We perform the manifestly covariant quantization of f(R)gravity in the de Donder gauge condition(or harmonic gauge condition)for general coordinate invariance. We explicitly calculate various equal-time commutation relations(ETCRs),in particular the ETCR between the metric and its time derivative, and show that it has a nonvanishing and nontrivial expression, whose situation should be contrasted to the previous result in higher-derivative or quadratic gravity where the ETCR was found to be identically vanishing. We also clarify global symmetries, the physical content of f(R)gravity, and clearly show that this theory is manifestly unitary and has a massive scalar and massless graviton as physical modes. 展开更多

This study explores asymptotically flat wormhole solutions within the framework of f(R,T)gravity. We analyze f(R,T)expressed as f(R,T)=R+λT+λ_(1)T^(2).A linear equation of state(EoS)is employed for both radial and lateral pressures, resulting in a power-law shape function. The investigation encompasses solutions characterized by both negative and positive energy densities. It has been determined that solutions with positive energy density comply with all energy conditions, specifically the null, weak, strong, and dominant energy conditions.Additionally,we identify constraints on the parametersλ,λ_(1),and the parameters associated with the EoS and shape function. 展开更多

We have examined an isotropic and homogeneous cosmological model in f(R,T^(φ))gravity, where R represents the Ricci scalar and T^(φ)exhibits the energy momentum tensor's trace. We examine the stability criteria by performing the dynamical system analysis for our model f(R,T^(φ))=R+2(a T^(φ)+b),where a and b are the constants. We derive a set of autonomous equations and find their solutions by assuming a flat potential V0.We assess the equilibrium points from these equations and find the eigenvalues. We analyze the physical interpretation of the phase space for this system. We obtain three stable equilibrium points. We also examine the interaction between the scalar field and dark energy, represented by Q=ψH_(ρde)and determine the equilibrium points for this interaction. We identify four stable equilibrium points for this interaction. We calculate the values of the physical parameters for both scenarios at each equilibrium point, indicating the Universe's accelerated expansion. 展开更多

This paper aims to develop non-interacting ghost dark energy and generalized ghost dark energy models within the framework of f(Q)theory using the correspondence scheme. We use pressureless matter and a power-law scale factor. The cosmic implications of the resulting models are studied through the equation of state parameter and the phase planes. We also check the stability of the reconstructed models through the squared speed of sound parameter. The equation of state parameter exhibits a phantom era,the(ωD-ω'D)-plane indicates a freezing region, while the(r-s)-plane corresponds to the Chaplygin gas model for both models. It is also found that only the generalized ghost dark energy model remains stable throughout cosmic evolution. We conclude that our findings align well with current observational data. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of dynamic instability of hard-brittle jointed rock surrounding in deep tunnel/roadway engineering, combining with the support concepts of"coupling rigidity with flexibility"and"overcoming rigidity by flexibility",the prevention and control method with"rigid-flexible coupling(R-F-C)"was put forward.Through numerical simulation calculation, the impact damage process, acoustic emission(AE)evolution characteristics, and element stress/displacement evolution characteristics of unsupported surrounding rock structure model, rigid supporting surrounding rock structure model,and"R-F-C"supporting surrounding rock structure model under horizontal bidirectional impact loading were compared and analyzed.Based on the theory of stress wave propagation, the dynamic instability catastrophe mechanism of three kinds of supporting structure models induced by horizontal bidirectional impact loading was revealed.Based on the Mohr-Coulomb strength theory, the stress discrimination methods of dynamic catastrophe of surrounding rock induced by horizontal bidirectional impact loading under three kinds of supporting structures were proposed.Combined with the above numerical simulation study, the explosion impact physical and mechanical test of"R-F-C"surrounding rock supporting plate structure was further designed and carried out. Finally, combined with the"conceptual model of ball-cliff potential energy instability",the energy driving theory and energy transformation mechanism of impact-induced rockburst under three kinds of supporting structures were discussed deeply. The research results provided a scientific basis for further promoting the effective application of"R-F-C"supporting structure in the prevention and control of dynamic instability of deep tunnel/roadway surrounding rock. 展开更多

In this article,we use the prominent Karmarkar condition to investigate some novel features of astronomical objects in the f(R,φ)gravity;R andφrepresent the Ricci curvature and the scalar field, respectively. It is worth noting that we classify the exclusive set of modified field equations using the exponential type model of the f(R,φ)theory of gravity f(R,φ)=φ(R+α(eβR-1)).We show the embedded class-I approach via a static, spherically symmetric spacetime with an anisotropic distribution. To accomplish our objective,we use a particular interpretation of metric potential(grr)that has already been given in the literature and then presume the Karmarkar condition to derive the second metric potential. We employ distinct compact stars to determine the values of unknown parameters emerging in metric potentials. To ensure the viability and consistency of our exponential model,we execute distinct physical evolutions,i.e.the graphical structure of energy density and pressure evolution, mass function, adiabatic index, stability, equilibrium, and energy conditions. Our investigation reveals that the observed anisotropic findings are physically appropriate and have the highest level of precision. 展开更多

Inspired by the f(R) non-linear massive gravity, we propose a new kind of modified gravity model, namely f(T) non-linear massive gravity, by adding the dRGT mass term reformulated in the vierbein formalism, to the f(T) theory. We then investigate the cosmological evolution of f(T) massive gravity, and constrain it by using the latest observational data. We find that it slightly favors a crossing of the phantom divide line from the quintessence-like phase (wae 〉 -1) to the phantom-like one (wae 〈 -1) as redshiff decreases. 展开更多

