A state space aproach for modeling nonstationary time series is employed in analysing gyro transient process. Based on the concept of smoothness priors constraint, the overall model is using the Kalman filter and Akaike's AIC criterion.Some numerical results of gyro drift models are obtained for analysis of gyro system. As the trend and irregular components of the observed time series can be modeled simultaneously, it is statistically more accurate and efficient than that modeled separately. 展开更多

The problem of the robust fault detection filter design for time-varying delays switched systems is considered in the framework of mixed H-/H∞. Firstly, the weighted H∞ performance index is utilized as the robustness performance, and the H- index is used as the sensitivity performance for obtaining the robust fault detection filter. Then a novel multiple Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is proposed for deriving sufficient existence conditions of the robust fault detection filter based on the average dwell time technique. By introducing slack matrix variable, the coupling between the Lyapunov matrix and system matrix is removed, and the conservatism of results is reduced. Based on the robust fault detection filter, residual is generated and evaluated for detecting faults. In addition, the results of this paper are dependent on time delays,and represented in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Finally,the simulation example verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Considering that contaminated raw water mostly contains high Ammonia-N and a majority of water treatment plants use prechlorination process in China, efficiency of chloramines as a coagulant aid in enhancing coagulation was investigated by Jar stirring and pilot-scale tests, using Yellow River water containing high concentration of natural organic matters (NOM) and bromide in winter. The jar tests results showed that, compared with no preoxidation, preformed chloramine apparently decreased the turbidity of settled and filtered water with low dosage (2.0 rag/L), and the aid-coagulation efficiency was further enhanced with the increase of chlorine (Cl2) to Ammonia-N (N) ratio. Pilot-scale studies indicated that, in comparison to the case without preoxidation, the turbidity removal efficiency of flotation and filtration effluent water was significantly improved, the particle counts of filtered water were decreased 63.4%, the average rate of filter head loss was reduced 18.2%, and filter run time was prolonged 15.7%. Therefore, chloramine preoxidation may substantially enhance the particle separation efficiency. 展开更多

The randomly intermittent spectra (RIS) signal is employed to combat spectrum congestion in radar and other radio services to evade the external interferences in high-frequency (HF) and ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) bands. However, the spectra discontinuity of the signal gets rise to high range sidelobes when matching the reflected echo, which is much more difficult for targets detection. So it is indispensable to investigate the technique for sidelobes suppression of the range profile when RIS signal is utilized, This paper introduced a new processing technique based on time domain filtering to lower the range sidelobes. A robust and effetive algorithm is adopted to solve the coefficients of the filter, and the restriction on the desired response of the filter is derived. The simulation results show that the peak range sidelobe can be reduced to -27 dB from -9.5 dB while the frequency band span (FBS) is 200 kHz. 展开更多

The time delay estimation (TDE) of two different received signals from the same source has attracted many interests of researchers in the field of signal processing. A method described for precisely estimating time delay in this paper is based on the assumption that little priori knowledge on statistical characteristics is available for the received signals. The variance of the estimate is derived . The basic architecture of this method is to use the adaptive noise canceller, in the steady state , and to interpolate the weight coefficients by using a generalized quadratic interpolation matrix. The formula of the time delay estimation is presented . The method proposed by F.A. Reed is a special case of this method . The hardware implementation is much easier than that of the conventional time delay estimation method . The results of the system simulation and the experimental results at sea show a good agreement with the theoretical analysis. 展开更多

Mixed-integrator-based bi-quad cell for designing a continuous time filter

A new mixed-integrator-based bi-quad cell is proposed. An alternative synthesis mechanism of complex poles is proposed compared with source-follower-based bi-quad cells which is designed applying the positive feedback technique. Using the negative feedback technique to combine different integrators, the proposed bi-quad cell synthesizes complex poles for designing a continuous time filter. It exhibits various advantages including compact topology, high gain, no parasitic pole, no CMFB circuit, and high capability. The fourth-order Butterworth lowpass filter using the proposed cells has been fabricated in 0.18μm CMOS technology. The active area occupied by the filter with test buffer is only 200 × 170 μm^2. The proposed filter consumes a low power of 201 μW and achieves a 68.5 dB dynamic range. 展开更多

This report presents a series of implicit-explicit(IMEX)variable stepsize algorithms for natural convection equations.The presented method requires a minimally intrusive modification to an existing program,does not add to the computational complexity,and is conceptually simple.Here,IMEX means the nonlinear term is treated fully explicitly,while the remaining terms are treated implicitly.Due to the increasing demand for low memory solvers,the addition of time adaptive can improve the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithms.For the first-order algorithm,we prove the stability of the variable stepsize backward Euler scheme combined with Adams-Bashforth 2(VSS BE-AB2)and analyze convergence.Then,the stability of Constant Timestep Filtered-BE-AB2(BE-AB2+F)is proved.Moreover,we construct adaptive algorithms by extending the approach to variable stepsize.Finally,numerical tests confirm the convergence rates of our method and validate the theoretical results. 展开更多
