The aim of this work is to investigate anisotropic compact objects within the framework of f(G)modified theory of gravity.For our present work,we utilize Krori-Barua metrics,i.e.,λ(r)=Xr^(2)+Y andβ(r)=Zr^(2).We use ...The aim of this work is to investigate anisotropic compact objects within the framework of f(G)modified theory of gravity.For our present work,we utilize Krori-Barua metrics,i.e.,λ(r)=Xr^(2)+Y andβ(r)=Zr^(2).We use some matching conditions of spherically symmetric spacetime with Bardeen's model as an exterior geometry.Further,we establish some expressions of energy density and pressure components to analyze the stellar configuration of Bardeen compact stars by assuming viable f(G)models.We examine the energy conditions for different stellar structures to verify the viability of our considered models.Moreover,we also investigate some other physical features,such as equilibrium condition,equation of state parameters,adiabatic index,stability analysis,mass function,surface redshift,and compactness factor,respectively.It is worthwhile to mention here for the current study that our stellar structure in the background of Bardeen's model is more viable and stable.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the anti-cancer effects and mechanism of modified Liangfu granule(MLFG)in BGC-823 gastric cancer cells.Methods:The drug serum was extracted from abdominal aorta of Wistar rats treated by cyclo...Objective:To investigate the anti-cancer effects and mechanism of modified Liangfu granule(MLFG)in BGC-823 gastric cancer cells.Methods:The drug serum was extracted from abdominal aorta of Wistar rats treated by cyclophosphamide,dioscin,MLFG(high-,medium-,and low-dose),respectively.MTS assay was performed to detect the effect of different concentrations of MLFG and dioscin on cell growth.The effect of MLFG on cellular apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry.Western blot was used to examine Bcl-2 and Akt in BGC-823 cells treated with MLFG.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction assay was performed to determine the expression level of caspase-3,E2F1 and E2F3 genes in cells treated by MLFG-and dioscin-containing serum.Results:MLFG-and dioscin-containing serum inhibited the cell proliferation of BGC-823 cells.MLFG induced gastric carcinoma cell apoptosis and inhibited the expression of Bcl-2 and Akt in a dosedependent manner.MLFG also significantly induced the gene expression of caspase-3 and downregulated E2F1 and E2F3 gene expression.Conclusion:The effect of MLFG and dioscin on inhibiting cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis of gastric cancer cells might be related to the regulation of Bcl-2 and Akt proteins and the expression of caspase-3,E2F1 and E2F3 genes.展开更多

Recently,funds and corporations have adopted environmental/social/governance(ESG)-related criteria as increasingly important criteria when evaluating investments.The ESG scores of mutual funds,which pool money from ma...Recently,funds and corporations have adopted environmental/social/governance(ESG)-related criteria as increasingly important criteria when evaluating investments.The ESG scores of mutual funds,which pool money from many individuals,are,therefore,significant as a sign of social commitment and deliver long-term results for investors deciding in which fund to invest.However,this scoring process is not transparent,and computing ESG scores requires an extensive review and monitoring of accountancy data.In this study,Machine Learning(ML)was employed to predict six ESG scores of 3192 mutual funds by comparing the performance of the models built solely using 13 variables of ESG-controversial sectorial involvement and 37 variables of financial data.In both cases,three classification and three regression algorithms were applied to the 72 simulations.The results demonstrate an acceptable fit of the Random Forest and Gradient Boosting algorithms in regression exercises(R2 values of 60–80%)and good prediction capabilities for classification(accuracies of approximately 70–80%).The models obtained similar performance when predicting ESG scores either from financial data or ESG-controversial sectorial involvement,illustrating how financial variables are good predictors of ESG scores as data on direct involvement in non-ESG funds’activities.Thus,a relationship between the financial performance of a fund and its ESG score exists and is predictable by ML,saving time and resources.展开更多

The statistical features of the Generalized Kumaraswamy Generalized Power Gompertz distribution are systematically derived and adequately studied. The estimation of the model parameters in the absence of censoring and under-right censoring is performed using the method of maximum likelihood. The test statistic for right-censored data, criteria test for GKGPG distribution, estimated matrix Ŵ, Ĉ, and Ĝ, criteria test Y<sup>2</sup>n</sub>, alongside the quadratic form of the test statistic is derived. Mean simulated values of maximum likelihood estimates and their corresponding square mean errors are presented and confirmed to agree closely with the true parameter values. Simulated levels of significance for Y<sup>2</sup>n</sub> (γ) test for the GKGPG model against their theoretical values were recorded. We conclude that the null hypothesis for which simulated samples are fitted by GKGPG distribution is widely validated for the different levels of significance considered. From the summary of the results of the strength of a specific type of braided cord dataset on the GKGPG model, it is observed that the proposed GKGPG model fits the data set for a significance level ε = 0.05.展开更多
