Due to the complexity of the structures, their modeling and simulation needs to be solved in three-dimensional (3D) CAD developments. In this paper, 3D loop geometrical models of weft knitted fancy structures, including tuck stitch, jacquard stitch, transfer stitch and fleecy stitch, were developed based on an improved model of plain loop, and their central axes as some 3D space curves were achieved by using Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS). The 3D visual simulation programme was written in C++ programming language using OpenGL, which was a function library of 3D graphics. Some examples of weft knitted fancy fabrics were generated and practical application of 3D simulation was discussed.展开更多

The investigated complex structure fancy yams have a multithread structure composed of three components core, effect, and binder yams. In current research the precondition was accepted that the cross-sections of the both two yams of the effect intermediate product in the complex structure fancy yam remain the circles shaped, and this shape does not change during manufacturing of the fancy yam. Mathematical model of complex structure fancy yarn is established based on parameter equation of space helix line and computer simulative is further carried out using the computational mathematical tool Matlab 6.5. Theoretical structure of fancy yam is compared with an experimental sample. The simulative system would help for further the set of informative in designing of new assortment of the complex structure fancy yarns and prediction of visual effects of fancy yams in end-use fabrics.展开更多

The research shows that the university teachers highly recognize the fancy rope skipping curriculum; construction of teaching resources should be strengthened; cultivation of the professional teaching staffs should be strengthened; in terms of teaching materials, more premium teaching materials with high pertinence and professionalism are needed; the promotion and implementation of the curriculum system of fancy rope skipping should be boosted in different steps and stages; cultivation of the professional teachers should be enlarged; related scientific research of the curriculum system of fancy rope skipping should be strengthened.展开更多

This article provides an overview of the laboratory-grown diamonds seen at GIA over the last 15 years.During that time,the diamond industry has witnessed an exponential increase in the quantity and quality of laborato...This article provides an overview of the laboratory-grown diamonds seen at GIA over the last 15 years.During that time,the diamond industry has witnessed an exponential increase in the quantity and quality of laboratory-grown diamonds and,therefore,these products’ability to be commercialized on a large scale.It presents a brief summary of the HPHT and CVD growth processes and then explores some of the major trends observed since GIA began providing synthetic diamond grading reports in 2007.These trends include the shift towards larger and colorless stones.It also shows a shift towards CVD diamonds dominating the supply of laboratory-grown diamonds submitted for grading reports and that the majority of these have been subjected to post-growth HPHT treatment.In addition,we briefly discuss some methods and strategies used for identification such as the distinguishing gemological characteristics and some recent approaches in advanced testing.Finally,we present an array of laboratory-grown diamonds that are currently unusual,however,these may become more common in the future.展开更多

Objective Premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)is defined as the depletion of ovarian function before 40years of age,affecting approximately 3.7%of women in their reproductive age worldwide.Previous studies revealed se...Objective Premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)is defined as the depletion of ovarian function before 40years of age,affecting approximately 3.7%of women in their reproductive age worldwide.Previous studies revealed several genes involved in the Fanconi anaemia(FA)pathway participate in the pathogenesis of POI,such as FANCA and FANCM.FA pathway maintains rapid proliferation in the developing primordial germ cells by deregulating transcription-replication conflicts,which is crucial for the establishment of sufficient ovarian reserve.FANCJ encodes a DNA helicase located downstream of the FA pathway promoting DNA damage repair and cell proliferation.Recently,two heterozygous FANCJ missense variants have been reported in patients with POI,suggesting haploinsufficiency of FANCJ participates in the pathogenesis of the disease.In this study,to further explore the contribution of FANCJ variants in POI,we reported a rare homozygous FANCJ start-loss variation in one patient with POI and illustrated its pathogenicity by in vitro functional studies.Methods The loss-of-function(LoF)variants of FANCJ were screened in our internal whole-exome sequencing(WES)database of POI.Sanger sequencing and WES analysis were employed on the proband and the patient’s family members to illustrate the origin of the bi-allelic variant.Cycloheximide chase assay was performed to demonstrate the impact of the variant on the protein stability of FANCJ.Protein ubiquitination assay was performed to confirm the accelerated degradation pathway of FANCJ protein.ResultsThrough the variation screening,a bi-allelic variant of FANCJ(NM_032043.3:c.1A>G,p.Met1Val)was identified in one case.The functional study showed that the start-loss variant affected FANCJ protein stability by accelerated protein degradation through the ubiquitinproteasome pathway.Conclusion Our findings provide further genetic evidence of the FANCJ variant participating in the pathogenesis of POI,expand the inherited mode and highlight the essential role of the FA pathway in maintaining ovarian function.展开更多