In this manuscript, the traversable wormhole solutions have been explored in modified f(R,G)gravity by taking into consideration the model f(R,G)=R+rG2,where R is the Ricci curvature scalar and G is the Gauss–Bonnet term.An acceptable form of the redshift function has been incorporated which is a non-constant in nature along with the implementation of those already defined in literature, the two shape functions namely b(r)=r/exp(r-r0)and b(r)=r0log(r+1)/log(r0+1).It is shown by studying the energy condition and through the graphical analysis that the null energy bounds for the effective energy-momentum tensor are generally violated for the presence of the ordinary matter in modified f(R,G)gravity.Energy conditions associated with the matter content threading the wormhole geometries are evaluated and in general are found to favor the null energy conditions in the vicinity of the wormhole throat, the existence of the nonexotic wormhole geometries threaded by the matter has been confirmed under this gravity. 展开更多

In this paper, we consider F(R,T) gravity as a linear function of the curvature and torsion scalars and interact it with logarithmic entropy corrected holographic dark energy to evaluate cosmology solutions. The model is investigated by FRW metric, and then the energy density and the pressure of dark energy are calculated. Also we obtain equation of state(EoS) parameter of dark energy and plot it with respect to both variable of redshift and e-folding number. Finally, we describe the scenario in three status: early, late and future time by e-folding number. 展开更多

We take dust matter to find energy density of the universe. In particular, we find two exact solutions, which correspond to two f(R) models in each case. The first solution provides constant curvature while the second solution corresponds to non-constant curvature. The functions of the Ricci scalar and energy densities are evaluated in each case. 展开更多

This paper examines the stability of the transition from the early decelerating stage of the Universe to the recent accelerating stage for the perfect fluid cosmological locally rotationally symmetric(LRS) Bianchi-I model in f(R, T) theory. To determine the solution of field equations, the idea of a timevarying deceleration parameter(DP) which yields a scale factor, for which the Universe attains a phase transition scenario and is consistent with recent cosmological observations, is used. The time-dependent DP yields a scale factor a=exp■, where β and k are respectively arbitrary and integration constants. By using the recent cons_traints(H_0 _= 73.8, and q_0 =-0.54) from Type Ia Supernova(SN Ia) data in combination with Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations(BAO) and Cosmic Microwave Background(CMB) observations(Giostri et al.), we obtain the values of β = 0.0062 and k = 0.000016 for which we have derived a cosmological model from the early decelerated phase to the present accelerating phase. By applying_ other r_ecent constraints(H_0 = 73.8, q_0 =-0.73) from SNe Ia Union data(Cunha), we obtain the values of β = 0.0036 and k = 0.000084 for which we have derived a cosmological model in the accelerating phase only. We have compared both models with experimental data. The stability of the background solution has been examined also for the metric perturbations alongside the properties of future singularities in a Universe ruled by dark energy with phantom type fluid. We demonstrate the presence of a stable fixed point with a condition of state ω <-1 and numerically affirm this is really a late-time attractor in the ghost overwhelmed Universe. Some physical and geometric properties of the model are found and examined. 展开更多

We consider the cylindrically symmetric spacetime with dissipative anisotropic background. We have determined the structure scalars by orthogonally decomposing the Riemann curvature tensor and it is shown that these scalars are associated with fundamental properties of fluid. We further investigate the mass function along with the transport equation and discuss their role on the evolutionary stages of relativistic stellar systems. We have also analyzed these structure scalars for static fluid distributions and it is concluded that all possible solutions of field equations can be expressed through these scalars. 展开更多

The main objective of this paper is to reveal the evolving traversable wormhole solutions in the context of modified f(R,G)gravity, which affects the gravitational interaction. These results are derived by applying the Karmarkar condition, which creates wormhole geometry that meets the necessary conditions and connects two asymptotically flat areas of spacetime. The proposed study's main goal is to construct the wormhole structures by splitting the f(R,G)gravity model into two forms Firstly,we split the model into an exponential-like f(R)gravity model and a power law f(G)gravity model, and secondly,we consider the Starobinsky f(R)gravity model along with a power law f(G)gravity model.Besides,we address the feasibility of shape functions and the structural analysis of wormhole structures for specific models. These models are then confined to be compatible with current experimental evidence.Further, the energy conditions of the wormhole are geometrically probed, and it is proven that they adhere to the null energy conditions in areas close to the throat. Moreover, the fascinating aspect of this study involves conducting an examination and comparison of evolving wormhole geometries in the vicinity of the throat in our chosen models, utilizing two-and three-dimensional graphical representations. We observe that our shape function acquired through the Karmarkar technique yields validated wormhole configurations with even less exotic matter, correlating to the proper choice of f(R,G)gravity models and acceptable free parameter values. In summary,we conclude that our findings meet all the criteria for the existence of wormholes, affirming the viability and consistency of our study. 展开更多

We find that the measurement on the B-modes can break the degeneracy between the massive neutrinos and the f(R) gravity. We find a non-zero value of the Compton wavelengths B0 at a 68% confidence level for the f(R) model in the presence of massive neutrinos when the BICEP2 data is used. Specifically, we take the spherically symmetric spacetime to discuss the possible emergence of compact stars. We study the physical behavior of compact stars by considering 4 U 1820-30, SAX J1808-3658 and Her X1, which are three popular models of compact stars. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate energy bounds in the context of f(R, G) gravity. To meet this aim, we choose static spherically symmetric spacetime in f(R, G) gravity to develop the field equations. We select three different models of f(R, G) gravity, which are thoroughly discussed in the literature. Firstly, the inequalities are formulated using energy bounds and then viability of the considered models are checked respectively. Graphical analysis show that specific f(R, G) gravity models are satisfied under suitable values of model parameters. It is shown that in a certain case energy bounds are satisfied expect SEC, which supports the late time acceleration expansion of unverse. 展开更多
