fluid flow in the pressure field, seven flow stages can be recognized on the curves. An upscaling method is developed to compare with the dual-porosity model (DPM). The comparisons results show that the DPM overestimates the inter-porosity coefficient ), and the storage factor w. The analysis results show that fracture conductivity plays a leading role in the fluid flow. Matrix permeability influences the beginning time of flow from the matrix to fractures. Fractures density is another important parameter controlling the flow. The fracture linear flow is hidden under the large fracture density. The pressure propagation is slower in the direction of larger fracture density.展开更多

The TAIJI GW mission and the new LISA GW mission propose using an arm length of 3 Gm(1 Gm = 10~6 km) and an arm length of 2.5 Gm respectively. For a space laser-interferometric GW antenna, due to astrodynamical orbit variation, time delay interferometry(TDI) is needed to achieve nearly equivalent equal-arms for suppressing the laser frequency noise below the level of optical path noise, acceleration noise, etc in order to attain the requisite sensitivity. In this paper, we simulate TDI numerically for the TAIJI mission and the new LISA mission. To do this, we work out a set of 2200-day(6-year) optimized science orbits for each mission starting on 2028 March 22 using the CGC 2.7.1 ephemeris framework. Then we use the numerical method to calculate the residual optical path differences of the first-generation TDI configurations and the selected second-generation TDI configurations. The resulting optical path differences of the second-generation TDI configurations calculated for TAIJI, new LISA and eLISA are well below their respective requirements for laser frequency noise cancelation. However, for the first-generation TDI configurations, the original requirements need to be relaxed by 3 to 30 fold to be satisfied. For TAIJI and the new LISA, about one order of magnitude relaxation would be good and recommended; this could be borne on the laser stability requirement in view of recent progress in laser stability, or the GW detection sensitivities of the second-generation TDIs have to be used in the diagnosis of the observed data instead of the commonly used X, Y and Z TDIs.展开更多

This work proposes a novel stellar spectrum denoising method based on deep Bayesian modeling. The construction of our model includes a prior distribution for each stellar subclass, a spectrum generator and a flow-based noise model. Our method takes into account the noise correlation structure, and it is not susceptible to strong sky emission lines and cosmic rays. Moreover, it is able to naturally handle spectra with missing flux values without ad-hoc imputation. The proposed method is evaluated on real stellar spectra from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS) with a comprehensive list of common stellar subclasses and compared to the standard denoising auto-encoder. Our denoising method demonstrates a superior performance to the standard denoising auto-encoder, in respect of denoising quality and missing flux imputation. It may be potentially helpful in improving the accuracy of the classification and physical parameter measurement of stars when applying our method during data preprocessing.展开更多

The observed data reduction as well as the image reconstruction for HXMT can be achieved by using the direct demodulation method (DDM). However the original DDM is too computationally expensive for multi-dimensional data with high resolution to be employed for HXMT data. We propose an accelerated direct demodulation method especially adapted for data from HXMT. Simulations are also presented to demonstrate this method.展开更多

The regularity of the coupling variational formulation and the convergence of the approximate solution corresponding to the algorithm are proved. If the fine mesh h is chosen as coarse mesh H-square, the nonlinear Galerkin method, nonlinearity is only treated on the coarse grid and linearity is treated on the fine grid. Hence, the new algorithm can save a large amount of computational time.展开更多

It is seen that the RK-embedded root mean square outperforms the RK-embedded Heronian mean and RK-embedded harmonic mean.

文摘Spectrum denoising is an important procedure for large-scale spectroscopical surveys. It may be potentially helpful in improving the accuracy of the classification and physical parameter measurement of stars when applying our method during data preprocessing.

文摘The hard X-ray modulation telescope (HXMT) mission is mainly devoted to performing an all-sky survey at 1- 250 keV with both high sensitivity and high spatial resolution. Simulations are also presented to demonstrate this method.
文摘A new algorithm combining nonlinear Galerkin method and coupling method of finite element and boundary element is introduced to solve the exterior nonstationary Navier-Stokes equations. Hence, the new algorithm can save a large amount of computational time.
文摘In this paper TVD explicit schemes developed recently in CFD are used to simulate five models of bores due to dam-break. Numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate that they achieve high resolution and generate no spurious oscillations and to show the versatility of the schemes.
文摘The perturbation method and finite strip method are combined to solve the large deflection bending problems of rectangular plates. Perturbation method is used to reduce the nonlinear differential equations into a series of linear differential equations. The finite strip method is then employed to tackle these linear equations. Some calculation examples are compared with those got by other methods.
